| 11 | Modeling the impact of awareness programs on the transmission dynamics of dengue and optimal control显示文摘In this work,we first propose a mathematical model to study the impact of awareness programs on dengue transmission.The basic reproduction number Ro is derived.The existence and stability of equilibria are investigated.The uniform persistence is established when Ro is larger than one.Our results suggest that awareness programs have significant impacts on dengue transmission dynamics although they cannot affect Ro.When o is less than one,awareness programs can shorten the prevailing time effectively.When Ro is larger than one,awareness programs may destabilize the unique interior equilibrium and a stable periodic solution appears due to Hopf bifurcation.In particular,we find that the occurrence of Hopf bifurcation depends not only on the intensity of awareness programs but also on the level of Ro.Besides,large fuctuations in the number of infected individuals caused by the stable periodic solution may bring pressure on limited medical resources.Therefore,different from intuitive ideas,blindly increasing the intensity of awareness programs is not necessarily conducive to control the transmission of dengue.The decision-making department should decide to adopt different publicity strategies according to the current level of Ro.Finally,we consider the optimal control problem of the model and find the optimal control strategy corresponding to awareness programs by Pontryagin's Maximum Principle.The results manifest that the optimal control strategy can effectively mitigate the transmission of dengue. | Jingyuan Li Hui Wan Mengfeng Sun | 2023 | International Journal of Biomathematics2023,16,2: | 0 |

| 14 | Up-regulation of miR-1245 by c-myc targets BRCA2 and impairs DNA repair显示文摘BRCA2,a clinical prognostic factor,is significantly up-regulated in mRNA level,while its protein expression is often decreased in sporadic breast cancer.However,how BRCA2 protein expressions are suppressed in these tumors remains unknown.In this study,we demonstrated that miR-1245 directly suppressed BRCA23′-UTR and translation,impaired homologous recombination(HR)-mediated repair,reduced DNA damage-induced Rad51 nuclear foci,and rendered cells hypersensitive to g-irradiation(IR),ul-timately inducing high chromosomal abnormalities in normal breast cells and breast cancer cells.Conversely,inhibiting miR-1245 in breast cancer cells enhanced BRCA2 levels and induced resistance to IR.Furthermore,we demonstrated that c-myc up-regulated miR-1245 expression via direct binding to the miR-1245 promoter,which led to down-regulation of BRCA2 and reduction in HR efficiency.Significantly,miR-1245 levels in primary breast tumors correlated with c-myc overexpression and BRCA2 suppression.These findings uncover a BRCA2 regulatory and signaling pathway in sporadic breast cancer and support a functionally and clinically relevant epigenetic mechanism in cancer pathogenesis. | Libing Song Ting Dai Yingjun Xie Chanjuan Wang Chuyong Lin Zhiqiang Wu Zhe Ying Jueheng Wu Mengfeng Li Jun Li | 2012 | Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2012,4,2: | 0 |
