2Molten salts-modified MgO-based adsorbents for intermediate-temperature CO_2 capture: A review显示文摘Carbon dioxide(CO2) capture using magnesium oxide(MgO)-based adsorbents at intermediate temperatures has been regarded as a very prospective technology for their relatively high adsorption capacity,low cost, and wide availability. During the past few years, great effort has been devoted to the fabrication of molten salts-modified MgO-based adsorbents. The extraordinary progress achieved by coating with molten salts greatly promotes the CO_2 capture capacity of MgO-based adsorbents. Therefore, we feel it necessary to deliver a timely review on this type of CO_2 capturing materials, which will benefit the researchers working in both academic and industrial areas. In this work, we classified the molten saltsmodified MgO adsorbents into four categories:(1) homogenous molten salt-modified MgO adsorbents,(2) molten salt-modified double salts-based MgO adsorbents,(3) mixed molten salts-modified MgO adsorbents, and(4) molten salts-modified MgO-based mixed oxides adsorbents. This contribution critically reviews the recent developments in the synthetic method, adsorption capacity, reaction kinetics, promotion mechanism, operational conditions and regenerability of the molten salts-modified MgO CO_2 adsorbents. 3Preparation of modified SiO_2 colloidal spheres with succinic acid and the assembly of colloidal crystals显示文摘SiO2 colloidal spheres were synthesized by St-ber method. In order to enhance surface charge of the SiO2 spheres, they were modified with succinic acid. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) shows that the average size of modified SiO2 spheres is 473 nm, and its distribution standard deviation is less than 5%; Fourier-transform infrared spectra (FT-IR) and X-ray photoelectron spectrometer (XPS) results indicate that one end of succinic acid is chemically bonded to the SiO2 spheres through esterification; Zeta potential of the modified SiO2 spheres in water solution is improved from -53.72 to -67.46 mV, and surface charge density of the modified SiO2 spheres is enhanced from 0.19 to 0.94 μC/cm2. SiO2 colloidal crystal was fabricated from aqueous colloidal solution by the vertical deposition method at 40℃ and 60% relative humidity. SEM images show that the sample of SiO2 colloidal crystal is face-centered cubic (fcc) structure with its (111) planes parallel to the substrate. 4Variant rs2237892 of KCNQ1 Is Potentially Associated with Hypertension and Macrovascular Complications in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in A Chinese Han Population显示文摘KCNQ1 has been identified as a susceptibility gene of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM) in Asian populations through genome-wide association studies. However, studies on the association between gene polymorphism of KCNQ1 and T2 DM complications remain unclear. To further analyze the association between different alleles at the single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP) rs2237892 within KCNQ1 and TD2 M and its complications, we conducted a case-control study in a Chinese Han population. The C allele of rs2237892 variant contributed to susceptibility to T2DM(odds ratio [OR], 1.45; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.20–1.75). Genotypes CT(OR, 1.97; 95% CI,1.24–3.15) and CC(OR, 2.49; 95% CI, 1.57–3.95) were associated with an increased risk of T2 DM. Multivariate regression analysis was performed with adjustment of age, gender, and body mass index. 5Progress,problems and prospects for standardization of greenhouse-related technologies显示文摘In recent years,the scale of greenhouse grows rapidly and steadily in China,which promotes the development of greenhouse technology and the demand for standardized technology.However,the standardization process of greenhouse industry in China has been facing with the problem of unbalanced development with the practical standard system for many years.To solve these problems,the most characteristic greenhouse designs used in China contributing to this work are presented in detail.And the development of standard system and the standardization efforts of them are summarized and analyzed in relationship to the data presented in this paper.In this way the origin of greenhouse standard system in China and context of the system development and standardization of greenhouse structure are clarified.It was also found that the development and iterative update of greenhouse standard system are under the influences of enterprises which as the participation of standard constitutors were proved to play an important role in promoting the standardization development of greenhouse.The outcome of this work may be utilized to perfect the greenhouse standardization system and improve the greenhouse standardization efficiency that dominate the facility agriculture in China.Yanzhao Ren Minjuan Wang Iftikhar Ahmed Saeeda Xuerui Chen Wanlin Gao 2018International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,1:4
6Research on seismic performance of shear walls with concrete filled steel tube columns and concealed steel trusses显示文摘In order to further improve the seismic performance of RC shear walls, a new composite shear wall with concrete filled steel tube (CFT) columns and concealed steel trusses is proposed. This new shear wall is a double composite shear wall; the first composite being the use of three different force systems, CFT, steel truss and shear wall, and the second the use of two different materials, steel and concrete. Three 1/5 scaled experimental specimens: a traditional RC shear wall, a shear wall with CFT columns, and a shear wall with CFT columns and concealed steel trusses, were tested under cyclic loading and the seismic performance indices of the shear walls were comparatively analyzed. Based on the data from these experiments, a thorough elastic-plastic finite element analysis and parametric analysis of the new shear walls were carried out using ABAQUS software. The finite element results of deformation, stress distribution, and the evolution of cracks in each phase were compared with the experimental results and showed good agreement. A mechanical model was also established for calculating the load-carrying capacity of the new composite shear walls. 7Spray drift characteristics test of unmanned aerial vehicle spray unit under wind tunnel conditions显示文摘Since the 2010s,unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)sprayer was applied more and more widely for low-volume aerial pesticides spraying operations in China.However,droplets from the UAV sprayer have a higher drift risk due to more fine droplets sprayed and a higher flight height than ground sprayers.Study on UAV spray drift has been a new hot spot within the field of pesticide application technology.Most of previous studies used direct field methods for spray drift,but the meteorological conditions in field were unstable and uncontrollable,and drift research under an actual operation state in wind tunnel has not been reported.Therefore,25 treatments of wind tunnel measurements and droplets spectrum tests of 10 models of nozzles were conducted to explore the influence factor on spray drift characteristics of UAV chemicals application in this study.A spray unit with a rotor of UAV was innovatively installed in wind tunnel,and the airstream from the wind tunnel was regarded as the relative moving natural wind to simulate the flight status.The airborne and the sediment spray drift was measured to study the effects of the nozzle type and size(flat fan,hollow cone and air-inclusion nozzles),flight speed,adjuvant(DRS-60,Y-20079,MF and G-611)and meteorological parameters(20°C&40%,20°C&80%,30°C&40%and 30°C&60%).The drift potential(DP)and the drift potential reduction percentage(DPRP)in vertical and horizontal directions were obtained for each test.Both nozzle type and size had an impact on the spray drift potential obviously by affecting the droplet size and the ratio of fine droplets,and the regression linear models between DPRPV/DPRPH and DV50,V75 were established(R2=0.934/0.925).Flight speed also had a significant effect on the spray drift characteristics,and reducing the flight speed could increase the DP effectively.Adding spray adjuvants could affect the DP under experimental meteorological parameters,and the anti-drift performance ranked in the order of DRS-60>MF>Y-20079>G-611.Recommendations were proposed in order to reduce the spray drift for UAV sprayer’s operation.These findings can contribute to provide guidelines and technical support for the wind tunnel spray drift tests of UAV and the field operation regulation of unmanned aerial PPP application.Changling Wang Aijun Zeng Xiongkui He Jianli Song Andreas Herbst Wanlin Gao 2020International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2020,13,3:3

9FLEXURAL WAVE DISPERSION IN MULTI-WALLED CARBON NANOTUBES CONVEYING FLUIDS显示文摘Motivated by the great potential of carbon nanotubes for developing nanofluidic devices,this paper presents a nonlocal elastic,Timoshenko multi-beam model with the second order of strain gradient taken into consideration and derives the corresponding dispersion relation of flexural wave in multi-walled carbon nanotubes conveying fluids.The study shows that the moving flow reduces the phase velocity of flexural wave of the lowest branch in carbon nanotubes.The phase velocity of flexural wave of the lowest branch decreases with an increase of flow velocity.However,the effects of flow velocity on the other branches of the wave dispersion are not obvious.The effect of microstructure characterized by nonlocal elasticity on the dispersion of flexural wave becomes more and more remarkable with an increase in wave number.Lifeng Wang Wanlin Guo Haiyan Hu 2009Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica2009,22,6:3
10Materials for evaporation-driven hydrovoltaic technology显示文摘Water constitutes the largest energy carrier on earth,absorbing more than 70%of the solar energy received by the earth's surface,yet its low exploitation has been a constant concern.The hydrovoltaic effect is an emerging technology that generates electricity through the direct interaction between nanomaterials and water of various forms(raindrops,waves,flows,moisture,and natural evaporation).Especially,the evaporation-driven hydrovoltaic effect is a spontaneous and ubiquitous process that can directly convert thermal energy from the surrounding environment into electricity without the demand for additional mechanical work,which shows unique advantages compared with other hydrovoltaic effects.A variety of nanostructured materials have been steadily developed for evaporation-driven hydrovoltaic devices(EHDs)in recent years.However,there has been a lack of a clear specification on the selection and design of materials for improving device performance.Herein,we first analyze the mechanisms of EHDs followed by a summarization of the recent advances in materials,including carbon materials,biomass-based materials,metal oxides,composite materials,and others.We then discuss the strategies for improving the energy conversion efficiency and the output power in terms of structural design,surface modification,and interface treatment.Finally,we provide an outlook on the potential applications of electricity generation,sensors,and desalination technology,as well as the challenges and prospects for the development of this emerging technology in the future.Chunxiao Zheng Weicun Chu Sunmiao Fang Jin Tan Xiaofan Wang Wanlin Guo 2022Interdisciplinary Materials2022,1,4:3
11Asymmetric Ridge–Furrow and Film Cover Improves Plant Morphological Traits and Light Utilization in Rain-Fed Maize显示文摘Light is one of the most important natural resources for plant growth. Light interception(LI) and use efficiency(LUE) are often affected by the structure of canopy caused by growing pattern and agronomy managements. Agronomy practices, such as the ridge–furrow system and plastic film cover, might affect the leaf morphology and then light transmission within the canopy, thus change light extinction coefficient(k), and LI and LUE. The objective of this study is to quantify LI and LUE in rain-fed maize(Zea Mays L.), a major cropping system in Northeast China,under different combinations of ridge–furrow and film covering ratios. The tested ridge–furrow system(DRF:'double ridges and furrows') was asymmetric and alternated with wide ridge(0.70 m in width and 0.15 m in height),narrow furrow(0.10 m), narrow ridge(0.40 m in width and 0.20 m in height), and narrow furrow(0.10 m). Field experiments were conducted in 2013 and 2014 in Jilin Province, Northeast China. Four treatments were tested: no ridges and plastic film cover(control, NRF), ridges without film cover(DRF_0), ridges with 58% film cover(DRF_(58)),and ridges with 100% film cover(DRF_(100)). DRF_0 significantly increased LI by 9% compared with NRF, while film cover showed a marginal improvement. Specific leaf area in DRF experiments with film cover was significantly lower than in NRF, and leaf angle was 16% higher than in NRF, resulting in a 4% reduction in k. LUE of maize was not increased by DRF_0, but was significantly enhanced by covering film in other DRF experiments, especially by22% in DRF_(100). The increase of LUE by film cover was due to a greater biomass production and a lower assimilation portioning to vegetative organs, which caused a higher harvest index. 12Inflammation-induced inhibition of chaperone-mediated autophagy maintains the immunosuppressive function of murine mesenchymal stromal cells显示文摘Macroautophagy has been implicated in modulating the therapeutic function of mesenchymal stromal cells(MSCs).However,the biological function of chaperone-mediated autophagy(CMA)in MSCs remains elusive.Here,we found that CMA was inhibited in MSCs in response to the proinflammatory cytokines interferon-γ(IFN-γ)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α).In addition,suppression of CMA by knocking down the CMA-related lysosomal receptor lysosomal-associated membrane protein 2(LAMP-2A)in MSCs significantly enhanced the immunosuppressive effect of MSCs on T cell proliferation,and as expected,LAMP-2A overexpression in MSCs exerted the opposite effect on T cell proliferation.This effect of CMA on the immunosuppressive function of MSCs was attributed to its negative regulation of the expression of chemokine C-X-C motif ligand 10(CXCL10),which recruits inflammatory cells,especially T cells,to MSCs,and inducible nitric oxide synthase(iNOS),which leads to the subsequent inhibition of T cell proliferation via nitric oxide(NO).Mechanistically,CMA inhibition dramatically promoted IFN-γplus TNF-α-induced activation of NF-κB and STAT1,leading to the enhanced expression of CXCL10 and iNOS in MSCs.Furthermore,we found that IFN-γplus TNF-α-induced AKT activation contributed to CMA inhibition in MSCs.More interestingly,CMA-deficient MSCs exhibited improved therapeutic efficacy in inflammatory liver injury.Taken together,our findings established CMA inhibition as a critical contributor to the immunosuppressive function of MSCs induced by inflammatory cytokines nd highlighted a previously unknown function of CMA.Jie Zhang Jiefang Huang Yuting Gu Mingxing Xue Fengtao Qian Bei Wang Wanlin Yang Hongshuang Yu Qiwei Wang Xin Guo Xinyuan Ding Jina Wang Min Jin Yanyun Zhang 2021Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,6:3
13STRENGTH, PLASTICITY, INTERLAYER INTERACTIONS AND PHASE TRANSITION OF LOW-DIMENSIONAL NANOMATERIALS UNDER MULTIPLE FIELDS显示文摘Atoms are hold together to form different materials and devices through short range interactions such as chemical bonds and long range interactions such as the van der Waals force and electromagnetic interactions. Quantum mechanics is powerful to describe the short range interactions of materials at the nanometer scale, while molecular mechanics and dynamics based on empirical potentials are able to simulate material behaviors at much large scales, but weak in handling of processes including charge transfer and redistributions, such as mechanical-electric coupling of functional nanomaterials, plastic deformation, fracture and phase transition of nanomaterials. These issues are also challenging to quantum mechanics which needs to be extended to van der Waals distance and larger spatial as well as temporal scales. 14Haptic rendering for dental training system显示文摘Immersion and interaction are two key features of virtual reality systems, which are especially impor- tant for medical applications. Based on the requirement of motor skill training in dental surgery, haptic rendering method based on triangle model is investigated in this paper. Multi-rate haptic rendering architecture is proposed to solve the contradiction between fidelity and efficiency requirements. Real- time collision detection algorithm based on spatial partition and time coherence is utilized to enable fast contact determination. Proxy-based collision response algorithm is proposed to compute surface contact point. Cutting force model based on piecewise contact transition model is proposed for dental drilling simulation during tooth preparation. Velocity-driven levels of detail haptic rendering algorithm is proposed to maintain high update rate for complex scenes with a large number of triangles. Haptic- visual collocated dental training prototype is established using half-mirror solution. Typical dental op- erations have been realized including dental caries exploration, detection of boundary within dental cross-section plane, and dental drilling during tooth preparation. 18Kinetics of austenite growth and bainite transformation during reheating and cooling treatments of high strength microalloyed steel produced by sub-rapid solidification显示文摘First,strip cast samples of high strength microalloyed steel with sub-rapid solidification characteristics were prepared by simulated strip casting technique.Next,the isothermal growth of austenite grain during the reheating treatment of strip casts was observed in situ through confocal laser scanning microscope(CLSM).The results indicated that the time exponent of grains growth suddenly rise when the isothermal temperature higher than 1000℃.And the activation energy for austenite grain growth were calculated to be 538.0 kJ/mol in the high temperature region(above 1000℃)and 693.2 kJ/mol in the low temperature region(below 1000℃),respectively.Then,the kinetics model of austenite isothermal growth was established,which can predict the austenite grain size during isothermal hold very well.Besides,high density of second phase particles with small size was found during the isothermal hold at the low temperature region,leading to the refinement of austenite grain.After isothermal hold at different temperature for 1800 s,the bainite transformation in microalloyed steel strip was also observed in situ during the continuous cooling process.And growth rates of bainite plates with different nucleation positions and different prior austenite grain size(PAGS)were calculated.It was indicated that the growth rate of the bainite plate is not only related to the nucleation position but also to the PAGS.Wanlin Wang Lankun Wang Peisheng Lyu 2023International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2023,30,2:1

20Bending-induced extension in two-dimensional crystals显示文摘We find by ab initio simulations that significant overall tensile strain can be induced by pure bending in a wide range of two-dimensional crystals perpendicular to the bending moment, just like an accordion being bent to open.This bending-induced tensile strain increases in a power law with bent curvature and can be over 20% in monolayered black phosphorus and transition metal dichalcogenides at a moderate curvature of 2 nm-1but more than an order weaker in graphene and hexagon boron nitride.
