1A review on therapeutic potential of Nigella sativa:A miracle herb显示文摘Nigella sativa(N.sativa)(Family Ranunculaceae)is a widely used medicinal plant throughout the world.It is very popular in various traditional systems of medicine like Unani and Tibb,Ayurveda and Siddha.Seeds and oil have a long history of folklore usage in various systems of medicines and food.The seeds of N.saliva have been widely used in the treatment of different diseases and ailments.In Islamic literature,it is considered as one of the greatest forms of healing medicine.It has been recommended for using on regular basis in Tibb-e-Nabwi(Prophetic Medicine).It has been widely used as antihypertensive,liver tonics,diuretics,digestive,anti-diarrheal,appetite stimulant,analgesics,anti-bacterial and in skin disorders.Extensive studies on N.sativa have been carried out by various researchers and a wide spectrum of its pharmacological actions have been explored which may include antidiabetic,anticancer,immunomodulator,analgesic,antimicrobial,anti-inflammatory,spasmolytic,bronchodilator,hepato-protective,renal protective,gaslro-prolective,antioxidant properties,etc.Due to its miraculous power of healing,N.sativa has got the place among the top ranked evidence based herbal medicines.This is also revealed that most of the therapeutic,properties of this plant are due to the presence of thymoquinone which is major bioactive component of the essential oil.The present review is an effort to provide a detailed survey of the literature on scientific researches of pharmacognostical characteristics,chemical composition and pharmacological activities of the seeds of this plant.Aftab Ahmad Asif Husain Mohd Mujeeb Shah Alam Khan Abul Kalam Najmi Nasir Ali Siddique Zoheir A.Damanhouri Firoz Anwar 2013Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2013,3,5:16

3Quantification of total phenol,flavonoid content and pharmacognostical evaluation including HPTLC fingerprinting for the standardization of Piper nigrum Linn fruits显示文摘Objective:To carry out the physicochemical and phytochemical standardization with high performance thin layer chromatography fingerprinting of Piper nigrum L.(P.nigrum)fruits in order to ascertain the standard pharmacognostical parameters of this king of spices.Methods:Many standardization parameters like extractive values,total ash value,water soluble ash value and acid insoluble ash,moisture content,loss on drying and pH values of P.nigrum L.fruits were analyzed.The method of Harborne was adopted for the preliminary phytochemicals screening.Analysis of total phenolic and flavonoid contents,pesticides residues,aflatoxin and heavy metals were also performed.CAMAG-high performance thin layer chromatography system was used for fingerprinting of methanolic extract of P.nigrum L.fruits.Results:The results of phytochemicals testing indicated the presence of carbohydrates,phenolic compounds,flavonoids,alkaloids,proteins,saponins,lipids,sterols and tannins in various solvent extracts.Total phenolic and flavonoid contents in methanolic extract were found to be 1.728 1 mg/g and 1.087 ug/g,respectively.Heavy metals concentrations were found to be within standard limits.Aflatoxins and pesticides residues were absent.Conclusions:The outcome of this study might prove beneficial in herbal industries for identification,purification and standardization of P.nigrum L.fruits.Aftab Ahmad Asif Husain Mohd Mujeeb Shah Alam Khan Hani Abdullah Anber Alhadrami Anil Bhandari 2015Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2015,5,2:3

5Machine learning for intrusion detection in industrial control systems:challenges and lessons from experimental evaluation显示文摘Gradual increase in the number of successful attacks against Industrial Control Systems(ICS)has led to an urgent need to create defense mechanisms for accurate and timely detection of the resulting process anomalies.Towards this end,a class of anomaly detectors,created using data-centric approaches,are gaining attention.Using machine learning algorithms such approaches can automatically learn the process dynamics and control strategies deployed in an ICS.The use of these approaches leads to relatively easier and faster creation of anomaly detectors compared to the use of design-centric approaches that are based on plant physics and design.Despite the advantages,there exist significant challenges and implementation issues in the creation and deployment of detectors generated using machine learning for city-scale plants.In this work,we enumerate and discuss such challenges.Also presented is a series of lessons learned in our attempt to meet these challenges in an operational plant.Gauthama Raman M.R. 19纯ZnS、CdS及其掺杂半导体纳米颗粒的绿色合成(英文)显示文摘采用化学水浴沉积方法制备纯ZnS、CdS及Cu或Ag掺杂ZnS、CdS纳米颗粒,整个过程没有使用任何覆盖剂和有毒化学试剂。该制备方法是一种简单的低成本绿色合成方法。XRD结果表明,所得纯ZnS、CdS及其掺杂体结晶良好,具有密排六方结构。采用Debye-Scherrer公式计算所有纳米颗粒的平均晶粒尺寸,发现未掺杂纳米颗粒的晶粒尺寸与掺杂样品的晶粒尺寸存在差别。CdS纳米颗粒的晶粒尺寸为5.5~2.2 nm,而ZnS纳米颗粒的晶粒尺寸为4.3~3.4 nm。紫外-可见光谱分析表明,CdS的能带宽为3.5~2.1 e V,ZnS的能带宽为3.3~2.7 e V。FTIR光谱中存在Cd—S、Cu—S、Ag—S和Zn—S的特征峰,表明样品中存在这些纳米颗粒。同时还观察到了与显微组织相应的峰。FE-SEM结果表明,所有样品都具有球状形貌。CdS:Cu和ZnS:Cu纳米粒子发生团聚,其尺寸分别为10~50 nm和50~100 nm。K.MURALEEDHARAN Vijisha K.RAJAN V.M.ABDUL MUJEEB 2015Transactions of Nonferrous Metals Society of China2015,25,10:1
