Targeting ferroptosis suppresses osteocyte glucolipotoxicity and alleviates diabetic osteoporosis显示文摘Diabetic osteoporosis(DOP) is the leading complication continuously threatening the bone health of patients with diabetes. A key pathogenic factor in DOP is loss of osteocyte viability. However, the mechanism of osteocyte death remains unclear. Here, we identified ferroptosis, which is iron-dependent programmed cell death, as a critical mechanism of osteocyte death in murine models of DOP. The diabetic microenvironment significantly enhanced osteocyte ferroptosis in vitro, as shown by the substantial lipid peroxidation, iron overload, and aberrant activation of the ferroptosis pathway. RNA sequencing showed that heme oxygenase-1(HO-1) expression was notably upregulated in ferroptotic osteocytes. Further findings revealed that HO-1 was essential for osteocyte ferroptosis in DOP and that its promoter activity was controlled by the interaction between the upstream NRF2 and c-JUN transcription factors. Targeting ferroptosis or HO-1 efficiently rescued osteocyte death in DOP by disrupting the vicious cycle between lipid peroxidation and HO-1 activation, eventually ameliorating trabecular deterioration. Our study provides insight into DOP pathogenesis, and our results provide a mechanism-based strategy for clinical DOP treatment. | Yiqi Yang Yixuan Lin Minqi Wang Kai Yuan Qishan Wang Pei Mu Jingke Du Zhifeng Yu Shengbing Yang Kai Huang Yugang Wang Hanjun Li Tingting Tang | 2022 | Bone Research2022,10,3: | 19
Attribution of PM_(2.5) exposure in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region to emissions:implication to control strategies显示文摘The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei(BTH) region is one of the most heavily polluted regions in China, with both high PM_(2.5) concentrations and a high population density.A quantitative source-receptor relationship can provide valuable insights that can inform effective emission control strategies. Both source apportionment(SA) and source sensitivity(SS) can provide such information from different perspectives. In this study, both methods are applied in northern China to identify the most significant emission categories and source regions for PM_(2.5) exposure in BTH in 2013.Despite their differences, both models show similar distribution patterns for population and simulated PM_(2.5) concentrations, resulting in overall high PM_(2.5) exposure values(approximately 110 μg/m~) and particularly high exposure values during the winter(approximately 200 μ/m~).Both methods show that local emissions play a dominant role(70%),with some contribution from surrounding provinces(e.g.,Shandong) via regional transport. The two methods also agree on the priority of local emission controls:both identify industrial, residential, and agricultural emissions as the top three categories that should be controlled locally. In addition, the effect of controlling agricultural ammonia emissions is approximately doubled when the co-benefits of reducing nitrate are considered. The synthesis of SA and SS for addressing specific categories of emissions provides a quantitative basis for the development of emission control strategies and policies for controlling PM_(2.5)in China. | Xin Li Qiang Zhang Yang Zhang Lin Zhang Yuxuan Wang Qianqian Zhang Meng Li Yixuan Zheng Guannan Geng Timothy J.Wallington Weijian Han Wei Shen Kebin He | 2017 | Science Bulletin2017,62,13: | 15
Manipulation of Band Degeneracy and Lattice Strain for Extraordinary PbTe Thermoelectrics显示文摘Maximizing band degeneracy and minimizing phonon relaxation time are proven to be successful for advancing thermoelectrics.Alloying with monotellurides has been known to be an effective approach for converging the valence bands of PbTe for electronic improvements, while the lattice thermal conductivity of the materials remains available room for being further reduced. It is recently revealed that the broadening of phonon dispersion measures the strength of phonon scattering, and lattice dislocations are particularly effective sources for such broadening through lattice strain fluctuations. In this work,a fine control of MnTe and EuTe alloying enables a significant increase in density of electron states near the valence band edge of PbTe due to involvement of multiple transporting bands, while the creation of dense in-grain dislocations leads to an effective broadening in phonon dispersion for reduced phonon lifetime due to the large strain fluctuations of dislocations as confirmed by synchrotron X-ray diffraction. The synergy of both electronic and thermal improvements successfully leads the average thermoelectric figure of merit to be higher than that ever reported for p-type PbTe at working temperatures. | Yixuan Wu Pengfei Nan Zhiwei Chen Zezhu Zeng Siqi Lin Xinyue Zhang Hongliang Dong Zhiqiang Chen Hongkai Gu Wen Li Yue Chen Binghui Ge Yanzhong Pei | 2020 | Research2020,,1: | 6
Spatial pattern and drivers of urbanization in China's mid-level developing urban agglomeration:A case study of Chang-Zhu-Tan显示文摘Urban agglomeration has become the main form of regional spatial organization in China. While most of the existing studies of urban agglomeration in China have focused on the eastern coastal areas, urban agglomeration with mid-level development in the rest of the country has been overlooke1.To better understand the urbanization process of the mid-level developing urban agglomeration, this study investigated the clustering pattern and the drivers of both urban population and firm dynamics during 2005-2015 in the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan(Chang-Zhu-Tan)urban agglomeration of China using the methods ofkernel density estimation and geographic detection. Our results show that centralization was obvious, although decentralization also occurred in Chang-Zhu-Tan,and that the spatial agglomeration was promoted by several factors, such as administrative resources, location advantage, labor cost, and consumption capacity. Some problems hindering the development of this region were also discovered:administrative resources played a critical role in urbanization because small towns and villages did not receive enough attention, and the effect of local policy was not as beneficial as expected. These findings partly explain the relatively slow development of mid-level developing urban agglomerations and have important implications for promoting healthier urbanization. | Yanhua He Yi Lin Guohua Zhou Yixuan Zhu Kai Tang | 2021 | Regional Sustainability2021,2,1: | 6
Identification and Characterization of a New IgE-binding Protein in Mackerel (Scomber japonicus) by MALDI-TOF-MS显示文摘As fish is one source of the ‘big eight’ food allergens, the prevalence of fish allergy has increased over the past few years. In order to better understand fish allergy,it is necessary to identify fish allergens.Based on the sera from fish-allergenic patients,a 28 kDa protein from local mackerel (Scomber japonicus),which has not been reported as a fish allergen, was found to be reactive with most of the patients’ sera. The 28 kDa protein was analyzed by MALDI-TOF-MS (Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometry).Mascot search in NCBI database (Date: 08/07/2010) showed that the top protein matched,i.e.triosephosphate isomerase (TPI) from Xiphophorus maculatus and Poecilia reticulata, had a mowse (molecular weight search) score of 98.In addition,TPI from Epinephelus coioides also matched this mackerel protein with a mowse score of 96.Because TPI is con-sidered as an allergen in other non-fish organisms, such as lychee, wheat, latex, archaeopotamobius (Archaeopotamobius sibiriensis) and crangon (Crangon crangon),we consider that it may also be an allergen in mackerel. | WANG Bangping LI Zhenxing ZHENG Lina LIU Yixuan LIN Hong | 2011 | Journal of Ocean University of China2011,10,1: | 5

Do modified audit opinions have economic consequences? Empirical evidence based on financial constraints显示文摘We present a framework and empirical evidence to explain why,on average,11%of listed firms in China received modified audit opinions(MAOs)between 1992 and 2009.We argue that there are two reasons for this phenomenon:strong earnings management incentives lower firms'financial reporting quality and soft budget constraints weaken the information and governance roles of audit opinions. We find that firms'financial constraints eased after receiving MAOs,which suggests that MAOs have limited economic consequences.Further analysis shows that this phenomenon predominantly exists in government-controlled firms and firms that receive MAOs for the first time.We also find that MAOs have not influenced financial constraints after 2006.Finally,we find that MAOs did not affect borrowing cash flows from banks until 2005,suggesting that MAOs did not start affecting bank financing until that year.We also find that firms receive more related-party financing after receiving MAOs.Our results indicate that a limited effect on bank financing and increased related-party financing reduce the effect of MAOs on financial constraints. | Zhiwei Lin Yihong Jiang Yixuan Xu | 2011 | China Journal of Accounting Research2011,,3: | 4
Generation and characterization of stable pig pregastrulation epiblast stem cell lines显示文摘Pig epiblast-derived pluripotent stem cells are considered to have great potential and broad prospects for human therapeutic model developme nt and livestock breeding.Despite on going attempts since the 1990s,no stably defined pig epiblast-derived stem cell line has bee n established. Here, guided by in sights from a large-scale sin gle-cell tran scriptome an alysis of pig embryos from embryonic day(E)0 to E14,specifically,the tracing of pluripotency changes during epiblast development,we developed an in vitro culture medium for establishing and maintaining stable pluripotent stem cell lines from pig E10 pregastrulation epiblasts(pgEpiSCs).Enabled by chemical inhibition of WNT-related signaling in combination with growth factors in the FGF/ERK,JAK/STAT3,and Activin/Nodal pathways,pgEpiSCs maintain their pluripotency transcriptome features, similar to those of E10 epiblast cells, and normal karyotypes after more than 240 passages and have the potential to differentiate into three germ layers.Strikingly, ultradeep in situ Hi-C analysis revealed functional impacts of chromatin 3D-spatial associations on the transcriptional regulation of pluripote ncy marker genes in pgEpiSCs.I n practice,we con firmed that pgEpiSCs readily tolerate at least three rounds of successive gene editi ng and gene rated cloned gen e-edited live piglets. Our findings deliver on the long-a nticipated promise of pig pluripote nt stem cells and open new avenues for biological research, animal husbandry, and regenerative biomedicine. | Minglei Zhi Jinying Zhang Qianzi Tang Dawei Yu Shuai Gao Dengfeng Gao Pengliang Liu Jianxiong Guo Tang Hai Jie Gao Suying Cao Zimo Zhao Chongyang Li Xiaogang Weng Mengnan He Tianzhi Chen Yingjie Wang Keren Long Deling Jiao Guanglei Li Jiaman Zhang Yan Liu Yu Lin Daxin Pang Qianqian Zhu Naixin Chen Jingjing Huang Xinze Chen Yixuan Yao Jingcang Yang Zicong Xie Xianya Huang Mengxin Liu Ran Zhang Qiuyan Li Yiliang Miao Jianhui Tian Xingxu Huang Hongsheng Ouyang Bofeng Liu Wei Xie Qi Zhou Zhonghua Liu Caihong Zheng Mingzhou Li Jianyong Han | 2022 | Cell Research2022,32,4: | 3
Acidification and bubble template derived porous g-C_(3)N_(4) for efficient photodegradation and hydrogen evolution显示文摘Graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4))as a metal-free candidate of photocatalyst has received worldwide attention because of its great potentials in solar light-induced degradation and hydrogen evolution, yet the industrial application is seriously hindered by the small specific surface area and rapid recombination rate of carriers.Herein,we demonstrate that porous g-C_(3)N_(4)(HCl-CNU-X)can be prepared via the copolymerization of acidified melamine and a green bubble template(urea).Transmission electron microscopy and nitrogen sorption characterization results show that the prepared HCl-CNU-X possesses an in-plane porous structure and large specific surface area, enabling the exposure of more accessible active sites. As a result,HCl-CNU-X exhibits both enhanced photocatalytic tetracycline hydrochloride degradation and higher hydrogen evolution than bulk g-C_(3)N_(4).The boosted photocatalytic performance was ascribed to the formation of the porous structure, which dramatically promotes the separation of charge-carriers and facilitates the electron transfer. This work demonstrates that the acidification of nitrogen-rich precursors combined with a bubble-template can develop a new paradigm of highly porous photocatalysts for environmental remediation and water splitting. | Yixuan Wang Fengting He Lin Chen Jie Shang Jiajia Wang Shuaijun Wang Huimin Song Jinqiang Zhang Chaocheng Zhao Shaobin Wang Hongqi Sun | 2020 | Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,10: | 1
Synergetic roadmap of carbon neutrality and clean air for China显示文摘It is well recognized that carbon dioxide and air pollutants share similar emission sources so that synergetic policies on climate change mitigation and air pollution control can lead to remarkable co-benefits on greenhouse gas reduction, air quality improvement, and improved health. In the context of carbon peak, carbon neutrality, and clean air policies, this perspective tracks and analyzes the process of the synergetic governance of air pollution and climate change in China by developing and monitoring 18 indicators. The 18 indicators cover the following five aspects:air pollution and associated weather-climate conditions, progress in structural transition, sources, inks, and mitigation pathway of atmospheric composition, health impacts and benefits of coordinated control, and synergetic governance system and practices.By tracking the progress in each indicator, this perspective presents the major accomplishment of coordinated control, identifies the emerging challenges toward the synergetic governance, and provides policy recommendations for designing a synergetic roadmap of Carbon Neutrality and Clean Air for China. | Qiang Zhang Zhicong Yin Xi Lu Jicheng Gong Yu Lei Bofeng Cai Cilan Cai Qimin Chai Huopo Chen Hancheng Dai Zhanfeng Dong Guannan Geng Dabo Guan Jianlin Hu Cunrui Huang Jianing Kang Tiantian Li Wei Li Yongsheng Lin Jun Liu Xin Liu Zhu Liu Jinghui Ma Guofeng Shen Dan Tong Xuhui Wang Xuying Wang Zhili Wang Yang Xie Honglei Xu Tao Xue Bing Zhang Da Zhang Shaohui Zhang Shaojun Zhang Xian Zhang Bo Zheng Yixuan Zheng Tong Zhu Jinnan Wang Kebin He | 2023 | Environmental Science and Ecotechnology2023,,4: | 0
On-surface synthesis and edge states of NBN-doped zigzag graphene nanoribbons显示文摘Zigzag graphene nanoribbons(ZGNRs)with spin-polarized edge states have potential applications in carbon-based spintronics. The electronic structure of ZGNRs can be effectively tuned by different widths or dopants, which requires delicately designed monomers. Here,we report the successful synthesis of ZGNR with a width of eight carbon zigzag lines and nitrogen-boronnitrogen(NBN)motifs decorated along the zigzag edges(NBN-8-ZGNR)on Au(111)surface,which starts from a specially designed U-shaped monomer with preinstalled NBN units at the zigzag edge.Chemical-bond-resolved non-contact atomic force microscopy(nc-AFM)imaging confirms the zigzag-terminated edges and the existence of NBN dopants. The electronic states distributed along the zigzag edges have been revealed after a silicon-layer intercalation at the interface of NBN-8-ZGNR and Au(111).Our work enriches the ZGNR family with a new dopant and larger width, which provides more candidates for future carbonbased nanoelectronic and spintronic applications. | Xiao Chang Li Huang Yixuan Gao Yubin Fu Ji Ma Huan Yang Junzhi Liu Xiaoshuai Fu Xiao Lin Xinliang Feng Shixuan Du Hong-Jun Gao | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,7: | 0
High-efficiency removal of NOx by a novel integrated chemical absorption and two-stage bioreduction process using magnetically stabilized fluidized bed reactors显示文摘To enhance the bioregeneration of Fe(II)EDTA and to avoid the inhibition of the components in nitrogen oxides(NOx) scrubbing solution, a novel integrated process of metal chelate absorption and two-stage bioreduction was developed. In this process, magnetically stabilized fluidized beds(MSFB) were used as the bioreactors, and the phase diagram for the MSFB operation was determined. Factors including inlet NO, O2 and SO2 concentrations, magnetic field intensity, gas flow rate and liquid circulation rate, were studied experimentally to investigate their effects on NO removal. In addition, a mathematical model for NO removal in this integrated system was developed. The results revealed that the integrated system could be steadily operated with a high NO removal efficiency and elimination capacity, even under the condition of high NO and O2 shock-loading. The established model showed that NO removal efficiency was related to the spray column property and the active Fe(II)EDTA concentration, while the latter depends on the bioregeneration of the disabled absorbent in the MSFB. | Zuoming Zhou Tianming Lin Guohua Jing Bihong Lv Yixuan Liu | 2015 | Science China Chemistry2015,58,10: | 0
Evolution and controlling factors of the gravity flow deposits in the Miocene sequence stratigraphic framework, the Lower Congo-Congo Fan Basin,West Africa显示文摘To understand the evolution of the Miocene gravity flow deposits in the Lower Congo-Congo Fan Basin, this paper documents the Miocene sequence stratigraphic framework, the depositional characteristics and the controlling factors of the gravity flow system.Based on the establishment of high-resolution sequence stratigraphic framework, lithofacies characteristics and sedimentary units of the gravity flow deposits in the region are identified by using seismic, well logging and core data comprehensively, and the sedimentary evolution process is revealed and the controlling factors are discussed. The Miocene can be divided into four 3 rd-order sequences(SQ1-SQ4).The gravity flow deposits mainly include siliciclastic rock and pelite. The main sedimentary units include slumping deposits, mass transport deposits(MTD),channel fills,levee-overbank deposits, and frontal lobes. In the Early Miocene(SQ1),mainly gull-wing,weakly restricted to unrestricted depositional channel-overbank complexes and lobes were formed. In the early Middle Miocene(SQ2),W-shaped and weakly restricted erosional-depositional channels(multi-phase superposition)were subsequently developed. In the late Middle Miocene(SQ3),primarily U-shaped and restricted erosional channels were developed. In the Late Miocene(SQ4),largely V-shaped and deeply erosional isolated channels were formed in the study area.Climate cooling and continuous fall of the sea level made the study area change from toe of slope-submarine plain to lower continental slope, middle continental slope and finally to upper continental slope, which in turn affected the strength of the gravity flow. The three times of tectonic uplifting and climate cooling in the West African coast provided abundant sediment supply for the development of gravity flow deposits.Multistage activities of salt structures played important roles in redirecting, restricting, blocking and destroying the gravity flow deposits.Clarifying the characteristics, evolution and controlling factors of the Miocene gravity flow deposits in the Lower Congo-Congo Fan Basin can provide reference for deep-water petroleum exploration in this basin. | CHEN Hua LIN Changsong ZHANG Zhongmin ZHANG Demin LI Ming WU Gaokui ZHU Yixuan XU Hai LU Wenming CHEN Jihua | 2021 | Petroleum Exploration and Development2021,48,1: | 0
TFM imaging of aeroengine casing ring forgings with curved surfaces using acoustic field threshold segmentation and vector coherence factor显示文摘The aeroengine casing ring forgings have complex cross-section shapes, when the conventional ultrasonic or phased array is applied to detect such curved surfaces, the inspection images always have low resolution and even artifacts due to the distortion of the wave beam.In this article, taking a type of aeroengine casing ring forging as an example, the Total Focusing Method(TFM)algorithms for curved surfaces are investigated.First, the Acoustic Field Threshold Segmentation(AFTS)algorithm is proposed to reduce background noise and data calculation.Furthermore, the Vector Coherence Factor(VCF)is adopted to improve the lateral resolution of the TFM imaging. Finally,a series of 0.8 mm diameter Side-Drilled Holes(SDHs)are machined below convex and concave surfaces of the specimen. The quantitative comparison of the detection images using the conventional TFM,AFTS-TFM,VCF-TFM,and AFTS-VCF-TFM is implemented in terms of data volume, imaging Signal-to-Noise Ratio(SNR),and defect echo width. The results show that compared with conventional TFM,the data volume of AFTS-VCF-TFM algorithm for convex and concave is decreased by 32.39%and 73.40%,respectively.Moreover,the average SNR of the AFTS-VCF-TFM is gained up to 40.0 dB,while the average 6 dB-drop echo width of defects is reduced to 0.74 mm. | Shanyue GUAN Xiaokai WANG Lin HUA Yixuan LI | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2022,35,11: | 0

Toward batch synthesis of high-quality graphene by cold-wall chemical vapor deposition approach显示文摘Chemical vapor deposition(CVD)has emerged as a promising approach for the controlled growth of graphene films with appealing scalability, controllability, and uniformity. However, the synthesis of high-quality graphene films still suffers from low production capacity and high energy consumption in the conventional hot-wall CVD system. In contrast, owing to the different heating mode,cold-wall CVD(CW-CVD)system exhibits promising potential for the industrial-scale production, but the quality of as-received graphene remains inferior with limited domain size and high defect density.Herein,we demonstrated an efficient method for the batch synthesis of high-quality graphene films with millimeter-sized domains based on CW-CVD system. With reduced defect density and improved properties, the as-received graphene was proven to be promising candidate material for electronics and anti-corrosion application. This study provides a new insight into the quality improvement of graphene derived from CW-CVD system, and paves a new avenue for the industrial production of high-quality graphene films for potential commercial applications. | Kaicheng Jia Ziteng Ma Wendong Wang Yongliang Wen Huanxin Li Yeshu Zhu Jiawei Yang Yuqing Song Jiaxin Shao Xiaoting Liu Qi Lu Yixuan Zhao Jianbo Yin Luzhao Sun Hailin Peng Jincan Zhang Li Lin Zhongfan Liu | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,11: | 0
