| 1 | Geological Characteristics and Zircon U-Pb Dating of Volcanic Rocks from the Beizhan Iron Deposit in Western Tianshan Mountains, Xinjiang, NW China显示文摘The Beizhan large iron deposit located in the east part of the Awulale metallogenic belt in the western Tianshan Mountains is hosted in the Unit 2 of the Dahalajunshan Formation as lens, veinlets and stratoid, and both of the hanging wall and footwall are quartz-monzonite; the dip is to the north with thick and high-grade ore bodies downwards. Ore minerals are mainly magnetite with minor sulfides, such as pyrite, pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite and sphalerite. Skarnization is widespread around the ore bodies, and garnet, diopside, wollastonite, actinolite, epidote, uralite, tourmaline sericite and calcite are ubiquitous as gangues. Radiating outwards from the center of the ore body the deposit can be classified into skarn, calcite, serpentinite and marble zones. LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb dating of the rhyolite and dacite from the Dahalajunshan Formation indicates that they were formed at 301.3±0.8 Ma and 303.7±0.9 Ma, respectively, which might have been related to the continental arc magmatism during the late stage of subduction in the western Tianshan Mountains. Iron formation is genetically related with volcanic eruption during this interval. The Dahalajunshan Formation and the quartz-monzonite intrusion jointly control the distribution of ore bodies. | 3 | Implementation of One-Way Quantum Computing with a Hybrid Solid-State Quantum System显示文摘We proposed an efficient scheme for implementing the large-scale one-way Quantum computing(QC)with a novel hybrid solid-state quantum system. This system consists of N Nitrogen-vacancy(N-V) centers coupled to N separate Transmission line resonators(TLRs), which are interconnected by a Current-biased Josephson junction(CBJJ) superconducting phase qubit. We showed the way of preparation of N-qubit linear cluster state with N N-V centers, then we demonstrated the way of extending cluster state by connecting two pieces of linear cluster states into two-dimensional cluster state, last, with our designed new structures, we demonstrated the QC basic operations.It means that our scheme may open up promising possibilities for implementing the practical and scalable one-way quantum computers with the hybrid solid-state quantum system. | 8 | Chromosome-level Genomes Reveal the Genetic Basis of Descending Dysploidy and Sex Determination in Morus Plants显示文摘Multiple plant lineages have independently evolved sex chromosomes and variable karyotypes to maintain their sessile lifestyles through constant biological innovation.Morus notabilis,a dioecious mulberry species,has the fewest chromosomes among Morus spp.,but the genetic basis of sex determination and karyotype evolution in this species has not been identified.In this study,three high-quality genome assemblies were generated for Morus spp.[including dioecious M.notabilis(male and female)and Morus yunnanensis(female)]with genome sizes of 301–329 Mb and were grouped into six pseudochromosomes.Using a combination of genomic approaches,we found that the putative ancestral karyotype of Morus species was close to 14 protochromosomes,and that several chromosome fusion events resulted in descending dysploidy(2n=2x=12).We also characterized a~6.2-Mb sex-determining region on chromosome 3.Four potential male-specific genes,a partially duplicated DNA helicase gene(named MSDH)and three Ty3_Gypsy long terminal repeat retrotransposons(named MSTG1/2/3),were identified in the Y-linked area and considered to be strong candidate genes for sex determination or differentiation.Population genomic analysis showed that Guangdong accessions in China were genetically similar to Japanese accessions of mulberry.In addition,genomic areas containing selective sweeps that distinguish domesticated mulberry from wild populations in terms of flowering and disease resistance were identified.Our study provides an important genetic resource for sex identification research and molecular breeding in mulberry. | Zhongqiang Xia Xuelei Dai Wei Fan Changying Liu Meirong Zhang Peipei Bian Yuping Zhou Liang Li Baozhong Zhu Shuman Liu Zhengang Li Xiling Wang Maode Yu Zhonghuai Xiang Yu Jiang Aichun Zhao | 2022 | Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2022,20,6: | 1 |

| 20 | Centromere repositioning and shifts in wheat evolution显示文摘The centromere is the region of a chromosome that directs its separation and plays an important role in cell division and reproduction of organisms.Elucidating the dynamics of centromeres is an alternative strategy for exploring the evolution of wheat.Here,we comprehensively analyzed centromeres from the de novoassembled common wheat cultivar Aikang58(AK58),Chinese Spring(CS),and all sequenced diploid and tetraploid ancestors by chromatin immunoprecipitation sequencing,whole-genome bisulfite sequencing,RNA sequencing,assay for transposase-accessible chromatin using sequencing,and comparative genomics.We found that centromere-associated sequences were concentrated during tetraploidization and hexaploidization.Centromeric repeats of wheat(CRWs)have undergone expansion during wheat evolution,with strong interweaving between the A and B subgenomes post tetraploidization.We found that CENH3 prefers to bind with younger CRWs,as directly supported by immunocolocalization on two chromosomes(1A and 2A)of wild emmer wheat with dicentromeric regions,only one of which bound with CENH3.In a comparison of AK58 with CS,obvious centromere repositioning was detected on chromosomes 1B,3D,and 4D.The active centromeres showed a unique combination of lower CG but higher CHH and CHG methylation levels.We also found that centromeric chromatin was more open than pericentromeric chromatin,with higher levels of gene expression but lower gene density.Frequent introgression between tetraploid and hexaploid wheat also had a strong influence on centromere position on the same chromosome.This study also showed that active wheat centromeres were genetically and epigenetically determined. | Jing Zhao Yilin Xie Chuizheng Kong Zefu Lu Haiyan Jia Zhengqiang Ma Yijing Zhang Dangqun Cui Zhengang Ru Yuquan Wang Rudi Appels Jizeng Jia Xueyong Zhang | 2023 | Plant Communications2023,4,4: | 0 |
