1Effects of thermal activation conditions on the microstructure regulation of corncob-derived activated carbon for hydrogen storage显示文摘Activated carbons derived from corncob(CACs) were prepared by pyrolysis carbonization and KOH activation. Through modifying activation conditions, samples with large pore volume and ultrahigh BET specific surface area could be obtained. The sample achieved the highest hydrogen uptake capacity of 5.80 wt% at 40 bar and-196?C. The as-obtained samples were characterized by N2-sorption, transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM). Besides, thermogravimetric analysis was also employed to investigate the activation behavior of CACs. Detailed investigation on the activation parameters reveals that moderate activation temperature and heating rate are favorable for preparing CACs with high surface area, large pore volume and optimal pore size distribution. Meanwhile, the micropore volume between 0.65 nm and 0.85 nm along with BET surface area and total pore volume has great effects on hydrogen uptake capacities. 2Terrestrial input and nutrient change reflected by sediment records of the Changjiang River Estuary in recent 80 years显示文摘A variety of environmental problems have been observed in the Changjiang River Estuary and adjacent coastal area, including eutrophication, harmful algal blooms(HABs), and hypoxia in recent decades. Application of sedimentary biogenic element indicators on the study of paleoenvironment can reconstruct environmental evolution history of waters. Two 210Pb-dated cores were collected from the Changjiang River Estuary(S3) and adjacent coastal area(Z13), and total organic carbon(TOC), total nitrogen(TN), biogenic silicon(BSi), total phosphorus(TP) and phosphorus(P) species were analyzed. Three stages of environmental changes are deduced by the nutrient sedimentary records. First, nutrient concentration increased rapidly since the 1950 s, which attributed to agriculture development and overused chemical fertilizers. Second, nutrient concentration kept high and primary production began to promote during the 1960 s to 1980 s, while diatom abundance and proportion began to decline since the 1970 s, accompanied by reduced 23 Si O- concentration and flux from the river. Third, due to several dams and bridges constructed, river runoff and coastal hydrodynamic conditions reduced to a certain extent since the 1990 s, which aggravated the unbalance in nutrient structure. 3Classification of estuaries in China based on eutrophication susceptibility to nutrient load显示文摘Recently, environmental pressures along coasts have increased substantially. Classification of estuaries according to their susceptibility to eutrophication nutrient load is a useful method to determine priority management objects and to enforce control measures. Using historical monitoring data from 2007 to 2012, from 65 estuaries, including 101 estuarine monitoring sections and 260 coastal monitoring stations, a nutrient-driven phytoplankton dynamic model was developed based on the relationship among phytoplankton biomass, Total Nitrogen(TN) load and physical features of estuaries. The ecological filter effect of estuaries was quantified by introducing conversion efficiency parameter values into the model. Markov Chain Monte Carlo algorithm of Bayesian inference was then employed to estimate parameters in the model. The developed model fitted well to the observed chlorophyll, primary production, grazing, and sinking rates. The analysis suggests that an estuary with Q/V(the ratio of river flow to estuarine volume) greater than 2.0 per year and ε(conversion efficiency ratio) less than 1.0 g C/g N can be classified as less susceptible to TN load, Q/V between 0.7 to 2.0 per year and ε between 1.0 to 3.0 g C/g N as moderately susceptible, and ε greater than 3.0 g C/g N as very susceptible. The estuaries with Q/V less than 0.7 per year vary greatly in their susceptibility. The estuaries with high and moderate susceptibility accounted for 67% of all the analyzed estuaries. 4TRIB3-GSK-3β interaction promotes lung fibrosis and serves as a potential therapeutic target显示文摘Pulmonary fibrosis(PF)is a chronic,progressive,fatal interstitial lung disease with limited available therapeutic strategies.We recently reported that the protein kinase glycogen synthase kinase-3β(GSK-3β)interacts with and inactivates the ubiquitin-editing enzyme A20 to suppress the degradation of the transcription factor CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein beta(C/EBPβ)in alveolar macrophages(AMs),resulting in a profibrotic phenotype of AMs and promoting the development of PF.Here,we showed that chronic lung injury upregulated the stress response protein tribbles homolog 3(TRIB3),which interacted with GSK-3βand stabilized GSK-3βfrom ubiquitination and degradation.Elevated GSK-3βexpression phosphorylated A20 to inhibit its ubiquitin-editing activity,causing the accumulation of C/EBPβand the production of several profibrotic factors in AMs and promoting PF development.Activated C/EBPβ,in turn,increased the transcription of TRIB3 and GSK-3β,thereby establishing a positive feedback loop in AMs.The knockdown of TRIB3 expression or the pharmacologic disruption of the TRIB3-GSK-3βinteraction was an effective PF treatment.Our study reveals an intact profibrotic axis of TRIB3-GSK-3β-A20-C/EBPβin AMs,which represents a target that may provide a promising treatment strategy for PF.Shanshan Liu Xiaoxi Lv Xupeng Wei Chang Liu Qiao Li Jiali Min Fang Hua Xiaowei Zhang Ke Li Pingping Li Yang Xiao Zhuowei Hu Bing Cui 2021Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2021,11,10:2
5Surface hydrophobic modification enhanced catalytic performance of electrochemical nitrogen reduction reaction显示文摘Electrocatalytic nitrogen reduction reaction(NRR)is a sustainable approach for NH_(3)production with low energy consumption.However,competing hydrogen reduction reaction(HER)in aqueous solution results in low NH_(3)production and Faraday efficiency(FE).Here,MoS_(2)nanostructures with a hydrophobic surface are synthesized by alkyl thiols modification.Aerophilic and hydrophobic surface facilitates an efficient three-phase contact of N_(2),H_(2)O,and catalyst.Thus,localized concentrated N_(2)molecules can overcome the mass transfer limitation of N2 and depress the HER due to lowering the proton contacts.Although the active-sites decrease with the increase of the alkyl chain since the thiol may cover the active site,the optimized electrocatalyst achieves NH_(3)yield of 12.86×10^(-11)mol·cm^(-2)·s^(-1)at-0.25 V and 22.23%FE,which are 4.3 and 24 times higher than those of MoS2-CP electrocatalyst,respectively.The increased catalytic performance is attributed to the high N_(2)adsorption and depressed HER.Lijuan Niu Ziwen Liu Guohua Liu Mengxuan Li Xupeng Zong Dandan Wang Li An Dan Qu Xiaoming Sun Xiayan Wang Zaicheng Sun 2022Nano Research2022,15,5:2
6Study on the Carry Capacity of Edible Jellyfish Fishery in Liaodong Bay显示文摘Jellyfish fishing is a special type of fishery that mainly exists in some countries of East and Southeast Asia. China has the largest jellyfish fishery yield in the world with an annual harvest of around 300 thousand tons. Liaodong Bay is the most important jellyfish fishery ground in China. However, due to the high benefits of jellyfish fishery, which leads to illegal and out-of-season jellyfish fishing occurring each year in Liaodong Bay. Illegal jellyfish fishery in Liaodong Bay is a typical example of the tragedy of the commons. The key problem is that fishermen seek to an illegally initiate jellyfish fishing as early as possible. In this paper, basing on the data of edible jellyfish's biology and ecology, we mainly analyzed the history of jellyfish fishery in China, especially in Liaodong bay, and then we calculated the carry capacity of edible jellyfish in Liaodong Bay which is about 300 thousand tons one year. This number is equal to the recent annual yield of edible jellyfish in China. Furthermore, basing on the carry capacity and reasonable quotas price analysis, we set up a Jellyfish fishing quotas and deficit quotas buyback system which could be a suitable and effective solution for jellyfish fishery management and development in Liaodong Bay at the underlying roots. Although China is the first country with edible jellyfish aquaculture, the annual yield of jellyfish aquaculture is only one fifth of jellyfish fishing. 8Design and application of an air-cooled probe for total pressure measurement at combustor outlet显示文摘An air-cooled probe was designed for measurement of total pressure at combustor outlet;its cooling scheme combined the film cooling and convection cooling.With the aid of CFD technique,cooling effectiveness of the coolant jets at various blow ratios was compared;suitable blow ratios and configuration of film holes were chosen accordingly.The overall cooling performance of the probe was evaluated via CFD technique,the design was improved according to the simulation result,and the cooling effect of the leading edge was obviously strengthened by increasing the local coolant mass flow rate.The results of wind tunnel test indicated that,between Mach numbers 0.2 and 0.4,the probe achieved a high accuracy at various attack angles.The probe was utilized in an annular combustor rig test,the highest temperature reached 1 760 Kand total pressure reaches 1 036 kPa.The result of rig test demonstrates that the coolant film distribution consistent appropriately with the CFD results.LIU Xupeng SUN Qi WANG Xiaoliang XUE Xiusheng YIN Dong 2019航空动力学报2019,34,1:1

11Design and Optimization of Multiple Interconnected Utility Systems in An Integrated Refining and Petrochemical Complex显示文摘In an integrated refining and petrochemical complex,a centralized utility system(CUS)is introduced to integrate the steam demands of production plants.Besides,two sub-utility systems(SUSs)located inside the alkene and refinery plants,respectively,can satisfy the shaft demands.It is difficult to determine the steam production of the CUS because the steam demands of the alkene and refinery plants also depend on the design and operation of the SUSs.To explore the complicated interaction between the CUS and SUSs,we proposed a mixed-integer nonlinear programming(MINLP)model for the design and optimization of multiple interconnected utility systems to minimize the total annualized cost(TAC).An extended superstructure was suggested to contain multiple inter-plant connected steam pipe alternatives between the CUS and SUSs.A more accurate model of the complex steam turbine was proposed.Then the proposed MINLP framework is applied to a new integrated refining and petrochemical complex.Two scenarios are investigated in the case study to explore the effect of steam main temperatures on system configurations and operating parameters.By optimizing the main temperatures,a TAC of$2.7 million can be saved.Judging from the results of the two scenarios,the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed framework for the design and optimization of multiple interconnected utility systems have been demonstrated.Bai Haobo Li Shiyu Wang Xupeng Liu Chang 2020China Petroleum Processing & Petrochemical Technology2020,22,4:1

14Influence of White Spot Syndrome Virus Infection on Hepatopancreas Gene Expression of ‘Huanghai No.2' Shrimp(Fenneropenaeus chinensis)显示文摘To elucidate the molecular response of shrimp hepatopancreas to white spot syndrome virus(WSSV) infection, microarray was applied to investigate the differentially expressed genes in the hepatopancreas of ‘Huanghai No. 2'(Fenneropenaeus chinensis). A total of 59137 unigenes were designed onto a custom-made 60 K Agilent chip. After infection, the gene expression profiles in the hepatopancreas of the shrimp with a lower viral load at early(48–96 h), peak(168–192 h) and late(264–288 h) infection phases were analyzed. Of 18704 differentially expressed genes, 6412 were annotated. In total, 5453 differentially expressed genes(1916 annotated) expressed at all three phases, and most of the annotated were either up-or down-regulated continuously. These genes function diversely in, for example, immune response, cytoskeletal system, signal transduction, stress resistance, protein synthesis and processing, metabolism among others. Some of the immune-related genes, including antilipopolysaccharide factor, Kazal-type proteinase inhibitor, C-type lectin and serine protease encoding genes, were up-regulated after WSSV infection. These genes have been reported to be involved in the anti-WSSV responses. The expression of genes related to the cytoskeletal system, including β-actin and myosin but without tubulin genes, were down-regulated after WSSV infection. Astakine was found for the first time in the WSSV-infected F. chinensis. To further confirm the expression of differentially expressed genes, quantitative real-time PCR was performed to test the expression of eight randomly selected genes and verified the reliability and accuracy of the microarray expression analysis. 15Modification of alternative splicing in bovine somatic cell nuclear transfer embryos using engineered CRISPR-Cas13d显示文摘Animal cloning can be achieved by somatic cell nuclear transfer(SCNT),but the resulting live birth rate is relatively low.We previously improved the efficiency of bovine SCNT by exogenous melatonin treatment or by overexpression of lysine-specific demethylase 4D(KDM4D)and 4E(KDM4E).In this study,we revealed abundant alternative splicing(AS)transitions during fertilization and embryonic genome activation,and demonstrated abnormal AS in bovine SCNT embryos compared with in vitro fertilized embryos.We used the CRISPR-Cas13d RNA-targeting system to target cis-elements of ABI2 and ZNF106 pre-m RNA to modify AS,thus reducing the ratio of abnormal-isoform SCNT embryos by nearly 50%and achieving a high survival rate(11%–19%).These results indicate that this system may provide an efficient method for bovine cloning,while also paving the way for further improvements in the efficiency of SCNT.Rui Cheng Xiaoman Zheng Yingmei Wang Xing Ma Xin Liu Wenjun Xu Mengyun Wang Yuanpeng Gao Xupeng Xing Chuan Zhou Hongzheng Sun Zekun Guo Fusheng Quan Jun Liu Song Hua Yongsheng Wang Yong Zhang Xu Liu 2022Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,11:1
16Type I photosensitizer based on AIE chromophore tricyano-methylene-pyridine for photodynamic therapy显示文摘Image guided photodynamic therapy(PDT)combines fluorescence tracing and phototherapy,which can achieve a more accurate and effective treatment effect.However,traditional photosensitizers are limited by the aggregation-caused fluorescence quenching(ACQ)effect and low reactive oxygen species(ROS)generation in a hypoxic environment,resulting in poor imaging and treatment effect.Herein,we report a tricyano-methylene-pyridine(TCM)-based Type I aggregation-induced emission(AIE)photosensitizer(TCM-MBP),the strong elec-tron acceptance(D-A)effect extends the wavelength to near-infrared(NIR)region to reduce the autofluorescence interference,and oxygen atoms provide lone pair electrons to enhance the inter system crossing(ISC)rate,thereby promoting the generation of more triplet states to produce ROS.The AIE photosensitizer TCM-MBP exhibited low oxygen dependence,NIR emission,and higher ROS production compared to commercially avail-able Ce_(6) and RB.After encapsulation with DSPE-PEG 2000,TCM-MBP nanoparticles(TCM-MBP NPs)could penetrate to visualize cells and efficiently kill cancer cells upon light irradiation.This study provides an oxygen-independent AIE photosensitizer,which has great potential to replace the commercial ACQ photosensitizers.Chao Pan Weijun Zhao Xiaolei Zhao Zhenxing Liu Xiangyu Li Yanting Lyu Xupeng Wu Zhirong Zhu Wei-Hong Zhu Qi Wang 2023Green Chemical Engineering2023,4,3:0
17A Novel Material for Selective Separation of Mono-galactosyldiacylglycerols from Microalgae显示文摘Monogalactosyldiacylglycerols(MGDGs)have potential applications in food products,cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.MGDGs from microalgae with high amounts of polyunsaturated fatty acids(PUFAs)have potential functions,which arise the interest of the researchers.MGDGs were prepared by silica gel column chromatography with the appropriate mobile phase,while due to the similarity to molecular structure of MGDGs,digalactosyldiacylglycerols(DGDGs)were the most difficult impurities to separate during the extraction process of MGDGs from Nannochloropsis oceanica IMET1 and Arthrospira platensis.In order to obtain MGDGs from microalgae using low toxic solvent system,a novel material Click thiol-ene cysteine(Click TE-Cys)was employed to achieve its selective separation by differentiation of the hydrophilic interaction.The mixture of MGDGs and DGDGs standards were separated from each other by Click TE-Cys solid phase extraction(SPE),which was further confirmed by the result of LC-MS.The molecular interaction of MGDGs and DGDGs with Click TE-Cys demonstrated that DGDGs had more hydrogen bonds with Click TE-Cys material,which might cause a higher hydrophilic interaction.In this study,the Click TE-Cys material exhibited higher hydrophilicity with DGDGs and effectively separated MGDGs from 4 species microalgae by‘flow-through'mode using ethanol as mobile phase.JIANG Junpeng YANG Miao CAO Xupeng WAN Huihui LIU Shuqin ZHONG Shijun YAN Jingyu XUE Song 2021Journal of Ocean University of China2021,20,1:0

19Positive Effects of Isopropanol as a Co-Precipitant in Glycerol-3-Phosphate Acyltransferase Crystallization显示文摘Glycerol-3-phosphate acyltransferase(GPAT) is considered as the rate-limiting enzyme of glycerolipid synthesis pathway and the core element in lysophosphatidic acid(LPA) synthesis. For understanding its catalytic mechanism, the structural biology study is expected, but is always hindered by obtaining crystals for X-ray diffraction analysis. In this study, a progressive strategy to optimize the crystal of microalgae plastidial GPAT was presented. After the expression and purification of GPAT, the crystals were screened by hanging-drop and only clusters were obtained. The crystals were optimized by adjusting temperature, pH, protein concentration, or precipitant, but little improvement. To improve the interaction between protein and precipitant, the isopropanol was applied as co-precipitant. The qualified crystals formed. It's suggested that isopropanol is critical to affect protein crystallization by altering polyethylene glycol(PEG)-water-protein interaction when PEG serves as precipitant. The resulting crystal diffracted to a resolution of 2.75 ? and belonged to space group P1, with unit-cell parameters a = 50.79, b = 80.09, c = 88.21 ?, and α = 62.85, β = 73.04, γ = 80.53?.
