1Massive individual orbital angular momentum channels for multiplexing enabled by Dammann gratings显示文摘Data transmission rates in optical communication systems are approaching the limits of conventional multiplexing methods.Orbital angular momentum(OAM)in optical vortex beams offers a new degree of freedom and the potential to increase the capacity of free-space optical communication systems,with OAM beams acting as information carriers for OAM division multiplexing(OAM-DM).We demonstrate independent collinear OAM channel generation,transmission and simultaneous detection using Dammann optical vortex gratings(DOVGs).We achieve 80/160 Tbit s^(-1) capacity with uniform power distributions along all channels,with 1600 individually modulated quadrature phase-shift keying(QPSK)/16-QAM data channels multiplexed by 10 OAM states,80 wavelengths and two polarizations.DOVG-enabled OAM multiplexing technology removes the bottleneck of massive OAM state parallel detection and offers an opportunity to raise optical communication systems capacity to Pbit s^(-1) level.Ting Lei Meng Zhang Yuru Li Ping Jia Gordon Ning Liu Xiaogeng Xu Zhaohui Li Changjun Min Jiao Lin Changyuan Yu Hanben Niu Xiaocong Yuan 2015Light(Science & Applications)2015,4,1:47

3Curative effect of Dingqi analgesic patch on cancer pain:a single-blind randomized controlled trail显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To observe the curative effect of an acupoint application with a Dingqi analgesic patch on moderate to severe pain caused by liver cancer.METHODS:Forty patients with moderate to severe pain caused by liver cancer were randomly divided intoatreatmentgroup(TG)andacontrolgroup(CG).Patients with moderate pain were given 100 mg qd of a sustainably released tablet of tramadol hydrochloride;patientswithseverepainweregiven4.2mg q3d of the fentanyl transdermal system.The ashi points Ganshu(BL 18),Danshu(BL 19) and Qimen(LR 14) were chosen for the acupoint application intervention.CG patients were given a sham patch and TG patients were given a Dingqi analgesic patch.A visual analogue scale(VAS) was used before treatment and after 1,3,6,9 and 12 days of treatment.The Karnofsky score was measured before treatment and after 12 days of treatment.Any main adverse reactions(e.g.nausea,constipation,dizziness and headache) were recorded after 6 and 12 days of treatment.Any skin side effects(i.e.skin irritation and allergic reactions) were recorded.RESULTS:The VAS in TG was significantly lower than that in CG after 3,6,9 and 12 days of treatment(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the Karnofsky score before treatment and after 12 days of treatment between CG and TG.There were also no significant differences in the main adverse reactions or skin side effects after 6 and 12 days of treatment between CG andTG(P>0.05).CONCLUSION:The Dingqi analgesic patch can enhance the analgesic effect of tramadol and fentanyl.Changjun Wang Wei Tan Xuhui Huang Tingting Fu Juze Lin Junmin Bu Guojian Wei Yu Du 2013Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2013,33,2:9

5Endothelial PDGF-BB/PDGFR-βsignaling promotes osteoarthritis by enhancing angiogenesis-dependent abnormal subchondral bone formation显示文摘The mechanisms that coordinate the shift from joint homeostasis to osteoarthritis(OA)remain unknown.No pharmacological intervention can currently prevent the progression of osteoarthritis.Accumulating evidence has shown that subchondral bone deterioration is a primary trigger for overlying cartilage degeneration.We previously found that H-type vessels modulate aberrant subchondral bone formation during the pathogenesis of OA.However,the mechanism responsible for the elevation of H-type vessels in OA is still unclear.Here,we found that PDGFR-βexpression,predominantly in the CD31^(hi)Emcn^(hi) endothelium,was substantially elevated in subchondral bones from OA patients and rodent OA models.A mouse model of OA with deletion of PDGFR-βin endothelial cells(ECs)exhibited fewer H-type vessels,ameliorated subchondral bone deterioration and alleviated overlying cartilage degeneration.Endothelial PDGFR-βpromotes angiogenesis through the formation of the PDGFR-β/talin1/FAK complex.Notably,endothelium-specific inhibition of PDGFR-βby local injection of AAV9 in subchondral bone effectively attenuated the pathogenesis of OA compared with that of the vehicle-treated controls.Based on the results from this study,targeting PDGFR-βis a novel and promising approach for the prevention or early treatment of OA.Zhuang Cui Hangtian Wu Ye Xiao Ting Xu Junjie Jia Hancheng Lin Rongmin Lin Kun Chen Yihuang Lin Kaiqun Li Xiaohu Wu Changjun Li Bin Yu 2022Bone Research2022,10,4:4
6Stitching algorithm for ion beam figuring of optical mirrors显示文摘A novel stitching machining method for ion beam figuring of optical mirrors is presented in this paper. Problems that should be dealt with in the stitching process such as shaping principle,algorithm for dwell time calculation,parameter identification and compensation for positioning errors are discussed. Based on Computer Controlled Optical Surfacing(CCOS)principle,the finite field nonlinear model is deduced from the stitching shaping mechanism;with the superposition property in the model,a modified Richardson-Lucy iterative algorithm is presented to deconvolute the dwell time for the stitching process;the effect of the positioning errors and the removal rate on the machining accuracy and shape is modeled and then the identification and compensation algorithm for these parameters is proposed based on this model.With these studies,shaping theory and algorithm are constructed,and then the stitching process for ion beam figuring comes into being.Figuring experiments are made on planar samples;the process convergence ratio is 10,which is similar to that in full aperture figuring.Theo- retical and experimental studies indicate that the stitching theory and algorithm in the ion beam figuring process presented in this paper are a novel method for fabrication of precision mirrors with lower cost.ShengYi Li ChangJun Jiao XuHui Xie Lin Zhou 2009Science China(Technological Sciences)2009,52,12:3
7Engineered gold/black phosphorus nanoplatforms with remodeling tumor microenvironment for sonoactivated catalytic tumor theranostics显示文摘The imbalance between oxidants and antioxidants in cancer cells would evoke oxidative stress-induced cell death,which has been demonstrated to be highly effective in treating malignant tumors.Sonodynamic therapy(SDT)adopts ultrasound(US)as the excitation source to induce the production of reactive oxygen species(ROS),which emerges as a noninvasive therapeutic strategy with deep tissue penetration depth and high clinical safety.Herein,we construct novel sonoactivated oxidative stress amplification nanoplatforms by coating MnO_(2) on Au nanoparticle-anchored black phosphorus nanosheets and decorating soybean phospholipid subsequently(Au/BP@MS).The Au/BP@MS exhibit increased ROS generation efficiency under US irradiation in tumor tissues due to Au/BP nanosensitizer-induced improvement of electron-hole separation as well as MnO_(2)-mediated O_(2) generation and GSH depletion,thus leading to notable inhibition effect on tumor growth.Moreover,tumor microenvironment-responsive biodegradability of Au/BP@MS endows them with enhanced magnetic resonance imaging guidance and clinical potential for cancer theranostics.Ting Chen Weiwei Zeng Changjun Tie Mian Yu Huisong Hao Yang Deng Qianqian Li Hairong Zheng Meiying Wu Lin Mei 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,4:1

16The bacterial RNA ligase RtcB accelerates the repair process of fragmented rRNA upon releasing the antibiotic stress显示文摘RtcB, a highly conserved RNA ligase, is found in all three domains of life, and demonstrated to be an essential tRNA splicing component in archaea and metazoans. However, the biological functions of RtcB in bacteria, where there is no splicing, remains to be clarified. We first performed bioinformatics analysis which revealed highly conserved structures and presumably conserved functions of RtcB in bacteria. However, its orthologs only occur in ~0.5% of bacterial species across diverse phyla with significant signals of frequent horizontal transfer, highlighting its non-essential role in bacteria. Next, by constructing an rtcBknockout strain, we find that the removal of antibiotic stress induces a significant impact on rtcB expression in wild-type strain,and furthermore the depletion of RtcB(?RtcB strain) delays the recovery process. Our transcriptomic analysis, comprising the3′-end labeling of RNAs, highlights a significant increase in unmapped reads and cleaved rRNAs in the ?RtcB strain, particularly during recovery. Our observations suggest that the conserved RNA ligase RtcB, repairs damaged r RNAs following stress,which potentially saves energy and accelerates recovery of its host. 18Tumor Microenvironment-Specific Chemical Internalization for Enhanced Gene Therapy of Metastatic Breast Cancer显示文摘Benefiting from treating diseases at the genetic level,gene therapy has been considered a new revolution in the biomedical field.However,the extracellular and intracellular barriers during gene transport such as enzymatic degradation and endo-/lysosomal sequestration significantly compromise the therapeutic efficacy.Though photochemical internalization(PCI)has emerged as a promising approach for causing endo-/lysosomal leakage with translocation of the internalized molecules into the cytosol,its effect is still unsatisfactory due to the insufficient light penetration depth.Here,we develop tumor microenvironment-specific enhanced gene delivery by means of ROS generated from the in situ cascaded catalytic reactions in tumors involving GOx-mediated redox reaction and Mn2+-mediated Fenton-like reaction.The efficient enzymatic protection and successful endo-/lysosomal escape of cargo gene complexes have been demonstrated.Moreover,anti-Twist siRNA-loaded G@MMSNs-P exhibit tumor-specific biodegradation,excellent T1-weighted MR imaging,and significant inhibitory effects against breast cancer growth and pulmonary metastasis.Yun Zhou Mian Yu Changjun Tie Yang Deng Junqing Wang Yunfei Yi Fan Zhang Chenyi Huang Hairong Zheng Lin Mei Meiying Wu 2021Research2021,,1:0
