2Water blocking effect caused by the use of hydraulic methods for permeability enhancement in coal seams and methods for its removal显示文摘To research techniques for removing the water blocking effect caused by hydraulic applications in coal seams,the use of surfactants is proposed,based on the mechanics of the water blocking effect.Centrifugal experiments were used to validate the effects of using surfactants;the results show that after dealing with vacuum saturation with water,the volume of micropores decreases,which results in a larger average pore size,and the volume of transitional pores,mesopores,macropores and total pores increases.Based on the distribution of pore size,the operation mode of ‘‘water infusion after gas extraction,then continuing gas extraction' is recommended to improve the volume of coal mine gas drainage.When the reflectance of vitrinite in coal samples is less than 1,using the surfactants Fast T,1631,APG,BS can mitigate the damage caused by the water blocking effect.But when the reflectance of vitrinite is larger than 1.4,the damage caused by the water blocking effect can be increased.When the surfactant CMC is used in hydraulic applications,the capillary forces of coal samples are almost negative,which means the capillary force is in the same direction as the gas extraction.The direction of capillary forces benefits the gas flow.So,using CMC can play an active role in removing the water blocking effect.Centrifugal experiments confirm that using CMC can effectively remove the water blocking effect,which has a beneficial effect on improving the gas drainage volume.Liu Qian Guo Yusen An Fenghua Lin Luyao Lai Yongming 2016International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2016,26,4:8
3Sintilimab versus docetaxel as second-line treatment in advanced or metastatic squamous non-small-cell lung cancer:an open-label,randomized controlled phase 3 trial(ORIENT-3)显示文摘Background:Treatment options for Chinese patients with locally advanced or metastatic squamous-cell non-small-cell lung cancer(sqNSCLC)after failure of first-line chemotherapy are limited.This study(ORIENT-3)aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of sintilimab versus docetaxel as second-line treatment in patients with locally advanced or metastatic sqNSCLC.Methods:ORIENT-3 was an open-label,multicenter,randomized controlled phase 3 trial that recruited patients with stage IIIB/IIIC/IV sqNSCLC after failure with first-line platinum-based chemotherapy.Patients were randomized in a 1:1 ratio to receive either 200 mg of sintilimab or 75 mg/m^(2) of docetaxel intravenously every 3 weeks,stratified by the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status.The primary endpoint was overall survival(OS)in the full analysis set(FAS).Secondary endpoints included progression-free survival(PFS),objective response rate(ORR),disease control rate(DCR),duration of response(DoR)and safety.Results:Between August 25,2017,and November 7,2018,290 patients were randomized.For FAS,10 patients fromthe docetaxel armwere excluded.Themedian OS was 11.79(n=145;95%confidence interval[CI],10.28-15.57)months with sintilimab versus 8.25(n=135;95%CI,6.47-9.82)months with docetaxel(hazard ratio[HR]:0.74;95%CI,0.56-0.96;P=0.025).Sintilimab treatment significantly prolonged PFS(median 4.30 vs.2.79 months;HR:0.52;95%CI,0.39-0.68;P<0.001)and showed higher ORR(25.50%vs.2.20%,P<0.001)and DCR(65.50%vs.37.80%,P<0.001)than the docetaxel arm.The median DoRwas 12.45(95%CI,4.86-25.33)months in the sintilimab arm and 4.14(95%CI,1.41-7.23)months in the docetaxel arm(P=0.045).Treatment-related adverse events of grade≥3were reported in 26(18.1%)patients in the sintilimab arm and 47(36.2%)patients in the docetaxel arm.Exploratory biomarker analysis showed potential predictive values of expression levels of two transcription factors,including OVOL2(HR:0.35;P<0.001)and CTCF(HR:3.50;P<0.001),for sintilimab treatment.Conclusions:Compared with docetaxel,sintilimab significantly improved the OS,PFS,and ORR of Chinese patients with previously treated locally advanced or metastatic sqNSCLC.Yuankai Shi Lin Wu Xinmin Yu Puyuan Xing Yan Wang Jianying Zhou Airong Wang Jianhua Shi Yi Hu Ziping Wang Guangyu An Yong Fang Sanyuan Sun Caicun Zhou Changli Wang Feng Ye Xingya Li Junye Wang Mengzhao Wang Yunpeng Liu Yanqiu Zhao Ying Yuan Jifeng Feng Zhendong Chen Jindong Shi Tao Sun Gang Wu Yongqian Shu Qisen Guo Yi Zhang Yong Song Shucai Zhang Yuan Chen Wei Li Hongrui Niu Wenwei Hu Lijun Wang Jianan Huang Yang Zhang Ying Cheng Zhengdong Wu Bo Peng Jiya Sun Christoph Mancao Yanqi Wang Luyao Sun 2022Cancer Communications2022,42,12:8
4Clinical phenotype of a Chinese patient with RIPK1 deficiency due to novel mutation显示文摘Accumulating evidence indicates that RIPK1 is associated with inflammation and apoptotic.RIPK1 deficiency leads to proinflammatory signaling impaired.However,only few patients with homozygous loss-of-function mutation in RIPK1 gene had been reported until now.Here,we report a Chinese combined immunodeficiency patient.He had recurrent infection,diarrhea after 3 months old.Immune function indicated that T,B and NK cells decreased significantly but immunoglobulins approximately remained normal.Whole-exome sequencing indicated that he had novel compound heterozygous mutations(c.998 C>A from his mother and c.1934 C>T from his father)in RIPK1 gene,which were confirmed by Sanger sequencing.Our study reports novel mutations in RIPK1 gene and new phenotype of patient with RIPK1 deficiency.Li Lin Ying Wang Luyao Liu Wenjing Ying Wenjie Wang Bijun Sun Jinqiao Sun Xiaochuan Wang 2020Genes & Diseases2020,7,1:3

7Development of cell metabolite analysis on microfluidic platform显示文摘Cell metabolite analysis is of great interest to analytical chemists and physiologists, with some metabolites having been identified as important indicators of major diseases such as cancer. A highthroughput and sensitive method for drug metabolite analysis will largely promote the drug discovery industry. The basic barrier of metabolite analysis comes from the interference of complex components in cell biological system and low abundance of target substances. As a powerful tool in biosample analysis,microfluidic chip enhances the sensitivity and throughput by integrating multiple functional units into one chip. In this review, we discussed three critical steps of establishing functional microfluidic platform for cellular metabolism study. Cell in vitro culture model, on chip sample pretreatment, and microchip combined detectors were described in details and demonstrated by works in five years. 9Co-delivery of TRAIL and paclitaxel by fibronectin-targeting liposomal nanodisk for effective lung melanoma metastasis treatment显示文摘Melanoma is a highly aggressive cancer which often forms metastatic tumors in the lung,leading to sharply reduced patients'survival rate.Effectively treating these tumors thus could improve late stage melanoma with lung metastasis.In this study,we fabricated a Cys-Arg-Glu-Lys-Ala with N-methylated Glu(CR(NMe)EKA)decorated disk shaped nano vehicle to co-deliver tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand(TRAIL)and paclitaxel(PTX)to lung melanoma tumor sites(TRAIL-[ND-PTX]^(CR(NMe)EKA)).These nanodisks displayed better tumor-targeting and penetration capability than spherical nanoparticles,while the fibronectin-targeting CR(NMe)EKA motif also increased the tumor accumulation of loaded drugs.The combined usage of TRAIL and PTX both killed tumor cells and reduced local nutrition supply,leading to stronger overall anti-tumor effect.This TRAIL-[ND-PTX]^(CR(NMe)EKA)system performed remarkably better than free paclitaxel and also significantly elongated survival rate of melanoma lung metastasis bearing mice,without displaying significant toxicity.Hence,this designing strategy and the fabricated nanoplatform possess potential for further development.Shiqi Huang Lang Deng Hanming Zhang Luyao Wang Yicong Zhang Qing Lin Tao Gong Xun Sun Zhirong Zhang Ling Zhang 2022Nano Research2022,15,1:1

11Beads-on-string hierarchical structured electrocatalysts for efficient oxygen reduction reaction显示文摘Rational design of hierarchically structured electrocatalysts is particularly important for electrocatalytic oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).Here,ZIF-67 crystals are stringed on core-shell Ag@C nanocables using a coordinationmodulated process.Upon pyrolysis,Ag@C strings of Co nanoparticles embedded with three-dimensional porous carbon with beads-on-string hierarchical structures are developed.Due to the advantages of the rich electrochemical active sites of Co-based“beads”and the efficient electron transfer pathways via Ag@C“strings,”the resultant NH_(3)-Ag@C@Co-N-C-700 catalyst shows an improved electrocatalytic activity toward ORR.NH_(3)-Ag@C@Co-N-C-700 shows a high onset potential of 0.99 V versus RHE,a high half-wave potential of 0.88 V versus RHE,and a large limiting current of 5.8 mA cm^(-2),which are better than those of commercial Pt/C electrocatalysts.Additionally,the NH_(3)-Ag@C@Co-N-C-700 catalyst shows high stability and preeminent methanol tolerance,which makes NH_(3)-Ag@C@Co-N-C-700 a promising catalyst for oxygen electrocatalysis in fuel cell applications.Yang Yuan Qing Zhang Yinling Li Luyao Lv Yan Hou Ge Li Jing Fu Lin Yang Zhengyu Bai 2023Carbon Energy2023,5,2:1
12Antioxidant procyanidin B2 protects oocytes against cryoinjuries via mitochondria regulated cortical tension显示文摘Background:Irreversible cryodamage caused by oocyte vitrification limited its wild application in female fertility preservation.Antioxidants were always used to antagonist the oxidative stress caused by vitrification.However,the comprehensive mechanism underlying the protective role of antioxidants has not been studied.Procyanidin B2(PCB2)is a potent natural antioxidant and its functions in response to vitrification are still unknown.In this study,the effects of PCB2 on vitrified-thawed oocytes and subsequent embryo development were explored,and the mechanisms underlying the protective role of PCB2 were systematically elucidated.Results:Vitrification induced a marked decline in oocyte quality,while PCB2 could improve oocyte viability and further development after parthenogenetic activation.A subsequent study indicated that PCB2 effectively attenuated vitrification-induced oxidative stress,rescued mitochondrial dysfunction,and improved cell viability.Moreover,PCB2 also acts as a cortical tension regulator apart from strong antioxidant properties.Increased cortical tension caused by PCB2 would maintain normal spindle morphology and promote migration,ensure correct meiosis progression and finally reduce the aneuploidy rate in vitrified oocytes.Further study reveals that ATP biosynthesis plays a crucial role in cortical tension regulation,and PCB2 effectively increased the cortical tension through the electron transfer chain pathway.Additionally,PCB2 would elevate the cortical tension in embryo cells at morula and blastocyst stages and further improve blastocyst quality.What's more,targeted metabolomics shows that PCB2 has a beneficial effect on blastocyst formation by mediating saccharides and amino acids metabolism.Conclusions:Antioxidant PCB2 exhibits multi-protective roles in response to vitrification stimuli through mitochondria-mediated cortical tension regulation.Qingrui Zhuan Jun Li Xingzhu Du Luyao Zhang Lin Meng Yuwen Luo Dan Zhou Hongyu Liu Pengcheng Wan Yunpeng Hou Xiangwei Fu 2023Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2023,14,1:0
13Neuromorphic transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation(nTENS)induces efficient tactile-related cortical networks in forearm amputees显示文摘Conventional transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation(cTENS),which uses a modulated square waveform as stimuli,has been generally used in testing and eliciting artificial tactile perception in forearm amputees.However,a novel neuromorphic TENS(nTENS)model based on neural signals has been largely ignored.In this study,we further explore the effect of nTENS patterns to elicit tactile perception in forearm amputees.Four forearm amputees were recruited to test discriminate tactile perception elicited by different TENS patterns with electroencephalography(EEG)recording at the following four stimulated sites:the index finger and the little finger on both phantom and real sides.Finally,we compared the results of cortical networks in six frequency bands at different stimulated sites between forearm amputees and able-bodied subjects.Behavioral results suggested that n TENS patterns required a lower electric charge at each stimulated site than cTENS patterns.And forearm amputees required a higher intensity in each TENS pattern than able-bodied subjects.Moreover,amputees showed a lower clustering coefficient(aCP),global efficiency(aEG),local efficiency(aEL),and a longer path length(aLP)than able-bodied subjects in all six frequency bands when stimulation was accessed.Specifically,the SMU pattern showed a higher functional network efficiency in real fingers than at phantom sites in theta,alpha,and high gamma bands.This study highlighted the characteristics of n TENS patterns in eliciting tactile perception among forearm amputees,which provided insights into evaluating the neural mechanism of tactile information processing in forearm amputees and building tactile perceptual systems for sensory rehabilitation.LIU YaFei LI Bo XI PengCheng LV XiaoDan ZHANG Lin LIU ZhiQiang HUANG Qiang TANG RongYu HE JiPing CHEN LuYao LANG YiRan 2023Science China(Technological Sciences)2023,66,5:0
14Ultra-fast amorphization of crystalline alloys by ultrasonic vibrations显示文摘The amorphization of alloys is of both broad scientific interests and engineering significance.Despite considered as an efficient strategy to regulate and even achieve record-breaking properties of metallic materials,a facile and rapid method to trigger solid-state amorphization is still being pursued.Here we report such a method to utilize ultrasonic vibration to trigger amorphization of intermetallic compound.The ultrasonic vibrations can cause tunable amorphization at room temperature and low stress(2 MPa)conveniently.Remarkably,the ultrasonic-induced amorphization could be achieved in 60 s,which is 360 times faster than the ball milling(2.16×10^(4) s)with the similar proportion of amorphization.The elements redistribute uniformly and rapidly via the activated short-circuit diffusion.Both experimental evidences and simulations show that the amorphous phase initiates and expands at nanograin boundaries,owing to the induction of lattice instability.This work provides a groundbreaking strategy for developing novel materials with tunable structures and properties.Luyao Li Guo-Jian Lyu Hongzhen Li Caitao Fan Wenxin Wen Hongji Lin Bo Huang Sajad Sohrabi Shuai Ren Xiong Liang Yun-Jiang Wang Jiang Ma Weihua Wang 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,11:0
15Assembly of N-and P-functionalized carbon nanostructures derived from precursor-defined ternary copolymers for high-capacity lithiumion batteries显示文摘Synthesis of new carbon nanostructures with tunable properties is vital for precisely regulating electrochemical performance in the wide applications.Herein,we report a novel approach for the oxidative polymerization of N-and P-bearing copolymers from the self-assembly of three different monomers(aniline,pyrrole,and phytic acid),and further prepare the respective carbon nanostructures with relatively consistent N dopant(6.2%–8.0%,atom)and varying P concentrations(0.4%–2.8%,atom)via controllable pyrolysis.The impacts of phytic acid addition on the compositional,structural,and morphological evolution of the copolymers and the resulting nanocarbons are well studied through a spectrum of characterizations including N2 sorption,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,gel permeation chromatograph,scanning/transmission electron microscopy,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.Gradual fragmentation of the nanosphere structures is evidenced with increasing addition of phytic acid,leading to different nanostructures from hollow nanospheres to 3D aggregates.Nanocarbons decorated with N and P dopants from pyrolysis are further utilized as anode materials in lithium-ion batteries,demonstrating enhanced electrochemical performance,i.e.,a reversible capacity of 380 mAhg^(-1)at 2 Ag^(-1)for NPC-0.5 during 200 cycles.The superior performance originates from the balanced porosity,and appropriate concentrations of P and pyrrolic N,thus pointing the direction for designing high-performance anode materials.Luyao Guo Mengru Wang Ronghe Lin Jiaxin Ma Shuanghao Zheng Xiaoling Mou Jun Zhang Zhong-Shuai Wu Yunjie Ding 2023Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2023,53,1:0

17Endocast Morphological Variation and Its Driving Forces in Scutiger boulengeri显示文摘Cranialendocasts canbeusedasareliable proxy for brain size,reflecting the evolutionary and environmental selection pressure of species.Although studies on endocasts in amphibians have increased in recent years,those performed on endocasts of Anura are comparatively rare,especially at the intraspecific level.Here,using a high-altitude endemic toad-Scutiger boulengeri-as a model,through the application of integrative methods(morphology,anatomy,phylogeny,and ecology),we studied intraspecific variations in endocast morphology and explored its driving forces.Three-dimensional reconstruction and the brain-to-endocranial cavity(BEC)index suggested that the endocast of S.boulengeri can reflect brain morphology to a large extent.Elliptic Fourier analysis andprincipal componentanalysis revealedgreat variability in the cranial endocast morphology among individuals,as well as the variation concentrated in the regions of telencephalon and optic tectum.In the species,individuals with large bodies are accompanied by a larger endocast size;the relative endocast sizes have significant cladedifferences but no sexual dimorphism.Additionally,the relative endocast sizes of S.boulengeri were not associated with phylogenetic history and aquatic preference but were positively correlated with altitude and negatively correlated with oxygen content,temperature,and precipitation factors(annual mean temperature,temperature seasonality,annual precipitation,and precipitation seasonality).Thesefindings suggested that high-altitude and extreme environmental conditions acted as important selectiveforces in morphological variation of the cranial endocastof S.boulengeri.Yinmeng HOU Xiaoxiao SHU Shengchao SHI Xiuqin LIN Luyao XIAO Jianping JIANG Jianghong RAN Feng XIE 2022Asian Herpetological Research2022,13,4:0
