| 2 | High-yield preparation of robust gold nanoshells on silica nanorattles with good biocompatiblity显示文摘Although gold nanoshells are widely considered as one of the promising photothermal nanomaterials used for biomedicine, the high cost, low yield and poor stability severely limit their potential application in clinical trials.Herein, robust gold nanoshells on silica nanorattles(GSNs)were easily prepared in a high yield by an improved seedmediated method employing polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP) as a stabilizing and capping agent. The present method is very simple, effective and reproducible and can well control the growth process of gold nanoshells. The as-prepared GSNs have a narrow size distribution(<10 % in standard deviation). Furthermore, the utilization rate of Au in the solution used for the growth of gold nanoshells increases by 70 %than that in previous method. The resultant GSNs have a good structural stability after placing over 6 months due to the protection of PVP. More importantly, in vivo and in vitro toxic studies indicate that the GSNs have good biocompatibility. The anisotropic damage state of the RVE is described by the continuity extents of booms and panels, whose damage evolutions are assumed to be isotropic. The numerical implementation is proposed on the basis of damage mechanics and the finite element method. Finally,the approach is applied to the fatigue life prediction of 2A12-T4 aluminium alloy specimen under cyclic loading of tension-torsion. | 5 | miR-7/TGF-β2 axis sustains acidic tumor microenvironment-induced lung cancer metastasis显示文摘Acidosis,regardless of hypoxia involvement,is recognized as a chronic and harsh tumor microenvironment(TME)that educates malignant cells to thrive and metastasize.Although overwhelming evidence supports an acidic environment as a driver or ubiquitous hallmark of cancer progression,the unrevealed core mechanisms underlying the direct effect of acidification on tumorigenesis have hindered the discovery of novel therapeutic targets and clinical therapy.Here,chemical-induced and transgenic mouse models for colon,liver and lung cancer were established,respectively.miR-7 and TGF-β2 expressions were examined in clinical tissues(n=184).RNA-seq,miRNA-seq,proteomics,biosynthesis analyses and functional studies were performed to validate the mechanisms involved in the acidic TME-induced lung cancer metastasis.Our data show that lung cancer is sensitive to the increased acidification of TME,and acidic TME-induced lung cancer metastasis via inhibition of miR-7-5 p.TGF-β2 is a direct target of miR-7-5 p.The reduced expression of miR-7-5 p subsequently increases the expression of TGF-β2 which enhances the metastatic potential of the lung cancer.Indeed,overexpression of miR-7-5 p reduces the acidic p H-enhanced lung cancer metastasis.Furthermore,the human lung tumor samples also show a reduced miR-7-5 p expression but an elevated level of activated TGF-β2;the expressions of both miR-7-5 p and TGF-β2 are correlated with patients’survival.We are the first to identify the role of the miR-7/TGF-β2 axis in acidic p H-enhanced lung cancer metastasis.Our study not only delineates how acidification directly affects tumorigenesis,but also suggests miR-7 is a novel reliable biomarker for acidic TME and a novel therapeutic target for non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)treatment.Our study opens an avenue to explore the p H-sensitive subcellular components as novel therapeutic targets for cancer treatment. | Tao Su Suchao Huang Yanmin Zhang Yajuan Guo Shuwei Zhang Jiaji Guan Mingjing Meng Linxin Liu Caiyan Wang Dihua Yu Hiu-Yee Kwan Zhiying Huang Qiuju Huang Elaine Lai-Han Leung Ming Hu Ying Wang Zhongqiu Liu Linlin Lu | 2022 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,2: | 2 |
| 6 | Query Translation on the Fly in Deep Web Integration显示文摘To facilitate users to access the desired information,many researches have dedicated to the Deep Web(i.e. Web data-bases) integration. We focus on query translation which is an im-portant part of the Deep Web integration. Our aim is to construct automatically a set of constraints mapping rules so that the system can translate the query from the integrated interface to the Web database interfaces based on them. We construct a concept hierar-chy for the attributes of the query interfaces,especially,store the synonyms and the types(e.g. Number,Text,etc.) for every concept. At the same time,we construct the data hierarchies for some con-cepts if necessary. Then we present an algorithm to generate the constraint mapping rules based on these hierarchies. The approach is suitable for the scalability of such application and can be ex-tended easily from one domain to another for its domain inde-pendent feature. | 13 | An effective Building Neighborhood Green Index model for measuring urban green space显示文摘Urban green space forms an integral part of urban ecosystems.Quantifying urban green space is of substantial importance for urban planning and development.Considering the drawbacks of previous urban green space index models,which established either through a grid method or green distribution,and the difficulty of the validation process of earlier urban green space index models,this study exploits the advantages of multisource high-resolution remote sensing data to establish a Building Neighborhood Green Index(BNGI)model.The model which analyzes the spatial configuration of built-up areas and the vegetation is based on the building-oriented method and considers four parameters–Green Index(GI),proximity to green,building sparsity,and building height.Comparing BNGI with GI in different types of characteristic building regions,it was found that BNGI evaluates urban green space more sensitively.It was also found that high-rise low-sparsity area has a lower mean value of BNGI(0.56)as compared with that of low-rise low-sparsity neighborhood(0.62),whereas mean GI(0.24)is equal for both neighborhoods.Taking characteristics of urban building and green types into consideration,BNGI model can be effectively used in many fields such as land suitability analysis and urban planning. | Yuqin Liu Qingyan Meng Jiahui Zhang Linlin Zhang Tamas Jancso Rumiana Vatseva | 2016 | International Journal of Digital Earth2016,9,4: | 1 |

| 15 | NPRC deletion mitigated atherosclerosis by inhibiting oxidative stress, inflammation and apoptosis in ApoE knockout mice显示文摘Previous studies suggested a beneficial effect of natriuretic peptides in animal models of cardiovascular disease,but the role of natriuretic peptide receptor C(NPRC)in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis(AS)remains unknown.This study was designed to test the hypothesis that NPRC may promote AS lesion formation and instability by enhancing oxidative stress,inflammation,and apoptosis via protein kinase A(PKA)signaling.ApoE^(−/−)mice were fed chow or Western diet for 12 weeks and NPRC expression was significantly increased in the aortic tissues of Western diet-fed mice.Systemic NPRC knockout mice were crossed with ApoE^(−/−)mice to generate ApoE^(−/−)NPRC^(−/−)mice,and NPRC deletion resulted in a significant decrease in the size and instability of aortic atherosclerotic lesions in ApoE^(−/−)NPRC^(−/−)versus ApoE^(−/−)mice.In addition,endothelial cell-specific NPRC knockout attenuated atherosclerotic lesions in mice.In contrast,endothelial cell overexpression of NPRC aggravated the size and instability of atherosclerotic aortic lesions in mice.Experiments in vitro showed that NPRC knockdown in human aortic endothelial cells(HAECs)inhibited ROS production,pro-inflammatory cytokine expression and endothelial cell apoptosis,and increased eNOS expression.Furthermore,NPRC knockdown in HAECs suppressed macrophage migration,cytokine expression,and phagocytosis via its effects on endothelial cells.On the contrary,NPRC overexpression in endothelial cells resulted in opposite effects.Mechanistically,the anti-inflammation and anti-atherosclerosis effects of NPRC deletion involved activation of cAMP/PKA pathway,leading to downstream upregulated AKT1 pathway and downregulated NF-κB pathway.In conclusion,NPRC deletion reduced the size and instability of atherosclerotic lesions in ApoE^(−/−)mice via attenuating inflammation and endothelial cell apoptosis and increasing eNOS expression by modulating cAMP/PKA-AKT1 and NF-κB pathways.Thus,targeting NPRC may provide a promising approach to the prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis. | Cheng Cheng Jie Zhang Xiaodong Li Fei Xue Lei Cao Linlin Meng Wenhai Sui Meng Zhang Yuxia Zhao Bo Xi Xiao Yu Feng Xu Jianmin Yang Yun Zhang Cheng Zhang | 2023 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,9: | 0 |

As an emerging strategy, the micro-and nano-needle(MNN) is a single or an array of micro/nanoneedles,and promises to be a robust technology for efficient, noninvasive and convenient drug delivery. Compared with the conventional injection, MNN can pierce the bio-membranes to transfer cargos without any damage of tissue or nerves. And regarding the topical drug release, MNN is more efficient than oral administration and topical cream.More specifically, microneedle, a powerful technique, has been widely applied in different diseases such as diabetes, anti-obesity and contraception through skin and ocular surface. Correspondingly, many novel microneedles and optimization methods have been developed recently to improve the drug delivery efficacy. Nanoneedle, much smaller than microneedle, can minimize the skin damages caused by the repeated use of microneedles.Nanoneedles with nanoscaled size are usually used to penetrate the cell membrane. And recently many stimulusaided methods like electrical and magnetic force have been invented to deepen penetration and improve transfer effects.
