1Changes in Lignin Content and Activity of Related Enzymes in the Endocarp During the Walnut Shell Development Period显示文摘Lignification was observed using the phloroglucinol–HCl method and the content of lignin,cellulose,and polyphenol and the activity of related enzymes were measured during development with the materials of walnut of ‘Zanmei' and ‘Zhenzhuxiang'.Results showed that lignification occurred at the beginning of June,initially took shape in mid-June and finished in late July.From shell lignification to harvest,the concentrations of lignin,cellulose,and phenolic content increased before harvest,but phenolic content decreased slightly.The activities of both POD and PAL decreased and PPO varied somewhat.Correlation analysis showed lignin content to be significantly positively correlated with the cellulose content.Phenolic content had a significant positive correlation with that of lignin.Phenolic content was positively correlated with cellulose.The activity of POD had a significant negative correlation with lignin,cellulose,and phenolic content,but it was positively correlated with the activity of PAL.ZHAO Shugang WEN Jing WANG Hongxia ZHANG Zhihua LI Xibo 2016Horticultural Plant Journal2016,2,3:11
2Surface Heat Budget and Solar Radiation Allocation at a Melt Pond During Summer in the Central Arctic Ocean显示文摘The heat budget of a melt pond surface and the solar radiation allocation at the melt pond are studied using the 2010 Chinese National Arctic Research Expedition data collected in the central Arctic. Temperature at a melt pond surface is proportional to the air temperature above it. However, the linear relationship between the two varies, depending on whether the air temperature is higher or lower than 0℃. The melt pond surface temperature is strongly influenced by the air temperature when the latter is lower than 0℃. Both net longwave radiation and turbulent heat flux can cause energy loss in a melt pond, but the loss by the latter is larger than that by the former. The turbulent heat flux is more than twice the net longwave radiation when the air temperature is lower than 0℃. More than 50% of the radiation energy entering the pond surface is absorbed by pond water. Very thin ice sheet on the pond surface(black ice) appears when the air temperature is lower than 0℃; on the other hand, only a small percentage(5.5%) of net longwave in the solar radiation is absorbed by such a thin ice sheet.ZHANG Shugang ZHAO Jinping SHI Jiuxin JIAO Yutian 2014Journal of Ocean University of China2014,13,1:5

6Thermodynamic model of melt pond and its application during summer of 2010 in the central Arctic Ocean显示文摘A one-dimensional thermodynamic model of melt pond is established in this paper.The observation data measured in the summer of 2010 by the Chinese National Arctic Research Expedition(CHINARE-2010) are used to partially parameterize equations and to validate results of the model.About 85% of the incident solar radiation passed through the melt pond surface,and some of it was released in the form of sensible and latent heat.However,the released energy was very little(about 15%),compared to the incident solar radiation.More than 58.6% of the incident energy was absorbed by melt pond water,which caused pond-covered ice melting and variation of pond water temperature.The simulated temperature of melt pond had a diurnal variation and its value ranged between 0.0°C and 0.3°C.The melting rate of upper pond-covered ice is estimated to be around two times faster than snow-covered ice.At same time,the change of melting rate was relatively quick for pond depth less than 0.4 m,while the melting rate kept relatively constant(about 1.0 cm/d) for pond depth greater than 0.4 m.ZHANG Shugang BIAN Lingen ZHAO Jinping LI Min CHEN Shizhe JIAO Yutian CHEN Ping 2017Acta Oceanologica Sinica2017,36,8:0

8Desalted duck egg white nanogels as Pickering stabilizers for food-grade oil-in-water emulsion显示文摘Achieving the reuse of traditional egg by-products,salted duck egg whites(SEW),is an urgent problem to be solved.In this current work,we constructed a heat-induced gel-assisted desalination method for SEW.Subsequently,a top-down way was utilized to prepare desalted duck egg protein nanogels(DEPN)with uniformly distributed diameters and their application in the oil/water(O/W)interface system was explored.The results revealed that the increase of DEPN concentration could lower the droplet size,however,the size was negatively correlated with the oil phase fraction.Moreover,the effect of pH,ionic strength,and temperature on the emulsion stability demonstrated that the DEPN-stabilized emulsion displayed superior physical stability under different conditions.The addition of NaCl resulted in the significant decrease in droplet size of the emulsion,while further increasing the NaCl concentration,the droplet size did not decrease accordingly.Besides,heat-treatment and cold-treatment had little negative effect on the stability of the emulsion.Even if the droplet size of the emulsion increased at 80℃for 3 h,the morphology of the emulsion remained unchanged.Our study demonstrated DEPN had great potential as a stabilizer for food-grade Pickering emulsions.Jingyun Zhao Xiaohan Guo Ze Chen Yalei Dai Hongshan Liang Qianchun Deng Shugang Li Bin Zhou 2022Food Science and Human Wellness2022,11,5:0
