2Stable Lithium-Carbon Composite Enabled by Dual-Salt Additives显示文摘Lithium metal is regarded as the ultimate negative electrode material for secondary batteries due to its high energy density.However,it suffers from poor cycling stability because of its high reactivity with liquid electrolytes.Therefore,continuous efforts have been put into improving the cycling Coulombic efficiency(CE)to extend the lifespan of the lithium metal negative electrode.Herein,we report that using dual-salt additives of LiPF_(6) and LiNO_(3) in an ether solvent-based electrolyte can significantly improve the cycling stability and rate capability of a Li-carbon(Li-CNT)composite.As a result,an average cycling CE as high as 99.30% was obtained for the Li-CNT at a current density of 2.5 mA cm^(-2) and an negative electrode to positive electrode capacity(N/P)ratio of 2.The cycling stability and rate capability enhancement of the Li-CNT negative electrode could be attributed to the formation of a better solid electrolyte interphase layer that contains both inorganic components and organic polyether.The former component mainly originates from the decomposition of the LiNO_(3) additive,while the latter comes from the LiPF_(6)-induced ring-opening polymerization of the ether solvent.This novel surface chemistry significantly improves the CE of Li negative electrode,revealing its importance for the practical application of lithium metal batteries.Lei Zheng Feng Guo Tuo Kang Yingzhu Fan Wei Gu Yayun Mao Ya Liu Rong Huang Zhiyun Li Yanbin Shen Wei Lu Liwei Chen 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,7:3
3A polyimide cathode with superior stability and rate capability for lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Organic-based electrode materials for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) are promising due to their high theoretical capacity,structure versatility and environmental benignity.However,the poor intrinsic electric conductivity of most polymers results in slow reaction kinetics and hinders their application as electrode materials for LIBs.A binder-free self-supporting organic electrode with excellent redox kinetics is herein demonstrated via in situ polymerization of a uniform thin polyimide (PI) layer on a porous and highly conductive carbonized nanofiber (CNF) framework.The PI active material in the porous PI@CNF film has large physical contact area with both the CNF and the electrolyte thus obtains superior electronic and ionic conduction.As a result,the PI@CNF cathode exhibits a discharge capacity of 170 mAh·g^-1 at 1 C (175 mA·g^-1),remarkable rate-performance (70.5% of 0.5 C capacity can be obtained at a 100 C discharge rate),and superior cycling stability with 81.3% capacity retention after 1,000 cycles at 1 C.Last but not least,a four-electron transfer redox process of the PI polymer was realized for the first time thanks to the excellent redox kinetics of the PI@CNF electrode,showing a discharge capacity exceeding 300 mAh·g^-1 at a current of 175 mA·g^-1.Jianghui Zhao Tuo Kang Yanli Chu Peng Chen Feng Jin Yanbin Shen Liwei Chen 2019Nano Research2019,12,6:3

5The nature of irreversible phase transformation propagation in nickel-rich layered cathode for lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Ni-rich layered cathode is regarded as one of the most promising candidates to achieve lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) with high energy density. However, due to the irreversible phase transformation (IPT) and its eventual propagation from surface to the bulk of the material, Ni-rich layered cathode typically suffers from severe capacity fading, structure failure, and thermal instability, which greatly hinders its mass adoption. Hence, achieving an in-depth understanding of the IPT propagation mechanism in Ni-rich layered cathode is crucial in addressing these issues. Herein, the triggering factor of IPT propagation in Ni-rich cathode is verified to be the initial surface disordered cation mixing domain covered by a thin rock-salt phase, instead of the rock-salt phase itself. According to the density functional theory (DFT) results, it is further illustrated that the metastable cation mixing domain possesses a lower Ni migration energy barrier, which facilitates the migration of Ni ions towards the Li slab, and thus driving the propagation of IPT from surface to the bulk of the material. 7Highly stable lithium anode enabled by self-assembled monolayer of dihexadecanoalkyl phosphate显示文摘Li has been considered as the ultimate anode material for high energy density secondary Li batteries.However,its practical application has been limited due to its low Coulombic efficiency(CE)and the formation of lithium dendrites.Recently,we have developed a microspherical Li-carbon nanotube(Li-CNT)composite material passivated with octadecylphosphonic acid(OPA)self-assembled monolayer(SAM)exhibiting suppressed lithium dendrite formation and improved environmental/electrochemical stability.In this work,we demonstrated the significantly enhanced passivation effects of a SAM using dihexadecanoalkyl phosphate(DHP),a molecule that is comprised of double hydrophobic alkyl chains and forms a denser SAM on surfaces with large curvature.As a result,the DHP SAM delivers superior environmental and electrochemical stability to the OPA passivated Li-CNT material.In specific,the DHP passivated Li-CNT composite(DHP-Li-CNT)delivers a high CE of 99.25%under a 33.3%depth of discharge(DOD)at 1 C,when it is paired with a LiFePO4 cathode.The evolution of the SAM during cycling and the effects of DOD and current density on the CE of the DHP-Li-CNT anode have also been investigated.The improved SAM passivation constitutes an important step in achieving the goal of practically applicable Li anodes.Lei Zheng Feng Guo Tuo Kang Jin Yang Ya Liu Wei Gu Yanfei Zhao Hongzhen Lin Yanbin Shen Wei Lu Liwei Chen 2020Nano Research2020,13,5:1
8Numerical Analysis of Energy Effect in Laser-TIG Hybrid Welding显示文摘The hybrid source that combined CO2 laser with TIG arc to proceed welding was analyzed. Based on an energymodel, the temperature field and weld shape were calculated numerically. The heat transfer characteristic of thehybrid heat source to workpiece and its effect to weld shape were also analyzed. Through analyzing the enhancementeffect of the hybrid heat source, the absorption effect and defocusing effect of the hybrid arc to laser were calculated,and the regularity of the energy density to the current was obtained subsequently. 15Fabrication and characterization of AlGaN/GaN HEMTs with high power gain and efficiency at 8 GHz显示文摘State-of-the-art AlGaN/GaN high electron mobility structures were grown on semi-insulating 4H-SiC substrates by MOCVD and X-band microwave power high electron mobility transistors were fabricated and characterized.Hall mobility of 2291.1 cm^(2)/(V·s)and two-dimensional electron gas density of 9.954×10^(12)cm^(-2)were achieved at 300 K.The HEMT devices with a 0.45-μm gate length exhibited maximum drain current density as high as 1039.6 mA/mm and peak extrinsic transconductance of 229.7 mS/mm.The f_(T)of 30.89 GHz and f_(max)of 38.71 GHz were measured on the device.Load-pull measurements were performed and analyzed under(-3.5,28)V,(-3.5,34)V and(-3.5,40)V gate/drain direct current bias in class-AB,respectively.The uncooled device showed high linear power gain of 17.04 dB and high power-added efficiency of 50.56%at 8 GHz when drain biased at(-3.5,28)V.In addition,when drain biased at(-3.5,40)V,the device exhibited a saturation output power dens-ity up to 6.21 W/mm at 8 GHz,with a power gain of 11.94 dB and a power-added efficiency of 39.56%.Furthermore,the low f_(max)/f_(T)ratio and the variation of the power sweep of the device at 8 GHz with drain bias voltage were analyzed.Quan Wang Changxi Chen Wei Li Yanbin Qin Lijuan Jiang Chun Feng Qian Wang Hongling Xiao Xiufang Chen Fengqi Liu Xiaoliang Wang Xiangang Xu Zhanguo Wang 2021Journal of Semiconductors2021,42,12:0
16Positive Effects of Isopropanol as a Co-Precipitant in Glycerol-3-Phosphate Acyltransferase Crystallization显示文摘Glycerol-3-phosphate acyltransferase(GPAT) is considered as the rate-limiting enzyme of glycerolipid synthesis pathway and the core element in lysophosphatidic acid(LPA) synthesis. For understanding its catalytic mechanism, the structural biology study is expected, but is always hindered by obtaining crystals for X-ray diffraction analysis. In this study, a progressive strategy to optimize the crystal of microalgae plastidial GPAT was presented. After the expression and purification of GPAT, the crystals were screened by hanging-drop and only clusters were obtained. The crystals were optimized by adjusting temperature, pH, protein concentration, or precipitant, but little improvement. To improve the interaction between protein and precipitant, the isopropanol was applied as co-precipitant. The qualified crystals formed. It's suggested that isopropanol is critical to affect protein crystallization by altering polyethylene glycol(PEG)-water-protein interaction when PEG serves as precipitant. The resulting crystal diffracted to a resolution of 2.75 ? and belonged to space group P1, with unit-cell parameters a = 50.79, b = 80.09, c = 88.21 ?, and α = 62.85, β = 73.04, γ = 80.53?. 17Unveiling the parasitic-reaction-driven surface reconstruction in Ni-rich cathode and the electrochemical role of Li_(2)CO_(3)显示文摘Nickel-rich transition-metal oxides are widely regarded as promising cathode materials for high-energydensity lithium-ion batteries for emerging electric vehicles. However, achieving high energy density in Ni-rich cathodes is accompanied by substantial safety and cycle-life obstacles. The major issues of Ni-rich cathodes at high working potentials are originated from the unstable cathode-electrolyte interface, while the underlying mechanism of parasitic reactions towards surface reconstructions of cathode materials is not well understood. In this work, we controlled the Li_(2)CO_(3) impurity content on LiNi_(0.83)Mn_(0.1)Co_(0.07)O_(2) cathodes using air, tank-air, and O_(2) synthesis environments. Home-built high-precision leakage current and on-line electrochemical mass spectroscopy experiments verify that Li_(2)CO_(3) impurity is a significant promoter of parasitic reactions on Ni-rich cathodes. The rate of parasitic reactions is strongly correlated to Li_(2)CO_(3) content and severe performance deterioration of Ni83 cathodes.The post-mortem characterizations via high-resolution transition electron microscope and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy depth profiles reveal that parasitic reactions promote more Ni reduction and O deficiency and even rock-salt phase transformation at the surface of cathode materials. Our observation suggests that surface reconstructions have a strong affiliation to parasitic reactions that create chemically acidic environment to etch away the lattice oxygen and offer the electrical charge to reduce the valence state of transition metal. 19Antioxidant induced bulk passivation for efficient and stable hole transport layer-free carbon electrode perovskite solar cells显示文摘Defect passivation is one of the important strategies to improve the efficiency and stability of perovskite solar cells.In this work,2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol(BHT)as antioxidant was introduced into the perovskite precursor solution to improve the quality of the prepared perovskite films,so that these films performed a larger and uniform grain size.Moreover,the-OH functional group in BHT interacts with I-,thus reducing the density of defect states and inhibiting the non-radiative recombination.The presence of hydrophobic groups in BHT protects the film from moisture erosion and improves the long-term stability of PSCs devices.The maximum photoelectric conversion efficiency of the constructed ITO/SnO_(2)/BHTMAPbI_(3)/Carbon device is 16.88%,and the unpackaged cell maintains the initial efficiency of 99.3%after698 h of storage under the environmental condition of 30%humidity.This work provides an efficient approach to improve the performance of printable hole transport layer-free carbon electrode perovskite solar cells.Yetai Cheng Qingbo Wei Nannan Wang Zhangwen Ye Yanbin Zhao Qiongyao Wang Depeng Chu Lingxing Zan Feng Fu Yucheng Liu 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,6:0
