1Current Status and Challenge of Pseudorabies Virus Infection in China显示文摘Pseudorabies(PR),also called Aujeszky's disease,is a highly infectious disease caused by pseudorabies virus(PRV).Without specific host tropism,PRV can infect a wide variety of mammals,including pig,sheep,cattle,etc.,thereby causing severe clinical symptoms and acute death.PRV was firstly reported in China in 1950s,while outbreaks of emerging PRV variants have been documented in partial regions since 2011,leading to significant economic losses in swine industry.Although scientists have been devoting to the design of diagnostic approaches and the development of vaccines during the past years,PR remains a vital infectious disease widely prevalent in Chinese pig industry.Especially,its potential threat to human health has also attracted the worldwide attention.In this review,we will provide a summary of current understanding of PRV in China,mainly focusing on PRV history,the existing diagnosis methods,PRV prevalence in pig population and other susceptible mammals,molecular characteristics,and the available vaccines against its infection.Additionally,promising agents including traditional Chinese herbal medicines and novel inhibitors that may be employed to treat this viral infection,are also discussed.Lei Tan Jun Yao Yadi Yang Wei Luo Xiaomin Yuan Lingchen Yang Aibing Wang 2021Virologica Sinica2021,36,4:34
2The mechanism for fuzzy-ball working fluids for controlling & killing lost circulation显示文摘Lost circulation controlling & killing material has been a focused issue since a long time ago.A novel leak resistance fluid with the raw materials such as SDS,SDBS,HES,PAM and proprietary productions has been developed from laboratory.The experiment and application shows that the new leak resistance fluid can plug leaking passage of different sizes simultaneously.Observing with 1000 to 2000 time microscope,it is found that the working liquid contains a kind of spherical material which has the microstructure of 'one core,two layers,and three membranes'.When it is in a static state,the inside of the material looks like an airbag and the outside looks like some fuzzy things which has high gel strength.While when it is in a dynamic state,the fuzzy thing is cut or scattered and flow ability becomes much better.That is the reason why it is called fuzzy-ball.When the diameter or the width of the leak passage is greater than the fuzzy-ball's,the fuzzy-ball accumulates in conical shape to decompose the working fluid pressure of liquid column to achieve blocking;when the diameter or the width of the leak passage is equivalent to the fuzzy-ball's,the fuzzy-ball changes from sphere to oval-shape to increase the resistance to the leak passage and plug the holes;when the diameter or the width of the leak passage is smaller than the fuzzy-ball's,the leaks could be blocked up by the non-permeable membrane formed by the gel of high strength in the working fluid.In these cases,the leak passages of different sizes could be blocked comprehensively.ZHENG LiHui KONG LingChen CAO Yuan WANG HuiYun HE XiaoQing 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,35:12
3Separation and identification of differentially expressed nuclear matrix proteins between human esophageal immortalized and carcinomatous cell lines显示文摘AIM: To separate and identify differentially expressed nuclear matrix proteins (NMPs) between the immortalized human esophageal epithelial cell line (SHEE) and the malignantly transformed esophageal carcinoma cell line (SHEEC), and to provide new ways for finding specific markers and the pathogenesis of esophageal carcinoma.METHODS: SHEE and SHEEC cell lines were used to extract NMPs. The quality of NMPs was monitored by Western blot analysis including DNA topoisomerase Ⅱα, proliferation cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) and histone. NMPs of SHEE and SHEEC were analyzed by two-dimensional electrophoresis (2-DE), silver staining and PDQuest6.2 image analysis software. Three spots in which the differentially expressed NMlPs were more obvious, were selected and analyzed with matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time of flying mass spectrometry (MALDI- TOF-MS) and database search.RESULTS: Western blot analysis revealed that DNA topoisomerase Ⅱα and PCNA were detected, and the majority of histones were deleted in NMPs of SHEE and SHEEC. After 2-DE image analysis by PDQuest6.2 software, the 2-DE maps were detected with an average of 106±7.1 spots in SHEE and 132±5.0 spots in SHEEC. Most of them were matched one another (r=0.72), only 16 protein spots were found differing in intensity. Three NMPs including cytoskeletal tropomyosin,FK506bindingprotein6,similartoretinoblastoma binding protein 8 were preliminarily identified by MALDI- TOF-MS.CONCLUSION: These differentially expressed NMPs may play an important role during malignant transformation from SHEE to SHEEC. 5The desumoylating enzyme sentrin-specific protease 3 contributes to myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury显示文摘Sentrin-specific protease 3(SENP3), a member of the desumoylating enzyme family, is known as a redox sensor and could regulate multiple cellular signaling pathways. However, its implication in myocardial ischemia reperfusion(MIR) injury is unclear. Here, we observed that SENP3 was expressed and upregulated in the mouse heart depending on reactive oxygen species(ROS) production in response to MIR injury. By utilizing si RNA-mediated cardiac specific gene silencing, SENP3 knockdown was demonstrated to significantly reduce MIR-induced infarct size and improve cardiac function. Mechanistic studies indicated that SENP3 silencing ameliorated myocardial apoptosis mainly via suppression of endoplasmic reticulum(ER) stress and mitochondrial-mediated apoptosis pathways. By contrast, adenovirusmediated cardiac SENP3 overexpression significantly exaggerated MIR injury. Further molecular analysis revealed that SENP3 promoted mitochondrial translocation of dynamin-related protein 1(Drp1) in reperfused myocardium. In addition, mitochondrial division inhibitor-1(Mdivi-1), a pharmacological inhibitor of Drp1, significantly attenuated the exaggerated mitochondrial abnormality and cardiac injury by SENP3 overexpression after MIR injury. 6Comparative study on efficacy of three sperm-separation techniques显示文摘Aim: To evaluate the comparative effectiveness of real-time sperm separation technique (Wang's tube method) and other two conventional methods in isolating high-quality sperm preparation, and to compare the spouse pregnancy rate in intrauterine insemination (IUI) with sperm preparations isolated by these methods. Methods: The effectiveness of the real-time sperm separation technique, the conventional swim-up and the Percoll discontinuous density gradient methods in isolating sperm preparations from 60 infertile patients (20 with apparently normal semen and 40, abnormal semen contaminated with microorganisms and other impurities) was evaluated and compared. The microorganisms to bere moved included bacteria, virus, Chlamydia trachomaticum, Ureaplsama urealyticum, etc. The spouse pregnancy rates in IUI with sperm preparations isolated by these three techniques from 80 oligoasthenoteratospermic patients werealso compared. Results: The quality (including the percentages of normal form, normal-chromatin and motilesperm, and the grade of motility) of sperm obtained by the real-time sperm separation technique was much higher ( P<0.01 ) as compared with those by the other two methods. The Wang's tube method was also more effective in removing microorganisms and other impurities. The method provided a higher IUI pregnancy rate than the other two sperm separation techniques ( P < 0.05). 8Strategies to Solve Lithium Battery Thermal Runaway:From Mechanism to Modification显示文摘As the global energy policy gradually shifts from fossil energy to renewable energy,lithium batteries,as important energy storage devices,have a great advantage over other batteries and have attracted widespread attention.With the increasing energy density of lithium batteries,promotion of their safety is urgent.Thermal runaway is an inevitable safety problem in lithium battery research.Therefore,paying attention to the thermal hazards of lithium battery materials and taking corresponding preventive measures are of great significance.In this review,the heat source and thermal hazards of lithium batteries are discussed with an emphasis on the designs,modifications,and improvements to suppress thermal runaway based on the inherent structure of lithium batteries.According to the source of battery heat,we divide it into reversible heat and irreversible heat.Additionally,superfluous heat generation has profound effects,including thermal runaway,capacity loss,and electrical imbalance.Thereafter,we emphatically discuss the design and modification strategies for various battery components(anodes,cathodes,electrolytes,and separators)to suppress thermal runaway.Preparation of solid electrolyte interphase layers with excellent thermal stability and mechanical properties is the core of the modification strategy for anode materials.Additives,stable coatings,elemental substitution,and thermally responsive coating materials are commonly used to improve the safety of cathodes.Novel electrolyte additives,solid-state electrolytes,and thermally stable separators provide a good opportunity to solve the thermal runaway problem of next-generation high-performance electrochemical storage devices.Lingchen Kong Yu Li Wei Feng 2021Electrochemical Energy Reviews2021,4,4:2

12Impact toughness of a gradient hardened layer of Cr5Mo1V steel treated by laser shock peening显示文摘Laser shock peening(LSP) is a widely used surface treatment technique that can effectively improve the fatigue life and impact toughness of metal parts.Cr5Mo1 V steel exhibits a gradient hardened layer after a LSP process.A new method is proposed to estimate the impact toughness that considers the changing mechanical properties in the gradient hardened layer.Assuming a linearly gradient distribution of impact toughness,the parameters controlling the impact toughness of the gradient hardened layer were given.The influence of laser power densities and the number of laser shots on the impact toughness were investigated.The impact toughness of the laser peened layer improves compared with an untreated specimen,and the impact toughness increases with the laser power densities and decreases with the number of laser shots.Through the fracture morphology analysis by a scanning electron microscope,we established that the Cr5Mo1 V steel was fractured by the cleavage fracture mechanism combined with a few dimples.The increase in the impact toughness of the material after LSP is observed because of the decreased dimension and increased fraction of the cleavage fracture in the gradient hardened layer.Weiguang Xia Lei Li Yanpeng Wei Aimin Zhao Yacong Guo Chenguang Huang Hongxiang Yin Lingchen Zhang 2016Acta Mechanica Sinica2016,32,2:1

14Fluorine-Doped Hard Carbon as the Advanced Performance Anode Material of Sodium-Ion Batteries显示文摘F-doping hard carbon(F–HC)was synthesized through a mild fluorination at temperature at relative low temperature as the potential anode for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs).The F-doping treatment to HC expands interlayer distance and creates some defects in the graphitic framework,which has the ability to improve Na+storage capability through the intercalation and pore-filling process a simultaneously.In addition,the electrically conductive semi-ionic C–F bond in F–HC that can be adjusted by the fluorination temperature facilitates electron transport throughout the electrode.Therefore,F–HC exhibits higher specific capability and better cycling stability than pristine HC.Particularly,F–HC fluorinated at 100℃ (F–HC100)delivers the reversible capability of 343 mAh/g at 50 mAh/g,with the Coulombic efficiency of 78.13%,and the capacity retention remains as 95.81%after 100 cycles.Moreover,the specific capacity of F–HC100 returns to 340 mAh/g after the rate capability test demonstrates its stability even at high current density.The enhanced specific capacity of F–HC,especially at low-voltage region,has the great potential as the anode of SIBs with high energy density.Lingchen Kong Yu Li Wei Feng 2022Transactions of Tianjin University2022,28,2:1
