1Anti-diabetic and anti-cholesterolemic activity of methanol extracts of three species of Amaranthus显示文摘Objective:To investigate the anti-diabetic and anti-cholesterolemic activity of methanol extracts of leaves of Amaranthus caudatus,Amaranthus spinosus and Amaranthus viridis in normal and streptozotocin(STZ) induced diabetic rats.Methods:In this study,the anti-diabetic and anti-cholesterolemic activity of methanol extracts of leaves of all three plants was evaluated by using normal and STZ induced diabetic rots at a dose of 200 mg/kg and 400 mg/kg p.o.daily for 21 days.Blood glucose levels and body weight were monitored at specific intervals,and different biochemical parameters,serum cholesterol,serum triglyceride,high density lipoprotein, low density lipoprotein and very low density lipoprotein were also assessed in the experimental animals.Histology of pancreas was performed.Results:It was found that all the three plants at 400 mg/kg dose showed significant anti-diabetic and anti-cholesterolemic activity(P<0.01),while at 200 mg/kg dose less significant anti-diabetic activity(P<0.05) was observed.Concluslons: Methanol extracts of Amaranthus caudatus,Amaranlhus spinosus and Amaranthus viridis showed significant anti-diabetic and anti-cholesterolemic activity,which provides the scientific proof for their traditional claims.Girija K Lakshman K Udaya Chandrika Sabhya Sachi Ghosh Divya T 2011Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2011,1,2:14
22018 update of expert consensus statement on antiplatelet therapy in East Asian patients with ACS or undergoing PCI显示文摘East Asians are the most populous race in the world and their health status is an important global issue.Compared with Caucasian populations, East Asian patients have a different benefit/risk ratio when using antithrombotic treatment. Despite this observation, treatment strategies in East Asian patients are mostly based on the American and European guidelines. Despite a lower platelet inhibitory response to clopidogrel, East Asian patients show a similar or even a lower rate of ischemic event occurrence and higher bleeding risk compared with Caucasian patients. For potent P2Y_(12) inhibitors(ticagrelor and prasugrel),East Asian patients have shown less favorable net clinical benefits compared with Caucasian patients,which may be related to differences in pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic profiles and therapeutic zone of antiplatelet effect. This updated consensus mainly focuses on state-of-the-art and current controversies in the East Asian population. 4Role of angiogenesis and angiogenic factors in acute and chronic wound healing显示文摘Angiogenesis plays a crucial role in wound healing by forming new blood vessels from preexisting vessels by invading the wound clot and organizing into a microvascular network throughout the granulation tissue.This dynamic process is highly regulated by signals from both serum and the surrounding extracellular matrix environment.Vascular endothelial growth factor,angiopoietin,fibroblast growth factor and transforming growth factor-beta are among the potent angiogenic cytokines in wound angiogenesis.Specific endothelial cell ECM receptors are critical for morphogenetic changes in blood vessels during wound repair.In particular integrin(αvβ3)receptors for fibrin and fibronectin,appear to be required for wound angiogenesis:αvβ3 is focally expressed at the tips of angiogenic capillary sprouts invading the wound clot,and any functional inhibitors ofαvβ3 such as monoclonal antibodies,cyclic RGD peptide antagonists,and peptidomimetics rapidly inhibit granulation tissue formation.In spite of clear knowledge about influence of many angiogenic factors on wound healing,little progress has been made in defining the source of these factors,the regulatory events involved in wound angiogenesis and in the clinical use of angiogenic stimulants to promote repair.Thittamaranahalli Muguregowda Honnegowda Pramod Kumar Echalasara Govindarama Padmanabha Udupa Sudesh Kumar Udaya Kumar Pragna Rao 2015Plastic and Aesthetic Research2015,2,1:3

6Potential of biochar and organic amendments for reclamation of coastal acidic-salt affected soil显示文摘Salinity and acidity have affected several hundred million hectares of land throughout the globe which poses a major threat to global food security and biodiversity.Application of organic amendments for salt-affected soils has been identified as one of the most effective ways to mitigate salinity-induced problems and considered as a green technique offering twin benefits of waste load reduction and land reclamation.However,studies on reclaiming acidic-salt affected soils are limited.Therefore,this study aimed to determine the reclamation potential of biochars and organic amendments involving Gliricidia sepium biochar produced at 300℃,500℃,and 700℃,green waste compost,and municipal sewage sludge at three different amend-ment ratios,1.0%,2.5%and 5.0%.The incubation experiment was conducted for a 4-month period with different amendment ratios applied to the coastal acidic-salt affected soil.Subsamples were extracted from incubation pots after 1 and 4 months and analyzed for soil chemical parameters(pH,EC,NO_(3)^(−),PO_(4)^(3−,total organic carbon,cation exchange capacity,sodium adsorption ratio,exchangeable sodium percentage)and microbial enzyme activity(catalase activity,and acid-and alkaline phosphatase activity).All organic amendments demonstrated enhancement of the soil properties in a significant manner.However,increasing incubation time and amendment ratio increase the changes of soil parameters by a great percentage.Therefore,the maximum amendment ratio of 5.0%and 4 months of incubation period rendered a significant improvement in the reclamation of acidic-salt affected soil.However,the biochar produced at 500℃ contributed the maximum towards the improved physicochemical and biochemical profile of acidic-salt affected soil,making it the most promising organic amend-ment for the reclamation of acidic-salt affected soil.The overall reclamation efficiency of organic amendments registered the following order of variation:700 BCViraj Gunarathne Athula Senadeera Udaya Gunarathne Jayanta Kumar Biswas Yaser A.Almaroai Meththika Vithanage 2020Biochar2020,2,1:2

8Delineation of epicardial stenosis in patients with microvascular disease using pressure drop coefficient:A pilot outcome study显示文摘AIM To investigate the patient-outcomes of newly developed pressure drop coefficient(CDP) in diagnosing epicardial stenosis(ES) in the presence of concomitant microvascular disease(MVD).METHODS Patients from our clinical trial were divided into two subgroups with:(1) cut-off of coronary flow reserve(CFR) < 2.0;and(2) diabetes.First,correlations were performed for both subgroups between CDP and hyperemic microvascular resistance(HMR),a diagnostic parameter for assessing the severity of MVD.Linear regression analysis was used for these correlations.Further,in each of the subgroups,comparisons were made between fractional flow reserve(FFR) < 0.75 and CDP > 27.9 groups for assessing major adverse cardiac events(MACE:Primary outcome).Comparisons were also made between the survival curves for FFR < 0.75 and CDP > 27.9 groups.Two tailed chi-squared and Fischer's exact tests were performed for comparison of the primary outcomes,and the log-rank test was used to compare the Kaplan-Meier survival curves.P < 0.05 for all tests was considered statistically significant.RESULTS Significant linear correlations were observed between CDP and HMR for both CFR < 2.0(r = 0.58,P < 0.001) and diabetic(r = 0.61,P < 0.001) patients.In the CFR < 2.0 subgroup,the %MACE(primary outcomes) for CDP > 27.9 group(7.7%,2/26) was lower than FFR < 0.75 group(3/14,21.4%);P = 0.21.Similarly,in the diabetic subgroup,the %MACE for CDP > 27.9 group(12.5%,2/16) was lower than FFR < 0.75 group(18.2%,2/11);P = 0.69.Survival analysis for CFR < 2.0 subgroup indicated better event-free survival for CDP > 27.9 group(n = 26) when compared with FFR < 0.75 group(n = 14);P = 0.10.Similarly,for the diabetic subgroup,CDP > 27.9 group(n = 16) showed higher survival times compared to FFR group(n = 11);P = 0.58.CONCLUSION CDP correlated significantly with HMR and resulted in better %MACE as well as survival rates in comparison to FFR.These positive trends demonstrate that CDP could be a potential diagnostic endpoint for delineating MVD with or without ES.Ullhas Udaya Hebbar Mohamed A Effat Srikara V Peelukhana Imran Arif Rupak K Banerjee 2017World Journal of Cardiology2017,9,12:2

10MMC的稳态相量模型及功率运行区间计算方法显示文摘模块化多电平换流器(MMC)的控制器输出量与MMC内部电气量之间存在复杂的耦合关系,难以确定影响其输出功率范围的关键因素及计算功率运行区间的边界。为此,首先以dq坐标相量的形式,推导出一种新的MMC的交流侧稳态等效模型,该模型为1个等效电容与等效电压源串联。模型参数可完全由控制器输出量和直流电压确定,从而将控制输出量与运行电气量解耦;等效电容直观地反映了MMC子模块电容充放电过程造成的换流器内部耦合特性对交流侧输出特性的影响。利用所提模型可以方便地计算得到MMC输出功率的P-Q曲线。然后,通过计算P-Q曲线族的包络线,提出一种确定MMC稳态运行区域边界的方法,并研究了环流抑制控制和交流系统短路比对运行区域的影响。最后,在PSCAD/EMTDC平台上搭建单端MMC仿真模型,验证了所提模型及稳态运行区间计算方法的正确性。王洁聪 郭琦 刘崇茹 Udaya Annakkage 黎晓 苏晨博 罗超 2021电力自动化设备2021,41,6:2
