5Reaction experiments between tonalitic melt and mantle olivine and their implications for genesis of high-Mg andesites within cratons显示文摘High-Mg(Mg#>45)andesites(HMA)within cratons attract great attention from geologists.Their origin remains strongly debated.In order to examine and provide direct evidence for previous assumptions about HMA’s genesis inferred from petrological and geochemical investigations,we performed reaction experiments between tonalitic melt and mantle olivine on a six-anvil apparatus at high-temperature of 1250–1400°C and high-pressure of 2.0–5.0 GPa.Our experiments in this work simulated the interaction between the tonalitic melt derived from partial melting of eclogitized lower crust foundering into the Earth’s mantle and mantle peridotite.The experimental results show that the reacted melts have very similar variations in chemical compositions to the HMAs within the North China Craton.Therefore,this interaction is probably an important process to generate the HMAs within crations.WANG MingLiang TANG HongFeng 2013Science China Earth Sciences2013,56,11:3

13Thermodynamic properties of San Carlos olivine at high temperature and high pressure显示文摘In this study, the thermal expansion and heat capacity of San Carlos olivine under high temperature and high pressure are reported. Combining accurate sound velocity data under different P–T conditions with density and heat capacity data at ambient pressure, the density,adiabatic bulk modulus, shear modulus, and most importantly, thermal expansion and heat capacity, of San Carlos are extracted to 14 GPa by a numerical procedure using classic thermodynamic relationships. These data are in agreement with published findings. 14Experimental study on reactions between alkaline basaltic melt and orthopyroxenes: constraints on the evolution of lithospheric mantle in the North China Craton显示文摘The experimental results of the reactions between an alkaline basaltic melt and mantle orthopyroxenes under high-temperature and high-pressure conditions of 1300–1400℃ and 2.0–3.0 GPa using a six-anvil apparatus are reported in this paper.The reactions are proposed to simulate the interactions between melts from the asthenospheric mantle and the lithospheric mantle.The starting melt in the experiments was made from the alkaline basalt occurring in Fuxin,Liaoning Province,and the orthopyroxenes were separated from the mantle xenoliths in Damaping,Hebei Province.The results show that clinopyroxenes were formed in all the reactions between the alkaline basaltic melt and orthopyroxenes under the studied P–T conditions.The formation of clinopyroxene in the reaction zone is mainly controlled by dissolution–crystallization,and the chemical compositions of the reacted melt are primarily infl uenced by the diff usion eff ect.Temperature is the most important parameter controlling the reactions between the melt and orthopyroxenes,which has a direct impact on the melting of orthopyroxenes and the diff usion of chemical components in the melt.Temperature also directly controls the chemical compositions of the newly formed clinopyroxenes in the reaction zone and the reacted melt.The formation of clinopyroxenes from the reactions between the alkaline basaltic melt and orthopyroxenes can result in an increase of CaO and Al_(2)O_(3) contents in the rocks containing this mineral.Therefore,the reactions between the alkaline basaltic melt from the asthenospheric mantle and orthopyroxenes from the lithospheric mantle can lead to the evolution of lithospheric mantle in the North China Craton from refractory to fertile with relatively high CaO and Al 2 O 3 contents.In addition,the reacted melts in some runs were transformed from the starting alkaline basaltic into tholeiitic after reactions,indicating that tholeiitic magma could be generated from alkaline basaltic one via reactions between the latter and orthopyroxene.Hanqi He Mingliang Wang Hongfeng Tang 2024Acta Geochimica2024,43,2:0
15A systematic assessment of hydroxyapatite nanoparticles used in the treatment of melanoma显示文摘Nano Research volume 13,pages2106–2117(2020)Cite this article 106 Accesses 1 Altmetric Metrics details Abstract Melanoma is a highly malignant skin tumor which is prone to recurrence and metastasis.Hydroxyapatite nanoparticles(nHAPs)were reported to possess a suppressive effect on proliferation of various tumor cells in vitro.This study aimed to assess in vitro and in vivo anti-tumor ability and biosafety of the nHAPs used in the treatment of melanoma.Three types of nHAPs with different morphology and crystallinity were synthesized.In vitro cell viability and proliferation studies demonstrated that all three types of nHAPs can inhibit viability and proliferation of A375 and SK-MEL-28 melanoma cells in a concentration-dependent manner.In addition,the rod-shape nHAPs with a crystallinity of 45.60%had the most prominent suppressive effect on the two melanoma cells tested.An important positive regulator of G1/S phase transition in cell cycle,Cyclin D1 protein,was reduced by nHAPs treatment in vivo.We further discovered that the migration ability of the nHAPs treated melanoma cells was greatly decreased.RNA sequencing result revealed that melanoma metastasis related genes were down-regulated by nHAPs,including MMP2,MMP14,ITGA9,ITGB3,ITGB4 and S100B.High concentration of nHAPs treatment in melanoma-bearing nude mice showed a strong inhibitory effect on tumor size and weight.Most importantly,hemolysis,electrolyte disturbance or inflammation response was not discovered in the experimental animals from nHAPs treated groups.We proved that the nHAPs synthesized in the current study has a selective effect to suppress melanoma tumor proliferation and was safe with regard to normal cells and tissue.Zhongtao Li Jiaoqing Tang Hongfeng Wu Zhixin Ling Siyu Chen Yong Zhou Bo Guo Xiao Yang Xiangdong Zhu Lin Wang Chongqi Tu Xingdong Zhang 2020Nano Research2020,13,8:0

17Reaction between basaltic melt and orthopyroxene at 3.0–4.5 GPa:Implications for the evolution of ocean island basalts in the mantle显示文摘Interactions between basaltic melt and orthopyroxenite(Opx)were investigated to gain a better understanding of the consequences of the residence and transport of ocean island basalts(OIBs)within the mantle.The experiments were conducted using a DS-3600 six-anvil apparatus at 3.0–4.5 GPa and 1300–1450℃.The basaltic melt and Opx coexisted at local equilibrium at these pressures and temperatures;the initial melts dissolved Opx,which modified their chemical composition,and clinopyroxene(Cpx)precipitated with or without garnet(Grt).The trace-element contents of Grt,Cpx,and melt were measured and the mineral–melt distribution coefficients(D)of Cpx–melt and Grt–melt were calculated,which can be used to assess the distribution of trace elements between basalt and minerals in the mantle.Two types of reaction rim were found in the experimental products,Cpx,and Cpx+Grt;this result indicates that residual rocks within the mantle should be pyroxenite or garnet pyroxenite.Both rock types are found in mantle xenoliths from Hawaii,and the rare-earth-element(REE)pattern of Cpx in these mantle pyroxenites matches those of Cpx in the experimental reaction rims.Furthermore,residual melts in the experimental products plot in similar positions to Hawaiian high-SiO_(2)OIBs on major-element Harker diagrams,and their trace-element patterns show the signature of residual Grt,particularly in runs at1350℃ and 4.0–4.5 GPa.Trace-element concentrations of the experimental residual melts plot in similar positions to the Hawaiian OIBs on commonly used discrimination diagrams(Ti vs.Zr,Cr vs.Y,Cr vs.V,Zr/Y vs.Zr,and Ti/Y vs.Nb/Y).These results indicate that reaction between basaltic melt and pyroxenite might contribute to the generation of Hawaiian high-SiO2 OIBs and account for their chemical variability.Chunjuan Zang Mingliang Wang Hongfeng Tang Hanqi He 2021Geoscience Frontiers2021,12,2:0
18Adsorption of trichlorphon on phyllosilicate minerals:Effect of low-molecular-weight organic acids显示文摘The use of trichlorphon in large quantities causes a large number of organic pollutants to enter water, sediments, and soils. Phyllosilicate minerals are considered effective adsorbents for organic pollutants. However, the adsorption behavior of organic pollutants on soil minerals affected by low-molecular-weight organic acids(LMWOAs) is not fully understood. In this study, the effect of LMWOAs on the adsorption behavior of trichlorphon on phyllosilicate minerals was investigated using a combination of adsorption measurements and molecular spectroscopic techniques(attenuated total reflection-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(ATR-FTIR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)). The adsorption of trichlorphon onto kaolinite(KAO) and montmorillonite(MON) was suppressed by increasing pH, indicating that electrostatic interaction played a key role in adsorption, especially at low pH. In the presence of citric acid(CA), there was an obvious promotion of trichlorphon adsorption on KAO and MON. In the presence of oxalic acid(OA), the adsorption of trichlorphon on KAO was promoted, whereas the adsorption on MON was inhibited, especially at pH 4.0. The presence of CA and OA increased the adsorption by increasing the exposure of hydrophobic sites of KAO and MON. The results from ATR-FTIR and XPS also indicated that the hydrophobic Si–O sites of phyllosilicate minerals were the preferred adsorption sites for trichlorphon in the presence of CA and OA, probably driven by the hydrophobic effect. However, the weak effect of OA on MON caused an increase in the electrostatic repulsion between MON and trichlorphon molecules, thus inhibiting adsorption.
