Genome-wide identification, expression analysis of auxin-responsive GH_3 family genes in maize(Zea mays L.) under abiotic stresses显示文摘Auxin is involved in different aspects of plant growth and development by regulating the expression of auxinresponsive family genes. As one of the three major auxinresponsive families, GH3(Gretchen Hagen3) genes participate in auxin homeostasis by catalyzing auxin conjugation and bounding free indole-3-acetic acid(IAA) to amino acids. However, how GH3 genes function in responses to abiotic stresses and various hormones in maize is largely unknown. Here, the latest updated maize(Zea mays L.) reference genome sequence was used to characterize and analyze the Zm GH3 family genes from maize. The results showed that 13 Zm GH3 genes were mapped on fi ve maize chromosomes(total10 chromosomes). Highly diversi fi ed gene structures and tissue-speci fi c expression patterns suggested the possibility of function diversi fi cation for these genes in response to environmental stresses and hormone stimuli. The expression patterns of Zm GH3 genes are responsive to several abiotic stresses(salt, drought and cadmium) and major stress-relatedhormones(abscisic acid, salicylic acid and jasmonic acid)Various environmental factors suppress auxin free IAA contents in maize roots suggesting that these abiotic stresses and hormones might alter GH3-mediated auxin levels. The respon siveness of Zm GH3 genes to a wide range of abiotic stresses and stress-related hormones suggested that Zm GH3 s are involved in maize tolerance to environmental stresses. | Shangguo Feng Runqing Yue Sun Tao Yanjun Yang Lei Zhang Mingfeng Xu Huizhong Wang Chenjia Shen | 2015 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2015,57,9: | 17

Serpentinization, abiogenic organic compounds, and deep life显示文摘The hydrocarbons and other organic compounds generated through abiogenic or inorganic processes are closely related to two science subjects,i.e.,energy resources and life’s origin and evolution.'The earth’s primordial abiogenic hydrocarbon theory'and'the serpentinization of abiogenic hydrocarbon theory'are the two mainstream theories in the field of related studies.Serpentinization generally occurs in slow expanding mid-ocean ridges and continental ophiolites tectonic environment, etc. The abiogenic hydrocarbons and other organic compounds formed through the serpentinization of ultramafic rocks provide energy and raw materials to support chemosynthetic microbial communities, which probably was the most important hydration reaction for the origin and early evolution of life. The superposition of biological and abiological processes creates big challenge to the identification of the abiogenic organic materials in serpentinite-hosted ecosystem.Whether abiotic(inorganic)process can form oil and gas resource is a difficult question that has been explored continuously by scientific community for more than a century but has not yet been solved. However, some important progress has been made. The prospecting practice of abiogenic hydrocarbons in commercial gases from the Songliao Basin,China, provides an important example for exploring abiogenic natural gas resources. | WANG XianBin OUYANG ZiYuan ZHUO ShengGuang ZHANG MingFeng ZHENG GuoDong WANG YongLi | 2014 | Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,5: | 11
Effects of miR-219/miR-338 on microglia and astrocyte behaviors and astrocyte-oligodendrocyte precursor cell interactions显示文摘MiR-219 and miR-338(miR-219/miR-338)are oligodendrocyte-specific microRNAs.The overexpression of these miRs in oligodendrocyte precursor cells promotes their differentiation and maturation into oligodendrocytes, which may enhance axonal remyelination after nerve injuries in the central nervous system(CNS).As such, the delivery of miR-219/miR-338 to the CNS to promote oligodendrocyte precursor cell differentiation, maturation and myelination could be a promising approach for nerve repair. However, nerve injuries in the CNS also involve other cell types, such as microglia and astrocytes.Herein,we investigated the effects of miR-219/miR-338 treatment on microglia and astrocytes in vitro and in vivo.We found that miR-219/miR-338 diminished microglial expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines and suppressed astrocyte activation. In addition,we showed that miR-219/miR-338 enhanced oligodendrocyte precursor cell differentiation and maturation in a scratch assay paradigm that re-created a nerve injury condition in vitro.Collectively, our results suggest miR-219/miR-338 as a promising treatment for axonal remyelination in the CNS following nerve injuries. All experimental procedures were approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee(IACUC),Nanyang Technological University(approval No.A0309 and A0333)on April 27,2016 and October 8,2016. | Lan Huong Nguyen William Ong Kai Wang Mingfeng Wang Dean Nizetic Sing Yian Chew | 2020 | Neural Regeneration Research2020,15,4: | 11
Angle Dependence Analysis Method to Determine SNRArc Applied to GNSSMRSea Level Retrieval显示文摘The Global Navigation Satellite Systems(GNSS)broadcast radio signals are continuously at two or more frequencies in the L-band,and the multipath signals from sea surface recorded by off-the-shelf geodetic receivers have been demonstrated they can be used to estimate sea level, using a technology called GNSS multipath reflectometry(GNSS-MR).Before proceeding to estimate reflection parameters, the azimuth range and elevation angle range are needed to be defined,as only with suitable azimuths and elevation angles the sensing zones can be guaranteed on water. So,this study presents an angle dependence analysis method to jointly select the azimuth range and elevation angle range based on wavelet analysis which can describe the nonstationary power of different sinusoidal oscillations changed with elevation angle. The key of this method is to use one grid model to screen the spectrum power of multipath oscillation on different elevation angles and azimuths in this work. Then the elevation angles and the azimuths can be determined by searching grids with greater power. The GPS and GLONASS data of two MultiGNSS Experiment(MGEX)stations named BRST and MAYG was analyzed and used to retrieve.Firstly, the angle dependence analysis was carried out to determine the elevation range and azimuth range.Secondly, the sea levels were retrieved from individual signals. Finally, the retrievals of individual signals are combined to form a 10-min sea level retrieval series. The RMSEs of the combined retrievals are both less than 15 cm.The results show the effectiveness of the selection of angle range based on the angle dependence analysis method. | Xiaolei WANG Xiufeng HE Qin ZHANG Mingfeng SONG Zijin NIU | 2021 | Journal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science2021,4,2: | 6
Cooperation of PprI and DrRRA in response to extreme ionizing radiation in Deinococcus radiodurans显示文摘Deinococcus radiodurans possesses extreme resistance to ionizing radiation, and has been engineered for the remediation of toxic components in radioactive environments. We have previously shown that PprI(also named IrrE)and DrRRA are essential for the DNA protection and repair pathways that respond to ionizing radiation stress in this species. Here,we investigated the combined roles of PprI and DrRRA in resistance to gamma radiation(800 Gy).The double mutant,△drRRA△pprI,was more sensitive to gamma rays than either△drRRA or△pprI single mutants, and exhibited an elevated level of intracellular protein carbonylation,an extended delay in genome reconstitution and reduced transcriptional levels of certain DNA protection and repair proteins, such as kat, sod, recA and pprA.Interestingly, the induction of DrRRA by ionizing radiation was partially inhibited by the deletion of pprI. Taken together, these results suggest that DrRRA and PprI might have collaborative roles in the response of D.radiodurans to extreme ionizing radiation. | WANG LiangYan YIN LongFei XU GuangZhi LI MingFeng ZHANG Hui TIAN Bin HUA YueJin | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,1: | 6
Decadal co-variability of the summer surface air temperature and soil moisture in China under global warming显示文摘The self-calibrating Palmer Drought Severity Index (PDSI) is calculated using newly updated ground observations of monthly surface air temperature (SAT) and precipitation in China. The co-variabilities of PDSI and SAT are examined for summer for the period 1961-2004. The results show that there exist decadal climate co-variabilities and strong nonlinear interactions between SAT and soil moisture in many regions of China. Some of the co-variabilities can be linked to global warming. In summer,sig-nificant decadal co-variabilities from cool-wet to warm-dry conditions are found in the east region of Northwest China,North China, and Northeast China. An important finding is that in the west region of Northwest China and Southeast China, pronounced decadal co-variabilities take place from warm-dry to cool-wet conditions. Because significant warming was observed over most areas of the global land surface during the past 20-30 years, the shift to cool-wet conditions is a unique phenomenon which may deserve much scientific attention. The nonlinear interactions between SAT and soil moisture may partly account for the observed decadal co-variabilities. It is shown that anomalies of SAT will greatly affect the climatic co-variabilities,and changes of SAT may bring notable influence on the PDSI in China. These results provide observational evidence for increasing risks of decadal drought and wet-ness as anthropogenic global warming progresses. | SU MingFeng WANG HuiJun | 2007 | Chinese Science Bulletin2007,52,11: | 5
Discrimination of False Negative Results in RT-PCR Detection of SARS-CoV-2 RNAs in Clinical Specimens by Using an Internal Reference显示文摘Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)is an essential method for specific diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 infection.Unfortunately, false negative test results are often reported. In this study,we attempted to determine the principal causes leading to false negative results of RT-PCR detection of SARS-CoV-2 RNAs in respiratory tract specimens.Multiple sputum and throat swab specimens from 161 confirmed COVID-19 patients were tested with a commercialfluorescent RT-PCR kit targeting the ORF1 ab and N regions of SARS-CoV-2 genome. The RNA level of a cellular housekeeping gene ribonuclease P/MRP subunit p30(RPP30)in these specimens was also assessed by RT-PCR.Data for a total of 1052 samples were retrospectively re-analyzed and a strong association between positive results in SARS-CoV-2 RNA tests and high level of RPP30 RNA in respiratory tract specimens was revealed.By using the ROC-AUC analysis,we identified Ct cutoff values for RPP30 RT-PCR which predicted false negative results for SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR with high sensitivity(95.03%–95.26%)and specificity(83.72%–98.55%)for respective combination of specimen type and ampli-fication reaction.Using these Ct cutoff values, false negative results could be reliably identified. Therefore, the presence of cellular materials, likely infected host cells, are essential for correct SARS-CoV-2 RNA detection by RT-PCR in patient specimens.RPP30 could serve as an indicator for cellular content,or a surrogate indicator for specimen quality. In addition, our results demonstrated that false negativity accounted for a vast majority of contradicting results in SARS-CoV-2 RNA test by RT-PCR. | Yafei Zhang Changtai Wang Mingfeng Han Jun Ye Yong Gao Zhongping Liu Tengfei He Tuantuan Li Mengyuan Xu Luping Zhou Guizhou Zou Mengji Lu Zhenhua Zhang | 2020 | Virologica Sinica2020,35,6: | 5

A DFT Study on the Adsorption Behavior of Sulfur and Nitrogen Compounds on the NiMoS Phase显示文摘The density functional theory(DFT)with dispersion corrections was used to study the adsorption behavior of sulfur and nitrogen compounds on NiMoS phase. The calculations were performed based on a hexagonal cluster model including the Mo-edge,the S-edge,and the rarely mentioned corner site.It was found that the adsorption of quinoline is stronger than that of benzothiophene at all the active sites. It indicated the origin of the inhibition effect of nitrogen compounds on HDS.And Ni atoms located around Mo-edge and corner site exhibit higher adsorption selectivity to sulfur compounds than the nitrogen ones.It means that the increase in Ni-promoting effect may weaken the inhibition effect of nitrogen compounds on HDS. | Wang Wei Li Huifeng Han Wei Zhang Le Zhao Xiaoguang Li Mingfeng | 2020 | China Petroleum Processing & Petrochemical Technology2020,22,1: | 5

We use the system in which the transmon qubits are capacitively coupled to a superconducting transmission line resonator driven by a strong microwave field. In our scheme, the phase gate can be realized in a time (nanosecond-scale) much shorter than decoherence time (microsecond-scale), and it is more immune to the 1/f charge noise and has longer dephasing time due to the favorable properties of the transmon qubits in the system. | GAO GuiLong CAI GenChang HUANG.ShouSheng TANG LongYing GU WenJing WANG MingFeng JIANG-NianQuan | 2012 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2012,55,8: | 4 |
Topology Search of 3-DOF Translational Parallel Manipulators with Three Identical Limbs for Leg Mechanisms显示文摘Three-degree of freedom(3-DOF) translational parallel manipulators(TPMs) have been widely studied both in industry and academia in the past decades. However, most architectures of 3-DOF TPMs are created mainly on designers' intuition, empirical knowledge, or associative reasoning and the topology synthesis researches of 3-DOF TPMs are still limited. In order to find out the atlas of designs for 3-DOF TPMs, a topology search is presented for enumeration of 3-DOF TPMs whose limbs can be modeled as 5-DOF serial chains. The proposed topology search of 3-DOF TPMs is aimed to overcome the sensitivities of the design solution of a 3-DOF TPM for a LARM leg mechanism in a biped robot. The topology search, which is based on the concept of generation and specialization in graph theory, is reported as a step-by-step procedure with desired specifications, principle and rules of generalization, design requirements and constraints, and algorithm of number synthesis. In order to obtain new feasible designs for a chosen example and to limit the search domain under general considerations, one topological generalized kinematic chain is chosen to be specialized. An atlas of new feasible designs is obtained and analyzed for a specific solution as leg mechanisms. The proposed methodology provides a topology search for 3-DOF TPMs for leg mechanisms, but it can be also expanded for other applications and tasks. | WANG Mingfeng CECCARELLI Marco | 2015 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2015,28,4: | 4

2022 Chinese expert consensus and guidelines on clinical management of toxicity in anti-CD19 chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy for B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma显示文摘Adoptive cellular immunotherapy with chimeric antigen receptor(CAR)T cells has emerged as a novel modality for treating relapsed and/or refractory B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma(B-NHL).With increasing approval of CAR T-cell products and advances in CAR T cell therapy,CAR T cells are expected to be used in a growing number of cases. However,CAR T-cell-associated toxicities can be severe or even fatal, thus compromising the survival benefit from this therapy.Standardizing and studying the clinical management of these toxicities are imperative. In contrast to other hematological malignancies, such as acute lymphoblastic leukemia and multiple myeloma,anti-CD19 CAR T-cell-associated toxicities in B-NHL have several distinctive features, most notably local cytokine-release syndrome(CRS).However, previously published guidelines have provided few specific recommendations for the grading and management of toxicities associated with CAR T-cell treatment for B-NHL.Consequently,we developed this consensus for the prevention, recognition, and management of these toxicities,on the basis of published literature regarding the management of anti-CD19 CAR T-cell-associated toxicities and the clinical experience of multiple Chinese institutions. This consensus refines a grading system and classification of CRS in B-NHL and corresponding measures for CRS management, and delineates comprehensive principles and exploratory recommendations for managing anti-CD19 CAR T-cell-associated toxicities in addition to CRS. | Ping Li Yang Liu Yun Liang Jian Bo Sujun Gao Yongxian Hu Yu Hu He Huang Xiaojun Huang Hongmei Jing Xiaoyan Ke Jianyong Li Yuhua Li Qifa Liu Peihua Lu Heng Mei Ting Niu Yongping Song Yuqin Song Liping Su Sanfang Tu Jianxiang Wang Depei Wu Zhao Wang Kailin Xu Zhitao Ying Qingming Yang Yajing Zhang Fengxia Shi Bin Zhang Huilai Zhang Xi Zhang Mingfeng Zhao Weili Zhao Xiangyu Zhao Liang Huang Jun Zhu Wenbin Qian Weidong Han Aibin Liang | 2023 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2023,20,2: | 3
Deoxygenation of methyl laurate to hydrocarbons on silica-supported Ni-Mo phosphides: Effect of calcination temperatures of precursor显示文摘SiO2-supported Ni-Mo bimetallic phosphides were prepared by temperature-programmed reduction(TPR) method from the phosphate precursors calcined at different temperatures. Their properties were characterized by means of ultraviolet-visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy(UV-Vis DRS), H2temperature-programmed reduction(H2-TPR), X-ray diffraction(XRD), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), CO chemisorption, H2 and NH3temperature-programmed desorptions(H2-TPD and NH3-TPD). Their catalytic performances for the deoxygenation of methyl laurate were tested in a fixed-bed reactor. When the precursors were calcined at 400 and 500?C, respectively, Ni Mo P2 phase could be formed apart from Ni2 P and Mo P phases in the prepared C400 and C500 catalysts. However, when the precursors were calcined at600, 700 and 800°C, respectively, only Ni2 P and Mo P phases could be detected in the prepared C600, C700 and C800 catalysts. Also, in C400, C500 and C600 catalysts, Mo atoms were found to be entered in the lattice of Ni2 P phase, but the entering extent became less with the increase of calcination temperature. As the calcination temperature of the precursor increased, the interaction between Ni and Mo in the prepared catalysts decreased, and the phosphide crystallite size tended to increase, subsequently leading to the decrease in the surface metal site density and the acid amount. C600 catalyst showed the highest activity among the tested ones for the deoxygenation of methyl laurate. As the calcination temperature of the precursor increased, the selectivity to C12 hydrocarbons decreased while the selectivity to C11 hydrocarbons tended to increase. This can be mainly attributed to the decreased Ni-Mo interaction and the increased phosphide particle size. In sum, the structure and performance of Ni-Mo bimetallic phosphide catalyst can be tuned by the calcination temperature of precursor. | Zhengyi Pan Rijie Wang Mingfeng Li Yang Chu Jixiang Chen | 2015 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2015,24,1: | 2
Tocilizumab in patients with moderate or severe COVID-19: a randomized, controlled, open-label, multicenter trial显示文摘Tocilizumab has been reported to attenuate the“cytokine storm”in COVID-19 patients. We attempted to verify the effectiveness and safety of tocilizumab therapy in COVID-19 and identify patients most likely to benefit from this treatment. We conducted a randomized,controlled,open-label multicenter trial among COVID-19 patients. The patients were randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive either tocilizumab in addition to standard care or standard care alone. The cure rate, changes of oxygen saturation and interference, and inflammation biomarkers were observed.Thirty-three patients were randomized to the tocilizumab group, and 32 patients to the control group. The cure rate in the tocilizumab group was higher than that in the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant(94.12%vs.87.10%,rate difference 95%CI−7.19%–21.23%,P=0.4133).The improvement in hypoxia for the tocilizumab group was higher from day 4 onward and statistically significant from day 12(P=0.0359).In moderate disease patients with bilateral pulmonary lesions, the hypoxia ameliorated earlier after tocilizumab treatment, and less patients(1/12,8.33%)needed an increase of inhaled oxygen concentration compared with the controls(4/6,66.67%;rate difference 95%CI−99.17%to−17.50%,P=0.0217).No severe adverse events occurred.More mild temporary adverse events were recorded in tocilizumab recipients(20/34,58.82%)than the controls(4/31,12.90%).Tocilizumab can improve hypoxia without unacceptable side effect profile and significant influences on the time virus load becomes negative. For patients with bilateral pulmonary lesions and elevated IL-6 levels, tocilizumab could be recommended to improve outcome. | Dongsheng Wang Binqing Fu Zhen Peng Dongliang Yang Mingfeng Han Min Li Yun Yang Tianjun Yang Liangye Sun Wei Li Wei Shi Xin Yao Yan Ma Fei Xu Xiaojing Wang Jun Chen Daqing Xia Yubei Sun Lin Dong Jumei Wang Xiaoyu Zhu Min Zhang Yonggang Zhou Aijun Pan Xiaowen Hu Xiaodong Mei Haiming Wei Xiaoling Xu | 2021 | Frontiers of Medicine2021,15,3: | 2
Distribution of Asbestos Enterprises and Asbestosis Cases--China, 1997−2019显示文摘What is already known on this topic?Asbestos is classified as a Class I Carcinogen by the International Agency for Research on Cancer(IARC)because exposure causes mesothelioma and lung cancer in addition to asbestosis and plaques. So far, asbestos has been banned in 67 countries, but chrysotile,a commonly encountered form of asbestos,is still widely used in China and most developing countries. Most asbestos-caused cancers are not reported, recorded, and compensated in many countries. What is added by this report?Enterprises manufacturing asbestos products have been migrating from economically developed Eastern China to relatively underdeveloped central and western regions between 2010 and 2019.Asbestosis cases reported in Tianjin,Beijing,Shandong,Xinjiang,Gansu,Qinghai, and Sichuan accounted for a large proportion of the total cases in China, which was inconsistent with the distribution of asbestos-related enterprises(AREs).The reported asbestosis cases versus total pneumoconiosis cases declined from 2.81%to 0.39%from 2006–2017,and this proportion reached 0.69%in 2018.What are the implications for public health practice?Robust occupational and environmental health assessments and reporting are needed to define the epidemiology of asbestos-related lung diseases, and management of using asbestos and existing products containing asbestos need strengthening and follow-up.Enterprises should be encouraged to use safer substitutes and gradually ban asbestos materials in China. | Mingfeng Chen Huanqiang Wang Jianfang Zhang Chen Yu Weidong Liu Yunhao Xu | 2020 | China CDC weekly2020,2,18: | 2
