1The average errors for Hermite-Fejr interpolation on the Wiener space显示文摘For 1≤ p < ∞, firstly we prove that for an arbitrary set of distinct nodes in [-1, 1], it is impossible that the errors of the Hermite-Fejr interpolation approximation in L p -norm are weakly equivalent to the corresponding errors of the best polynomial approximation for all continuous functions on [-1, 1]. Secondly, on the ground of probability theory, we discuss the p-average errors of Hermite-Fejr interpolation sequence based on the extended Chebyshev nodes of the second kind on the Wiener space. By our results we know that for 1≤ p < ∞ and 2≤ q < ∞, the p-average errors of Hermite-Fejr interpolation approximation sequence based on the extended Chebyshev nodes of the second kind are weakly equivalent to the p-average errors of the corresponding best polynomial approximation sequence for L q -norm approximation. 2Techniques for detecting protein-protein interactions in living cells:principles, limitations, and recent progress显示文摘Detecting protein-protein interactions(PPIs) provides fundamental information for understanding biochemical processes such as the transduction of signals from one cellular location to another; however, traditional biochemical techniques cannot provide sufficient spatio-temporal information to elucidate these molecular interactions in living cells. Over the past decade, several new techniques have enabled the identification and characterization of PPIs. In this review, we summarize three main techniques for detecting PPIs in vivo, focusing on their basic principles and applications in biological studies. We place a special emphasis on their advantages and limitations, and, in particular, we introduced some uncommon new techniques, such as single-molecule FRET(smFRET), FRET-fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy(FRET-FLIM), cytoskeleton-based assay for protein-protein interaction(CAPPI) and single-molecule protein proximity index(smPPI), highlighting recent improvements to the established techniques. 3ERP dissociation and connection between implicit and explicit memory显示文摘ERP dissociations between implicit and explicit memory have been confirmed by a large amount of evidence in theories of human memory. However, similarities between the two forms of memory have scarcely been studied. A possibility is that while implicit memory and explicit memory have independ- ent components, they might additionally have shared components. To explore this question, an ERP experiment was conducted with a study-to-test paradigm, in which participants performed a 'shallow' (color) study task or a 'deep' (pleasant) study task, followed by either a lexical decision (implicit) test (Section 1) or a recognition (explicit) test (Section 2). An interference task was performed concurrently with either the encoding or the retrieval phase of the memory task for encoding interference condition or retrieval interference condition. We compared ERP signatures of implicit and explicit memory as a function of depth of processing or interference. Under the action of the same variables, 300―500 ms old/new ERP effects of implicit and explicit memory showed the same trend. These effects maybe all link with a perceptual representational system. 500―700 ms old/new ERP effects of the two memories were dissociated. They may probably reflect voluntary and involuntary recollection respectively. 7Sintering of WC-Co powder with nanocrystalline WC by spark plasma sintering显示文摘A 92WC-8Co powder mixture with 33 nm WC grains was prepared by strengthening ball milling and was then sintered by spark plasma sintering (SPS) at 1000-1200°C for 5-18 min under 10-25 kN, respectively. Movement of the posi-tion of low punch shown shrinkage of the sintered body began above 800°C. The shrinkage slowly rose as the temperature rose from 800 to 1000°C and then quickly rose at above 1000°C and then gradually rose at above 1150°C. The densities of the samples increased with an increase in sintering temperature, rapidly below 1100°C, and then gradually above 1100°C. WC grains grow gradually with increasing sintering temperature. The powder was sintered to near full density at 1100°C for 5 min under 10 kN. The best result of the sample with 275 nm WC grains and no pores was obtained at 1150°C under 10 kN for 5 min. 8The genome of Medicago polymorpha provides insights into its edibility and nutritional value as a vegetable and forage legume显示文摘Medicago polymorpha is a nutritious and palatable forage and vegetable plant that also fixes nitrogen.Here,we reveal the chromosome-scale genome sequence of M.polymorpha using an integrated approach including Illumina,PacBio and Hi-C technologies.We combined PacBio full-length RNA-seq,metabolomic analysis,structural anatomy analysis and related physiological indexes to elucidate the important agronomic traits of M.polymorpha for forage and vegetable usage.The assembled M.polymorpha genome consisted of 457.53Mb with a long scaffold N50 of 57.72Mb,and 92.92%(441.83Mb)of the assembly was assigned to seven pseudochromosomes.Comparative genomic analysis revealed that expansion and contraction of the photosynthesis and lignin biosynthetic gene families,respectively,led to enhancement of nutritious compounds and reduced lignin biosynthesis in M.polymorpha.In addition,we found that several positively selected nitrogen metabolism-related genes were responsible for crude protein biosynthesis.Notably,the metabolomic results revealed that a large number of flavonoids,vitamins,alkaloids,and terpenoids were enriched in M.polymorpha.These results imply that the decreased lignin content but relatively high nutrient content of M.polymorpha enhance its edibility and nutritional value as a forage and vegetable.Our genomic data provide a genetic basis that will accelerate functional genomic and breeding research on M.polymorpha as well as other Medicago and legume plants.Jiawen Cui Zhaogeng Lu Tianyi Wang Gang Chen Salma Mostafa Hailong Ren Sian Liu Chunxiang Fu Li Wang Yingfang Zhu Jinkai Lu Xiang Chen Zhenwu Wei Biao Jin 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:6
9Crystal structure of the ubiquitin-like domain of human TBK1显示文摘TANK-binding kinase 1(TBK1)is an important enzyme in the regulation of cellular antiviral effects.TBK1 regulates the activity of the interferon regulatory factors IRF3 and IRF7,thereby playing a key role in type I interferon(IFN)signaling pathways.The structure of TBK1 consists of an N-terminal kinase domain,a middle ubiquitin-like domain(ULD),and a C-terminal elongated helical domain.It has been reported that the ULD of TBK1 regulates kinase activity,playing an important role in signaling and mediating interactions with other molecules in the IFN pathway.In this study,we present the crystal structure of the ULD of human TBK1 and identify several con-served residues by multiple sequence alignment.We found that a hydrophobic patch in TBK1,containing residues Leu316,Ile353,and Val382,corresponding to the“Ile44 hydrophobic patch”observed in ubiquitin,was conserved in TBK1,IκB kinase epsilon(IKKε/IKKi),IκB kinase alpha(IKKα),and IκB kinase beta(IKKβ).In com-parison with the structure of the IKKβULD domain of Xenopus laevis,we speculate that the Ile44 hydrophobic patch of TBK1 is present in an intramolecular binding surface between ULD and the C-terminal elongated heli-ces.The varying surface charge distributions in the ULD domains of IKK and IKK-related kinases may be relevant to their specificity for specific partners.Jian Li Jun Li Andrea Miyahira Jian Sun Yingfang Liu Genhong Cheng Huanhuan Liang 2012Protein & Cell2012,3,5:5

12Cryo-self-assembled silk fibroin sponge as a biodegradable platform for enzyme-responsive delivery of exosomes显示文摘Although advances in protein assembly preparation have provided a new platform for drug delivery during tissue engineering,achieving long-term controlled exosome delivery remains a significant challenge.Diffusion-dominated exosome release using protein hydrogels results in burst release of exosomes.Here,a fibroin-based cryo-sponge was developed to provide controlled exosome release.Fibroin chains can self-assemble into silk I structures under ice-cold conditions when annealed above the glass transition temperature.Exosome release is enzyme-responsive,with rates primarily determined by enzymatic degradation of the scaffolds.In vivo experiments have demonstrated that exosomes remain in undigested sponge material for two months,superior to their retention in fibrin glue,a commonly used biomaterial in clinical practice.Fibroin cryo-sponges were implanted subcutaneously in nude mice.The exosome-containing sponge group exhibited better neovascularization and tissue ingrowth effects,demonstrating the efficacy of this exosome-encapsulating strategy by realizing sustained release and maintaining exosome bioactivity.These silk fibroin cryo-sponges containing exosomes provide a new platform for future studies of exosome therapy.Muyang Sun Qi Li Huilei Yu Jin Cheng Nier Wu Weili Shi Fengyuan Zhao Zhenxing Shao Qingyang Meng Haifeng Chen Xiaoqing Hu Yingfang Ao 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,2:4

15The LRXs-RALFs-FER module controls plant growth and salt stress responses by modulating multiple plant hormones显示文摘Salt stress is a major environmental factor limiting plant growth and productivity.We recently discovered an important new salt tolerance pathway,where the cell wall leucine-rich repeat extensins LRX3/4/5,the RAPID ALKALINIZATION FACTOR(RALF)peptides RALF22/23 and receptor-like kinase FERONIA(FER)function as a module to simultaneously regulate plant growth and salt stress tolerance.However,the intracellular signaling pathways that are regulated by the extracellular LRX3/4/5-RALF22/23-FER module to coordinate growth,cell wall integrity and salt stress responses are still unknown.Here,we report that the LRX3/4/5-RALF22/23-FER module negatively regulates the levels of jasmonic acid(JA),salicylic acid(SA)and abscisic acid(ABA).Blocking JA pathway rescues the dwarf phenotype of the lrx345 and fer-4mutants,while disruption of ABA biosynthesis suppresses the salt-hypersensitivity of these mutants.Many salt stress-responsive genes display abnormal expression patterns in the lrx345 and fer-4 mutants,as well as in the wild type plants treated with epigallocatechin gallate(EGCG),an inhibitor of pectin methylesterases,suggesting cell wall integrity as a critical factor that determines the expression pattern of stress-responsive genes.Production of reactive oxygen species(ROS)is constitutively increased in the lrx345 and fer-4mutants,and inhibition of ROS accumulation suppresses the salt-hypersensitivity of these mutants.Together,our work provides strong evidence that the LRX3/4/5-RALF22/23-FER module controls plant growth and salt stress responses by regulating hormonal homeostasis and ROS accumulation.Chunzhao Zhao Wei Jiang Omar Zayed Xin Liu Kai Tang Wenfeng Nie Yali Li Shaojun Xie Yuan Li Tiandan Long Linlin Liu Yingfang Zhu Yang Zhao Jian-Kang Zhu 2021National Science Review2021,8,1:3
16The epigallocatechin gallate derivative Y_6 reverses drug resistance mediated by the ABCB1 transporter both in vitro and in vivo显示文摘Previously, we reported that Y_6, a new epigallocatechin gallate derivative, is efficacious in reversing doxorubicin(DOX)–mediated resistance in hepatocellular carcinoma BEL-7404/DOX cells. In this study, we evaluated the efficacy of Y_6 in reversing drug resistance both in vitro and in vivo by determining its effect on the adenosine triphosphate-binding cassette protein B1 transporter(ABCB1 or P-glycoprotein, P-gp). Our results showed that Y_6 significantly sensitized cells overexpressing the ABCB1 transporter to anticancer drugs that are ABCB1 substrates. Y_6 significantly stimulated the adenosine triphosphatase activity of ABCB1. Furthermore, Y_6 exhibited a higher docking score as compared with epigallocatechin gallate inside the transmembrane domain of ABCB1. In addition, in the nude mousetumor xenograft model, Y_6(110 mg/kg, intragastric administration), in combination with doxorubicin(2 mg/kg, intraperitoneal injection), significantly inhibited the growth of BEL-7404/DOX cell xenograft tumors, compared to equivalent epigallocatechin gallate. 17Extraterrestrial artificial photosynthetic materials for in-situ resource utilization显示文摘Aerospace milestones in human history,including returning to the moon and manned Martian missions,have been implemented in recent years.Space exploration has become one of the global common goals,and to ensure the survival and development of human beings in the extraterrestrial extreme environment has been becoming the basic ability and technology of manned space exploration.For the purpose of fulfilling the goal of extraterrestrial survival,researchers in Nanjing University and the China Academy of Space Technology proposed extraterrestrial artificial photosynthesis(EAP)technology.By simulating the natural photosynthesis of green plants on the Earth,EAP converts CO_(2)/H_(2)O into fuel and O_(2)in an in-situ,accelerated and controllable manner by using waste CO_(2)in the confined space of spacecraft,or abundant CO_(2)resources in extraterrestrial celestial environments,e.g.Mars.Thus,the material loading of manned spacecraft can be greatly reduced to support affordable and sustainable deep space exploration.In this paper,EAP technology is compared with existing methods of converting CO_(2)/H_(2)O into fuel and O_(2)in the aerospace field,especially the Sabatier method and Bosch reduction method.The research progress of possible EAP materials for in-situ utilization of extraterrestrial resources are also discussed in depth.Finally,this review lists the challenges that the EAP process may encounter,which need to be focused on for future implementation and application.We expect to deepen the understanding of artificial photosynthetic materials and technologies,and aim to strongly support the development of manned spaceflight.Liuqing Yang Ce Zhang Xiwen Yu Yingfang Yao Zhaosheng Li Congping Wu Wei Yao Zhigang Zou 2021National Science Review2021,8,8:3

19Surpassing electrocatalytic limit of earth-abundant Fe^(4+)embedded in N-doped graphene for(photo)electrocatalytic water oxidation显示文摘Developing highly active,cost-effective,and environmental friendly oxygen evolution reaction(OER)electrocatalysts facilitates various(photo)electrochemical processes.In this work,Fe3N nanoparticles encapsulated into N-doped graphene nanoshells(Fe_(3)N@NG)as OER electrocatalysts in alkaline media were reported.Both the experimental and theoretical comparison between Fe_(3) N@NG and Fe_(3)N/NG,specifically including in situ Mossbauer analyses,demonstrated that the NG nanoshells improved interfacial electron transfer process from Fe_(3)N to NG to form high-valence Fe^(4+)ions(Fe^(4+)@NG),thus modifying electronic properties of the outer NG shells and subsequently electron transfer from oxygen intermediate to NG nanoshells for OER catalytic process.Meanwhile,the NG nanoshells also protected Fe-based cores from forming OER inactive and insulated Fe_(2)O_(3),leading to high OER stability.As a result,the as-formed Fe^(4+)@NG shows one of the highest electrocatalytic efficiency among reported Fe-based OER electrocatalysts,which can as well highly improve the photoelectrochemical water oxidation when used as the cocatalysts for the Fe_(2)O_(3) nanoarray photoanode.Wenjia Xue Feng Cheng Menglu Li Wenjian Hu Congping Wu Bing Wang Kuowei Liao ZhenTao Yu Yingfang Yao Wenjun Luo Zhigang Zou 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,3:2
20A Retrospective Study of Treatment Efficacy of 65 Children with Ametroic Amblyopia显示文摘Purpose: To investigate relationship between treatment efficacy and the severity of ametropic amblyopia, the type of anisometropia and patient age. Methods:A total of 65 children with ametropic amblyopia undergoing clinical treatment in the ophthalmology department of Shaoguan Hygienic Hospital of Women and Children between June 2005 and November 2011 were enrolled in this study. The treatment efficacy for those subjects with different severities of ametropic amblyopia, types of anisometropia and ages was recorded. Results: The near-recovery/recovery rate, improvement rate and ineffectiveness rate were 70.8%, 16.9% and 12.3%, respectively. The recovery rates in mild-, moderate- and severe amblyopia groups were 97.1%, 61.1% and 8.3% respectively (P<0.05)..The recovery rate for patients with hyperopic-, astigmatic- and myopic anisometropia were 75.8%, 78.3% and 33.3% respectively. The recovery rates did not differ between hyperopic- and astigmatic- anisometropia children(P>0.05), whereas a statistically significant difference was noted between myopic children compared with their hyperopic and myopic-anisometropia counterparts (all P<0.05). The recovery rate for patients aged 3 to 6 years was 86.8% and 48.1% for those aged between 7 and 10 years (P<0.05). Conclusion: The treatment efficacy in ametropic amblyopia is associated with the severity of amblyopia, type of anisometropia and patient's age. Older patients with more severe amblyopia had poorer treatment efficacy.
