1Temperature variation of a thermionic cathode during electron emission显示文摘It is necessary to know the actual temperature of a thermionic cathode that works as the electron source in a microwave tube. It has been found that the temperature of the cathode drops markedly during the thermionic emission. For example, the temperature could fall by about 30oC under a current density of 2.92 A/cm2. Using the molecular thermodynamics, the dependence of the cathode temperature on the emission current density has been obtained. It has been theoretically pointed out that several factors, such as heating model and temperature coefficient of resis-tance of heater, can influence the cathode temperature. These theoretical conclu-sions were supported by the experimental results.LIU YanWen TIAN Hong HAN Yong XU ZhenYing MENG MingFeng ZHANG HongLai 2008Science China(Technological Sciences)2008,51,9:22
2Discrimination of False Negative Results in RT-PCR Detection of SARS-CoV-2 RNAs in Clinical Specimens by Using an Internal Reference显示文摘Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)is an essential method for specific diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 infection.Unfortunately, false negative test results are often reported. In this study,we attempted to determine the principal causes leading to false negative results of RT-PCR detection of SARS-CoV-2 RNAs in respiratory tract specimens.Multiple sputum and throat swab specimens from 161 confirmed COVID-19 patients were tested with a commercialfluorescent RT-PCR kit targeting the ORF1 ab and N regions of SARS-CoV-2 genome. The RNA level of a cellular housekeeping gene ribonuclease P/MRP subunit p30(RPP30)in these specimens was also assessed by RT-PCR.Data for a total of 1052 samples were retrospectively re-analyzed and a strong association between positive results in SARS-CoV-2 RNA tests and high level of RPP30 RNA in respiratory tract specimens was revealed.By using the ROC-AUC analysis,we identified Ct cutoff values for RPP30 RT-PCR which predicted false negative results for SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR with high sensitivity(95.03%–95.26%)and specificity(83.72%–98.55%)for respective combination of specimen type and ampli-fication reaction.Using these Ct cutoff values, false negative results could be reliably identified. Therefore, the presence of cellular materials, likely infected host cells, are essential for correct SARS-CoV-2 RNA detection by RT-PCR in patient specimens.RPP30 could serve as an indicator for cellular content,or a surrogate indicator for specimen quality. In addition, our results demonstrated that false negativity accounted for a vast majority of contradicting results in SARS-CoV-2 RNA test by RT-PCR.Yafei Zhang Changtai Wang Mingfeng Han Jun Ye Yong Gao Zhongping Liu Tengfei He Tuantuan Li Mengyuan Xu Luping Zhou Guizhou Zou Mengji Lu Zhenhua Zhang 2020Virologica Sinica2020,35,6:5
3A DFT Study on the Adsorption Behavior of Sulfur and Nitrogen Compounds on the NiMoS Phase显示文摘The density functional theory(DFT)with dispersion corrections was used to study the adsorption behavior of sulfur and nitrogen compounds on NiMoS phase. The calculations were performed based on a hexagonal cluster model including the Mo-edge,the S-edge,and the rarely mentioned corner site.It was found that the adsorption of quinoline is stronger than that of benzothiophene at all the active sites. It indicated the origin of the inhibition effect of nitrogen compounds on HDS.And Ni atoms located around Mo-edge and corner site exhibit higher adsorption selectivity to sulfur compounds than the nitrogen ones.It means that the increase in Ni-promoting effect may weaken the inhibition effect of nitrogen compounds on HDS.Wang Wei Li Huifeng Han Wei Zhang Le Zhao Xiaoguang Li Mingfeng 2020China Petroleum Processing & Petrochemical Technology2020,22,1:5
42022 Chinese expert consensus and guidelines on clinical management of toxicity in anti-CD19 chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy for B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma显示文摘Adoptive cellular immunotherapy with chimeric antigen receptor(CAR)T cells has emerged as a novel modality for treating relapsed and/or refractory B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma(B-NHL).With increasing approval of CAR T-cell products and advances in CAR T cell therapy,CAR T cells are expected to be used in a growing number of cases. However,CAR T-cell-associated toxicities can be severe or even fatal, thus compromising the survival benefit from this therapy.Standardizing and studying the clinical management of these toxicities are imperative. In contrast to other hematological malignancies, such as acute lymphoblastic leukemia and multiple myeloma,anti-CD19 CAR T-cell-associated toxicities in B-NHL have several distinctive features, most notably local cytokine-release syndrome(CRS).However, previously published guidelines have provided few specific recommendations for the grading and management of toxicities associated with CAR T-cell treatment for B-NHL.Consequently,we developed this consensus for the prevention, recognition, and management of these toxicities,on the basis of published literature regarding the management of anti-CD19 CAR T-cell-associated toxicities and the clinical experience of multiple Chinese institutions. This consensus refines a grading system and classification of CRS in B-NHL and corresponding measures for CRS management, and delineates comprehensive principles and exploratory recommendations for managing anti-CD19 CAR T-cell-associated toxicities in addition to CRS.Ping Li Yang Liu Yun Liang Jian Bo Sujun Gao Yongxian Hu Yu Hu He Huang Xiaojun Huang Hongmei Jing Xiaoyan Ke Jianyong Li Yuhua Li Qifa Liu Peihua Lu Heng Mei Ting Niu Yongping Song Yuqin Song Liping Su Sanfang Tu Jianxiang Wang Depei Wu Zhao Wang Kailin Xu Zhitao Ying Qingming Yang Yajing Zhang Fengxia Shi Bin Zhang Huilai Zhang Xi Zhang Mingfeng Zhao Weili Zhao Xiangyu Zhao Liang Huang Jun Zhu Wenbin Qian Weidong Han Aibin Liang 2023Cancer Biology & Medicine2023,20,2:3
5Tocilizumab in patients with moderate or severe COVID-19: a randomized, controlled, open-label, multicenter trial显示文摘Tocilizumab has been reported to attenuate the“cytokine storm”in COVID-19 patients. We attempted to verify the effectiveness and safety of tocilizumab therapy in COVID-19 and identify patients most likely to benefit from this treatment. We conducted a randomized,controlled,open-label multicenter trial among COVID-19 patients. The patients were randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive either tocilizumab in addition to standard care or standard care alone. The cure rate, changes of oxygen saturation and interference, and inflammation biomarkers were observed.Thirty-three patients were randomized to the tocilizumab group, and 32 patients to the control group. The cure rate in the tocilizumab group was higher than that in the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant(94.12%vs.87.10%,rate difference 95%CI−7.19%–21.23%,P=0.4133).The improvement in hypoxia for the tocilizumab group was higher from day 4 onward and statistically significant from day 12(P=0.0359).In moderate disease patients with bilateral pulmonary lesions, the hypoxia ameliorated earlier after tocilizumab treatment, and less patients(1/12,8.33%)needed an increase of inhaled oxygen concentration compared with the controls(4/6,66.67%;rate difference 95%CI−99.17%to−17.50%,P=0.0217).No severe adverse events occurred.More mild temporary adverse events were recorded in tocilizumab recipients(20/34,58.82%)than the controls(4/31,12.90%).Tocilizumab can improve hypoxia without unacceptable side effect profile and significant influences on the time virus load becomes negative. For patients with bilateral pulmonary lesions and elevated IL-6 levels, tocilizumab could be recommended to improve outcome.Dongsheng Wang Binqing Fu Zhen Peng Dongliang Yang Mingfeng Han Min Li Yun Yang Tianjun Yang Liangye Sun Wei Li Wei Shi Xin Yao Yan Ma Fei Xu Xiaojing Wang Jun Chen Daqing Xia Yubei Sun Lin Dong Jumei Wang Xiaoyu Zhu Min Zhang Yonggang Zhou Aijun Pan Xiaowen Hu Xiaodong Mei Haiming Wei Xiaoling Xu 2021Frontiers of Medicine2021,15,3:2
6Asymptomatic patients and asymptomatic phases of Coronavirus Disease 2019(COVID-19):a population-based surveillance study显示文摘In this population-based study,we identified 307 confirmed COVID-19 cases from massive surveillance, including 129551 individuals screened at fever clinics or returning from Hubei and 3710 close contacts of confirmed COVID-19 patients.Among them,17 patients were asymptomatic at initial clinical assessment. These asymptomatic patients on admission accounted for a small proportion of all patients(5.54%)with relatively weak transmissibility, and the detection rate was 0.35 per 100 close contacts. Moreover, the dynamics of symptoms of the 307 patients showed that the interval from symptom remission to the final negativity of viral nucleic acid was 5.0 days(interquartile range 2.0 to 11.0 days),with 14 patients(4.56%)having re-detectable viral RNA after discharge.Overall;our findings suggested asymptomatic carriers and presymptomatic patients only accounted for a small proportion of COVID-19 patients. Also, the asymptomatic phase during recovery from COVID-19 implied that negativity in viral RNA is necessary as a de-isolation criterion and follow-up is recommended.Xueying Zheng Sihui Luo Yong Sun Mingfeng Han Jian Liu Liangye Sun Liangming Zhang Ping Ling Yu Ding Tengchuan Jin Zhirong Liu Jianping Weng 2020National Science Review2020,7,10:2

9DFT Study of H_2 Dissociation on Mo_xS_y Clusters显示文摘A DFT study of H2 dissociation on a series of Mo x S y clusters was performed, including homolytic and heterolytic dissociation. The preference for the two pathways on these models show much difference, as the Mo coordination number increases, the homolytic dissociation becomes easier, whereas the heterolytic dissociation becomes more difficult. Furthermore, frontier orbital theory was used to analyze the dissociation mechanisms of these two pathways. It was found that the symmetry and energy gap of Mo x S y's HOMO and H2's LUMO are the decisive factors in H2 activation.Wang Wei Zhao Xiaoguang Li Huifeng Zhou Han Li Mingfeng 2015China Petroleum Processing & Petrochemical Technology2015,17,1:1
10A Study on the Coking Sites ofγ-Alumina Surface Using 1-Methylnaphthalene as the Model Reactant显示文摘The support γ-Al_2O_3 was treated with 1-methylnaphthalene as the model reactant by respectively using the chemical static adsorption method and the accelerated coking method to study the coking sites of γ-Al_2O_3 surface. The carbon species formed on γ-Al_2O_3 surface were analyzed by CAT-CS, TG-MS, IR-OH, and Py-IR techniques. The results of characterization by CAT-CS and TG-MS techniques indicated that the carbon species formed during the chemical static adsorption process is mainly composed of the reversibly adsorbed coke precursors with a lowly-condensed state, while that formed after the accelerated coking process is probably related with the irreversibly adsorbed coke deposits with a highlycondensed state. The results of characterization by IR-OH and Py-IR techniques further implied that the formation of the two kinds of carbon species, i.e., coke precursors and coke deposits, are closely related with the basic hydroxyl groups and the strong Lewis acid sites on γ-Al_2O_3 surface. The results lead to a deep insight into the coking mechanism on the alumina surface.Hu Anpeng Han Wei Zhang Le Long Xiangyun Li Mingfeng Nie Hong 2018China Petroleum Processing & Petrochemical Technology2018,20,4:0
11Optimization Study on Regenerative Organic Rankine Cycle(ORC) with Heat Source of Low-Grade Steam显示文摘Aiming at improving the performance of Organic Rankine Cycle(ORC)system with low-grade steam as heat source, this work studied and optimized the main operating parameters of the ORC system. The effects of evapo-ration temperature, superheat degree, condensation temperature and regenerator pinch temperature difference on the system performance were obtained. The optimization for the operating parameters is based on the indicators of specific net power output, waste heat pollution, cycle exergy efficiency, and total UA value(the product of overall heat transfer coefficient and heat transfer area of heat exchanger). The results show that the increase of the evaporation temperature and the superheat degree, and the decrease of the condensation temperature and regenerator pinch temperature difference can improve general system performance but lead to weaker economic performance. The optimal evaporation temperature, superheat degree, condensation temperature and regenerator pinch temperature difference are determined as 139℃,4°C,36°C and 8°C,respectively,reaching net power output of 114.73 kW,exergy efficiency of 37.10%.Besides,it is indicated that the regenerative ORC system can reach 13.6%additional net power output compared to the ORC system without the regenerator.Zhao Wang Su Yan Mingfeng Zhu Wen Zhu Han Zhang Xiang Gou 2022Energy Engineering2022,119,6:0
12Adiabaticity in state preparation for spin squeezing of large atom ensembles显示文摘Spin-squeezed state is a many-body entangled state of great interest for precision measurements.Although the absolute sensitivity at the standard quantum limit is better for a larger atom number, the greater dominance of classical noises over atom projection noise makes it harder to achieve spin squeezing. Here,we show both theoretically and experimentally that adiabatic pulse control of the pump field in state preparation is indispensable to sufficient noise suppression, which is the prerequisite for spin squeezing. This technique is generally applicable to spin-squeezing experiments involving a large ensemble and is thus of significance for quantum metrolog yapplications.SHENCHAO JIN HAN BAO JUNLEI DUAN XINGDA LU MINGFENG WANG KAI-FENG ZHAO HENG SHEN YANHONG XIAO 2021Photonics Research2021,9,11:0
13Epidemiological characteristics and clinical manifestations of pediatric patients with COVID-19 in China: A multicenter retrospective study显示文摘Importance:The Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)global pandemic poses a considerable challenge for pediatricians. Objective:This study aimed to identify the epidemiological characteristics and clinical features of pediatric patients with COVID-19 in China. Methods:This multicenter retrospective study included pediatric patients from 46 hospitals in China, covering 12 provinces and two municipalities.Epidemiological, demographic, clinical, laboratory, treatment, and outcome data were analyzed. Results:In total,211 pediatric patients with COVID-19 were included in this study. The median age was 7.0 years(range:22 days to 18 years).Approximately 16.3%of the patients exhibited asymptomatic infections,23.0%had upper respiratory tract infections, and 60.7%had pneumonia, including two with severe pneumonia and one with critical illness.Approximately 78.7%of the pediatric patients occurred in familial clusters. The most three common symptoms or signs at onset in children with COVID-19 were fever(54.5%),cough(49.3%),and pharyngeal congestion(20.8%).Only 17.6%of the patients presented with decreased lymphocyte count, whereas 13.6%had increased lymphocyte count.Among the patients with pneumonia who exhibited abnormal chest computed tomography findings,18.2%(23/127)of the patients had no other symptoms.Generally, the chest radiographs showed abnormalities that affected both lungs(49.6%);ground-glass opacity(47.2%)was the most common manifestation. The cure and improvement rates were 86.7%(183/211)and 13.3%(28/211),respectively.Only one patient with an underlying condition received invasive mechanical ventilation;none of the patients died.Interpretation:Similar to adults, children of all age groups are susceptible to COVID-19.Fortunately,most pediatric patients have mild symptoms or remain asymptomatic, despite the high incidence of pneumonia.Decreased proportions of white blood cells and lymphocytes are less frequent in children than in adults.Yan Bai Liwei Gao Xianfeng Wang Lili Zhong Jingfeng Li Shenggang Ding Yuejie Zheng Jun Liu Yuxia Cui Lina Wang Mingfeng Han Jun Liu Xinping Jiang Min Jiang Junhua Li Ning Chen Yunxiao Shang Hourong Zhou Yi Xu Gen Lu Xing Chen Jizhi Xu Qihong Fan Yu Tang Jiang Wu Cen Li Xiaoxiang Yang Chunxi Chen Yonghong Yang Gary Wing-Kin Wong Adong Shen Tianyou Wang Runming Jin Baoping Xu Kunling Shen 2021Pediatric Investigation2021,5,3:0
