| 1 | Effect of Enzyme-assisted Refining on the Properties of Bleached Softwood Pulp显示文摘Enzymatic pretreatment of pulp is demonstrated to be potentially effective for decreasing the energy consumption in the refining process.Herein,a neutral cellulase was utilized for the pretreatment of bleached softwood pulp in order to improve the refining performance.Cellulase pretreatment effectively improved the drainability of the pulp and could thus reduce the energy consumption in the refining process.The beating degree of the pulp was significantly improved at 6000 PFI revolutions,at which a maximum increase of 70% could be obtained.The water retention value(WRV) of the pulp increased by 17% after treatment with cellulase at a dosage of 5 IU/g,and the fibers could be easily torn apart after enzymatic treatment.To achieve the same beating degree,the refining time could be shortened by 80% when the pulp was treated with cellulase.Using a low dosage of cellulase,the freeness of the pulp increased rapidly without deterioration of the mechanical properties. | YangYang Peng Hao Liu ShiYu Fu XinLiang Li | 2018 | Paper And Biomaterials2018,3,3: | 4 |
| 2 | Mineral phase and structure changes during roasting of fine-grained carbonaceous gold ores and their effects on gold leaching efficiency显示文摘While roasting has been widely applied to reduce the negative effect of carbonaceous matters on gold extraction from fine-grained carbonaceous gold ores, the phase and structure changes of minerals during roasting and their in fluences on the leachi ng rate of gold have not been fully understood. This limits the extraction of carbonaceous gold deposits. The current work examines the oxidation process of a fine-grained carbonaceous gold ore during roasting using a range of techniques including X-ray diffraction (XRD), seanning electron microscopy (SEM), Energy Dispersive Spectrometer (EDS) analysis and pore structure analysis together with gold leaching tests. The results show that during the process of oxidative roasting, the carbonaceous matters (organic carbon and graphitic carbon) and pyrite were completely decomposed at 600 ℃ with the carbonaceous components burned and pyrite oxidized into hematite. At 650 ℃, while dolomite was decomposed into calcia, magnesia, calcium sulfate etc., the calcine structure became loose and porous, leading to a high gold leaching rate from the roasted product. Above 750 ℃, the porous calcite structure started to collapse along with the agglomeration, leading to the secondary encapsulation of gold particles, which contributed to the sharp drop in the gold leaching rate of the roasted product. | 3 | Effect of Acetic Acid Prehydrolysis on Unbleached Bamboo Pulp Production显示文摘Bamboo was used as raw material for unbleached pulp production.An acetic acid prehydrolysis process was employed before the pulping process.The effect of acetic acid prehydrolysis on pulp properties was investigated.The results showed that some components,such as hemicellulose and extractives,were degraded or dissolved in the prehydrolysis process prior to kraft pulping.SEM images of the substrate after treatment indicated that the parenchyma cell wall was thinner,and the size of pores between fiber bundle cell walls was larger.The pulping results showed that acetic acid prehydrolysis could improve the pulp quality and make the pulp easier to bleach.The brightness of the pulp reached 59.6%ISO with a single oxygen delignification step.The acetic acid prehydrolysis decreased pulp viscosity and fiber length,but not significantly.The amount of parenchyma cells in the pulp was reduced,which was beneficial for papermaking and improving mechanical strength of paper.This procedure has good potential for unbleached pulp production. | YangYang Peng ChenYin Chen Ying Wang ShiYu Fu | 2018 | Paper And Biomaterials2018,3,3: | 3 |
| 4 | PM_(2.5)and water-soluble inorganic ion concentrations decreased faster in urban than rural areas in China显示文摘We investigated variations of PM_(2.5)and water-soluble inorganic ions chemical characteristics at nine urban and rural sites in China using ground-based observations.From 2015 to 2019,mean PM_(2.5)concentration across all sites decreased by 41.9μg/m~3with a decline of 46%at urban sites and 28%at rural sites,where secondary inorganic aerosol(SIAs)contributed to 21%(urban sites)and 17%(rural sites)of the decreased PM_(2.5).SIAs concentrations underwent a decline at urban locations,while sulfate(SO_(4)^(2–)),nitrate(NO_(3)^(–)),and ammonium(NH_(4)^(+))decreased by 49.5%,31.3%and 31.6%,respectively.However,only SO_(4)^(2–)decreased at rural sites,NO_(3)^(–)increased by 21%and NH_(4)^(+)decreased slightly.Those changes contributed to an overall SIAs increase in 2019.Higher molar ratios of NO_(3)^(–)to SO_(4)^(2–)and NH_(4)^(+)to SO_(4)^(2–)were observed at urban sites than rural sites,being highest in the heavily polluted days.Mean molar ratios of NH_(3)/NH_xwere higher in 2019 than 2015 at both urban and rural sites,implying increasing NH_xremained as free NH_(3).Our observations indicated a slower transition from sulfate-driven to nitrate-driven aerosol pollution and less efficient control of NO_(x)than SO_(2)related aerosol formation in rural regions than urban regions.Moreover,the common factor at urban and rural sites appears to be a combination of lower SO_(4)^(2–)levels and an increasing fraction of NO_(3)^(–)to PM_(2.5)under NH_(4)^(+)-rich conditions.Our findings imply that synchronous reduction in NO_(x)and NH_(3)emissions especially rural areas would be effective to mitigate NO_(3)^(–)-driven aerosol pollution. | Yangyang Zhang Aohan Tang Chen Wang Xin Ma Yunzhe Li Wen Xu Xiaoping Xia Aihua Zheng Wenqing Li Zengguo Fang Xiufen Zhao Xianlong Peng Yuping Zhang Jian Han Lijuan Zhang Jeffrey L.Collett Jr Xuejun Liu | 2022 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,12: | 2 |
| 5 | Enhanced oxygen reduction reaction performance of Co@N–C derived from metal-organic frameworks ZIF-67 via a continuous microchannel reactor显示文摘Traditional methods of preparing metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)compounds have the disadvantages such as poor dispersion,inefficient and discontinuous process.In this work,microchannel reactor is used to prepare MOFs-derived zeolite-imidazole material via flash nanoprecipitation to form ZIF-67+PEI(FNP),which reduces the MOF synthesis time down to millisecond time interval while keeping the synthesized ZIF-67+PEI(FNP)highly dispersed.The Co@N–C(FNP)catalyst obtained by flash nanoprecipitation and carbonization has a higher Co content and thus more active sites for oxygen reduction reaction than the Co@N–C(DM)catalyst prepared by direct mixing method.Electrochemical tests show that the Co@N–C(FNP)catalyst prepared by this method has excellent oxygen reduction performance,good methanol resistance and high stability.The onset potential and half-wave potential of Co@N–C(FNP)are 0.92 VRHE and 0.83 VRHE,respectively,which are higher than that of Co@N–C(DM)(Eonset=0.90 VRHEand E1/2=0.83VRHE).Moreover,the Zn-air battery assembled with Co@N–C(FNP)as the cathode catalyst has high open circuit voltage,high power density and large specific capacity.The performance of these batteries has been comparable to that of Pt/C assembled batteries.Density functional theory(DFT)calculations confirm that the Co(220)crystal plane present in Co@N–C(FNP)have stronger adsorption energy than that of Co(111)crystal plane in Co@N–C(DM),leading to better electrocatalytic performance of the former. | Chenxu Wang Huifang Yuan Feng Yu Jie Zhang Yangyang Li Wentao Bao Zhimou Wang Ke Lu Jie Yu Ge Bai Gang Wang Banghua Peng Lili Zhang | 2023 | Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,1: | 2 |

| 12 | Identification,expression analysis,and functional characterization of ghrelin and its receptors in spotted sea bass(Lateolabrax maculatus)显示文摘Ghrelin(Ghrl),an appetite-inducing peptide hormone secreted by the stomach,is the endogenous ligand for the growth hormone secretagogue receptor(Ghs-r).In this study,we identified the preproghrelin gene and its receptors in spotted sea bass(Lateolabrax maculatus).The ghrl gene consisted of an open reading frame(ORF)of 324 nucleotides encoding 107 amino acids,and the premature protein contained a 20-amino-acid mature peptide.Through a syntenic analysis,we also validated the annotation of growth hormone secretagogue receptor la(ghs-rla)and growth hormone secretagogue receptor la-1ike(ghs-rla-like),which contained seven-transmembrane structures,in spotted sea bass.The ORF of ghs-rla consisted of 1152 bp that encoded a 383-amino-acid protein,and(ghs-rla-like) contained an ORF of 2631 bp and produced a protein with 876 amino acids.A phylogenetic analysis showed that spotted sea bass ghrl and its receptors clustered with those of other fishes and were more distantly related to those of other vertebrates.In situ hybridization revealed that ghrl was highly expressed in the stomach and localized in the mucosa and submucosa.The expression of these genes varied during short-term starvation in a time-dependent manner.In vitro studies showed that after incubation with Ghrl for 3 h enhanced the expression of motilin(mln),gastrin(gas)and cholecystokinin(cck)、but this effect vanished after 6 h of incubation.In summary,Ghrl and its receptors might play important roles in the regulation of food intake in spotted sea bass. | Peng Yu Yangyang Zhou Xin Qi Hongying Fan Kaiqiang Zhang Xiaoyan Zhang Yun Li Haishen Wen | 2020 | Marine Life Science & Technology2020,2,4: | 1 |

| 14 | Biological traits and life history of Pagiophloeus tsushimanus(Coleoptera:Curculionidae),a weevil pest on camphor trees in China显示文摘Cinnamomum camphora(L.)J.Presl.(Laurales:Lauraceae)is widely cultivated as an important landscape tree species in many urban areas in South China,especially in Shanghai City.Pagiophloeus tsushimanus Morimoto has become a destructive insect pest of C.camphora plantations in Shanghai,but the biological and ecological traits of this pest remain largely unknown.In this study,we investigated the damage and life history and determined the larval instar of P.tsushimanus.The results indicated that P.tsushimanus is a monophagous weevil pest,and C.camphora is the unique host tree species.C.camphora plantations in all administrative districts of Shanghai have been seriously damaged by P.tsushimanus.Adults often aggregate for feeding on the tender bark of twigs and occasionally on newly emerged buds.After experiencing damage,the twigs shrink and crack and the buds will shrink.Adults tend to repeatedly mate and oviposit,and all females lay single eggs at a time.Eggs will be covered with a mixture of secretions and wood chips by female adults.Larvae(1 st-2 nd instar)feed on the phloem,while 3 rd-5 th instar can bore into the phloem and the cambium.Massive tunnels,including three shapes(inverted'L',inverted'T',and inverted'Z'),were observed in the trunk of each tree,and resulted in swelling of the outer bark.P.tsushimanus has one life cycle per year in Shanghai.Both adults and larvae(3 rd-5 th instar)overwinter from early November to early April.Adults overwinter in grooves on the underside of branches or at branch nodes,and larvae overwinter in tunnels.Five larval instars of P.tsushimanus were determined according to Dyar’s and Crosby’s rules.The biological traits and life history of P.tsushimanus have been identified and can provide guidance in terms of pest control and plantation management. | Cong Chen Congcong Zhang Shouyin Li Han Zhu Binqi Fan Yan Wang Peng Su Yangyang Han Dejun Hao | 2021 | Journal of Forestry Research2021,32,5: | 0 |

| 17 | Use of 1.32-μm and 1.06-μm wavelength lasers for vascular cutting in a porcine model of liver and stomach bleeding显示文摘Objective The aim of this study was to analyze and evaluate 1.32-μm and 1.06-μm neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet(Nd:YAG) lasers for use in liver and gastroepiploic vessel vaporization and coagulation. Methods The effects of 1.32-μm and 1.06-μm Nd:YAG lasers were compared for gastroepiploic vessel hemostasis in porcine liver.Results The results were observed and measured under the same parameters and dose conditions. The 1.32-μm laser showed greater vaporization width and depth than the 1.06-μm laser. Both lasers controlled active bleeding. The coagulation band with the 1.32-μm laser was thinner than with the 1.06-μm laser, at nearly 3 mm. After cutting of 1-and 2-mm porcine vessels, no grossly visible bleeding was apparent. Intravascular thrombus was visible under the microscope. The length of vessel thrombosis in the experimental group was 2 mm and the diameter was 2 mm; the control group exhibited thrombi as 2.3–4.9 mm in length.
