1Angle Dependence Analysis Method to Determine SNRArc Applied to GNSSMRSea Level Retrieval显示文摘The Global Navigation Satellite Systems(GNSS)broadcast radio signals are continuously at two or more frequencies in the L-band,and the multipath signals from sea surface recorded by off-the-shelf geodetic receivers have been demonstrated they can be used to estimate sea level,using a technology called GNSS multipath reflectometry(GNSS-MR).Before proceeding to estimate reflection parameters,the azimuth range and elevation angle range are needed to be defined,as only with suitable azimuths and elevation angles the sensing zones can be guaranteed on water.So,this study presents an angle dependence analysis method to jointly select the azimuth range and elevation angle range based on wavelet analysis which can describe the nonstationary power of different sinusoidal oscillations changed with elevation angle.The key of this method is to use one grid model to screen the spectrum power of multipath oscillation on different elevation angles and azimuths in this work.Then the elevation angles and the azimuths can be determined by searching grids with greater power.The GPS and GLONASS data of two MultiGNSS Experiment(MGEX)stations named BRST and MAYG was analyzed and used to retrieve.Firstly,the angle dependence analysis was carried out to determine the elevation range and azimuth range.Secondly,the sea levels were retrieved from individual signals.Finally,the retrievals of individual signals are combined to form a 10-min sea level retrieval series.The RMSEs of the combined retrievals are both less than 15 cm.The results show the effectiveness of the selection of angle range based on the angle dependence analysis method.Xiaolei WANG Xiufeng HE Qin ZHANG Mingfeng SONG Zijin NIU 2021Journal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science2021,4,2:6
2Thermodynamics of strange quark matter with the density-dependent bag constant显示文摘The thermodynamics of strange quark matter with density dependent bag constant are studied self-consistently in the framework of the general ensemble theory and the MIT bag model.In our treatment,an additional term is found in the expression of pressure.With the additional term,the zero pressure locates exactly at the lowest energy state,indicating that our treatment is a self-consistently thermodynamic treatment.The self-consistent equations of state of strange quark matter in both the normal and color-flavor-locked phase are derived.They are both softer than the inconsistent ones.Strange stars in both the normal and color-flavor locked phase have smaller masses and radii in our treatment.It is also interesting to find that the energy density at a star surface in our treatment is much higher than that in the inconsistent treatment for both phases.Consequently,the surface properties and the corresponding observational properties of strange stars in our treatment are different from those in the inconsistent treatment.ZHU MingFeng LIU GuangZhou YU Zi XU Yan SONG WenTao 2009Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2009,52,10:3

11SCGN deficiency is a risk factor for autism spectrum disorder显示文摘Autism spectrum disorder(ASD)affects 1-2%of all children and poses a great social and economic challenge for the globe.As a highly heterogeneous neurodevelopmental disorder,the development of its treatment is extremely challenging.Multiple pathways have been linked to the pathogenesis of ASD,including signaling involved in synaptic function,oxytocinergic activities,immune homeostasis,chromatin modifications,and mitochondrial functions.Here,we identify secretagogin(SCGN),a regulator of synaptic transmission,as a new risk gene for ASD.Two heterozygous loss-of-function mutations in SCGN are presented in ASD probands.Deletion of Scgn in zebrafish or mice leads to autism-like behaviors and impairs brain development.Mechanistically,Scgn deficiency disrupts the oxytocin signaling and abnormally activates inflammation in both animal models.Both ASD probands carrying Scgn mutations also show reduced oxytocin levels.Importantly,we demonstrate that the administration of oxytocin and anti-inflammatory drugs can attenuate ASD-associated defects caused by SCGN deficiency.Altogether,we identify a convergence between a potential autism genetic risk factor SCGN,and the pathological deregulation in oxytocinergic signaling and immune responses,providing potential treatment for ASD patients suffering from SCGN deficiency.Our study also indicates that it is critical to identify and stratify ASD patient populations based on their disease mechanisms,which could greatly enhance therapeutic success.Zhe Liu Shuai Tan Lianyu Zhou Li Chen Mingfeng Liu Wang Wang Yingying Tang Qin Yang Sensen Chi Peiyan Jiang Yue Zhang Yonghua Cui Junhong Qin Xiao Hu Shenglong Li Qi Liu Lu Chen Song Li Ezra Burstein Wei Li Xiaohu Zhang Xianming Mo Da Jia 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,2:0
12Antisense oligonucleotide technology can be used to investigate a circular but not linear RNA-mediated function for its encoded gene locus显示文摘As a class of powerful molecular tool,antisense oligonucleotides(ASOs)are not only broadly used in protein and RNA biology,but also a highly selective therapeutic strategy for many diseases.Although the concept that ASO reagents only reduce expression of the targeted gene in a post-transcriptional manner has long been established,the effect and mechanism of ASO reagents on RNA polymerase II(Pol II)transcription are largely unknown.This raised question is particularly important for the appropriate use of ASOs and the valid interpretation of ASO-mediated experiments.In this study,our results show that linear RNA ASO attenuates transcription of nascent transcripts by inducing premature transcription termination which is combinatorially controlled by Integrator,exosome,and Rat1 in Drosophila.However,circular RNA(circRNA)ASO transfection does not affect transcription activity of the encoded gene.These data suggest that the ASO technique can be applied to study a circRNA-mediated but not linear RNA-mediated function for its encoded gene locus.Zhenxing Song Ruirui Jia Mingfeng Tang Fei Xia Haiyang Xu Zhengguo Li Chuan Huang 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,5:0

14The Near-Nuclear Study of Comet Hale Bopp显示文摘The wavelet transform is applied to studying the near nuclear region of Comet Hale Bopp. The transform suppresses the coma background to enhance visibility of coma features such as jets and shells from which apparent expansion speed is measured. Furthermore, two cometary bursts of this comet were found on April 22 and Sept. 10 11. 1996. The latter one coincides with a strong increase in the luminosity in X rays almost at the same time. During the outburst, two globular ejecta were found, and their expanding speeds were about 100m/s.
