1Enhanced photocatalytic activity of rGO/TiO2 for the decomposition of formaldehyde under visible light irradiation显示文摘Due to the low concentration of indoor air contaminants,photocatalytic technology shows low efficiency for indoor air purification.The application of TiO_2 for photocatalytic removal of formaldehyde is limited,because TiO_2 can only absorb ultraviolet(UV) light.Immobilization of TiO_2 nanoparticles on the surface of graphene can improve the visible light photocatalytic activity and the adsorption capacity.In this study,rGO(reduced graphene oxide)/TiO_2 was synthesized through a hydrothermal method using titanium tetrabutoxide and graphene oxide as precursors,and was used for the degradation of low concentration formaldehyde in indoor air under visible light illumination.Characterization of the crystalline structure and morphology of rGO/TiO_2 revealed that most GO was reduced to rGO during the hydrothermal treatment,and anatase TiO_2 nanoparticles(with particle size of 15–30 nm) were dispersed well on the surface of the rGO sheets.rGO/TiO_2 exhibited excellent photocatalytic activity for degradation of formaldehyde in indoor air and this can be attributed to the role of rGO,which can act as the electron sink and transporter for separating photo-generated electron–hole pairs through interfacial charge transfer.Furthermore,rGO could adsorb formaldehyde molecules from air to produce a high concentration of formaldehyde on the surface of rGO/TiO_2.Under visible light irradiation for 240 min,the concentration of formaldehyde could be reduced to 58.5 ppbV.rGO/TiO_2 showed excellent moisture-resistance behavior,and after five cycles,r GO/TiO_2 maintained high photocatalytic activity for the removal of formaldehyde(84.6%).This work suggests that the synthesized rGO/TiO_2 is a promising photocatalyst for indoor formaldehyde removal.Lian Yu Long Wang Xibo Sun Daiqi Ye 2018Journal of Environmental Sciences2018,30,11:13
2Changes in Lignin Content and Activity of Related Enzymes in the Endocarp During the Walnut Shell Development Period显示文摘Lignification was observed using the phloroglucinol–HCl method and the content of lignin,cellulose,and polyphenol and the activity of related enzymes were measured during development with the materials of walnut of ‘Zanmei' and ‘Zhenzhuxiang'.Results showed that lignification occurred at the beginning of June,initially took shape in mid-June and finished in late July.From shell lignification to harvest,the concentrations of lignin,cellulose,and phenolic content increased before harvest,but phenolic content decreased slightly.The activities of both POD and PAL decreased and PPO varied somewhat.Correlation analysis showed lignin content to be significantly positively correlated with the cellulose content.Phenolic content had a significant positive correlation with that of lignin.Phenolic content was positively correlated with cellulose.The activity of POD had a significant negative correlation with lignin,cellulose,and phenolic content,but it was positively correlated with the activity of PAL.ZHAO Shugang WEN Jing WANG Hongxia ZHANG Zhihua LI Xibo 2016Horticultural Plant Journal2016,2,3:11

5Understanding the improved performance of sulfur-doped interconnected carbon microspheres for Na-ion storage显示文摘As one of the low-cost energy storage systems,Na-ion batteries(NIBs)have received tremendous attention.However,the performance of current anode materials still cannot meet the requirements of NIBs.In our work,we obtain sulfur-doped interconnected carbon microspheres(S-CSs)via a simple hydrothermal method and subsequent sulfurizing treatment.Our S-CSs exhibit an ultrahigh reversible capacity of 520 mAh g^(-1) at 100 mA g^(-1) after 50 cycles and an excellent rate capability of 257 mAh g^(-1),even at a high current density of 2 A g^(-1).The density functional theory calculations demonstrate that sulfur doping in carbon favors the adsorption of Na atom during the sodiation process,which is accountable for the performance enhancement.Furthermore,we also utilize operando Raman spectroscopy to analyze the electrochemical reaction of our S-CSs,which further highlights the sulfur doping in improving Na-ion storage performance.Xinran Yuan Siming Chen Jinliang Li Junpeng Xie Genghua Yan Botian Liu Xibo Li Rui Li Likun Pan Wenjie Mai 2021Carbon Energy2021,3,4:3

9Mechanical Properties of Sea Water Sea Sand Coral Concrete Modified with Different Cement and Fiber Types显示文摘The mechanical properties of modified sea water sea sand coral concrete(SWSSCC)under axial compression were experimentally studied.Two different parameters were considered in this test:types of cement and fiber.An experimental campaign was developed involving uniaxial compression tests and the use of digital image correlation(DIC)method to analyze the strain distribution and crack propagation of specimen.Test results indicated that the compressive strength and elastic modulus of SWSSCC were improved by adding stainless steel fibers(SSF),while polypropylene fibers(PF)enhanced the SWSSCC peak deformation.It was found that the elastic modulus and strength of SWSSCC using ordinary Portland cement(OPC)were higher compared to specimen with low alkalinity sulphoaluminate cement(LAS).Typical strain distribution changed with the variation of fiber types.The propagation and characteristics of cracks in SWSSCC containing PF were similar to those of cracks in SWSSCC.However,the propagation of cracks and the development of plastic deformation in SWSSCC were effectively hindered by adopting SSF.Finally,an analytical stress-strain expression of specimen considering the influences of fibers was established.The obtained results would provide a basis for the application of SWSSCC.Xibo Qi Yijie Huang Xiaowei Li Zhenhua Hu Jingwei Ying Dayong Li 2020Journal of Renewable Materials2020,8,8:2

15Micro or nano:Evaluation of biosafety and biopotency of magnesium metal organic framework-74 with different particle sizes显示文摘In recent years,various particulate materials have played important roles in medical applications.However,nano-and micron-sized particles of the same material could exhibit distinct properties due to different particle sizes.This finding provided a simple and effective way to improve the biological applications of particulate materials.Therefore,as a highly promising member,the effect of the particle size change of the magnesium metal organic framework-74(Mg-MOF74)was well worth evaluating.Here we firsth assessed the in vitro and in vivo toxicity of micron/nanoscale Mg-MOF74(m-Mg-MOF74/n-Mg-MOF74)in detail.Our in vitro study revealed that compared to micron-sized subjects,n-Mg-MOF74 provided a wider range of safe concentrations.Furthermore,both micron/nanoscale Mg-MOF74 showed good biocompatibility and allowed all the rats under the treatment to survive through the expected experimental periods,with n-Mg-MOF74 still showing lower cardiotoxicity.These advantages of nanoscale Mg-MOF74might benefit from its sustainable and balanced release of Ma^2+both inside and outside the cells.Based on the biosafety evaluation,advanced bio-functional assessments of m/n-Mg-MOF74 including early osteogenesis and angiogenesis were alsoperformed.Similarly,the suitable dose groups of n-Mg-MOF74 achieved optimal early osteogenic promotion and angiogenic stimulation effects.Overall,our combined data delineated the toxicity and biological behaviors of Ma-MOF74 of different scales,and sugqested nanoscale Mg-MOF74 as a better choice for future applications.This result revealed that particle size reductior might be a viable strategy to improve and expand medical applications of MOFs or other particulate materials.Zhou Zhu Shaokang Jiang Yanhua Liu Xiaomeng Gao Shanshan Hu Xin Zhang Chao Huang Qianbing Wan Jian Wang Xibo Pei 2020Nano Research2020,13,2:1
