2Transcranial direct current stimulation in psychiatric disorders显示文摘The interest in non-invasive brain stimulation techniques is increasing in recent years. Among these techniques, transcranial direct current stimulation(t DCS) has been the subject of great interest among researchers because of its easiness to use, low cost, benign profile of side effects and encouraging results of research in the field. This interest has generated several studies and randomized clinical trials, particularly in psychiatry. In this review, we provide a summary of the development of the technique and its mechanism of action as well as a review of the methodological aspects of randomized clinical trials in psychiatry, including studies in affective disorders, schizophrenia, obsessive compulsive disorder, child psychiatry and substance use disorder. Finally,we provide an overview of t DCS use in cognitive enhancement as well as a discussion regarding its clinical use and regulatory and ethical issues. 5DNA end binding activity and Ku70/80 heterodimer expression in human colorectal tumor显示文摘AIM: To determine the DNA binding activity and protein levels of the Ku70/80 heterodimer, the functional mediator of the NHEJ activity, in human colorectal carcinogenesis.METHODS: The Ku70/80 DNA-binding activity was determined by electrophoretic mobility shift assays in 20 colon adenoma and 15 colorectal cancer samples as well as matched normal colonic tissues. Nuclear and cytoplasmic protein expression was determined by immunohistochemistry and Western blot analysis.RESULTS: A statistically significant difference was found in both adenomas and carcinomas as compared to matched normal colonic mucosa (P<0.00). However,changes in binding activity were not homogenous with approximately 50% of the tumors showing a clear increase in the binding activity, 30% displaying a modest increase and 15% showing a decrease of the activity.Tumors, with increased DNA-binding activity, also showed a statistically significant increase in Ku70 and Ku86nuclear expression, as determined by Western blot and immunohistochemical analyses (P<0.001). Cytoplasmic protein expression was found in pathological samples,but not in normal tissues either from tumor patients or from healthy subjects.CONCLUSION: Overall, our DNA-binding activity and protein level are consistent with a substantial activation of the NHEJ pathway in colorectal tumors. 7GO FAIR Brazil:A Challenge for Brazilian Data Science显示文摘The FAIR principles,an acronym for Findable,Accessible,Interoperable and Reusable,are recognised worldwide as key elements for good practice in all data management processes.To understand how the Brazilian scientific community is adhering to these principles,this article reports Brazilian adherence to the GO FAIR initiative through the creation of the GO FAIR Brazil Office and the manner in which they create their implementation networks.To contextualise this understanding,we provide a brief presentation of open data policies in Brazilian research and government,and finally,we describe a model that has been adopted for the GO FAIR Brazil implementation networks.The Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology is responsible for the GO FAIR Brazil Office,which operates in all fields of knowledge and supports thematic implementation networks.Today,GO FAIR Brazil-Health is the first active implementation network in operation,which works in all health domains,serving as a model for other fields like agriculture,nuclear energy,and digital humanities,which are in the process of adherence negotiation.This report demonstrates the strong interest and effort from the Brazilian scientific communities in implementing the FAIR principles in their research data management practices.Luana Sales Patricia Henning Viviane Veiga Maira Murrieta Costa Luis Fernando Sayao Luiz Olavo Bonino da Silva Santos Luis Ferreira Pires 2020Data Intelligence2020,2,1:3
8Clinical outcomes after implantation of a new intrastromal corneal ring with 140-degree of arc in patients with corneal ectasia显示文摘AIM:To evaluate the clinical and tomographic outcomes after implantation of a new intrastromal corneal ring segment(ICRS) with 140-degrees of arc in eyes with corneal ectasia.METHODS:We evaluated patients with corneal ectasia implanted with Ferrara 140° ICRS from April 2010 to February 2015.Outcome measures included preoperative and postoperative corrected distance visual acuity(CDVA),keratometry simulated(K) reading,tomographic astigmatism and asphericity.All patients were evaluated using the Pentacam Scheimpflug system.RESULTS:The study evaluated 58 eyes.The mean followup was 16.81±10.8 mo.The CDVA(logM AR) improved from 0.5±0.20(20/60) to 0.3±0.21(20/40)(P<0.01).The average K reduced from 49.87±7.01 to 47.34±4.90 D(P<0.01).The asphericity changed from-0.60±0.86 to-0.23±0.67 D(P<0.01).The mean preoperative tomographic astigmatism decreased from-8.0±3.45 to-4.53±2.52 D(P<0.01).CONCLUSION:The new ICRS model with 140-degrees of arc effectively improve the visual acuity and reduce the high astigmatism usually found in patients with corneal ectasia.Jordana Sandes Larissa R.S.Stival Marcos Pereira de Avila Paulo Ferrara Guilherme Ferrara Leopoldo Magacho Luana P.N.Araujo Leonardo Torquetti 2018International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2018,11,5:2
9Efficient fully blade-coated perovskite solar cells in air with nanometer-thick bathocuproine buffer layer显示文摘Fully printed perovskite solar cells(PSCs)were fabricated in air with all constituent layers,except for electrodes,deposited by the blade coating technique.The PSCs incorporated,for the first time,a nanometer-thick printed bathocuproine(BCP)hole blocking buffer using blade coating and deposited at relative humidity up to 50%.The PSCs with a p-i-n structure(glass/indium tin oxide(ITO)/poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)polystyrene sulfonate(PEDOT:PSS)/CH_(3)NH_(3)Pbl_(3)/[6,6]-phenyl-C_(61)-butyric acid methyl ester(PCBM)/BCP/Ag)delivered a maximum power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 14.9%on an active area of 0.5 cm^(2)when measured under standard test conditions.The PSCs with a blade coated BCP delivered performance of 10%and 63%higher(in relative terms)than those incorporating a spin coated BCP or without any BCP film,respectively.The atomic force microscopy(AFM)showed that blade coated films were more homogeneous and acted also as a surface planarizer leading to a reduction of roughness which improved BCP/Ag interface lowering charge recombination.The demonstration of 15%efficient devices with all constituent layers,including nanometer-thick BCP(〜10 nm),deposited by blade coating in air,demonstrates a route for industrialization of this technology.Sergio Castro-Hermosa Luana Wouk Izabela Silva Bicalho Luiza de Queiroz Correa Bas de Jong Lucio Cina Thomas M.Brown Diego Bagnis 2021Nano Research2021,14,4:2
10Client-level predictors of treatment engagement,outcome and dropout:moving beyond demographics显示文摘Background Despite the availability of evidence-based treatments for posttraumatic stress disorder(PTSD),significant heterogeneity in the effectiveness of PTSD treatment persists,especially in community settings.Client demographics used to understand this variability in treatment outcome and dropout have yielded mixed results.Despite increasing evidence for the importance of attending to treatment engagement in community settings,few studies have explored client-level predictors.Aim The purpose of this study is to explore client-level predictors of treatment outcome and dropout beyond client demographics,and to identify client-level predictors of treatment engagement in community settings.Method Secondary data analysis was conducted with data collected as part of an implementation-effectiveness hybrid study of cognitive processing therapy(CPT)for PTSD in a diverse community healthcentre.Providers(n=19)treated(n=52)clients as part of their routine clinical care.Non-demographic client-level predictors included barriers to treatment,quality of life,session-level language and employment history assessed at baseline.Treatment engagement included number of weeks in the study,number of sessions with repeated CPT content,number of unique CPT sessions attended,frequency of session attendance and consistency of session attendance.Results Results showed language as a significant predictor of treatment engagement.There were significant differences between Spanish and English-speaking clients,with the former having a tendency to repeat more session content than the latter(β=1.4 sessions,p=0.003),and also less likely to attend treatment frequently(r=0.62,p=0.009)and consistently(r=0.57,p=0.027)if high logistical and financial barriers were endorsed.Irrespective of language,clients who reported high quality of life at baseline were less likely to repeat CPT session content(β=-0.3,p=0.04),and those with increased baseline barriers to treatment had deceleration in PTSD symptom improvement over time(β=-0.62,p<0.05).In terms of treatment engagement moderators impacting treatment outcome,clients who repeated more session content were more likely to complete treatment(0R=1.84,p=0.037).Conclusion Identification of client-level predictors of treatment engagement,outcome and dropout is essential to optimise treatment,particularly in community settings.Soo-jeong Youn Margaret-Anne Mackintosh Shannon Wiltsey Stirman Kay lie A Patrick Yesenia Aguilar Silvan Anna D Bartuska Derri L Shtasel Luana Marques 2019General Psychiatry2019,32,6:2
