| 1 | A journey to understand wheat Fusarium head blight resistance in the Chinese wheat landrace Wangshuibai显示文摘Fusarium head blight(FHB) or scab caused by Fusarium graminearum is a major threat to wheat production in China as well as in the world. To combat this disease, multiple efforts have been carried out internationally. In this article, we review our long-time effort in identifying the resistance genes and dissecting the resistance mechanisms by both forward and reverse genetics approaches in the last two decades. We present recent progress in resistance QTL identification, candidate functional gene discovery, marker-assisted improvement of FHB resistant varieties, and findings in investigating association of signal molecules, such as Ca^(++),SA, JA, and ET, with FHB response, with the assistance from rapidly growing genomics platforms. | 3 | A haplotype block associated with thousand-kernel weight on chromosome 5DS in common wheat(Triticum aestivum L.)显示文摘Spike number per unit area, number of grains per spike, and thousand-kernel weight(TKW) are important yield components for wheat(Triticum aestivum L.). TKW has the highest heritability among the three components. We validated 27 simple sequence repeat(SSR) loci associated with TKW in an F2:5breeding population grown in four environments. A cfd78265 bpmarker on chromosome 5DS showed the strongest association with TKW and had a significantly positive effect on TKW compared to allele cfd78259 bp, with mean increases of 5.17, 3.63, 4.11, and 5.16 g in the four environments. Markers cfd67 and cfd40 flanking cfd78 also showed significantly positive associations with TKW with increases of 5.11, 3.29, 4.31, and 4.50 g for cfd67205, and4.98, 3.49, 4.06, and 4.84 g for cfd40187 compared with cfd67203 and cfd40190in the four environments, respectively. A major quantitative trait locus for TKW spanning 2.94 c M on chromosome 5DS was detected by association mapping.Strong linkage disequilibrium(LD)(r2> 0.2) was detected Resear among the three linked markers, which formed three haplotype blocks in the F2:5breeding population. Mean TKW differences between Hap B-I and Hap B-II were 5.80, 4.41, 4.02,and 5.06 g in the four environments, respectively. Moreover,significant LD was detected only between cfd78 and cfd67 and between cfd67 and cfd40 in a germplasm collection. | 4 | Dendrite-structured FeF_(2) consisting of closely linked nanoparticles as cathode for high-performance lithium-ion capacitors显示文摘Lithium-ion capacitors(LICs)are regarded as a good choice for next-generation energy storage devices,which are expected to exhibit high energy densities,high power densities,and ultra-long cycling stability.Nevertheless,only a few battery-type cathode materials with limited kinetic properties can be employed in LICs,and their electrochemical properties need to be optimized urgently.Here,we exploit a new dendrite-structured FeF_(2) consisting of closely linked primary nanoparticles using a facile solvothermal method combined with the subsequent annealing treatment.This particular architecture has favorable transport pathways for both lithium ions and electrons and exhibits an ultrafast chargedischarge capability with high reversible capacities.Furthermore,a well-designed LIC employing the prepared dendrite-structured FeF_(2) as the battery-type cathode and commercialized activated carbon(AC)as supercapacitor-type anode was constructed in an organic electrolyte containing Li ions.The LIC operates at an optimal voltage range of 1.1-3.8 V and shows a maximum high energy density of 152 W h kg^(-1) and a high power density of 4900 W kg^(-1) based on the total mass of cathode and anode.Long-term cycling stability(85%capacity retention after 2000 cycles)was achieved at 1 A g^(-1).This work suggests that the dendrite-structured FeF_(2) is a prime candidate for high-performance LICs and accelerates the development of hybrid ion capacitor devices. | Huanyu Liang Zhengqiang Hu Zhongchen Zhao Dong Chen Hao Zhang Huaizhi Wang Xia Wang Qiang Li Xiangxin Guo Hongsen Li | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,4: | 3 |
| 5 | Expression and responses to dehydration and salinity stresses of V-PPase gene members in wheat显示文摘Vacuolar H+-translocating pyrophosphatase(V-PPase) is a key enzyme related to plant growth as well as abiotic stress tolerance.In this work,wheat V-PPase genes TaVP1,TaVP2 and TaVP3 were identified.TaVP1 and TaVP2 are more similar to each other than to TaVP3.Their deduced polypeptide sequences preserve the topological structure and essential residues of V-PPases.Phylogenetic studies suggested that monocot plants,at least monocot grasses,have three VP paralogs.TaVP3 transcripts were only detected in developing seeds,and no TaVP2 transcripts were found in germinating seeds.TaVP2 was mainly expressed in shoot tissues and down-regulated in leaves under dehydration.Its expression was up-regulated in roots under high salinity.TaVP1 was relatively more ubiquitously and evenly expressed than TaVP2.Its expression level in roots was highest among the tissues examined,and was inducible by salinity stress.These results indicated that the V-PPase gene paralogs in wheat are differentially regulated spatially and in response to dehydration and salinity stresses. | Yuezhi Wang Haibin Xu Guangxiang Zhang Huilan Zhu Lixia Zhang Zhengzhi Zhang Caiqin Zhang Zhengqiang Ma | 2009 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2009,36,12: | 3 |

| 20 | A satellite-derived,ground-measurement-independent monthly PM_(2.5)mass concentration dataset over China during 2000-2015显示文摘Following the accelerated development of urbanization and industrialization,atmospheric particulate matter has become a significant threat to public health globally.Environmental health studies usually use the mass concentration of fine particles(PM_(2.5))as a base data to predict the health risks of particulate exposure.However,PM_(2.5)data from ground monitoring stations in China has not been provided until January 2013 by the Ministry of Environmental Protection of China.Hence,an alternative dataset of PM_(2.5)spatiotemporal distributions extending to years earlier than 2013 is urgently needed,which is of great significance to atmospheric environment assessment and pollution prevention and control.Atmospheric aerosol products by the moderate-resolution imaging spectroradiometer(MODIS)have been released since 2000,which provides the possibility to reconstruct historical PM_(2.5).However,most current methods do not have the ability to estimate PM_(2.5)mass concentration independently of ground observations.The PM_(2.5)mass concentration data set produced by PM_(2.5)remote sensing(PMRS)model based on physical processes does not depend on the ground observations,and also is not affected by the uncertainty of model emission sources or the completeness of chemical reaction mechanism.These ensure that the point-by-point validation for PM_(2.5)mass concentration data is more convincing,and the dataset can also be further used for model assimilation and artificial intelligence training to improve their predictions.In this study,we calculate the monthly PM_(2.5)mass concentration near the ground over land of China using aerosol inversion products(aerosol optical depth and fine-mode fraction)of MODIS and meteorological data(boundary layer height&relative humidity)provided by the Modern-Era Retrospective Analysis for Research and Applications Version 2(MERRA-2)data set.The results show that,in China,6 pollution centers mainly concentrated in the central and eastern regions.The highest PM_(2.5)mass concentration occurred in winter,whereas the pollution range was larger in summer.There are 63.4%of validation sites with biases within±20μg m−3,and the expected error is as±(15μg m−3+30%)enveloped by the monthly mean PM_(2.5)mass concentrations.The monthly PM_(2.5)is stored as NETCDF format,with a spatial resolution of 1°×1°.The published data is available in http://gffzze4f4599d7a764a8fh5xvf6ncvwfbn6b0c.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/10.11922/sciencedb.j00076.00061. | Ying Zhang Zhengqiang Li Yuanyuan Wei Zongren Peng | 2022 | Big Earth Data2022,6,4: | 0 |
