The preparation of supported ionic liquids (SILs) and their application in rare metals separation显示文摘This review summarizes the preparation methods of support ionic liquids (SILs) and their applications in rare metals separation. The rare metals separation includes the recovery of high value metal ions and the removal of heavy metal ions from wastewater. SILs can be used as a kind of highly efficient multifunctional separation materials. The preparation methods of SILs include chemical immobilization technique in which ILs moieties are supported on solid supports via covalent bonds and physical immobilization techniques in which ILs are immobilized on solid supports via physical method such as simple im- pregnation, sol-gel method. According to the difference of solid supports, this review summarizes the application of polymer supported ionic liquids (P-SILs), silica based material supported ionic liquids (SM-SILs) and membrane supported ionic liq- uids (M-SILs) in rare metals separation. P-SILs and SM-SILs prepared by chemical method with N-methylimidazolium group can be used as highly efficient anion exchangers with high thermal stability and good chemical stability for adsorption of Cr(VI), Re(VII), Ce(IV). P-SILs prepared via simple impregnation afforded IL functionalized solvent impregnated resins (SIRs) which showed high separation efficiency and selectivity in the separation of rare earths(III) (REs(III)). SM-SILs prepared via sol-gel method with IL doped in the support as porogens or extractant show high removal efficiencies and excellent stability for the separation of RE(III), Cr(III) and Cr(VI). M-SILs with IL as plasticizer or carrier show improved stability, high perme- ability coefficient and good selectivity for Cr(VI) transport. Different supports and different supporting methods were suffi- ciently compared. Based on the different practical application, different forms of SILs can be prepared for separation of rare metals with high separation efficiency and selectivity.ZHU LiLi GUO Lin ZHANG ZhenJiang CHEN Ji ZHANG ShaoMin 2012Science China Chemistry2012,55,8:4

Measuring ground deformations caused by 2015 Mw7.8 Nepal earthquake using high-rate GPS data显示文摘The April 25,2015 Mw7.8 Nepal earthquake was successfully recorded by Crustal Movement Observation Network of China(CMONOC) and Nepal Geodetic Array(NGA).We processed the high-rate GPS data(1 Hz and 5 Hz) by using relative kinematic positioning and derived dynamic ground motions caused by this large earthquake. The dynamic displacements time series clearly indicated the displacement amplitude of each station was related to the rupture directivity. The stations which located in the direction of rupture propagation had larger displacement amplitudes than others. Also dynamic ground displacement exceeding 5 cm was detected by the GPS station that was 2000 km away from the epicenter.Permanent coseismic displacements were resolved from the near-field high-rate GPS stations with wavelet decomposition-reconstruction method and P-wave arrivals were also detected with S transform method. The results of this study can be used for earthquake rupture process and Earthquake Early Warning studies.Yong Huang Shaomin Yang Xuejun Qiao Mu Lin Bin Zhao Kai Tan 2017Geodesy and Geodynamics2017,8,4:1

Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector. Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements, such as its low-energy threshold, high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors, and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors. In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable, assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition, approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected. This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter, which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle. Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better, depending on the central value, and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND experiment.Angel Abusleme Thomas Adam Shakeel Ahmad Sebastiano Aiello Muhammad Akram Nawab Ali Fengpeng An Guangpeng An Qi An Giuseppe Andronico Nikolay Anfimov Vito Antonelli Tatiana Antoshkina Burin 13A mini-review on the enzyme-mediated manipulation of proteins/peptides显示文摘Recent years have seen an ever increasing number of enzyme mediated protein/peptide modification reactions, which contribute significantly to the elucidation of related biological functions. The many available enzymes have, however, caused difficulties for practitioners in choosing the most appropriate enzyme for a certain purpose. This review surveyed the widely used enzymes(i.e., sortases, butelase 1,subtiligase, formylglycine generating enzyme and farnesyltransferase) in the manipulation of proteins/peptides, and the application fields of these enzymes as well as the advantages and limitations of each enzyme are summarized.Shaomin Lin Chunmao He 2018Chinese Chemical Letters2018,29,7:0
Self-assembly Behavior of Metal Halide Perovskite Nanocrystals显示文摘The self-assembled metal halide perovskite(MHP)nanocrystal superlattices have attracted many researchers due to their exceptional optical and electrical properties. The bottom-up self-assembly can be facile to generate ideal and periodic structures. The superlattices’stability can be improved and the photoluminescence lifetime can be extended by an order of magnitude. However, due to lack of a comprehensive and systematic understanding of the internal interactions on self-assembled processes now, superlattices cannot be obtained controllably and play full use of their advantages. Therefore, gaining a deep insight of interaction forces about self-assemblies is the premise of designing and controlling the degree of self-assembly so as to prepare ideal materials. In this review, the definitions and functions of driving forces including van der Waals forces, electrostatic interactions and hydrogen bonds are discussed.Subsequently,we aim to explore the dominant factors affecting the driving forces, which can make a difference in the process of MHP self-assembly.Based on current researches,we emphasize on three aspects−the core of nanocrystals, surface ligands and solvents−to clarify their critical roles in controlling the driving forces. Finally, the outlooks and perspectives of how to facilitate the MHP self-assembly and their application on blue light emitting diodes are discussed.Zhuoying Yang Shaomin Peng Fan Lin Pengfei Wang Guichuan Xing Lin Yu 2022Chinese Journal of Chemistry2022,40,18:0
Effect of Y:Zn ratio on microstructure and emission of Er^(3+)/Yb^(3+) codoped Y_(2)O_(3)-ZnO ceramic phosphors显示文摘In this study,Er^(3+)/Yb^(3+)codoped Y_(2)O_(3)-ZnO ceramic phosphors were prepared by sol-gel method. The samples had two emission bands,namely,green(535 nm) and red(660 nm),which are attributed to Er^(3+):^(2)H_(11/2)(^(4)S_(3/2))→^(4)I_(15/2)and Er^(3+):^(4)F_(9/2)→^(4)I_(15/2)radiative transitions, respectively. The samples exhibited green-and red-emission intensity enhancement by 1.728 and 2.286 times that of the pure Y2O3host,respectively and by 514.468 and 214.341 times that of the pure ZnO host. The emission intensities are first enhanced by lattice expansion. With the change of Y:Zn ratio, the high surface energy is converted into low crystal surface resulting in the change of asymmetry crystal field for matrix. When the intensity of the asymmetric crystal field reaches maximum, both emissions are further boosted. When the high surface energy transforms into crystal surface energy, the microstructure changes into a compact mesoporous structure.Consequently, the chemical stability of the samples improves significantly, and the final emission band of the three samples with mesoporous structures is continuously red.Boxu Xu Chao Song Jie Song Rui Huang Shaomin Lin Zhenxu Lin Yi Zhang Dejian Hou Jun Song 2023Journal of Rare Earths2023,41,12:0
