1Preliminary Validation of High Performance Liquid Chromatography Method for Detection of Methyl-testosterone Residue in Carp Muscle显示文摘The use of synthetic anabolic steroid methyltestosterone (MT) as growth promoter is prohibited in China. Vali-dations of analytical methods for MT residue in food and the results obtained have become indispensable. The high perfor-mance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method for the detection of MT with liquid-liquid extraction by trichloromethane-methanol in carp muscle tissue was preliminarily validated with reference to the following parameters: recovery (accuracy)at the 1, 5 and 10mg kg-1 level, between-run and within-run CV values (repeatability, also called relative standard deviation(RSD)) and limit of detection. The recoveries were above 80% and the between-run and within-run CV values below 10%for muscle tissue. 2Self-supported high-entropy alloy electrocatalyst for highly efficient H_(2) evolution in acid condition显示文摘Developing non-precious catalysts as Pt substitutes for electrochemical hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)with superior stability in acidic electrolyte is of critical importance for large-scale,low-cost hydrogen production from water.Herein,we report a CoCrFeNiAl high-entropy alloy(HEA)electrocatalyst with self-supported structure synthesized by mechanical alloying and spark plasma sintering(SPS)consolidation.The HEA after HF treatment and in situ electrochemical activation for 4000 cycles of cyclic voltammetry(HF-HEAa2)presents favourable activity with overpotential of 73 mV to reach a current density of 10 mA cm^(2) and a Tafel slope of 39.7 mV dec1.The alloy effect of Al/Cr with Co/Fe/Ni at atomic level,high-temperature crystallization,as well as consolidation by SPS endow CoCrFeNiAl HEA with high stability in 0.5 M H2SO4 solution.The superior performance of HF-HEAa2 is related with the presence of metal hydroxides/oxides groups on HEA.Peiyan Ma Mingming Zhao Long Zhang Heng Wang Junfeng Gu Yuchen Sun Wei Ji Zhengyi Fu 2020Journal of Materiomics2020,6,4:8
3Sheep manure application increases soil exchangeable base cations in a semi-arid steppe of Inner Mongolia显示文摘The long-term productivity of a soil is greatly influenced by cation exchange capacity(CEC).Moreover,interactions between dominant base cations and other nutrients are important for the health and stability of grassland ecosystems.Soil exchangeable base cations and cation ratios were examined in a 11-year experiment with sheep manure application rates 0–1,500 g/(m2?a) in a semi-arid steppe in Inner Mongolia of China,aiming to clarify the relationships of base cations with soil p H,buffer capacity and fertility.Results showed that CEC and contents of exchangeable calcium(Ca2+),magnesium(Mg2+),potassium(K+) and sodium(Na+) were significantly increased,and Ca2+ saturation tended to decrease,while K+ saturation tended to increase with the increases of sheep manure application rates.The Ca2+/Mg2+ and Ca2+/K+ ratios decreased,while Mg2+,K+ and Na+ saturations increased with increasing manure application rates.Both base cations and CEC were significantly and positively correlated with soil organic carbon(SOC) and soil p H.The increases of SOC and soil p H would be the dominant factors that contribute to the increase of cations in soil.On a comparison with the initial soil p H before the experiment,we deduced that sheep manure application could partly buffer soil p H decrease potentially induced by atmospheric deposition of nitrogen and sulfur.Our results indicate that sheep manure application is beneficial to the maintenance of base cations and the buffering of soil acidification,and therefore can improve soil fertility in the semi-arid steppes of northeastern China.YuGe ZHANG Shan YANG MingMing FU JiangPing CAI YongYong ZHANG RuZhen WANG ZhuWen XU YongFei BAI Yong JIANG 2015Journal of Arid Land2015,7,3:7

8Oxygen intercalation under hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN)on Pt(111)显示文摘The interface between a two-dimensional(2D)atomic crystal and a metal surface can be regarded as a nanoreactor, in which molecule adsorption and catalytic reactions may occur. In this work, we demonstrate that oxygen intercalation and desorption occur at the interface between hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN) overlayer and Pt(111) surface by using near-ambient pressure X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(NAP-XPS), photoemission electron microscopy, and low-energy electron microscopy.Furthermore, CO oxidation under the h-BN cover was also observed by NAP-XPS. 9Citron C-05 inhibits both the penetration and colonization of Xanthomonas citri subsp.citri to achieve resistance to citrus canker disease显示文摘Citrus canker,caused by Xanthomonas citri subsp.citri(Xcc),is a serious bacterial disease that affects citrus production worldwide.Citron C-05(Citrus medica)is the only germplasm in the Citrus genus that has been identified to exhibit strong resistance to Xcc.However,it has not been determined when,where,and how Xcc is restricted in the tissues of Citron C-05 during the infection process.In the present study,we investigated the spatiotemporal growth dynamics of an eGFP-labeled virulent Xcc(eGFP-Xcc)strain in Citron C-05 along with five susceptible biotypes(i.e.,lemon,pummelo,sour orange,sweet orange,and ponkan mandarin)upon inoculation via the spraying or leaf infiltration of a bacterial suspension.The results from extensive confocal laser scanning microscopy analyses showed that while Xcc grew rapidly in plants of all five susceptible genotypes,Xcc was severely restricted in the epidermal and mesophyll cell layers of the leaves of Citron C-05 in the early stage of infection.Not surprisingly,resistance against Xcc in Citron C-05 was found to be associated with the production of reactive oxygen species and hypersensitive response-like cell death,as well as greater upregulation of several defense-related genes,including a pathogenesis-related gene(PR1)and a glutathione S-transferase gene(GST1),compared with sweet orange as a susceptible control.Taken together,our results not only provide further valuable details of the spatiotemporal dynamics of the host entry,propagation,and spread of Xcc in both resistant and susceptible citrus plants but also suggest that resistance to Xcc in Citron C-05 may be attributed to the activation of multiple defense mechanisms.Hongyan Fu Mingming Zhao Jing Xu Limei Tan Jian Han Dazhi Li Meijun Wang Shunyuan Xiao Xianfeng Ma Ziniu Deng 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:2

13Drug-induced hierarchical self-assembly of poly(amino acid)for efficient intracellular drug delivery显示文摘As a potent anticancer drug,gambogic acid(GA)suffers from its poor water solubility and low chemical stability and shows a limited clinical outcome.To address this problem,we report here a simple and effective strategy to immobilize and deliver GA using a reducible diblock poly(amino acid)as a model.The electrostatic interaction between GA and polymer enables a high drug loading content up to 53.6%.Moreover,the drug complexation induces a micelle-to-vesicle transformation,combined with a conformation tra nsition from random coil to a-helix.The hierarchically assembled drug nanocomplexes can serve as a smart carrier for efficient cell internalization and triggered release of multiple drugs under intracellular acidic and reductive conditions,resulting in a synergistic antitumor efficacy in vitro.This work provides a new insight into the drug-carrier interaction and a facile nanoplatform for drug delivery applications.Zifen Li Yanxue Yang Chuan Peng Hang Liu Rui Yang Yi Zheng Lulu Cai Hong Tan Qiang Fu Mingming Ding 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,4:1

18Photosynthetic and water-related physiological characteristics of Periploca sepium in response to changing soil water conditions in a shell sand habitat显示文摘This study was performed to observe the effects of water on photosynthesis and water-related physiology in dominant shrubs in shell sand habitats.Four-year-old Periploca sepium seedlings were used as model species.A gradient of 12 water levels was established by artificially supplying the shell sand with water up to saturation and then allowing natural evapotranspiration to occur.The photo synthetic,chlorophyll fluorescence and stem sap flow parameters of P.sepium were measured under a range of water conditions.The different soil water conditions were classified according to the responses of these parameters.(1)With the increase in the relative water content(RWC)of the shell sand,the parameters of leaf photosynthesis,chlorophyll fluorescence and water-related physiology in P.sepium showed significant critical responses.The net photo synthetic rate(Pn),transpiration rate(Tr),instantaneous water use efficiency(WUE),potential water use efficiency(WUEi),maximum photochemical efficiency(Fv/Fm),actual photochemical efficiency(ΦPSII)and daily accumulation of stem sap flow all increased first and then decreased with increasing RWC,but the corresponding water conditions associated with their maximum values were not the same.An RWC of 69.40%was determined to be the optimal water condition for photosynthesis and water-related physiological activity in P.sepium.At an RWC of 36.61%,the mechanism of photosynthetic inhibition in P.sepium changed from stomatal limitation to nonstomatal limitation;this was also the minimum water requirement for maintaining normal photo synthetic processes.An RWC of 50.27%resulted in the highest WUE in P.sepium,indicating that moderate drought stress increased WUE.(2)Based on the quantitative relationship between the photo synthetic parameters of P.sepium and the shell sand water gradient,the soil water availability was classified into 6 water grades.The RWC range for maintaining strong photosynthesis and high WUE in P.sepium was 63.22-69.98%.(3)Gas exchange in P.sepium was inhibited under drought and waterlogging stresses.Under these conditions,the photosynthetic electron transport chain was blocked,and the dissipation of light energy as heat increased,which ultimately led to a decline in photo synthetic productivity;moreover,transpiration and dissipation were aggravated,and water transmission and utilization processes in P.sepium were hindered.A significant negative feedback regulation mechanism in the photosynthetic and water-related physiological processes of P.sepium was observed;this mechanism allowed P.sepium growing in shell sand to be highly adaptable to water stress.Xiao Wang Jiangbao Xia Ximei Zhao Mingming Dong Xianshuang Xing Ying Fang Qinqin Fu Zhaohua Lu 2023Journal of Forestry Research2023,34,2:0
19Roles of effective stabilizers in improving oral bioavailability of naringenin nanocrystals:Maintenance of supersaturation generated upon dissolution by inhibition of drug dimerization显示文摘Nanocrystals(NCs),a colloidal dispersion system formulated with stabilizers,have attracted widespread interest due to their ability to effectively improve the oral bioavailability of poorly water-soluble drugs.The stabilizer plays a key role because it can affect the physical stability and even the oral bioavailability of NCs.However,how stabilizers affect the bioavailability of NCs remains unknown.In this study,F68,F127,HPMC,and PVP were each used as a stabilizer to formulate naringenin NCs.The NCs formulated with PVP exhibited excellent release behaviors,cellular uptake,permeability,oral bioavailability,and anti-inflammatory effects.The underlying mechanism is that PVP effectively inhibits the formation of naringenin dimer,which in turn improves the physical stability of the supersaturated solution generated when NC is dissolved.This finding provides insights into the effects of stabilizers on the in vivo performances of NCs and supplies valuable knowledge for the development of poorly water-soluble drugs.Guangshuai Zhang Haishan Guan Jianfeng Li Mo Li Xiaofan Sui Baocheng Tian Huiming Dong Bingyang Liu Zhonggui He Ning Li Mingming Zhao Qiang Fu 2022Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2022,17,5:0
