| 1 | Safety and Efficacy of Physical Thermal Ablation Combined Sorafenib for Hepatocellular Carcinoma:A Meta-analysis显示文摘Background and Aims:To compare the efficacy and safety of physical thermal ablation(PTA),including radiofrequency ablation(RFA)and microwave ablation(MWA),combined with sorafenib and physical thermal ablation alone for the control and treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)according to the available literature.Methods:Comprehensive searches were performed on PubMed,Embase,CNKI,the Cochrane Library,China Biomedical Literature Database(known as CBM),Weipu Journal,and Wanfang Database.Meta-analysis was performed using Revman 5.3 software.Results:A total of 15 studies,consisting of 2,227 HCC patients,were selected and included in this meta-analysis.Compared with the RFA-alone group,the patients in the RFA+sorafenib group had longer 1-,2-,and 3-year overall survival(all p<0.05),better overall efficacy(p<0.0001),longer radiofrequency interval(p<0.001),and lower 2-year recurrence rate(p=0.02).The 1-year overall survival(p=0.003)and overall efficacy(p=0.002)of the MWA+sorafenib group were also higher than those of the MWA-alone group.The incidences of adverse reactions in the RFA+sorafenib group,such as hand-foot skin reactions(p<0.001),diarrhea and constipation(p=0.0001),hypertension(p=0.009),and alopecia(p<0.001),were significantly higher than those in the RFA-alone group.Conclusions:RFA or MWA combined with sorafenib has produced a better therapeutic effect on HCC than physical thermal ablation alone;however,adverse reactions have been obvious.It is necessary to evaluate the safety of combination therapy,and pay close attention to the adverse reactions that develop in patients. | Mengdi Jin Qiong Yu Yahui Liu Weiling Xu Xueqi Fu Bai Ji | 2021 | Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2021,9,2: | 6 |

| 3 | Rational integration of defense and repair synergy on PEEK osteoimplants via biomimetic peptide clicking strategy显示文摘Polyetheretherketone(PEEK)has been widely used as orthopedic and dental materials due to excellent mechanical and physicochemical tolerance.However,its biological inertness,poor osteoinduction,and weak antibacterial activity make the clinical applications in a dilemma.Inspired by the mussel adhesion mechanism,here we reported a biomimetic surface strategy for rational integration and optimization of anti-infectivity and osteo-inductivity onto PEEK surfaces using a mussel foot proteins(Mfps)-mimic peptide with clickable azido terminal.The peptide enables mussel-like adhesion on PEEK biomaterial surfaces,leaving azido groups for the further steps of biofunctionalizations.In this study,antimicrobial peptide(AMP)and osteogenic growth peptide(OGP)were bioorthogonally clicked on the azido-modified PEEK biomaterials to obtain a dual-effect of host defense and tissue repair.Since bioorthogonal clicking allows precise collocation between AMP and OGP through changing their feeding molar ratios,an optimal PEEK surface was finally obtained in this research,which could long-term inhibit bacterial growth,stabilize bone homeostasis and facilitate interfacial bone regeneration.In a word,this upgraded mussel surface strategy proposed in this study is promising for the surface bioengineering of inert medical implants,in particular,achieving rational integration of multiple biofunctions to match clinical requirements. | Meng Li Jiaxiang Bai Huaqiang Tao Li Hao Weiling Yin Xiaoxue Ren Ang Gao Ning Li Miao Wang Shiyuan Fang Yaozeng Xu Liang Chen Huilin Yang Huaiyu Wang Guoqing Pan Dechun Geng | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,2: | 2 |

| 5 | Cost-Utility Analysis of Screening for Diabetic Retinopathy in China显示文摘Background.Diabetic retinopathy(DR)has been primarily indicated to cause vision impairment and blindness,while no studies have focused on the cost-utility of telemedicine-based and community screening programs for DR in China,especially in rural and urban areas,respectively.Methods.We developed a Markov model to calculate the cost-utility of screening programs for DR in DM patients in rural and urban settings from the societal perspective.The incremental cost-utility ratio(ICUR)was calculated for the assessment.Results.In the rural setting,the community screening program obtained 1 QALY with a cost of$4179(95%CI 3859 to 5343),and the telemedicine screening program had an ICUR of$2323(95%CI 1023 to 3903)compared with no screening,both of which satisfied the criterion of a significantly cost-effective health intervention.Likewise,community screening programs in urban areas generated an ICUR of$3812(95%CI 2906 to 4167)per QALY gained,with telemedicine screening at an ICUR of$2437(95%CI 1242 to 3520)compared with no screening,and both were also cost-effective.By further comparison,compared to community screening programs,telemedicine screening yielded an ICUR of 1212(95%CI 896 to 1590)per incremental QALY gained in rural setting and 1141(95%CI 859 to 1403)in urban setting,which both meet the criterion for a significantly cost-effective health intervention.Conclusions.Both telemedicine and community screening for DR in rural and urban settings were cost-effective in China,and telemedicine screening programs were more cost-effective. | Yue Zhang Weiling Bai Ruyue Li Yifan Du Runzhou Sun Tao Li Hong Kang Ziwei Yang Jianjun Tang Ningli Wang Hanruo Liu | 2022 | Health Data Science2022,,1: | 0 |

In this paper, we introduced an extended interactive multi-agent decision model for decentralized cyber defense. Based on the significant advantages of the cooperative multi-agent decision-making, the decentralized interactive decision model DI-MDPs and the corresponding interaction and retrieval algorithms are proposed. Then, we analyzed the interactive decision by the calculation and update processes of three matrices, the stability and evolutionary equilibrium of the proposed model are also analyzed. | 7 | SARS-CoV-2 Nsp8 induces mitophagy by damaging mitochondria显示文摘Autophagy plays an important role in the interaction between viruses and host cells.SARS-CoV-2 infection can disrupt the autophagy process in target cells.However,the precise molecular mechanism is still unknown.In this study,we discovered that the Nsp8 of SARS-CoV-2 could cause an increasing accumulation of autophagosomes by preventing the fusion of autophagosomes and lysosomes.From further investigation,we found that Nsp8 was present on mitochondria and can damage mitochondria to initiate mitophagy.The results of experiments with immunofluorescence revealed that Nsp8 induced incomplete mitophagy.Moreover,both domains of Nsp8 orchestrated their function during Nsp8-induced mitophagy,in which the N-terminal domain colocalized with mitochondria and the C-terminal domain induced auto/mitophagy.This novel finding expands our understanding of the function of Nsp8 in promoting mitochondrial damage and inducing incomplete mitophagy,which helps us to understand the etiology of COVID-19 as well as open up new pathways for creating SARS-CoV-2 treatment methods. | Shan Zong Yan Wu Weiling Li Qiang You Qian Peng Chenghai Wang Pin Wan Tao Bai Yanling Ma Binlian Sun Jialu Qiao | 2023 | Virologica Sinica2023,38,4: | 0 |
