1Dryland Expansion in Northern China from 1948 to 2008显示文摘This study examines the expansion of drylands and regional climate change in northern China by analyzing the variations in aridity index(AI), surface air temperature(SAT), precipitation and potential evapotranspiration(PET) from 1948 to 2008.It is found that the drylands of northern China have expanded remarkably in the last 61 years. The area of drylands of the last 15 years(1994–2008) is 0.65 × 106km2(12%) larger than that in the period 1948–62. The boundary of drylands has extended eastward over Northeast China by about 2° of longitude and by about 1° of latitude to the south along the middleto-lower reaches of the Yellow River. A zonal band of expansion of semi-arid regions has occurred, stretching from western Heilongjiang Province to southern Gansu Province, while shifts to the east of semi-arid regions in dry subhumid regions have also occurred. Results show that the aridity trend of drylands in northern China is highly correlated with the long-term trend of precipitation and PET, and the expansion of semi-arid regions plays a dominant role in the areal extent of drylands, which is nearly 10 times larger than that in arid and subhumid regions.LI Yue HUANG Jianping JI Mingxia RAN Jinjiang 2015Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2015,32,6:12
2Middle–Upper Ordovician(Darriwilian–Early Katian) Positive Carbon Isotope Excursions in the Northern Tarim Basin, Northwest China: Implications for Stratigraphic Correlation and Paleoclimate显示文摘Three positive carbon isotope excursions are reported from Middle–Upper Ordovician in Tahe oil-gas field, northern Tarim Basin. Based on conodont biostratigraphy, the Middle Darriwilian Isotope Carbon Excursion(MDICE) and the Guttenberg Carbon Isotope Excursion(GICE) are identified from Darriwilian to Early Katian by the aid of whole-rock carbon isotope data from two well cores. Positive excursion within conodont Pygodus anserinus zone is developed in Early Sandbian, and the fluctuation range is no less than MDICE. Because the range of this excursion in the generalized global carbon isotope curve is short, previous studies paid little attention to it, and named Early Sandbian Isotope Carbon Excursion(ESICE) in this paper. Furthermore, these positive excursions are not directly related to sea level fluctuations and the MDICE and GICE identified in northern Tarim can be globally correlated to that in southern China, North America, South America, and Europe. The Saergan Fm. source rocks of Middle-Upper Ordovician in Kalpin Dawangou outcrop are in accord with the geologic time of MDICE and ESICE, and GICE have strong ties to the source rock of Lianglitag Fm. in basin. Abundant organic carbon burial is an important factor in genesis of positive isotope carbon excursions. 3Primarily screening and analyzing ESTs differentially expressed in rats' primary liver cancer显示文摘Objective: To screen and analyze key express sequence tags (ESTs) which were differentially displayed in every period of SD rats' primary hepatic carcinoma and reveal the molecular mechanism of carcinogenesis. Methods: Using diethylnitrosamine (DENA) as a cancerigenic agent, animal models with different phases of primary hepatic cancer were constructed in SD rats. Rats were respectively sacrificed at d 14, d 28, d 56, d 77, d 105 and d 112 after the rats received DENA by gavage, then the livers were harvested. One part of the livers was classified according to their pathological changes, while the other was reserved for molecular mechanism studies on hepatocarcinogenesis. The differentially expressed genes were isolated from both normal and morbid tissues by mRNA differential display technique (DDRT-PCR). After the fragments were sequenced, bioinformatics were used to analyze the results. Results: Twelve differentially expressed cDNA fragments were obtained. Nine fragments had the homology with known cDNA clones, especially EST-7 was similar to BN/SsNHsdMCW mitochondrion gene and the identity was 100% which suggested EST-7 may be the part of BN/SsNHsdMCW mitochondrion gene. In contrast, other three fragments (EST-1, EST-3 and EST-5) had extremely low identity to any genes registered in GENBANK databases. Conclusions: BN/SsNHsdMCW mitochondrion gene was expressed in different periods of hepatocarcinogenesis. 5Longitudinal study of a community hospital integrated model for diabetes management in the Beijing Jingsong community显示文摘Objective:To determine the effects of a community hospital integrated model on the longitu-dinal management of diabetic patients.Methods:Four hundred forty-one patients with type 2 diabetes residing in Jingsong Commu-nity were randomly assigned to intensive and standard groups.Metabolic parameters were meas-ured in the two groups at baseline and after 36 months of management to compare the rate of goal achievement.Results:After comprehensive management,the overall control rate in the intensive group was increased from 2.7%to 9.6%compared with 2.3%-4.5%in the standard group.Specifically,the control rates for fasting plasma glucose,glycosylated hemoglobin,and blood pressure in the intensive group were significantly increased from 54.1%,40.0%,and 68.2%to 85.5%,74.6%,and 89.1%,respectively.The control rate for glycosylated hemoglobin in the intensive group was significantly higher than the standard group after 36 months of treatment.Conclusion:The community hospital integrated model for longitudinal management effec-tively improved the control rate of glycosylated hemoglobin and the overall control rate in patients with type 2 diabetes.Jiandong Zhang Ning Zhuang Mingxia Yuan Lijuan Gao Chuan Bian Huaining Chen Qing Chi Suqing Hui Guiying Li Yanli Su Hongsong Bao Gang Wan Guangran Yang Shenyuan Yuan 2014Family Medicine and Community Health2014,2,1:7
6A new species of the genus Crocidura from China based on molecular and morphological data(Eulipotyphla: Soricidae)显示文摘A new species of white-toothed shrew,Crocidura anhuiensis Zhang,Zhang&Li,sp.nov.is described from Mount Huang,China.Genetic sequence(mt DNA Cyt b gene)and morphological(external and skull)data are used to distinguish this newly discovered species.The phylogenetic analysis shows that the materials of this work are monophyletic and allied to C.attenuata by the uncorrected genetic distance 4.9–5.1%,which suggests a species-level divergence.Morphologically,the materials are different from C.attenuata by presenting a greater proportion of tail-to-body ratio and the presence of an obvious tooth root in the mandible.Based on those data,the unnamed species is described as a new species which is currently known only from the Wild Monkey Valley,Mount Huang,Anhui Province,China.Heng Zhang Guiyou Wu Yanqing Wu Jianfei Yao Shuo You Chencheng Wang Feng Cheng Jingjing Chen Mingxia Tang Chunlin Li Baowei Zhang 2019Zoological Systematics2019,44,4:5
7Allosteric inhibition reveals SHP2-mediated tumor immunosuppression in colon cancer by single-cell transcriptomics显示文摘Colorectal cancer(CRC), a malignant tumor worldwide consists of microsatellite instability(MSI) and stable(MSS) phenotypes. Although SHP2 is a hopeful target for cancer therapy, its relationship with innate immunosuppression remains elusive. To address that, single-cell RNA sequencing wasperformed to explore the role of SHP2 in all cell types of tumor microenvironment(TME) from murine MC38 xenografts. Intratumoral cells were found to be functionally heterogeneous and responded significantly to SHP099, a SHP2 allosteric inhibitor. The malignant evolution of tumor cells was remarkably arrested by SHP099. Mechanistically, STING-TBK1-IRF3-mediated type I interferon signaling was highly activated by SHP099 in infiltrated myeloid cells. Notably, CRC patients with MSS phenotype exhibited greater macrophage infiltration and more potent SHP2 phosphorylation in CD68;macrophages than MSI-high phenotypes, suggesting the potential role of macrophagic SHP2 in TME. 8Blocking of the PD-1/PD-L1 interaction by a novel cyclic peptide inhibitor for cancer immunotherapy显示文摘The interaction of PD-1/PD-L1 allows tumor cells to escape from immune surveillance.Clinical success of the antibody drugs has proven that blockade of PD-1/PD-L1 pathway is a promising strategy for cancer immunotherapy.Here,we developed a cyclic peptide C8 by using Ph.D.-C7 C phage display technology.C8 showed high binding affinity with h PD-1 and could effectively interfere the interaction of PD-1/PD-L1.Furthermore,C8 could stimulate CD8^(+)T cell activation in human peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs).We also observed that C8 could suppress tumor growth in CT26 and B16-OVA,as well as anti-PD-1 antibody resistant B16 mouse model.CD8^(+)T cells infiltration significantly increased in tumor microenvironment,and IFN-γsecretion by CD8^(+)T cells in draining lymph nodes also increased.Simultaneously,we exploited T cells depletion models and confirmed that C8 exerted anti-tumor effects via activating CD8^(+)T cells dependent manner.The interaction model of C8 with h PD-1 was simulated and confirmed by alanine scanning.In conclusion,C8 shows anti-tumor capability by blockade of PD-1/PD-L1 interaction,and C8 may provide an alternative candidate for cancer immunotherapy.Wenjie Zhai Xiuman Zhou Mingxia Zhai Wanqiong Li Yunhui Ran Yixuan Sun Jiangfeng Du Wenshan Zhao Lingxiao Xing Yuanming Qi Yanfeng Gao 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,4:5
9Effect of Shot Peening and Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation on the Intergranular Corrosion Behavior of 7A85 Aluminum Alloy显示文摘The effects of shot peening(SP) and plasma electrolytic oxidation(PEO) on the intergranular corrosion behavior of the novel high strength aluminum alloy 7A85(AA 7A85) were investigated by electrochemical polarization and electrochemical impedance tests.The intergranular corrosion mechanism of SP,PEO and PEO combined with sealingtreated AA 7A85 was studied by the metallographic analysis,residual stress testing,X-ray diffractometer analysis and scanning electron microscopy.The results show that AA 7A85-T7452 is very sensitive to intergranular corrosion.SP would significantly improve its intergranular corrosion resistance.This is attributed to the combination action of residual compressive stress and grain refinement.PEO would reduce the largest corrosion depth by 41.6%.Moreover,PEO without sealing did not eliminate the intergranular corrosion due to the existence of the micropores and microcracks in the oxide coating.However,PEO combined with the SiO2sol–gel sealing treatment could effectively protect the AA 7A85-T7452 from intergranular corrosion because of the good corrosion resistance and barrier function of the sealed coating.Zuoyan Ye Daoxin Liu Chongyang Li Xiaoming Zhang Zhi Yang Mingxia Lei 2014Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2014,27,4:4

11A novel extractant bis(2-ethylhexyl)((2-ethylhexylamino)methyl) phosphine oxide for cerium(Ⅳ) extraction and separation from sulfate medium显示文摘By introducing the amine group into phosphorus extractant,a novel aminophosphine compound bis(2-ethylhexyl)((2-ethylhexylamino)methyl) phosphine oxide(DEHAPO,abbreviated as A) was synthesized for the extraction of cerium(Ⅳ)(Ce(Ⅳ)) from sulfate medium(H2 SO4).The influence factors including extractant concentration,H2 SO4 concentration and temperature on the Ce(Ⅳ) extraction were investigated and discussed.It is found that the extraction ability of Ce(Ⅳ),thorium(Ⅳ)(Th(Ⅳ)) and rare earths(REs(Ⅲ))(La,Gd,Yb) decreases in sulphate medium in the following order:Ce(Ⅳ)> Th(Ⅳ)> REs(Ⅲ).The extraction process is an exothermic reaction and the thermodynamic parameters were calculated.The extracted complex of Ce(HSO4)2 SO4·A in loaded organic solution was identified by the slope methods and further proved by FT-IR spectral analysis.Stripping studies indicate that Ce(IV) can be effectively stripped from the organic phase.The results of separation factors(β) and saturation loading capacity demonstrate that DEHAPO could be used to selectively extract Ce(Ⅳ) from sulphate medium with high separation efficiency and good extraction ability.Mingxia Huang Yongmei Fu Youcai Lu Wuping Liao Zhongjun Li 2020Journal of Rare Earths2020,38,12:3
12Thermodynamic properties of metamizol monohydrate in pure and binary solvents at temperatures from(283.15 to 313.15) K显示文摘The thermodynamic properties of metamizol monohydrate in pure solvents(methanol,ethanol,n-propanol and isopropanol) and two binary mixed solvent systems including(methanol+ethanol) and(methanol+isopropanol) were measured from 283.15 K to 313.15 K by gravimetric method under atmospheric pressure thought as 0.1 MPa.The modi fied Apelblat equation,the CNIBS/R-K equation,the Hybrid model and the NRTL model were used to correlate the solubility of metamizol monohydrate,respectively.The results show that the solubility of metamizol monohydrate in all the tested solvents increases with the rising temperature which means that it has temperature dependence.What's more,the effects of solvent components of the binary solvent mixtures on solubility were discussed,it illustrates that the increasing of the molar fraction of methanol gives the system a greater dissolving power.Furthermore,according to the NRTL model,the enthalpy,the Gibbs energy and the entropy of the mixing process were also obtained and discussed.Mingxia Guo Qiuxiang Yin Chang Wang Yaohui Huang Yang Li Zaixiang Zhang Xia Zhang Zhao Wang Meijing Zhang Ling Zhou 2017Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2017,25,10:3
13Terahertz spectral properties of melamine and its deuterated isotope,melamine-d_6显示文摘The far-infrared optical properties of melamine and its deuterated isotope,melamine-d_6 were experimentally and theoretically investigated in the frequency range from 0.2 to 3.0 THz.Under the room temperature and dry air nitrogen conditions,three absorption bands were observed at 2.0,2.3 and 2.6 THz in the melamine sample by use of terahertz time-domain spectroscopy.Whereas,in the melamine-d_6 sample,the observed absorption bands shift towards lower frequencies and the relative intensity of the absorption bands reduces.Numerical simulation results based on the Parameterized Model number 3(PM3) were compared with the experimental data and the observed vibration spectra were assigned according to the PM3 calculations.The absorption bands of the measured melamine samples at terahertz frequencies are highly correlated with the intermolecular hydrogen bond stretching and π-π stacking vibration.Also,the red shift of the absorption bands is due to hydrogen/deuterium substitution.HE Mingxia LI Meng TIAN Zhen CAO Wei HAN Jiaguang 2012Nuclear Science and Techniques2012,23,4:3
14Synthesis of nanoscale multilayered ZrN/W coatings by ion beam assisted deposition显示文摘ZrN/W multilayered coatings with different modulation periods at the nanoscale have been synthesized at different N+ beam bombarding energies using IBAD. Various characterization techniques such as XRD, AES, nano indenter and profiler were employed to investigate the influence of modulation period and bombarding energy on microstructure and mechanical properties of the coatings. The results showed that all superlattice coatings had better mechanical properties than the monolithic ZrN and W coatings. At an optimal condition with 300 eV N+ beam bombarding energy and 8―9 nm modulation period, XRD pattern possessed a sig- nificantly structural mixture of strong ZrN (111), W (110), as well as weak ZrN (220) textures in the multilayered coating. 15Effects of Carbonation and Freeze-thaw Cycles on Microstructure of Concrete显示文摘The hydraulic concrete durability under the alternation of freeze-thaw and carbonation has been systematically investigated in this work, where both the micro part and the microscopic characteristics of concrete interface were analyzed based on computed tomography(CT) test and scanning electron microscopy(SEM). Average CT numbers of each section, declined at water-cement ratio of 0.35, increased at 0.45, and changed a little at 0.55. The specimen in the absence of fly ash exhibited less types of hydration products and the surface was observed to be a needle-like ettringite, with a relatively dense overall structure. However, with the increase of fly ash content, pores and micro-cracks of specimen structure increased. Hexagonal flake calcium hydroxide, present in the specimen after the first carbonation, was negligible in the test pieces of the first freezethaw where the main hydration products were ettringite and calcium silicate gel. 18Heterologous expression of Hp BHY and Cr BKT increases heat tolerance in Physcomitrella patens显示文摘Heat stress can restrict plant growth,development,and crop yield.As essential plant antioxidants,carotenoids play significant roles in plant stress resistance.b-carotene hydroxylase(BHY)and b-carotene ketolase(BKT),which catalyze the conversions of b-carotene to zeaxanthin and b-carotene to canthaxanthin,respectively,are key enzymes in the carotenoid biosynthetic pathway,but little is known about their potential functions in stress resistance.Here,we investigated the roles of b-carotene hydroxylase and b-carotene ketolase during heat stress in Physcomitrella patens through expressing a b-carotene ketolase gene from Chlamydomonas reinhardtii(Cr BKT)and a b-carotene hydroxylase gene from Haematococcus pluvialis(Hp BHY)in the moss P.patens.In transgenic moss expressing these genes,carotenoids content increased(especially lutein content),and heat stress tolerance increased,with reduced leafy tissue necrosis.To investigate the mechanism of this heat stress resistance,we measured various physiological indicators and found a lower malondialdehyde level,higher peroxidase and superoxide dismutase activities,and higher endogenous abscisic acid and salicylate content in the transgenic plants in response to high-temperature stress.These results demonstrate that Cr BKT and Hp BHY increase plant heat stress resistance through the antioxidant and damage repair metabolism,which is related to abscisic acid and salicylate signaling.Jianfang He Ping Li Heqiang Huo Lina Liu Ting Tang Mingxia He Junchao Huang Li Liu 2019Plant Diversity2019,41,4:2
19Establishment of NOD/SCID mouse models of human hepatocellular carcinoma via subcutaneous transplantation of histologically intact tumor tissue显示文摘Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most deadly human cancers, but it is very difficult to establish an animal model by using surgical specimens. In the present experiment, histologically intact fresh surgical specimens of HCC were subcutaneously transplanted in non-obese diabetic/severe combined immunodeficienccy (NOD/SCID) mice. The biological characteristics of the original and the corresponding transplanted tumors and cell lines were investigated. The results showed that 5 new animal models and 2 primary cell lines were successfully established from surgical specimens. Hematoxylin-eosin staining showed that xenografts retained major histological features of the original surgical specimens. The two new cell lines had been cultivated for 3 years and successively passaged for more than 100 passages in vitro. The morphological characteristics and biologic features of the two cell lines were genetically similar to the original tumor. 20Loss of hnRNP A1 in murine skeletal muscle exacerbates high-fat diet-induced onset of insulin resistance and hepatic steatosis显示文摘Impairment of glucose(Glu)uptake and storage by skeletal muscle is a prime risk factor for the development of metabolic diseases.Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein A1(hnRNP Al)is a highly abundant RNA-binding protein that has been implicated in diverse cellular functions.The aim of this study was to investigate the function of hnRNP A1 on muscle tissue insulin sensitivity and systemic Glu homeostasis.Our results showed that conditional deletion of hnRNP Al in the muscle gave rise to a severe insulin resistance phenotype in mice fed a high-fat diet(HFD).Conditional knockout mice fed a HFD showed exacerbated obesity,insulin resistance,and hepatic steatosis.In vitro interference of hnRNP Al in C2C12 myotubes impaired insulin signal transduction and inhibited Glu uptake,whereas hnRNP Al overexpression in C2C12 myotubes protected against insulin resistance induced by supraphysiological concentrations of insulin.The expression and stability of glycogen synthase(gysl)mRNA were also decreased in the absence of hnRNP A l.Mechanistically,hnRNP Al interacted with gys l and stabilized its mRNA,thereby promoting glycogen synthesis and maintaining the insulin sensitivity in muscle tissue.Taken together,our findings are the first to show that reduced expression of hnRNP Al in skeletal muscle affects the metabolic properties and systemic insulin sensitivity by inhibiting glycogen synthesis.Mingxia Zhao Lihong Shen Zijun Ouyang Manru Li Guoliang Deng Chenxi Yang Wei Zheng Lingdong Kong Xuefeng Wu Xudong Wu Wenjie Guo Ye Yin Qiang Xu Yang Sun 2020Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2020,12,4:2
