| 3 | Synthesis of rod-like metal-organic framework(MOF-5)nanomaterial for efficient removal of U(Ⅵ):batch experiments and spectroscopy study显示文摘With the widespread application of radionuclide235 U(Ⅵ), it is inevitable that part of U(Ⅵ) is released into the natural environment. The potential toxicity and irreversibility impact on the natural environment has become one of the most forefront pollution problems in nuclear energy utilization. In this work, rod-like metal-organic framework(MOF-5) nanomaterial was synthesized by a solvothermal method and applied to efficiently adsorb U(Ⅵ) from aqueous solutions. The batch experimental results showed that the sorption of U(Ⅵ) on MOF-5 was strongly dependent on p H and independent of ionic strength, indicating that the dominant interaction mechanism was inner-sphere surface complexation and electrostatic interaction. The maximum sorption capacity of U(Ⅵ) on MOF-5 was 237.0 mg/g at p H 5.0 and T = 298 K, and the sorption equilibrium reached within 5 min. The thermodynamic parameters indicated that the removal of U(Ⅵ) on MOF-5 was a spontaneous and endothermic process. Additionally, the FT-IR and XPS analyses implied that the high sorption capacity of U(Ⅵ) on MOF-5 was mainly attributed to the abundant oxygen-containing functional groups(i.e., CAO and C@O). | 5 | Deep learning based classification of rock structure of tunnel face显示文摘The automated interpretation of rock structure can improve the efficiency,accuracy,and consistency of the geological risk assessment of tunnel face.Because of the high uncertainties in the geological images as a result of different regional rock types,as well as in-situ conditions(e.g.,temperature,humidity,and construction procedure),previous automated methods have limited performance in classification of rock structure of tunnel face during construction.This paper presents a framework for classifying multiple rock structures based on the geological images of tunnel face using convolutional neural networks(CNN),namely Inception-ResNet-V2(IRV2).A prototype recognition system is implemented to classify 5 types of rock structures including mosaic,granular,layered,block,and fragmentation structures.The proposed IRV2 network is trained by over 35,000 out of 42,400 images extracted from over 150 sections of tunnel faces and tested by the remaining 7400 images.Furthermore,different hyperparameters of the CNN model are introduced to optimize the most efficient algorithm parameter.Among all the discussed models,i.e.,ResNet-50,ResNet-101,and Inception-v4,Inception-ResNet-V2 exhibits the best performance in terms of various indicators,such as precision,recall,F-score,and testing time per image.Meanwhile,the model trained by a large database can obtain the object features more comprehensively,leading to higher accuracy.Compared with the original image classification method,the sub-image method is closer to the reality considering both the accuracy and the perspective of error divergence.The experimental results reveal that the proposed method is optimal and efficient for automated classification of rock structure using the geological images of the tunnel face. | Jiayao Chen Tongjun Yang Dongming Zhang Hongwei Huang Yu Tian | 2021 | Geoscience Frontiers2021,12,1: | 13 |

The mission aims at determining the equation of state of matter at supra-nuclear density, measuring effects of QED, and understanding the dynamics of matter in strong-field gravity. In addition to investigating fundamental physics, eXTP will be a very powerful observatory for astrophysics that will provide observations of unprecedented quality on a variety of galactic and extragalactic objects. | 9 | The High Energy X-ray telescope (HE) onboard the Insight-HXMT astronomy satellite显示文摘The Insight-Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope(Insight-HXMT) is a broadband X-ray and γ-ray(1-3000 ke V) astronomy satellite. One of its three main telescopes is the High Energy X-ray telescope(HE). The main detector plane of HE comprises 18 Na I(Tl)/Cs I(Na) phoswich detectors, where Na I(Tl) is used as the primary detector to measure ~ 20-250 ke V photons incident from the field of view(FOV) defined by collimators, and Cs I(Na) is used as the active shielding detector to Na I(Tl) by pulse shape discrimination. Additionally, Cs I(Na) is used as an omnidirectional γ-ray monitor. The HE collimators have a diverse FOV,i.e. 1.1°×5.7°(15 units), 5.7°×5.7°(2 units), and blocked(1 unit). Therefore, the combined FOV of HE is approximately5.7°×5.7°. Each HE detector has a diameter of 190 mm resulting in a total geometrical area of approximately 5100 cm2, and the energy resolution is ~15% at 60 ke V. For each recorded X-ray event by HE, the timing accuracy is less than 10 μs and the deadtime is less than 10 μs. HE is used for observing spectra and temporal variability of X-ray sources in the 20-250 ke V band either by pointing observations for known sources or scanning observations to unveil new sources. Additionally, HE is used for monitoring the γ-ray burst in 0.2-3 Me V band. | 10 | Analysis of genetic architecture and favorable allele usage of agronomic traits in a large collection of Chinese rice accessions显示文摘Genotyping and phenotyping large natural populations provide opportunities for population genomic analysis and genome-wide association studies(GWAS). Several rice populations have been re-sequenced in the past decade;however, many major Chinese rice cultivars were not included in these studies. Here, we report large-scale genomic and phenotypic datasets for a collection mainly comprised of 1,275 rice accessions of widely planted cultivars and parental hybrid rice lines from China. The population was divided into three indica/Xian and three japonica/Geng phylogenetic subgroups that correlate strongly with their geographic or breeding origins. We acquired a total of 146 phenotypic datasets for 29 agronomic traits under multi-environments for different subpopulations. With GWAS, we identified a total of 143 significant association loci, including three newly identified candidate genes or alleles that control heading date or amylose content. Our genotypic analysis of agronomically important genes in the population revealed that many favorable alleles are underused in elite accessions, suggesting they may be used to provide improvements in future breeding efforts. | 11 | Function of note strings in Japanese Tit alarm calls to the Common Cuckoo:a playback experiment显示文摘Background: Birds produce alarm calls to convey information about threats. Some Passerine alarm calls consist of several note strings, but few studies have examined their function. Previous studies have shown that Japanese Tits(Parus minor) can alter the calling rate and number and combination of notes in response to predators. We previously found the combinations of note types in Japanese Tit alarm calls to be significantly different in response to the Sparrowhawk(Accipiter nisus) and Common Cuckoo(Cuculus canorus).Methods: Through playback experiments, we tested whether the note strings in Japanese Tit alarm calls to the Common Cuckoo have different functions in conveying information. The note strings of selected alarm calls were divided into the categories of C and D, and different calls were then constructed separately based on the two note string categories. Original alarm calls(C–D), C calls and D calls were played back to male Japanese Tits during the incubation period.Results: Male Japanese Tits had a significantly stronger response to C calls than to C–D calls, and they showed a significantly stronger response to both C and C–D calls than to D calls, suggesting that Japanese Tits discriminated between the C and D calls.Conclusions: Our study demonstrated that the C-and D-category note strings of Japanese Tit alarm calls to the Common Cuckoo have different functions, which supports the previous finding that different note strings in an alarm call can provide different information to receivers. Various methods were used to improve the stability of bulk perovskites,including compositional engineering, interface adjustment, dimensional manipulation, crystal engineering, and grain boundary decoration. Diverse device configurations, carrier transporting layers, and counter electrodes are investigated. To compare the stability of PSCs and clarify the degradation mechanism, diverse characterization methods were developed. Overall stability of PSCs has become one central topic for the development of PSCs. In a 2.8-ton fiducial mass and the signal region between 1-10 keV electron equivalent energy, the total electron recoil background is found to be 4.9 × 10^(-5) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). The nuclear recoil background in the same region is 2.8 × 10^(-7) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). | 18 | Effects of the Fhb1 gene on Fusarium head blight resistance and agronomic traits of winter wheat显示文摘The gene Fhb1 has been used in many countries to improve wheat Fusarium head blight(FHB) resistance. To make better use of this gene in the Yellow-Huai River Valleys Winter Wheat Zone(YHWZ), the most important wheat-producing region of China, it is desirable to elucidate its effects on FHB resistance and agronomic traits in different genetic backgrounds. Based on a diagnostic marker for Fhb1, six BC2 populations were developed by crossing dwarf-male-sterile(DMS)-Zhoumai 16 to three Fhb1 donors(Ningmai 9, Ningmai 13, and Jianyang 84) and backcrossing to Zhoumai 16 and Zhoumai16’s derivative cultivars(Lunxuan 136 and Lunxuan 13) using marker-assisted backcross breeding. The progenies were assessed for FHB resistance and major agronomic traits.The Fhb1 alleles were identified using the gene-specific molecular marker. The plants with the Fhb1-resistant genotype(Fhb1-R) in these populations showed significantly fewer infected spikelets than those with the Fhb1-susceptible genotype(Fhb1-S). When Lunxuan 136 was used as the recurrent parent, Fhb1-R plants showed significantly fewer infected spikelets per spike than Fhb1-R plants produced using Lunxuan 13 as the recurrent parent, indicating that the genetic backgrounds of Fhb1 influence the expression of FHB resistance. Fhb1-R plants from the DMS-Zhoumai 16/Ningmai 9//Zhoumai 16/3/Lunxuan 136 population showed the highest FHB resistance among the six populations and a significantly higher level of FHB resistance than the moderately susceptible control Huaimai 20. No significant phenotypic differences between Fhb1-R and Fhb1-S plants were observed for the eight agronomic traits investigated. In this study, we evaluated the expression of this protein in lung tumor tissues and subsequently established a NCI-H520 cell line that stably expresses the wild-type ANXA5 gene to determine the effects of annexin A5 upregulation on the cell morphology, proliferation and metastasis potential in vitro.The effects of annexin A5 on NCI-H520 cells were tested by crystal violet staining, CCK-8 assay, scratch wound assay, and Transwell assay. The expressions of Akt,PCNA, vimentin, and E-cadherin were examined by Western blot assay. In this study, we demonstrated that annexin A5 is expressed at lower levels in tumor tissues compared with normal tissues. Additionally, the upregulation of this protein may inhibit the proliferation, migration, and invasion abilities of NCI-H520 cells in vitro.
