| 1 | 影响慢性阻塞性肺病急性加重患者生活质量的危险因素显示文摘目的测定和评价慢性阻塞性肺病(COPD)急性加重患者的生活质量和潜在危险因素的发生率及其影响。方法研究两家大型医院因COPD急性加重入院的196个中重度COPD患者。在患者出院时和出院后1月稳定状态,测量肺功能指标、精神状态及用圣乔治呼吸问卷测定生活质量,并收集了患者的临床性状、社会性状和照料因素。结果196例患者中,吸烟、抑郁及嗜用镇痛剂、安眠药相当普遍,而完成肺康复、接种流感病毒疫苗和肺炎球菌疫苗以及看护支持却很少。生活质量的症状域均值为55.9,活动域均值为65,影响域均值为32.9,总体均值为46.5。多变量分析显示慢性黏液高分泌症、男性、抑郁、前1年多次入院和治疗依顺性差与症状域值低下独立显著相关;前1年多次入院、抑郁、严重气促和72岁以上老年与活动域值低下独立显著相关;抑郁、前1年多次入院、严重气促、病程长和重度吸烟与影响域值低下独立显著相关;抑郁、前1年多次入院、严重气促和病程长与总体数值低下独立显著相关(P<0.05)。结论COPD急性加重患者的生活质量低下与COPD严重程度、患者精神抑郁状态及照料这些可改善因素有关。 | 曹振英 Tan Wan Cheng Ng Tze Pin | 2005 | 上海第二医科大学学报2005,25,7: | 10 |

| 3 | Association of Overlapped and Un-overlapped Comorbidities with COVID-19 Severity and Treatment Outcomes: A Retrospective Cohort Study from Nine Provinces in China显示文摘Objective Several COVID-19 patients have overlapping comorbidities. The independent role of each component contributing to the risk of COVID-19 is unknown, and how some non-cardiometabolic comorbidities affect the risk of COVID-19 remains unclear.Methods A retrospective follow-up design was adopted. A total of 1,160 laboratory-confirmed patients were enrolled from nine provinces in China. Data on comorbidities were obtained from the patients’ medical records. Multivariable logistic regression models were used to estimate the odds ratio(OR) and 95% confidence interval(95% CI) of the associations between comorbidities(cardiometabolic or non-cardiometabolic diseases), clinical severity, and treatment outcomes of COVID-19.Results Overall, 158(13.6%) patients were diagnosed with severe illness and 32(2.7%) had unfavorable outcomes. Hypertension(2.87, 1.30–6.32), type 2 diabetes(T2 DM)(3.57, 2.32–5.49),cardiovascular disease(CVD)(3.78, 1.81–7.89), fatty liver disease(7.53, 1.96–28.96), hyperlipidemia(2.15, 1.26–3.67), other lung diseases(6.00, 3.01–11.96), and electrolyte imbalance(10.40, 3.00–26.10)were independently linked to increased odds of being severely ill. T2 DM(6.07, 2.89–12.75), CVD(8.47,6.03–11.89), and electrolyte imbalance(19.44, 11.47–32.96) were also strong predictors of unfavorable outcomes. Women with comorbidities were more likely to have severe disease on admission(5.46,3.25–9.19), while men with comorbidities were more likely to have unfavorable treatment outcomes(6.58, 1.46–29.64) within two weeks.Conclusion Besides hypertension, diabetes, and CVD, fatty liver disease, hyperlipidemia, other lung diseases, and electrolyte imbalance were independent risk factors for COVID-19 severity and poor treatment outcome. | 5 | Gene cloning and induced expression pattern of IRF4 and IRF10 in the Asian swamp eel(Monopterus albus)显示文摘The Asian swamp eel(Monopterus albus) is one of the most economically important freshwater fish in East Asia,but data on the immune genes of M.albus are scarce compared to other commercially important fish.A better understanding of the eel's immune responses may help in developing strategies for disease management,potentially improving yields and mitigating losses.In mammals,interferon regulatory factors(IRFs) play a vital role in both the innate and adaptive immune system; though among teleosts IRF4 and IRF10 have seldom been studied.In this study,we characterized IRF4 and IRF10 from M.albus(maIRF4 and maIRF10) and found that maIRF4 cDNA consists of 1 716 nucleotides encoding a 451 amino acid(aa) protein,while maIRF10 consists of 1 744 nucleotides including an open reading frame(ORF) of 1 236 nt encoding 411 aa.The maIRF10 gene was constitutively expressed at high levels in a variety of tissues,while maIRF4 showed a very limited expression pattern.Expression of maIRF4 and maIRF10 in head kidney,and spleen tissues was significantly up-regulated from 12 h to 48 h post-stimulation with polyinosinic: polycytidylic acid(poly I:C),lipopolysaccharide(LPS) and a common pathogenic bacteria Aeromonas hydrophila.These results suggest that IRF4 and IRF10 play roles in immune responses to both viral and bacterial infections in M.albus. | Qiao-Qing XU Dai-Qin YANG Rui TUO Jing WAN Ming-Xian CHANG Pin NIE | 2014 | Zoological Research2014,35,5: | 3 |
| 6 | Hydroxychavicol,a polyphenol from Piper betle leaf extract,induces cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in TP53-resistant HT-29 colon cancer cells显示文摘This study aims to elucidate the antiproliferative mechanism of hydroxychavicol(HC).Its effects on cell cycle,apoptosis,and the expression of c-Jun N-terminal kinase(JNK)and P38 mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)in HT-29 colon cancer cells were investigated.HC was isolated from Piper betle leaf(PBL)and verified by high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC),nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR),and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS).The cytotoxic effects of the standard drug 5-fluorouracil(5-FU),PBL water extract,and HC on HT-29 cells were measured after 24,48,and 72 h of treatment.Cell cycle and apoptosis modulation by 5-FU and HC treatments were investigated up to 30 h.Changes in phosphorylated JNK(pJNK)and P38(pP38)MAPK expression were observed up to 18 h.The half maximal inhibitory concentration(IC_(50))values of HC(30μg/mL)and PBL water extract(380μg/mL)were achieved at 24 h,whereas the IC_(50)of 5-FU(50μmol/L)was obtained at 72 h.Cell cycle arrest at the G0/G1 phase in HC-treated cells was observed from12 h onwards.Higher apoptotic cell death in HC-treated cells compared to 5-FU-treated cells(P<0.05)was observed.High expression of pJNK and pP38 MAPK was observed at 12 h in HC-treated cells,but not in 5-FU-treated HT-29 cells(P<0.05).It is concluded that HC induces cell cycle arrest and apoptosis of HT-29 cells,with these actions possibly mediated by JNK and P38 MAPK. | Aiysvariyah RAJEDADRAM Kar Yong PIN Sui Kiong LING See Wan YAN Mee Lee LOOI | 2021 | Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2021,22,2: | 2 |

| 12 | Dynamic phenotypic heterogeneity and the evolution of multiple RNA subtypes in hepatocellular carcinoma:the PLANET study显示文摘Intra-tumor heterogeneity(ITH) is a key challenge in cancer treatment, but previous studies have focused mainly on the genomic alterations without exploring phenotypic(transcriptomic and immune)heterogeneity. Using one of the largest prospective surgical cohorts for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)with multi-region sampling, we sequenced whole genomes and paired transcriptomes from 67 HCC patients(331 samples). We found that while genomic ITH was rather constant across stages, phenotypic ITH had a very different trajectory and quickly diversified in stage Ⅱ patients. Most strikingly, 30% of patients were found to contain more than one transcriptomic subtype within a single tumor. Such phenotypic ITH was found to be much more informative in predicting patient survival than genomic ITH and explains the poor efficacy of single-target systemic therapies in HCC. | 14 | Association of the genetic polymorphism of EPHX1 and EPHX2 with the susceptibility to chronic benzene poisoning显示文摘The aim of this study was to explore the association of the genetic polymorphism of EPHX1 and EPHX2 with the susceptibility to chronic benzene poisoning(CBP).A case-control study of 268 patients with CBP and 268 healthy workers matched by age and sex,all of whom were occupationally exposed to benzene,was conducted.The single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs,rs2854451,rs3738047,rs2234922 and rs1051741)of EPHX1 gene and the SNP(rs751141)of EPHX2 gene were tested by the TaqMan PCR method.In the subjects carrying the genotype of EPHX1 rs3738047 GG,the risk of CBP was decreased in the individuals simultaneously carrying EPHX1 rs2234922 G(P=0.02).Alternatively,in the subjects carrying the genotype of EPHX1 rs2234922 AA,the risk of CBP was increased in the individuals simultaneously carrying the allele of EPHX2 rs751141A(P=0.03).It was also found that there were potential interactions between alcohol consumption and the polymorphism of EPHX1 rs1051741(x_(H)^(2)=5.28,P=0.02)or rs2234922(x_(H)^(2)=6.71,P=0.01).Compared to individuals with EPHX1 rs1051741 CC or rs2234922 AA genotype in the drinkers,the risk of CBP in those carrying genotypes of EPHX1 rs1051741 CT+TT or rs2234922 AG+GG was decreased,respectively(P=0.04,P<0.01).Haplotype analysis of polymorphisms in EPHX1 showed that the risk of CBP was increased in the subjects with haplotype 2(rs2854451-A,rs3738047-G,rs2234922-A,rs1051741-C)or haplotype 4(rs2854451-G,rs3738047-A,rs2234922-G,rs1051741-T),but decreased in those with haplotype 6(rs2854451-G,rs3738047-G,rs2234922-G,rs1051741-T)or haplotype 10(rs2854451-A,rs3738047-A,rs2234922-G,rs1051741-T),respectively.Logistic regression analysis revealed that smoking might play a role in modifying the risk of CBP(OR=0.313,95%CI:0.123–0.794,P=0.015).The genetic polymorphism in EPHX1 may be associated with the risk of CBP in the Chinese occupational population and further research is needed for the association between the genetic polymorphism in EPHX2 and the susceptibility to CBP. | SUN Pin ZHANG Zhongbin WU Fen WAN Junxiang JIN Xibeng XIA Zhaolin | 2007 | Frontiers of Medicine2007,1,3: | 1 |

| 16 | SG-II-Up prototype final optics assembly:optical damage and clean-gas control显示文摘The Shenguang-II Upgrade(SG-II Up) facility is an under-construction high-power laser driver with eight beams, 24 kJ energy, 3 ns pulse duration and ultraviolet laser output, in the Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, China.The prototype design and experimental research of the prototype final optics assembly(FOA), which is one of the most important parts of the SG-II Up facility, have been completed on the ninth beam of the SG-II facility. Thirty-three shots were fired using 1-ω energy from 1000 to 4500 J and 3-ω energy from 500 to 2403 J with a 3 ns square pulse. During the experiments, emphasis was given to the process of optical damage and to the effects of clean-gas control. A numerical model of the FOA generated by the Integrated Computer Engineering and Manufacturing code for Computational Fluid Dynamics(ICEMCFD) demonstrated that a flux within 1–5 l s^(-1) and a 180 s period is effectual to avoid contaminant sputtering to the optics. | 18 | Astragaloside IV derivative HHQ16 ameliorates infarctioninduced hypertrophy and heart failure through degradation of lncRNA4012/9456显示文摘Reversing ventricular remodeling represents a promising treatment for the post-myocardial infarction(MI)heart failure(HF).Here,we report a novel small molecule HHQ16,an optimized derivative of astragaloside IV,which effectively reversed infarction-induced myocardial remodeling and improved cardiac function by directly acting on the cardiomyocyte to reverse hypertrophy.The effect of HHQ16 was associated with a strong inhibition of a newly discovered Egr2-affliated transcript Inc9456 in the heart.While minimally expressed in normal mouse heart,Inc9456 was dramatically upregulated in the heart subjected to left anterior descending coronary artery ligation(LADL)and in cardiomyocytes subjected to hypertrophic stimulation.The critical role of Inc9456 in cardiomyocyte hypertrophy was confirmed by specific overexpression and knockout in vitro.A physical interaction between Inc9456 and G3BP2 increased NF-kB nuclear translocation,triggering hypertrophy-related cascades.HHQ16 physically bound to Inc9456 with a high-affinity and induced its degradation.Cardiomyocyte-specific Inc9456 overexpression induced,but knockout prevented LADL-induced,cardiac hypertrophy and dysfunction.HHQ16 reversed the effect of Inc9456 overexpression while lost its protective role when Inc9456 was deleted,further confirming Inc9456 as the bona fide target of HHQ16.We further identified the human ortholog of Inc9456,also an Egr2-affliated transcript,Inc4012.Similarly,Inc4012 was significantly upregulated in hypertrophied failing hearts of patients with dilated cardiomyopathy.HHQ16 also specifically bound to Inc4012 and caused its degradation and antagonized its hypertrophic effects.Targeted degradation of pathological increased Inc4012/lnc9456 by small molecules might serve as a novel promising strategy to regress infarction-induced cardiac hypertrophy and HF. | Jingjing Wan Zhen Zhang hennan Wu Saisai Tianbei Zang Ge Jin Qingyan Sun Pin Wang Xin Luan Yili Yang Xuelin Zhan Lingyu Linda Ye Dayue Darrel Duan Xia Liu Weidong Zhang | 2023 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,11: | 0 |

| 20 | Factors Associated with Quality of Life in Acute Exacerbation of COPD显示文摘Objective To measure the QOLin patients with AECOPD and the frequency of potential risk factors, and to evaluate the as-sociation of risk factors with poor QOL in patients with AECOPD. Methods A study sample of 196 patients with moderate to severeCOPD admitted for acute exacerbations to two large general hospitals were studied. The St George QOL (SGQOL) scale, socio-demo-graphic, clinical and patient care characteristics, including depression and spirometry were ascertained in the stable state before dischargeand at one-month post discharge. Results There was a high prevalence of current or ex-heavy smokers, depression and consumption ofpsychotropic drugs, and lowprevalence of care giver support, pulmonary rehabilitation and vaccination. The mean scores for the differentdomains were 55.9 for Symptoms; 65.1 for Activity; 32.9 for Impact; and the mean of overall Total scores was 46.5. Multiple regressionanalysis showed that CMH, male, depression, previous frequent hospital readmissions and poor therapy compliance were independentlyrelated to worse Symptoms Scores. Previous frequent readmissions, depression, severe dyspnea and older age ( >72 years) were relatedto worse Activity Scores of SGQOL. Depression, previous frequent readmissions, severe dyspnea, long COPD duration(≥5years) andsevere smoking were related to worse Impact Scores of SGQOL. Depression, previous frequent readmissions, severe dyspnea and longCOPD duration(≥5years) were independently related to worse Total Scores of SGQOL.
