| 1 | 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). | 4 | Acupuncture activates signal transduction pathways related to brain-tissue restoration after ischemic injury显示文摘A middle cerebral artery occlusion-model was established in rats using the improved thread embolism method.Rats were treated with acupuncture at either Dazhui(DU14),Renzhong(DU26), Baihui(DU20),or a non-meridian point.Detection with protein-chip technology showed that the level of protein phosphorylation in both groups was upregulated or downregulated depending on the signaling pathway compared with the model group that did not receive acupuncture.Analysis of proteins showing downregulated phosphorylation revealed that five signaling pathways were activated in the acupuncture-treatment group,while only two were activated in the acupuncture-control group.In contrast,analysis of proteins showing upregulated phosphorylation revealed only one pathway was activated in the acupuncture-treatment group,whereas four pathways were activated in the acupuncture-control group.Furthermore,the number of activated proteins in the acupuncture-treatment group was not only higher than the acupuncture-control group,but unlike the acupuncture-control group,the majority of activated proteins were key proteins in the signaling pathways.Our findings indicate that acupuncture at specific points can activate multiple signaling pathways to promote the restoration of brain tissue following ischemic injury,and that this is based on a combination of effects resulting from multiple pathways,targets,and means. | Haomei Tian Hong Zhang Junbao Zhu Juan Zhang Hening Cai Yuchen Zhang Chutao Chen | 2012 | Neural Regeneration Research2012,7,24: | 9 |
| 5 | Interaction between en- dogenous nitric oxide and carbon monoxide in the pathogenesis of hypoxic pulmonary hypertension显示文摘The aim of the study was to investigate the in-teraction between nitric oxygenase (NOS)/ nitric oxide (NO) and heme oxygenase (HO)/ carbon monoxide (CO) system in the pathogenesis of hypoxic pulmonary hypertension. On a rat model of hypoxic pulmonary hypertension, the pulmo-nary artery pressure was measured, and NO formation and expression of NOS in pulmonary tissues were examined after treatment with ZnPP-IX, an HO-1 inhibitor. The pulmonary artery pressure, CO formation and expression of HO-1 in pulmonary tissues were examined after treatment with L-NAME, a NOS inhibitor. We found that pulmonary hy-pertension developed after 2-week hypoxia, while the con-centration of NO in the pulmonary tissue homogenates and the expression of NOS in intrapulmonary artery endothelial cells decreased markedly. ZnPP-IX worsened pulmonary hypertension of hypoxic rats. However, it increased endoge-nous production of NO and the expression of NOS obviously. The concentration of CO in the pulmonary tissue homoge-nates and the expression of HO-1 in intrapulmonary artery smooth muscle cells increased markedly with hypoxic pul-monary hypertension. L-NAME worsened pulmonary hy-pertension of hypoxic rats, but inhibited CO formation and HO-1 expression (P < 0.01). | 6 | Time function of surface subsidence based on Harris model in mined-out area显示文摘The surface subsidence is a common environmental hazard in mined-out area. Based on careful analysis of the regularity of surface subsidence in mined-out area, we proposed a new time function based on Harris curve model in consideration of the shortage of current surface subsidence time functions. By analyzing the characteristics of the new time function, we found that it could meet the dynamic process, the velocity change process and the acceleration change process during surface subsidence. Then its rationality had been verified through project cases. The results show that the proposed time function model can give a good reflection of the regularity of surface subsidence in mined-out area and can accurately predict surface subsidence. And the prediction data of the model are a little greater than measured data on condition of proper measured data quantity, which is safety in the engineering. | 7 | Opportunistic maintenance for multi-component systems considering structural dependence and economic dependence显示文摘Although opportunistic maintenance strategies are widely used for multi-component systems, all opportunistic maintenance strategies only consider economic dependence and do not take structural dependence into account. An opportunistic maintenance strategy is presented for a multi-component system that considers both structural dependence and economic dependence.The cost relation and time relation among components based on structural dependence are developed. The maintenance strategy for each component of a multi-component system involves one of five maintenance actions, namely, no-maintenance, a minimal maintenance action, an imperfect maintenance action, a perfect maintenance action, and a replacement action. The maintenance action is determined by the virtual age of the component, the life expectancy of the component, and the age threshold values.Monte Carlo simulation is designed to obtain the optimal opportunistic maintenance strategy of the system over its lifetime. The simulation result reveals that the minimum maintenance cost with a strategy that considers structural dependence is less than that with a strategy that does not consider structural dependence. | 8 | Autonomic Nervous Function in Vasovagal Syncope of Children and Adolescents显示文摘Syncope is defined as a transient loss of consciousness due to global cerebral hypoperfusion, accompanied by loss of muscle tone and failure to maintain an active position. Vasovagal syncope (VVS) is the most common presentation of syncope, and its diagnostic criteria include:(1) absence of any other evident etiology for syncope or presyncope,(2) positive response to head-up tilt test with evident vasovagal reaction (hypotension and/or bradycardia), and (3) no concomitant chronic or acute disease [1, 2]. The onset of VVS peaks initially in childhood and adolescence, and accounts for 60%–70% of all syncopal cases. Clinicians pay great attention to syncope among children and adolescents, due to its high prevalence and its impact on patients’ quality of life. Affected individuals often experience mental stress, economic burdens, and accidental bodily injuries related to syncope [2]. While the pathogenesis of VVS is not fully understood, autonomic nervous dysfunction has been identified as a contributing mechanism. | 9 | Remote Sensing Retrieval of Surface Suspended Sediment Concentration in the Yellow River Estuary显示文摘Accurate assessment of surface suspended sediment concentration(SSSC) in estuary is essential to address several important issues: erosion, water pollution, human health risks, etc. In this study, an empirical cubic retrieval model was developed for the retrieval of SSSC from Yellow River Estuary. Based on sediments and seawater collected from the Yellow River and southeastern Laizhou Bay, SSSC conditions were reproduced in the laboratory at increasing concentrations within a range common to field observations. Continuous spectrum measurements of the various SSSCs ranging from 1 to 5700 mg/l were carried out using an Ava Field-3 spectrometer. The results indicated the good correlation between water SSSC and spectral reflectance(Rrs) was obtained in the spectral range of 726–900 nm. At SSSC greater than 2700 mg/L, the 740–900 nm spectral range was less susceptible to the effects of spectral reflectance saturation and more suitable for retrieval of high sediment concentrations. The best correlations were obtained for the reflectance ratio of 820 nm to 490 nm. Informed by the correlation between Rrs and SSSC, a retrieval model was developed(R2 = 0.992). The novel cubic model, which used the ratio of a near-infrared(NIR) band(740–900 nm) to a visible band(400–600 nm) as factors, provided robust quantification of high SSSC water samples. Two high SSSC centers, with an order of 103 mg/l, were found in the inversion results around the abandoned Diaokou River mouth, the present Yellow River mouth to the abandoned Qingshuigou River mouth. | 11 | Influence of Erbanxiao solution on inhibiting angiogenesis in stasis toxin stagnation of non-small cell lung cancer显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects and mechanisms of Erbanxiao solution in inhibiting tumor angiogenesis. METHODS: We observed the effects and mechanisms of Chinese medicines on inhibiting tumor angiogenesis and studied the theories and results of treatment. Sixty patients with lung cancer were randomized into two groups (n=30). Patients in the control group were given compound Kushen injection, and patients in the treatment group were given Erbanxiao solution. The effect of Erbanxiao solution on vascular endothelium growth factor (VEGF), basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF), and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) was observed. RESULTS: The effective rate of the treatment group was 60% while the control group was 36%. There was a significant difference between the twogroups (P<0.05). VEGF, bFGF, and TNF-α levels of the two groups were significantly different before and after treatment (P<0.01). These Traditional Chi- nese Medicines significantly inhibited tumor angiogenesis, possibly by changing levels of VEGF, bFGF, andTNF-α. | 15 | Progress in bionic information processing techniques for an electronic nose based on olfactory models显示文摘As a novel bionic analytical technique, an electronic nose, inspired by the mechanism of the biological olfactory system and integrated with modern sensing technology, electronic technology and pattern recognition technology, has been widely used in many areas. Moreover, recent basic research findings in biological olfaction combined with computational neuroscience promote its development both in methodology and application. In this review, the basic information processing principle of biological olfaction and artificial olfaction are summarized and compared, and four olfactory models and their applications to electronic noses are presented. Finally, a chaotic olfactory neural network is detailed and the utilization of several biologically oriented learning rules and its spatiotemporal dynamic propties for electronic noses are discussed. The integration of various phenomena and their mechanisms for biological olfaction into an electronic nose context for information processing will not only make them more bionic, but also perform better than conventional methods.
