1Ultrafast epitaxial growth of metre-sized single-crystal graphene on industrial Cu foil显示文摘A foundation of the modern technology that uses single-crystal silicon has been the growth of highquality single-crystal Si ingots with diameters up to 12 inches or larger. For many applications of graphene, large-area high-quality(ideally of single-crystal) material will be enabling. Since the first growth on copper foil a decade ago, inch-sized single-crystal graphene has been achieved. We present here the growth, in 20 min, of a graphene film of(5 ×50) cm^2 dimension with >99% ultra-highly oriented grains.This growth was achieved by:(1) synthesis of metre-sized single-crystal Cu(1 1 1) foil as substrate;(2)epitaxial growth of graphene islands on the Cu(1 1 1) surface;(3) seamless merging of such graphene islands into a graphene film with high single crystallinity and(4) the ultrafast growth of graphene film.These achievements were realized by a temperature-gradient-driven annealing technique to produce single-crystal Cu(1 1 1) from industrial polycrystalline Cu foil and the marvellous effects of a continuous oxygen supply from an adjacent oxide. The as-synthesized graphene film, with very few misoriented grains(if any), has a mobility up to ~23,000 cm^2 V^(-1)s^(-1)at 4 K and room temperature sheet resistance of ~230 Ω/□. 4Detection and characterization of diverse alpha-and betacoronaviruses from bats in China显示文摘Bats have been implicated as important reservoir hosts of alpha- and betacoronaviruses. In this study, diverse coronaviruses(CoVs) were detected in 50 of 951(positive rate 5.3%) intestinal specimens of eight bat species collected in four provinces and the Tibet Autonomous Region of China by pan-coronavirus RT-PCR screening. Based on 400-nt RNA-dependent RNA polymerase(Rd RP) sequence analysis, eight belonged to genus Alphacoronavirus and 42 to Betacoronavirus.Among the 50 positive specimens, thirteen gave rise to CoV full-length Rd RP gene amplification for further sequence comparison, of which three divergent sequences(two from a unreported province) were subjected to full genome sequencing. Two complete genomes of betacoronaviruses(JTMC15 and JPDB144) and one nearly-complete genome of alphacoronavirus(JTAC2) were sequenced and their genomic organization predicted. The present study has identified additional numbers of genetically diverse bat-borne coronaviruses with a wide distribution in China. 6Evaluating Soil Dissolved Organic Matter Extraction Using Three-Dimensional Excitation-Emission Matrix Fluorescence Spectroscopy显示文摘Soil dissolved organic matter(DOM) consists of many organic compounds and plays an important role in contaminant transport in the ecosystem. However, the effects of different extraction conditions on contents of different DOM components are poorly understood.We extracted DOM from three soils using different extraction times, solid to liquid ratios(SLR), and extraction solution(KCl)concentrations, and evaluated the extractions using three-dimensional excitation-emission matrix(EEM) fluorescence spectroscopy.The sum of the contents of the main DOM components(protein-, fulvic-, and humic-like compounds) increased by 0.6–3.5, 2.5–3.9,and 0.11–0.37 times(P < 0.05) when SLR decreased from 1:2 to 1:10, the extraction solution concentration increased from 0.01 to 1.5 mol L^(-1), and extraction time increased from 10 to 300 min, respectively. 7Syntheses of haptens and hapten-protein conjugates for insecticide propoxur and cyhalothrin显示文摘A facile procedure was described for the hapten design of the N-methylcarbamate insecticide propoxur.Two new haptens of propoxur(hapten 1a and hapten 1b) were synthesized by introducing appropriate spacers in the pesticide aromatic moiety of the analyte molecular structure.First,the propoxur reacted with nitric acid to yield the intermediate product.Then hapten 1a was prepared via the reduction of the intermediate product,and hapten 1b was formed by the acylation of hapten 1a with succinic anhydride.In addition,we have also developed a simple method to prepare hapten 2 for the pyrethroid insecticide cyhalothrin,which only requires two steps including the reactions of nitration and reduction.Three haptens were coupled to carrier proteins to prepare the corresponding artificial antigens.The molecular structures of these three haptens were identified by 1H NMR and MS,and those of the artificial antigens were confirmed by UV-vis.Sang, GuangMing Luo, ShiNeng Lin, JianGuo Qiu, Ling Chen, ChuanQing Yang, HaiLin Xia, YongMei 2010Science China Chemistry2010,53,5:3
8Three new lignan glucosides from the roots of Scutellaria baicalensis显示文摘Three new lignan glucosides, baicalensinosides A–C(1–3), were isolated from the roots of Scutellaria baicalensis. The structural elucidation was achieved by in-depth spectroscopic examinations and qualitative chemical test. Structurally, these compounds belong to the 3,4-dibenzyltetrahydrofurantype lignan glycoside with a mono-hydroxyl substitution at the 70-position of benzylidene group on the numbering system of lignans being one of their shared critical features. The anti-osteoporotic activity of the isolated compounds was assessed in an in vitro osteoprotegerin(OPG) transcriptional activity assay using dual luciferase reporter detection. 11Effects of metal and acidic sites on the reaction by-products of butyl acetate oxidation over palladium-based catalysts显示文摘Catalytic oxidation is widely used in pollution control technology to remove volatile organic compounds. In this study, Pd/ZSM-5 catalysts with different Pd contents and acidic sites were prepared via the impregnation method. All the catalysts were characterized by means of N2 adsorptiondesorption, X-ray fluorescence(XRF), H2 temperature programmed reduction(H2-TPR), and NH3 temperature programmed desorption(NH3-TPD). Their catalytic performance was investigated in the oxidation of butyl acetate experiments. The by-products of the reaction were collected in thermal desorption tubes and identified by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. It was found that the increase of Pd content slightly changed the catalytic activity of butyl acetate oxidation according to the yield of CO2 achieved at 90%, but decreased the cracking by-products, whereas the enhancement of strong acidity over Pd-based catalysts enriched the by-product species. The butyl acetate oxidation process involves a series of reaction steps including protolysis, dehydrogenation, dehydration, cracking, and isomerization. Generally, butyl acetate was cracked to acetic acid and 2-methylpropene and the latter was an intermediate of the other by-products, and the oxidation routes of typical by-products were proposed. 12Growth of 12-inch uniform monolayer graphene film on molten glass and its application in PbI2-based photodetector显示文摘Direct growth of large area uniform graphene on functional insulating materials is essential for engineering versatile applications of graphene. However, the existing synthesis approaches can hardly avoid the generation of non-uniform multilayer graphene along the gas flow direction, affording huge challenges for further scaling up. Herein, by exploiting the molten state of soda-lime glass, we have accomplished the direct growth of large area uniform (up to 30 cm × 6 cm) graphene via a facile chemical vapor deposition route on low cost soda-lime glass. The use of molten glass eliminates the chemically active sites (surface corrugations, scratches, defects), and improves the mobility of carbon precursors, affording uniform nucleation and growth of monolayer graphene. Intriguingly, thus-obtained graphene acts as an ideal coating layer for the surface crystallographic modification of soda-lime glass, making it epitaxy substrates for synthesizing high-quality PbI2 nanoplates and continues films. Accordingly, a prototype photodetector was fabricated to present excellent photoelectrical properties of high responsivity (~ 600 on/off current ratio) and fast response speed (18 μs). 13Distribution of non-spherical nanoparticles in turbulent flow of ventilation chamber considering fluctuating particle number density显示文摘The Reynolds-averaged general dynamic equation(RAGDE)for the nanoparticle size distribution function is derived,including the contribution to particle coagulation resulting from the fluctuating concentration.The equation together with that of a turbulent gas flow is solved numerically in the turbulent flow of a ventilation chamber with a jet on the wall based on the proposed model relating the fluctuating coagulation to the gradient of mean concentration.Some results are compared with the experimental data.The results show that the proposed model relating the fluctuating coagulation to the gradient of mean concentration is reasonable,and it is necessary to consider the contribution to coagulation resulting from the fluctuating concentration in such a flow.The changes of the particle number concentration M_(0) and the geometric mean diameter dg are more obvious in the core area of the jet,but less obvious in other areas.With the increase in the initial particle number concentration m00,the values of M_(0) and the standard deviation of the particle sizeσdecrease,but the value of d_(g) increases.The decrease in the initial particle diameter leads to the reduction of M_(0) andσand the increase in d_(g).With the increase in the Reynolds number,particles have few chances of collision,and hence the coagulation rate is reduced,leading to the increase in M_(0) andσand the decrease in d_(g).Ruifang SHI Jianzhong LIN Hailin YANG MingzhouYU 2021Applied Mathematics and Mechanics(English Edition)2021,42,3:1

15Optimizing soil dissolved organic matter extraction by grey relational analysis显示文摘Dissolved organic matter(DOM)in soil plays an important role in the fate and transport o f contaminants.It is typically composed of many compounds,but the effect of different extraction factors on the abundance of different DOM components is unknown.In this study,DOM was extracted from three soils(paddy field,vegetable field and forest soils)with various extraction time,liquid to solid ratios(LSRs).extractant types,and extractant concentrations.The LSR had a significant effect on DOM content,which increased by 0.5-4.0 times among the three soils when LSR increased from 2:1 to 10:1(P<0.05).Dissolved organic matter content increased by 4%-53%when extraction time increased from 10 to 300 min(P<0.05).Extractant concentration had different effects on DOM content depending on the extractant.Higher concentrations of KC1 promoted DOM extraction,while higher concentrations o f KH2PO4 inhibited DOM extraction.Therefore,grey relational analysis was used to further quantitatively evaluate the effect of extraction time,LSR,and extractant concentration on DOM,using KC1 as an extractant.For the paddy field and forest soils,the impact of these three factors on DOM extraction efficiency was in the following order:KC1 concentration>LSR>extraction time.However,the effect was different for the vegetable field soil:LSR>extraction time>KCI concentration.Taking all these factors into account,1.50 mol L^-1 KC1 and an LSR of 10:1 with a shaking time of 300 min was recommended as the most appropriate method for soil DOM extraction.Wenming XIE You MA Shijun LI Shanshan ZHANG Lin RUAN Mingyue YANG Weiming SHI Hailin ZHANG Limin ZHANG 2020Pedosphere2020,30,5:1
16Activation of the Melanocortin-4 receptor signaling byα-MSH stimulates nervedependent mouse digit regeneration显示文摘Background:Expression of Mc4r in peripheral organs indicates it has broader roles in organ homeostasis and regeneration.However,the expression and function of Mc4r in the mouse limb and digit has not been fully investigated.Our previous work showed that Mc4r−/−mice fail to regenerate the digit,but whether activation of MC4R signaling could rescue digit regeneration,or stimulate proximal digit regeneration is not clear.Results:We analyzed the expression dynamics of Mc4r in the embryonic and postnatal mouse limb and digit using the Mc4r-gfp mice.We found that Mc4r-GFP is mainly expressed in the limb nerves,and in the limb muscles that are undergoing secondary myogenesis.Expression of Mc4r-GFP in the adult mouse digit is restricted to the nail matrix.We also examined the effect ofα-MSH on mouse digit regeneration.We found that administration ofα-MSH in the Mc4r+/−mice rescue the delayed regeneration of distal digit tip.α-MSH could rescue distal digit regeneration in denervated hindlimbs.In addition,α-MSH could stimulate regeneration of the proximally amputated digit,which is non-regenerative.Conclusions:Mc4r expression in the mouse limb and digit is closely related to nerve tissues,andα-MSH/MC4R signaling has a neurotrophic role in mouse digit tip regeneration.Hanqian Xu Hailin Zhang Yanqing Fang Huiran Yang Ying Chen Chao Zhang Gufa Lin 2021Cell Regeneration2021,10,1:1
17A review on the flow instability of nanofluids显示文摘Nanofluid flow occurs in extensive applications, and hence has received widespread attention. The transition of nanofluids from laminar to turbulent flow is an important issue because of the differences in pressure drop and heat transfer between laminar and turbulent flow. Nanofluids will become unstable when they depart from the thermal equilibrium or dynamic equilibrium state. This paper conducts a brief review of research on the flow instability of nanofluids, including hydrodynamic instability and thermal instability. 18Mixture flow of particles and power-law fluid in round peristaltic tube显示文摘The erythrocyte and blood flowing in the blood vessel can be treated as the two-phase flow of the mixture of particles and a power-law fluid in a peristaltic tube.In the present work, the peristaltic transport of a power-law fluid and the suspension of particles in a tube is investigated by a perturbation method using the long wavelength approximation. The influence of different parameters on the velocity profile and streamlines is explored. Results show that there is a deflection of the flow field when the power-law index n = 0.5 or 1.5 compared with the Newtonian fluid where the trapping zone is symmetric to a certain cross section. The flux rate and reflux of the material are identified,and the conditions under which the reflux appears are determined. Moreover, a reflux phenomenon occurs near the wall. The trapping zone is related to not only the tube geometry and the flow flux but also the fluid properties. Both the length and width of the trapping zone increase with an increase in θ or φ. 20Achieving ultrahigh electrochemical performance by surface design and nanoconfined water manipulation显示文摘The effects of nanoconfined water and the charge storage mechanism are crucial to achieving the ultrahigh electrochemical performance of two-dimensional transition metal carbides(MXenes). We propose a facile method to manipulate nanoconfined water through surface chemistry modification. By introducing oxygen and nitrogen surface groups, more active sites were created for TiCMXene, and the interlayer spacing was significantly increased by accommodating three-layer nanoconfined water. Exceptionally high capacitance of 550 F g(2000 F cm) was obtained with outstanding high-rate performance. The atomic scale elucidation of the layer-dependent properties of nanoconfined water and pseudocapacitive charge storage was deeply probed through a combination of ‘computational and experimental microscopy’.
