1Characterization of Soil Quality Under Vegetable Production Along an Urban-Rural Gradient显示文摘Human activity and urbanization result in urban-rural environmental gradients. Understanding effect of the gradients on soil properties is necessary for management of the soils around urban areas. In this study, soil quality of some vegetable fields was characterized along an urban-rural gradient in Shaoxing County, Zhejiang Province. Fifteen soil physical and chemical properties were evaluated by using principal component analysis.Results showed that there was a great variation in the soil quality along the gradient. From rural to urban zones, soil organic matter, water-stable aggregates, cation exchangeable capacity (CEC), total N and P, and available K increased, whereas soil pH value decreased. In addition, Pb, Cu, Ni, Co, Zn and Cr in the soils tended to be accumulated toward the urban zone. Sequential chemical extraction showed that mobility of all the heavy metals in the soils tended to increase from the rural to the urban zones. 2Vegetation cover change and the driving factors over northwest China显示文摘In this paper the spatio-temporal variation of vegetation cover in northwest China during the period of 1982-2006 and its driving factors were analyzed using GIMMS/NDVI data. The annual average NDVI was increased with a rate of 0.0005/a in northwest China and there was an obvious difference between regions. The trend line slopes of NDVI were higher than 0.0005 in the Tianshan Moutains and Altay Mountains of Xinjiang,the Qilian Mountains of Gansu and the eastern part of Qinghai,which indicated the vegetation cover was significantly increased in these areas. The trend line slopes of NDVI were lower than 0.0005 in the southern region of Qinghai,the border regions of Shaanxi and Ningxia,the parts of Gansu and Tarim Basin,Turpan and Tuoli in Xinjiang,which indicated the vegetation cover was declined in these areas. The NDVI of woodland,grassland and cultivated land had an ascending tendency during the study period. The study shows that the vegetation cover change was caused by both natural factors and human activities in northwest China. The natural vegetation change,such as forests was influenced by climate change,while human activities were the main reason to the change of planting vegetation. The changes of vegetation covers for different elevations,slopes and slope aspects were quite different. When the elevation is exceeded to 4,000 m,the NDVI increasing trend was very low;the NDVI at the slope of less than 25° was increased by the ecological construction;the variation of NDVI on sunny slope was stronger than that on shady slope. The temperature rose significantly in recent 25 years in northwest China by an average rate of 0.67oC/10a,and precipitation increased by an average rate of 8.15 mm/10a after 1986. There was positive correlation between vegetation cover and temperature and annual precipitation changes. Rising temperature increased the evaporation and drought of soils,which is not conducive to plant growth,and the irrigation in agricultural areas reduced the correlation between agricultural vegetation NDVI and precipitation. 3Management of cytokine release syndrome related to CAR-T cell therapy显示文摘Chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR-T) cell therapy is a novel cellular immunotherapy that is widely used to treat hematological malignancies, including acute leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma. Despite its remarkable clinical effects, this therapy has side effects that cannot be underestimated. Cytokine release syndrome (CRS) is one of the most clinically important and potentially life-threatening toxicities. This syndrome is a systemic immune storm that involves the mass cytokines releasing by activated immune cells. This phenomenon causes multisystem damages and sometimes even death. In this study, we reported the management of a patient with recurrent and refractory multiple myeloma and three patients with acute lymphocytic leukemia who suffered CRS during CAR-T treatment. The early application of tocilizumab, an anti-IL-6 receptor antibody, according to toxicity grading and clinical manifestation is recommended especially for patients who suffer continuous hyperpyrexia, hypotensive shock, acute respiratory failure, and whose CRS toxicities deteriorated rapidly. Moreover, low doses of dexamethasone (5-10 mg/day) were used for refractory CRS not responding to tocilizumab. 5Periodicity and map for discovery of new ionic liquids显示文摘There is virtually no limit in the number of ionic liquids. How to select proper ones or discover new ones with desirable properties in such a large pool of ionic liquids? It has become a bottleneck in the researches and applications of ionic liquids. Mendeleev’s periodic law states that the properties of the elements vary periodically. Whether the similar regularity exists among ionic or mo-lecular fragments of compounds is an interesting topic. In this work, we attempted to establish a pe-riodicity and draw a “map” of ionic liquids for providing definite guidance to discover, design, and se-lect the proper ionic liquids rather than trial-and-error. 6CRISPR/Cas9-mediated correction of human genetic disease显示文摘The clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats(CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated(Cas) protein 9 system(CRISPR/Cas9) provides a powerful tool for targeted genetic editing. Directed by programmable sequence-specific RNAs,this system introduces cleavage and double-stranded breaks at target sites precisely. Compared to previously developed targeted nucleases, the CRISPR/Cas9 system demonstrates several promising advantages, including simplicity, high specificity,and efficiency. Several broad genome-editing studies with the CRISPR/Cas9 system in different species in vivo and ex vivo have indicated its strong potential, raising hopes for therapeutic genome editing in clinical settings. Taking advantage of non-homologous end-joining(NHEJ) and homology directed repair(HDR)-mediated DNA repair, several studies have recently reported the use of CRISPR/Cas9 to successfully correct disease-causing alleles ranging from single base mutations to large insertions. 7Electrodeposition of zinc coatings from the solutions of zinc oxide in imidazolium chloride/urea mixtures显示文摘To solve the inherent disadvantages in conventional processes for electrodeposition of zinc, it's necessary to develop more high-efficiency and environmentally friendly electrolytes. In this work, it was found that the dissolution of ZnO was remarkably enhanced in some imidazolium chloride by the addition of urea, and the solubility of ZnO in 1:1 [Amim]Cl/urea mixture was as high as 8.35 wt% at 373.2 K. Electrochemical measurements showed that zinc could be readily electrodeposited from the solutions of ZnO. Bright, dense and well adherent zinc coatings with good purity were obtained from 0.6 M solution of ZnO in 1:1 [Amim]Cl/urea at 323.2 343.2 K. 8High N-doped hierarchical porous carbon networks with expanded interlayers for efficient sodium storage显示文摘Sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) have been attracting considerable attention as a promising candidate for large-scale energy storage because of the abundance and low-cost of sodium resources. However, lack of appropriate anode materials impedes further applications. Herein, a novel self-template strategy is designed to synthesize uniform flowerlike N-doped hierarchical porous carbon networks (NHPCN) with high content of N (15.31 at.%) assembled by ultrathin nanosheets via a self-synthesized single precursor and subsequent thermal annealing. Relying on the synergetic coordination of benzimidazole and 2-methylimidazole with metal ions to produce a flowerlike network, a self-formed single precursor can be harvested. Due to the structural and compositional advantages, including the high N doping, the expanded interlayer spacing, the ultrathin two-dimensional nano-sized subunits, and the three-dimensional porous network structure, these unique NHPCN flowers deliver ultrahigh reversible capacities of 453.7 mAh·g^−1 at 0.1 A·g^−1 and 242.5 mAh·g^−1 at 1 A·g^−1 for 2,500 cycles with exceptional rate capability of 5 A·g^−1 with reversible capacities of 201.2 mAh·g^−1. 9Underwater Sonar Image Detection:A Novel Quantum-Inspired Shuffled Frog Leaping Algorithm显示文摘Object detection plays an important role in the underwater object recognition technology of sonar equipment. We propose a Novel quantum-inspired shuffled frog leaping algorithm(NQSFLA) to obtain more accurate detection results in this paper. The proposed NQSFLA adopts a fitness function combining intra-class difference with inter-class difference to evaluate the frog position more accurately and a new quantum evolution update strategy to improve the searching ability in the searching process. In order to avoid the disadvantages of Quantuminspired shuffled frog leaping algorithm(QSFLA), a fuzzy membership matrix with spatial information model is developed, which can remove isolated regions and further improve the detection accuracy. Segmentation, distribution and noise entropy(SDNE) model is also proposed to quantitatively evaluate the detection results. 11Comparison of Effects of Mechanical Stretching on Osteogenic Potential of ASCs and BMSCs显示文摘Mechanical forces play critical roles in the development and remodeling processes of bone.As an alternative cell source for bone engineering,adipose-derived stem cells(ASCs)should be fully investigated for their responses to mechanical stress.Similarly,the osteogenic potential,stimulated by mechanical stress,should be compared with bone marrow stromal cells(BMSCs),which have been clinically used for bone tissue engineering.In this study,ASCs and BMSCs were osteogenic-induced for 48 hours,and then subjected to uniaxial mechanical stretching for 2 or 6 hours.Cell orientation,osteogenic regulatory genes,osteogenic genes and ALP activities were measured and compared between ASCs and BMSCs.ASCs could align in a perpendicular way to the direction of stretching stress,while BMSCs did not present a specific alignment.Both 2 and 6 hours mechanical stretching could enhance the mRNA expression of Osx and Runx2 in BMSCs and ASCs,while OCN mRNA only increased in ASCs after 6 hours mechanical loading.Mechanical stretching enhanced the BMP-2 mRNA expression in ASCs,while only after 6 hours of mechanical loading significantly increased the BMP-2 gene expression in BMSCs.Significant differences only exist between ASCs and BMSCs loaded at 2 hours of mechanical stretching.It is concluded that ASCs are more rapid responders to mechanical stress,and have greater potential than BMSCs in osteogenesis when stimulated by mechanical stretching,indicating their usefulness for bone study in a rat model.Brian E. 12Zephyranthes-like Co2NiSe4 arrays grown on 3D porous carbon frame-work as electrodes for advanced supercapacitors and sodium-ion batteries显示文摘Developing suitable electrode materials for electrochemical energy storage devices by biomorph assisted design has become a fascinating topic due to the fantastic properties derived from bio-architectures.Herein,zephyranthes-like Co_(2)NiSe_(4)arrays grown on butterfly wings derived three-dimensional(3D)carbon framework(Z-Co_(2)NiSe_(4)/BWC)is fabricated via hydrothermal assembly and further conversion method.Benefiting from its unique structure and multi-components,the obtained Z-Co_(2)NiSe_(4)/BWC electrode for supercapacitor delivers an excellent specific capacitance of 2,280 F·g^(-1)at 1 A·g^(-1).Impressively,the constructed asymmetric supercapacitor using Co_(2)NiSe_(4)/BWC as positive electrode and activated butterfly wings carbon as negative electrode acquires a high energy density of 42.9 Wh·kg^(-1)at a power density of 800 W·kg^(-1)with robust stability of 94.6%capacitance retention at 10 A·g^(-1)after 5,000 cycles.Moreover,the Z-Co_(2)NiSe_(4)/BWC as anode for sodium-ion batteries exhibits a high specific capacity of 568 mAh·g^(-1)at 0.1 A·g^(-1)and high cycling stability(maintaining 80.1%of the second cycle after 100 cycles).The outstanding electrochemical performances are ascribed to that the synergistic effect of bimetallic selenides and N-doped carbon improves electrochemical activities and conductivity.One-dimensional(1D)nanoneedles grown on 3D porous framework increase the exposure of redox-active sites,endow adequate transmission channels of electrons/ions,and guarantee stability of the electrode during charge/discharge processes.This study will shed light on the avenue towards extending such nanohybrids to excellent energy storage applications.Yanchun Xue Xingmei Guo Mengrong Wu Jiale Chen Mengting Duan Jing Shi Junhao Zhang Fu Cao Yuanjun Liu Qinghong Kong 2021Nano Research2021,14,10:3

17Electrochemical extraction of cerium and formation of Al–Ce alloy from CeO_2 assisted by AlCl_3 in LiCl–KCl melts显示文摘This work presents an electrochemical extraction of cerium and synthesization of Al–Ce alloy in LiCl–KCl melts on Mo and Al electrodes by chlorination of CeO2 using AlCl3 at 873 K. The cyclic voltammogram on Mo electrodes in LiCl–KCl–CeO2 melt showed no obvious reduction wave other than the reduction of Li(I). After the addition of AlCl3, the signals of the reaction of Ce(ⅡI)/Ce(0) and the synthesization of Al–Ce and Al–Li alloys were investigated by cyclic voltammetry, square-wave voltammetry, open-circuit chronopotentiometry and chronopotentiometry. These results indicated that AlCl3 can chloridize CeO2 and that it is possible to extract cerium and form Al–Ce and Al–Li–Ce alloys in LiCl–KCl–CeO2–AlCl3 melts. According to potentiostatic electrolysis, only the Al4 Ce layer coated the Al electrodes. 18A facile ionic liquid approach to prepare cellulose fiber with good mechanical properties directly from corn stalks显示文摘It is very difficult to directly spin the lignocellulose without pretreatment.Ionic liquids(ILs)are promising solvent to dissolve lignocellulose to prepare cellulose fiber.However,the degree of cellulose polymerization(DP)is reduced when lignocellulose is dissolved in ILs,and the lignin removal rate is low.The elongation at break and tensile strength of the fibers obtained by spinning the lignocellulose dissolved in ILs are poor.In this paper,preparing cellulose fiber directly from lignocellulose based on dissolving corn stalk via[C4mim]Cl-L-arginine binary system is achieved.It shows that the removal rate of lignin can reach 92.35%and the purity of cellulose can reach 85.32%after corn stalk was dissolved at 150℃C for 11.5 h when the mass fraction of arginine is 2.5%.The elongation at break of fiber reached 10.12%and the tensile strength reached 420 MPa.It is mainly due to the fact that L-arginine not only inhibits the degradation of cellulose but also promotes the delignination.Without any pulping or pretreatment,preparing cellulose fibers via direct dissolution and extrusion may provide a simple and effective way to prepare many novel cellulose materials.Jiming Yang Xingmei Lu Yanqiang Zhang Junli Xu Yongqing Yang Qing Zhou 2020Green Energy & Environment2020,5,2:2
19Shadow regions detection algorithm by adaptive narrowband two-phase Chan-Vese model显示文摘An adaptive narrowband two-phase Chan-Vese(ANBCV) model is proposed for im?proving the shadow regions detection performance of sonar images. In the first noise smoothing step, the anisotropic second-order neighborhood MRF(Markov Random Field, MRF) is used to describe the image texture feature parameters. Then, initial two-class segmentation is processed with the block mode /c-means clustering algorithm, to estimate the approximate position of the shadow regions. On this basis, the zero level set function is adaptively initialized by the approximate position of shadow regions. 20KOH-assisted aqueous synthesis of bimetallic metal-organic frameworks and their derived selenide composites for efficient lithium storage显示文摘To solve low efficiency,environmental pollution,and toxicity for synthesizing zeolitic imidazolate frameworks(ZIFs)in organic solvents,a KOH-assisted aqueous strategy is proposed to synthesize bimetallic ZIFs polyhedrons,which are used as precursors to prepare bimetallic selenide and N-doped carbon(NC)composites.Among them,Fe–Co–Se/NC retains the three-dimensional(3D)polyhedrons with mesoporous structure,and Fe–Co–Se nanoparticles are uniform in size and evenly distributed.When assessed as anode material for lithium-ion batteries,Fe–Co–Se/NC achieves an excellent initial specific capacity of 1165.9 m Ah·g^(-1)at 1.0 A·g^(-1),and the reversible capacity of Fe–Co–Se/NC anode is 1247.4 m Ah·g^(-1)after 550 cycles.It is attributed to that the uniform composite of bimetallic selenides and N-doped carbon can effectively tune redox active sites,the stable 3D structure of Fe–Co–Se/NCs guarantees the structural stability and wettability of the electrolyte,and the uniform distribution of Fe–Co–S nanoparticles in size esuppresses the volume expansion and accelerates the electrochemical reaction kinetics.Shuya Zhang Yanchun Xue Yutang Zhang Chengxing Zhu Xingmei Guo Fu Cao Xiangjun Zheng Qinghong Kong Junhao Zhang Tongxiang Fan 2023International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2023,30,4:2
