2Ground moving target detection and location based on SAR images for distributed spaceborne SAR显示文摘This paper investigates data processing approaches to detect and locate ground moving targets using distributed spaceborne SAR systems with long cross-track baselines. In particular, it investigates the performance of ground moving target detection for two typical satellite formations: Cartwheel and Pendulum. An approach based on SAR images and a space-time adaptive processing (STAP) algorithm is proposed in order to overcome the effects of the ground terrain on the clutter suppression. The key idea of the approach is firstly to reduce the clutter degrees of freedom greatly by using conventional SAR imaging processing. Then the ground terrain clutter within each SAR pixel can be effectively cancelled by using the very limited spatial degrees of freedom. Finally, constant-false-alarm-rate (CFAR) techniques can be used to detect the remaining target SAR pixels after clutter cancellation. An approach to relocate the detected targets is also proposed, which is based on the estimation of the Doppler spectrum shifts of ground moving targets relative to the clutter Doppler spectrum. 3Branched tetraether lipids in Chinese soils:Evaluating the fidelity of MBT/CBT proxies as paleoenvironmental proxies显示文摘The ubiquitous occurrence of branched glycerol dialkyl glycerol tetraethers(br GDGTs) in soils has allowed development of new proxies for reconstruction of past climate and environment. The methylation and cyclization degrees of br GDGTs, expressed as MBT and CBT, respectively, are reported to be mainly controlled by mean annual air temperature(MAAT) and soil p H. However, the br GDGT-derived temperatures and soil p H scatter widely when data from different environmental conditions are considered. In this study, we collected over 300 soil samples from China, which are representative of humid(Xishuangbanna, Guangzhou, and Shanghai), semi-arid(Dongying) and semi-arid/arid(Lanzhou, Tibetan Plateau) regions. Collectively we have the most extensive dataset that broadly characterizes the distribution of br GDGTs according to climate zones in China. The overall data demonstrate that the MBT/CBT derived temperatures better match the measured MAATs in humid and non-alkaline regions than those from regions of low MAP(<400 mm/yr) and above neutral soil p H(>7.0–7.5). Similarly, CBT describes soil p H much better in humid and non-alkaline soils than in semi-arid/arid and alkaline soils; the semi-arid/arid and alkaline soils tend to show a positive correlation between soil p H and CBT, which contradicts that in the humid and non-alkaline soils. While soil p H, MAAT and mean annual precipitation(MAP) are dominating factors controlling the br GDGT distribution across all climate zones, conductivity, total organic carbon and total nitrogen, as well as soil water content can also play an important role locally. Removing br GDGT-II resulted in a revised CBT index that provides more accurate estimation of p H, especially in semi-arid/arid and alkaline soils. 4Resequencing of 145 Landmark Cultivars Reveals Asymmetric Sub-genome Selection and Strong Founder Genotype Effects on Wheat Breeding in China显示文摘Controlled pedigrees and the multi-decade timescale of national crop plant breeding programs offer a unique experimental context for examining how selection affects plant genomes.More than 3000 wheat cultivars have been registered,released,and documented since 1949 in China.In this study,a set of 145 elite cultivars selected from historical points of wheat breeding in China were re-sequenced.A total of 43.75 Tb of sequence data were generated with an average read depth of 17.94x for each cultivar,and more than 60.92 million SNPs and 2.54 million InDels were captured,based on the Chinese Spring RefSeq genome v1.0.Seventy years of breeder-driven selection led to dramatic changes in grain yield and related phenotypes,with distinct genomic regions and phenotypes tar-geted by different breeders across the decades.There are very clear instances illustrating how introduced Italian and otherforeign germplasm was integrated into Chinese wheat programs and reshaped the genomic landscape of local modern cultivars.Importantly,the resequencing data also highlighted significant asymmetric breeding selec-tion among the three sub-genomes:this was evident in both the collinear blocks for homeologous chromosomes and among sets of three homeologous genes.Accumulation of more newly assembled genes in newer cultivars implied the potential value of these genes in breeding.Conserved and extended sharing of linkage disequilibrium(LD)blocks was highlighted among pedigree-related cultivars,in which fewer haplotype differences were detected.Fixation or replacement of haplotypes from founder genotypes after generations of breeding was related to their breeding value.Based on the haplotype frequency changes in LD blocks of pedigree-related cultivars,we propose a strategy for evaluating the breeding value of any given line on the basis of the accumulation(pyramiding)of bene-ficial haplotypes.Collectively,our study demonstrates the influence of 'founder genotypes' on the output of breeding efforts over many decades and also suggests that founder genotype perspectives are in fact more dy-namic when applied in the context of modern genomics-informed breeding.Chenyang Hao Chengzhi Jiao Jian Hou Tian Li Hongxia Liu Yuquan Wang Jun Zheng Hong Liu Zhihong Bi Fengfeng Xu Jing Zhao Lin Ma Yamei Wang Uzma Majeed Xu Liu Rudi Appels Marco Maccaferri Roberto Tuberosa Hongfeng Lu Xueyong Zhang 2020Molecular Plant2020,13,12:9
5Polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans (PCDD/Fs) emissions from electric arc furnaces for steelmaking显示文摘The proportion of steel produced using electric arc furnaces(EAFs)is increasing.In this study,polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans(PCDD/Fs)concentrations and patterns in stack gas samples from three typical EAFs in steelmaking plants were determined to allow the contributions of EAFs in steelmaking plants to PCDD/Fs emissions in China to be assessed.Samples collection was accomplished by adopting the automatic isokinetic sampling technique,then the PCDD/Fs congeners concentrations were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively by isotope dilution high-resolution gas chromatography high-resolution mass spectrometry(HRGC-HRMS).The mean PCDD/Fs mass concentrations in stack gases emitted during the scrap preheating phase of plants E1,E2,and E3 were 0.48,385.55,and 0.34 ng Nm^-3,respectively,and the total toxic equivalent(WHO2005-TEQ)concentrations were 0.05,33.16,and 0.03 ng Nm^-3,respectively.The PCDD/Fs mass concentration in stack gases emitted during the melting phase at plant E3 was 0.12 ng Nm^-3(0.02 ng WHO2005-TEQ Nm^-3).The operational temperature of the bag filter of the preheating in the E2 EAF was as high as 230℃,which is conducive to the generation of PCDD/Fs,whether the temperature in the bag filter of E1(150℃)and E3(120℃)are not.Moreover,the bag filter temperature is suggested to be best controlled to below 150℃.The emission factors(EF)for PCDD/Fs released into the air during the scrap preheating phase for plants E1,E2,and E3 were 0.13,52,and 0.10 mg WHO2005-TEQ t1,respectively,and the EF for the smelting phase from plant E3 was 0.14 mg WHO2005-TEQ t1.The emission factor in E2 is 5 times higher than the highest current UNEP toolkit factor for EAFs(10 mg TEQ/tonne steel).Therefore,an update for the UNEP toolkit emission factor for a few case plants is suggested.Several congeners,including 2,3,7,8-TeCDF,1,2,3,4,6,7,8-HpCDF,and 1,2,3,4,6,7,8-HpCDD,were dominant during the preheating phase,while 2,3,7,8-TeCDF,1,2,3,7,8-PeCDF,and 2,3,4,7,8-PeCDF were dominant during the smelting phase.The monitoring data from the case plants helps to better understand the PCDD/Fs emissions of EAFs using preheating process stages.However,a more complete emission inventory requires more case investigations on the PCDD/Fs emissions from representative EAFs steelmaking plants.Qiuting Yang Lili Yang Jia Shen Yuanping Yang Minxiang Wang Xiaoyun Liu Xuejing Shen Changliang Li Jia Xu Fengfeng Li Da Li Guorui Liu Minghui Zheng 2020Emerging Contaminants2020,6,1:3
6Distinct distribution revealing multiple bacterial sources for 1-Omonoalkyl glycerol ethers in terrestrial and lake environments显示文摘The 1-O-monoalkyl glycerol ethers(MAGEs) were initially viewed as the biomarkers for sulfate-reducing bacteria(SRB) mediating anaerobic oxidation of methane in the marine environments. However, limited information is known about their distribution in terrestrial and other aquatic settings including soils, fresh water lakes, and cave sediments, which may obscure our understanding of their biological sources. Here we found that MAGEs were ubiquitous but differed obviously in distributional pattern among those environments. The surface soils are dominated generally by i C15:0-MAGE, followed by n C16:0-MAGE whereas the lake sediments show the opposite, resulting in significantly higher i C15:0/n C16:0 ratios in soils than in lake sediments. The cave deposits are characterized by considerably higher proportions of branched MAGEs than the former two environments. The logarithm of i C15:0/a C15:0 ratio shows a significant negative correlation with soil p H, likely reflecting an adaptation of microbial cell membrane to change in the ambient proton concentration. The MAGE profiles in cultured bacteria cannot fully explain the MAGE distribution in all the samples analyzed. Therefore, MAGEs in soil, lake sediments, and cave deposits likely have additional biological source(s) other than SRB and cultured MAGE-producing bacteria.
