| 1 | Ten cities cross-sectional questionnaire survey of children asthma and other allergies in China显示文摘Asthma,rhinitis and eczema(allergic or non-allergic)have increased throughout the world during the last decades,especially among children.Changes in the indoor environment are suspected to be important causes.China has experienced a dramatic change in indoor environmental exposures during the past two decades.However,such changes and their associations with children’s asthma and other health aspects have not been thoroughly studied.China,Children,Homes,Health(CCHH),Phase I,was a cross-sectional questionnaire survey of 48219 children 1–8 years old in 10 Chinese cities during 2010–2012.The questionnaire includes the International Study of Asthma and Allergies in Childhood(ISAAC)core health questions and additional questions regarding housing,life habits and outdoor environment.In health analyses,children aged 3–6 years old were included.The prevalences of doctor diagnosed asthma varied from 1.7%to 9.8%(mean 6.8%),a large increase from 0.91%in 1999 and 1.50%in2000.The prevalence of wheeze,rhinitis and atopic eczema(last 12 months)varied from 13.9%to 23.7%,24.0%to 50.8%and4.8%to 15.8%,respectively.Taiyuan had the lowest prevalences of all illnesses and Shanghai the highest,except for wheezewhere the highest value was for Urumqi.We found(1)no obvious association between disease prevalences and ambient PM10concentrations and(2)higher prevalences of disease in humid climates with hot summers and cold winters,but with no centrally heated buildings.Associations between the diseases and economic status as indexed by Gross Domestic Product(GDP)requires further study. | ZHANG YinPing LI BaiZhan HUANG Chen YANG Xu QIAN Hua DENG QiHong ZHAO ZhuoHui LI AnGui ZHAO JiaNing ZHANG Xin QU Fang HU Yu YANG Qin WANG Juan ZHANG Ming WANG Fang ZHENG XiaoHong LU Chan LIU ZhiJian SUN YueXia MO JinHan ZHAO YiLi LIU Wei WANG TingTing NORBCK Dan BORNEHAG Carl-Gustaf SUNDELL Jan | 2013 | Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,34: | 22 |

| 5 | Enhancing photocatalytic performance by constructing ultrafine TiO2 nanorods/g-C3N4 nanosheets heterojunction for water treatment显示文摘Photocatalysis is considered to be a clean, green and efficient method to purify water. In this report, we first developed a highly efficient ultrafine TiO_2 nanorods/g-C3 N4 nanosheets(TiO_2 NR/CN NS) composites via a simple hydrothermal method. Tiny TiO_2 nanorods(diameter:~1.5 nm and length:~8.3 nm) were first loaded in situ on the CN NS by adding graphitic carbon nitride(g-C3 N4) to the reaction solution.The TiO_2 NR/CN NS composites present high charge separation efficiency and broader light absorbance than P25 TiO_2. Furthermore, we illustrate that the Ti0_2 NR/CN NS catalyst possesses high performance for the photocatalytic degradation of the common and stubborn pollutants in water, such as the rhodamine B(RhB) dye and phenol. Under visible light(λ> 420 nm) irradiation, the apparent rate of the TiO_2 NR/CN NR is 172 and 41 times higher than that of the P25 TiO_2 and TiO_2 NR, respectively.Additionally, we speculated that the heterojunction formed between TiO_2 NR and CN NS, which is the basis for the experiments we have designed and the corresponding results. | 7 | Tailoring color emissions from N-doped graphene quantum dots for bioimaging applications显示文摘Unlike inorganic quantum dots,fluorescent graphene quantum dots(GQDs)display excitation-dependent multiple color emission.In this study,we report N-doped GQDs(N-GQDs)with tailored single color emission by tuning p-conjugation degree,which is comparable to the inorganic quantum dot.Starting from citric acid and diethylenetriamine,as prepared N-GQDs display blue,green,and yellow light emission by changing the reaction solvent from water,dimethylformamide(DMF),and solvent free.The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,ultraviolet-visible spectra results clearly show the N-GQDs with blue emission(N-GQDs-B)have relatively short effective conjugation length and more carboxyl group because H_(2)O is a polar protic solvent,which tends to donate proton to the reagent to depress the H_(2)O elimination reaction.On the other hand,the polar aprotic solvent(DMF)cannot donate hydrogen,the elimination of H_(2)O is promoted and more nitrogen units enter GQD framework.With the increase of effective p-conjugation length and N content,the emission band of N-GQDS red-shifts to green and yellow.We also demonstrate that N-GQDs could be a potential great biomarker for fluorescent bioimaging. | Dan Qu Min Zheng Jing Li Zhigang Xie Zaicheng Sun | 2015 | Light(Science & Applications)2015,4,1: | 13 |

| 12 | Comparison of extended spectrum β-lactamasesproducing Escherichia coli with non-ESBLsproducing E.coli:drug-resistance and virulence显示文摘BACKGROUND:The virulent factors of Escherichia coli(E.coli) play an important role in the process of pathopoiesis.The study aimed to compare drug-resistant genes and virulence genes between extended spectrum β-lactamases(ESBLs)-producing E.coli and non-ESBLs-producing E.coli to provide a reference for physicians in management of hospital infection.METHODS:From October 2010 to August 2011,96 drug-resistant strains of E.coli isolated were collected from the specimens in Qingdao Municipal Hospital,Qingdao,China.These bacteria strains were divided into a ESBLs-producing group and a non-ESBLs-producing group.Drug sensitivity tests were performed using the Kirby-Bauer(K-B) method.Disinfectant gene,qacEA1-sull and 8 virulence genes(CNF2,hlyA,eaeA,VT1,est,bfpA,elt,and CNF1) were tested by polymerase chain reaction(PCR).RESULTS:Among the 96 E.coli isolates,the ESBLs-producing E.coli comprised 46(47.9%)strains and the non-ESBLs-producing E.coli consisted of 50(52.1%) strains.The detection rates of multiple drug-resistant strain,qacEA1-sull,CNF2,hlyA,eaeA,VT1,est,bfpA,elt,and CNF1 in 46ESBLs-producing E.coli isolates were 89.1%,76.1%,6.5%,69.6%,69.6%,89.1%,10.9%,26.1%,8.7%,and 19.6%,respectively.In the non-ESBLs-producing E.coli strains,the positive rates of multiple drug-resistant strain,qacEA1-sull,CNF2,hlyA,eaeA,VT1,est,bfpA,elt,and CNF1 were 62.0%,80.0%,16.0%,28.0%,64.0%,38.0%,6.0%,34.0%,10.0%,and 24.0%,respectively.The difference in the detection rates of multiple drug-resistant strain,hlyA and VT1 between the ESBLs-producing E.coli strains and the non-ESBLs-producing E.coli strains was statistically significant(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:The positive rate of multiple drug-resistant strains is higher in the ESBLsproducing strains than in the non-ESBLs-producing strains.The expression of some virulence genes hlyA and VT1 varies between the ESBLs-producing strains and the non-ESBLs-producing strains.Increased awareness of clinicians and enhanced testing by laboratories are required to reduce treatment failures and prevent the spread of multiple drug-resistant strains. | Sha Li Yan Qu Dan Hu Yong-xin Shi | 2012 | World Journal of Emergency Medicine2012,3,3: | 7 |

However, the materials selected for use in the repair of peripheral nerve injuries, in particular multiple injuries and largegap defects, must be chosen carefully. Various methods and materials for protecting the healthy tissue and repairing peripheral nerve injuries have been described, and each method or material has advantages and disadvantages. Recently, a large amount of research has been focused on tissue-engineered materials for the repair of peripheral nerve injuries. Using the keywords 'peripheral nerve injury', 'autotransplant', 'nerve graft', and 'biomaterial', we retrieved publications using tissue-engineered materials for the repair of peripheral nerve injuries appearing in the Web of Science from 2010 to 2014. The country with the most total publications was the USA. The institutions that were the most productive in this field include Hannover Medical School(Germany), Washington University(USA), and Nantong University(China). | 17 | Enhanced photocatalytic N2 fixation by promoting N2 adsorption with a co-catalyst显示文摘Photocatalytic N2 fixation involves a nitrogen reduction reaction on the surface of the photocatalyst to convert N2 into ammonia.Currently,the adsorption of N2 is the limiting step for the N2 reduction reaction on the surface of the catalyst.Based on the concept of photocatalytic water splitting,the photocatalytic efficiency can be greatly enhanced by introducing a co-catalyst.In this report,we proposed a new strategy,namely,the loading of a NiS co-catalyst on CdS nanorods for photocatalytic N2 fixation.Theoretical calculation results indicated that N2 was effectively adsorbed onto the NiS/CdS surface.Temperature programmed desorption studies confirmed that the N2 molecules preferred to adsorb onto the NiS/CdS surface.Linear sweep voltammetry results revealed that the overpotential of the N2 reduction reaction was reduced by loading NiS.Furthermore,transient photocurrent and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy indicated that the charge separation was enhanced by introducing NiS.Photocatalytic N2 fixation was carried out in the presence of the catalyst dispersed in water without any sacrificial agent.As a result,1.0 wt% NiS/CdS achieved an ammonia production rate of 2.8 and 1.7 mg L-1 for the first hour under full spectrum and visible light(λ>420 nm),respectively.The catalyst demonstrated apparent quantum efficiencies of 0.76%,0.39% and 0.09% at 420,475 and 520 nm,res pectively.This study provides a new method to promote the photocatalytic efficiency of N2 fixation. | Xiang Gao Li An Dan Qu Wenshuai Jiang Yanxiao Chai Shaorui Sun Xingyuan Liu Zaicheng Sun | 2019 | Science Bulletin2019,64,13: | 6 |
| 18 | Comparison of Histological, Microbiological, and Molecular Methods in Diagnosis of Patients with TBLN Having Different Anti-TB Treatment Background显示文摘Objective The influence of anti-tuberculosis(TB) treatment history on tuberculous lymphadenitis(TBLN) diagnosis is unclear. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the diagnostic methods, including histology, microbiology, and molecular tests, used for TBLN. Methods In this study, suspected patients with TBLN and having different anti-TB treatment background were enrolled. All the samples were tested simultaneously by histology, Ziehl-Neelsen(ZN) staining, mycobacterial culture(culture), Xpert MTB/RIF(xpert), real-time PCR, and high-resolution melting curve PCR(HRM). Thereafter, the performance of these methods on samples with different anti-TB treatment background was assessed. Results In our study, 89 patients were prospectively included 82 patients with TBLN and 7 with other diseases. The overall sensitivities of Xpert, real-time PCR, histology, ZN staining, and culture were 86.6%, 69.5%, 58.5%, 43.9%, and 22.0%, respectively. The anti-TB treatment history revealed dramatic influences on the sensitivity of culture(P < 0.0001). In fact, the treatment that lasted over 3 months also influenced the sensitivity of Xpert(P < 0.05). However, the treatment history did not affect the performance of remaining tests(P > 0.05). For rifampicin drug susceptibility test(DST), the anti-TB treatment showed only significant influence on the success rate of culture DST(P = 0.001), but not on those of Xpert and HRM tests(P > 0.05).
