| 1 | Application of next-generation sequencing technology to precision medicine in cancer: joint consensus of the Tumor Biomarker Committee of the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology显示文摘Next-generation sequencing(NGS) technology is capable of sequencing millions or billions of DNA molecules simultaneously.Therefore, it represents a promising tool for the analysis of molecular targets for the initial diagnosis of disease, monitoring of disease progression, and identifying the mechanism of drug resistance. On behalf of the Tumor Biomarker Committee of the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology(CSCO) and the China Actionable Genome Consortium(CAGC), the present expert group hereby proposes advisory guidelines on clinical applications of NGS technology for the analysis of cancer driver genes for precision cancer therapy. This group comprises an assembly of laboratory cancer geneticists, clinical oncologists, bioinformaticians,pathologists, and other professionals. After multiple rounds of discussions and revisions, the expert group has reached a preliminary consensus on the need of NGS in clinical diagnosis, its regulation, and compliance standards in clinical sample collection. | 2 | Metal release/accumulation during the decomposition of Potamogeton crispus in a shallow macrophytic lake显示文摘Changes in metal concentrations in the litter of Potamogeton crispus were monitored during a consecutive 40-day in situ decomposition experiment using the litterbag method.The accumulation index was calculated and used to indicate the changes in the metals in litter.The results showed that the concentrations of Al,Cd,Cr,Fe,Mn,and Pb in litter increased significantly during the decomposition,while Cu and Zn concentrations decreased dramatically.Significant positive correlations were found between the concentrations of Al,Cr,Fe,and Mn and between Cu and Zn.Moreover,Cu and Zn both negatively correlated with Al and Fe.The remaining dry mass was negatively correlated with Al and Fe concentrations but positively correlated with Cu and Zn concentrations.Generally the accumulation index values of metals other than Al were less than one,indicating that the litter of P.crispus acted as a source of metals to the surrounding water body.Al was the only metal that showed continuous net accumulation in litter.The net accumulation of Fe and Mn in litter during the last 10 days of the experiment may indicate the precipitation of Feand Mn-oxides.It was estimated that 160 g/m^2(dry weight)P.crispus was decomposed in40 days.This was equivalent to releasing the following amounts of metals:0.01 mg Cd,0.03 mg Cr,0.71 mg Cu,0.55 mg Mn,0.02 mg Pb and 13.8 mg Zn into surrounding water,and accumulating 149 mg Al and 11 mg Fe,in a 1 m^2 area. | Huanguang Deng Ju Zhang Shiyue Chen Liwei Yang Dongqi Wang Shiyong Yu | 2016 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2016,28,4: | 10 |

| 4 | Epigenetic regulation in B-cell maturation and its dysregulation in autoimmunity显示文摘B cells have a critical role in the initiation and acceleration of autoimmune diseases, especially those mediated byautoantibodies. In the peripheral lymphoid system, mature B cells are activated by self or/and foreign antigens andsignals from helper T cells for differentiating into either memory B cells or antibody-producing plasma cells.Accumulating evidence has shown that epigenetic regulations modulate somatic hypermutation and class switchDNA recombination during B-cell activation and differentiation. Any abnormalities in these complex regulatoryprocesses may contribute to aberrant antibody production, resulting in autoimmune pathogenesis such as systemiclupus erythematosus. | 7 | The FGOALS climate system model as a modeling tool for supporting climate sciences:An overview显示文摘Climate system models are useful tools for understanding the interactions among the components of the climate system and predicting/projecting future climate change. The development of climate models has been a central focus of the State Key Laboratory of Numerical Modeling for Atmospheric Sciences and Geophysical Fluid Dynamics, Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences(LASG/IAP) since the establishment of the laboratory in 1985. In China, many pioneering component models and fully coupled models of the climate system have been developed by LASG/IAP. The fully coupled climate system developed in the recent decade is named FGOALS(Flexible Global Ocean-Atmosphere-Land System Model). In this paper, an application-oriented review of the LASG/IAP FGOALS model is presented. The improved model performances are demonstrated in the context of cloud-radiation processes, Asian monsoon, ENSO phenomena, Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation(AMOC) and sea ice. The FGOALS model has contributed to both CMIP5(Coupled Model Intercomparison Project-phase 5) and IPCC(Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) AR5(the Fifth Assessment Report). The release of FGOALS data has supported the publication of nearly 500 papers around the world. The results of FGOALS are cited ~106 times in the IPCC WG1(Working Group 1) AR5. In addition to the traditional long-term simulations and projections, near-term decadal climate prediction is a new set of CMIP experiment, progress of LAGS/IAP in the development of nearterm decadal prediction system is reviewed. The FGOALS model has supported many Chinese national-level research projects and contributed to the national climate change assessment report. | 12 | The microstructure and magnetization reversal behavior of melt-spun (Nd_(1-x)Ce_x)-Fe-B ribbons显示文摘In this study,the alloy ingots with nominal compositions of(Nd_(1-x)Ce_x)_(31)Fe_(bal)Co_(0.2)Ga_(0.1)B(x=0, 0.1 wt%,0.2 wt%, 0.3 wt%, 0.4 wt%, 0.5 wt%) were prepared and then melt-spun to form nanocrystalline ribbons at the wheel speed of 20 m/s. XRD results show that all melt-spun ribbons exhibit the tetragonal structure(Nd,Ce)_2 Fe_(14)B phase with the space group P42/mmm. The Curie temperature and lattice constant decrease with the increase of Ce content. The Curie temperature decreases gradually from 306 to 247 ℃with the increase of Ce content. Those results indicate that Ce element has been incorporated into Nd_2 Fe_(14)B main crystalline phase and formed(Ce,Nd)-Fe-B hard magnetic phase. It is also found that the remanence ratio(M_r/M_s) decreases from 0.693 to 0.663 and the coercivity(H_c) decreases from 18.7 to14.2 kOe with the increase of Ce content. However, a relatively high coercivity of 18.3 kOe for(Nd_(1-x)Ce_x)_(31)Fe_(bal)Co_(0.2)Ga_(0.1)B(x = 0.2) melt-spun ribbon is achieved. The coercivity is sensitive to microstructure. The AFM patterns show the sample(x = 0.2) has the most uniform and finest microstructure. The magnetization reversal behavior(δM plots) is discussed in detail. The positive δM value is observed in every sample, which confirms the existence of exchange coupling interaction. Evidently, theδM maximum value reaches 0.9 in the sample(x = 0.2). | 13 | Quantifying extreme climatic conditions for maize production using RZWQM in Siping,Northeast China显示文摘Climate change has a great influence on agricultural production,especially under extreme climatic conditions.In this study,Root Zone Water Quality Model(RZWQM)was used to predict grain yields of maize in the Siping region,Jilin Province,Northeast China during the period from 1951 to 2015;and the response of grain yield to main climatic variables was qualitatively analyzed,especially in three special years of 1954,2000 and 2009.Results showed that 1℃ increase for minimum,maximum and mean air temperatures may produce 1224 kg/hm^(2),1860 kg/hm^(2) and 1540 kg/hm^(2) more grain yields,respectively,and seasonal rainfall amount of less than 450 mm,especially at the flowering and grain filling stages,greatly reduced grain yields.In the years of 1954,2000 and 2009,grain yields were reduced by 41%,47%and 40%compared to their mean value,respectively,correspondingly because of extra low temperature(lower by 2.1℃-2.3℃),less rainfall at the grain filling stage(36 mm)and extra high temperature(higher by 1.7℃-1.8℃),and less seasonal rainfall(252 mm).To reduce extreme climate’s effects on grain yield,it is suggested that supplementary irrigation at the flowering and grain filling stages should be provided when rainfall is much less at this stage and also appropriate maize species based on the longtime weather forecast should be selected. | Haijun Liu Yu Liu Liwei Zhang Zhijun Zhang Zhuangzhuang Gao | 2019 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2019,12,2: | 3 |
