1Molten salts-modified MgO-based adsorbents for intermediate-temperature CO_2 capture: A review显示文摘Carbon dioxide(CO2) capture using magnesium oxide(MgO)-based adsorbents at intermediate temperatures has been regarded as a very prospective technology for their relatively high adsorption capacity,low cost, and wide availability. During the past few years, great effort has been devoted to the fabrication of molten salts-modified MgO-based adsorbents. The extraordinary progress achieved by coating with molten salts greatly promotes the CO_2 capture capacity of MgO-based adsorbents. Therefore, we feel it necessary to deliver a timely review on this type of CO_2 capturing materials, which will benefit the researchers working in both academic and industrial areas. In this work, we classified the molten saltsmodified MgO adsorbents into four categories:(1) homogenous molten salt-modified MgO adsorbents,(2) molten salt-modified double salts-based MgO adsorbents,(3) mixed molten salts-modified MgO adsorbents, and(4) molten salts-modified MgO-based mixed oxides adsorbents. This contribution critically reviews the recent developments in the synthetic method, adsorption capacity, reaction kinetics, promotion mechanism, operational conditions and regenerability of the molten salts-modified MgO CO_2 adsorbents. 2Designing high-strength titanium alloy using pseudo-spinodal mechanism through diffusion multiple experiment and CALPHAD calculation显示文摘This study used the pseudo-spinodal mechanism to obtain the ultrafineαphase for designing highstrength titanium alloy.Diffusion multiple experiments were designed to find the composition range of TM-x Mo-y V alloy(TM:Ti-4.5 Al-2 Cr-2.5 Nb-2 Zr-1 Sn)for obtaining ultrafineαphase.CALPHAD results confirm that when the alloy composition is located near the intersection of theαandβphase free energy curves,the alloy will undergo pseudo-spinodal transformation and obtain the ultrafineαphase.The designed TM-6 Mo-3 V alloy has a yield strength of 1411 MPa and an elongation of 6.5%.The strength of the alloy depends on the thickness,fraction of theαphase and the solid solution strengthening effect of the alloying elements.The deformation mechanism of the alloy is the dislocation slip of theαandβphases and the twin deformation of theαphase.The large number ofα/βinterfaces produced by the fineαphase is the main reason for limiting the ductility of the alloy.The use of the pseudo-spinodal mechanism combined with diffusion multiple experiments and CALPHAD is an effective method for designing high-strength titanium alloys.Di Wu Libin Liu Lijun Zeng Wenguang Zhu Wanlin Wang Xiaoyong Zhang Junfeng Hou Baoliang Liu Jiafeng Lei Kechao Zhou 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,15:3
3Haptic rendering for dental training system显示文摘Immersion and interaction are two key features of virtual reality systems, which are especially impor- tant for medical applications. Based on the requirement of motor skill training in dental surgery, haptic rendering method based on triangle model is investigated in this paper. Multi-rate haptic rendering architecture is proposed to solve the contradiction between fidelity and efficiency requirements. Real- time collision detection algorithm based on spatial partition and time coherence is utilized to enable fast contact determination. Proxy-based collision response algorithm is proposed to compute surface contact point. Cutting force model based on piecewise contact transition model is proposed for dental drilling simulation during tooth preparation. Velocity-driven levels of detail haptic rendering algorithm is proposed to maintain high update rate for complex scenes with a large number of triangles. Haptic- visual collocated dental training prototype is established using half-mirror solution. Typical dental op- erations have been realized including dental caries exploration, detection of boundary within dental cross-section plane, and dental drilling during tooth preparation. 4Ultrasmall Ga-ICG nanoparticles based gallium ion/photodynamic synergistic therapy to eradicate biofilms and against drug-resistant bacterial liver abscess显示文摘Pyogenic liver abscess and keratitis are aggressive bacterial infections and the treatment has failed to eradicate bacteria in infectious sites completely owing to the currently severe drug resistance to existing antibiotics.Here,we report a simple and efficient one-step development of ultrasmall non-antibiotic nanoparticles(ICG-Ga NPs)containing clinically approved gallium(Ⅲ)(Ga^(3+))and liver targeting indocyanine green(ICG)molecules to eradicate multi-drug resistant(MDR)bacteria thought the synergetic effect of photodynamic therapy and iron metabolism blocking.The ICG-Ga NPs induced photodynamic effect could destroy the bacterial membrane,further boost the endocytosis of Ga^(3+),then replace iron in bacteria cells to disrupt bacterial iron metabolism,and demonstrate the synergetic bacterial killing and biofilm disrupting effects.The ICG-Ga NPs show an excellent therapeutic effect against extended spectrumβ-lactamases Escherichia coli(ESBL E.coli)and significantly improve treatment outcomes in infected liver abscess and keratitis.Meanwhile,the ultrasmall size of ICG-Ga NPs could be cleared rapid via renal clearance route,guaranteeing the biocompatibility.The protective effect and good biocompatibility of ICG-Ga NPs will facilitate clinical treatment of bacteria infected diseases and enable the development of next-generation non-antibiotic antibacterial agents.Tingting Xie Yuchen Qi Yangyang Li Feilu Zhang Wanlin Li Danni Zhong Zhe Tang Min Zhou 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,11:2
5Response of aerobic sludge to AHL-mediated QS:Granulation,simultaneous nitrogen and phosphorus removal performance显示文摘The effects of different species and concentrations’signal molecules on aerobic activated sludge system were investigated through batch experiments.Results showed that the fastest NH^(+)_(4)-N oxidization rate and the most extracellular polymeric substances(EPS)secretion were obtained by adding 5 nmol/L N-hexanoyl-l-homoserine lactone(C_(6)-HSL)into the aerobic activated sludge.Further study investigated the correlation among N-acyl-homoserine lactones-mediated quorum sensing(AHLs-mediated QS),nutrient removal performances and microbial communities with the long-term addition of 5 nmol/L C_(6)-HSL.It was found that C_(6)-HSL-manipulation could enhance the stability and optimize the decontamination performance of aerobic granular sludge(AGS)system.Microbial compositions considerably shifted with long-term C_(6)-HSL-manipulation.Exogenous C_(6)-HSL-manipulation inhibited quorum quenching-related(QQ-related)activities and enhanced QS-related activities during the stable period.The proposed C_(6)-HSL-manipulation might be a potential technology to inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria in AGS,which could provide a theoretical foundation for the realization of more stable biological wastewater treatments.Jia Shuai Xiaoling Hu Bin Wang Wanlin Lyu Rongfan Chen Wenbin Guo Hongyu Wang Dao Zhou 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,11:1

7Wetting behavior of CaO-Al_(2)O_(3)-based mold flux with various BaO and MgO contents on the steel substrate显示文摘The Interfacial phenomena in mold have a great impact on the smooth operation of continuous casting process and the quality of the casting product.In this paper,the wetting behavior of CaO-Al_(2)O_(3)-based mold flux with different BaO and MgO contents was studied.The results showed that the contact angle between molten flux and interstitial free(IF)steel substrate increased from 62.4°to 74.5°with the increase of BaO content from 3 wt%to 7 wt%,while it decreased from 62.4°to 51.3°with the increase of MgO content from 3 wt%to 7 wt%.The interfacial tension also increased from 1630.3 to 1740.8 mN/m when the BaO content increased,but it reduced from 1630.3 to 1539.7 mN/m with the addition of MgO.The changes of contact angle and interfacial tension were mainly due to the fact that the bridging oxygen(O^(0)) at the interface was broken into non-bridging oxygen(O^(-)) and free oxygen(O_(2-)) by MgO.However,more O^(-) and O_(2-) connected into O^(0) when BaO was added,since the charge compensation effect of BaO was so stronger that it offset the effect of providing O_(2-).Lejun Zhou Hao Luo Wanlin Wang Houfa Wu Erzhuo Gao You Zhou Daoyuan Huang 2022International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2022,29,6:0
8Obtaining accurate measurements of the sea surface height from a GPS buoy显示文摘A dedicated GPS buoy is designed for calibration and validation(Cal/Val)of satellite altimeters since 2014.In order to evaluate the accuracy of the sea surface height(SSH)measured by the GPS buoy,twelve campaigns have been done within China sea area between 2014 and 2021.In six of these campaigns,two static Global Navigation Satellite System stations were installed at distances of<1 km and 19 km from the buoy to assess how the baseline length influenced the derived SSH from the buoy solutions.The GPS buoy data was processed using the GAMIT/GLOBK software+TRACK module and CSRS-PPP tool to achieve the SSH.The SSH was compared with conventionally tide gauge(TG)data to evaluate the accuracy of the buoy with the standard deviation of the height element.The results showed that the difference in the standard deviation of the SSH from the buoy and the TG was less than 16 mm.The SSHs processed with different ephemeris(Ultra-Rapid,Rapid,Final)were not significantly different.When the baseline length was 19 km,the SSH solution of the GPS buoy performed well,with standard bias of less than 26 mm between the heights measured by the buoy and TG,meaning that the buoy could be used for Cal/Val of altimeters.The bias between the Canadian Spatial Reference System-precise point positioning tool and the TRACK varied a lot,and some of them were over 130 mm.This deemed too high to be useful for Cal/Val of satellite altimeters.Moreover,the GPS buoy solutions processed by GAMIT/GLOBK software+TRACK module were used for in-orbit Cal/Val of HY-2B/C satellites in ten campaigns.The SSH and significant wave height of the altimeters showed good agreements with the GPS buoy solutions.Wanlin Zhai Jianhua Zhu Chuntao Chen Wu Zhou Longhao Yan Yufei Zhang Xiaoqi Huang Kai Guo 2023Acta Oceanologica Sinica2023,42,6:0
9Stable partial nitritation of mature landfill leachate in a continuous flow bioreactor:Long-term performance,microbial community evolution,and mechanisms显示文摘A continuous flow bioreactor was operated for 300 days to investigate partial nitritation(PN)of mature landfill leachate,establishing the long-term performance of the system in terms of the microbial community composition,evolution,and interactions.The stable operation phase(31-300 d)began after a 30 days of start-up period,reaching an average nitrite accumulation ratio(NAR)of 94.43%and a ratio of nitrite nitrogen to ammonia nitrogen(NO_(2)^(−)-N/NH_(4)^(+)-N)of 1.16.Some fulvic-like and humic-like compounds and proteins were effectively degraded in anaerobic and anoxic tanks,which was consistent with the corresponding abundance of methanogens and syntrophic bacteria in the anaerobic tank,and organic matter degrading bacteria in the anoxic tank.The ammonia-oxidizing bacteria(AOB)Nitrosomonas was found to be the key functional bacteria,exhibiting an increase in abundance from 0.27%to 6.38%,due to its collaborative interactions with organic matter degrading bacteria.In-situ inhibition of nitrite-oxidizing bacteria(NOB)was achieved using a combination of free ammonia(FA)and free nitrous acid(FNA),low dissolved oxygen(DO)with fewer bioavailable organics conditions were employed to maintain stable PN and a specific ratio of NO_(2)^(−)-N/NH_(4)^(+)-N,without an adverse impact on AOB.The synergistic relationships between AOB and both denitrifying bacteria and organic matter degrading bacteria,were found to contribute to the enhanced PN performance and microbial community structure stability.These findings provide a theoretical guidance for the effective application of PN-Anammox for mature landfill leachate treatment.Xiaoling Hu Jianyang Song Yantong Ji Chaojing Li Jia Wei Wanlin Lyu Bin Wang Wenbin Guo Rongfan Chen Hongyu Wang Dao Zhou Qian Zhang 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,11:0
10Aligned Ni nanowires towards highly stretchable electrode显示文摘Easy fabrication of super-stretchable electrodes can pave the way for smart and wearable electronics.Using drop casting unidirectional nickel nanowires with polyurethane matrix,we fabricated a super-stretchable film with high electric conductivity.The as-fabricated film can withstand a 300%tensile strain in the direction perpendicular to nanowires,owing to the transformation of percolating nanowire network from 2D to 3D.In contrast to the decreased film conductivities under large tension in most stretchable electrodes,which usually associate with fractures and irreversible deformations,our film conductivity can increase with the applied strain.This probably benefits from the enhanced electrical contacts between twisted nanowires under tension.The developed super-stretchable film with unprecedented behavior in this work sheds light on the facile fabrication of super-stretchable electrodes with durable performance.LI JiDong NIU JiYuan LI XueMei ZHOU JianXin HU ZhiLi GUO WanLin 2020Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,10:0

12Formation of One-Dimensional van der Waals Heterostructures via Self-Assembly of Blue Phosphorene Nanoribbons to Carbon Nanotubes显示文摘Van der Waals heterostructures composed of low-dimensional atomic layers host rich physics for new device applications,such as magic-angle twisted bilayer graphene and coaxial multi-walled hetero-nanotubes.Aside from exploring their abnormal physical behavior,fabrication of such structures also presents a great challenge to this area,owing to the subtle and sensitive interactions among neighboring layers.Here we show by molecular dynamics simulations that narrow blue phosphorene nanoribbons can be encapsulated into carbon nanotubes driven by van der Waals interactions and form one-dimensional heterostructures.It shows that by varying carbon nanotube diameters and nanoribbon width,the nanoribbons can either retain their original straight structures or twist into tubular structures.Wrapping phases are also observed for large-sized blue phosphorus.It is found that the underlying mechanism originates from the competition between van der Waals energy and bending energy induced by tube curvature.A phase diagram of the resultant 1D structure is thus obtained based on a simple analysis of energetics.The results are expected to stimulate further experimental efforts in fabricating one-dimensional van der Waals heterostructues with desired functionality.Yang Sun Kun Zhou Ruijie Wang Zhuhua Zhang Chun Tang Wanlin Guo 2022Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica2022,35,6:0
13Dynamically-evolved surface heterojunction in iridium nanocrystals boosting acidic oxygen evolution and overall water splitting显示文摘Simultaneously realizing improved activity and stability of acidic oxygen evolution reaction(OER) electrocatalysts is highly promising for developing cost-effective sustainable energy in the splitting of water technique.Herein,we report iridium nanocrystals embedded into 3D conductive clothes(Ir-NCT/CC) as a low iridium electrocatalyst realizing ultrahigh acidic OER activity and robust stability.The well-designed Ir-NCT/CC requires a low overpotential of 202 mV to reach the current density of 10 mA cm^(-2)with a high mass activity of 1754 A g^(-1).Importantly,in acidic overall water splitting,Ir-NCT/CC merely delivers a cell voltage of 1.469 V at a typical current density of 10 mA cm^(-2)and also maintains robust durability under continuous operation.We identify that a low working voltage drives the formation of a highly stable amorphous IrOxactive phase over the surface of Ir nanocrystals(surface heterojunction IrOx/Ir-NCT) during operating conditions,which contributes to an effective and durable OER process.Chenyu Yang Xiuxiu Zhang Qizheng An Meihuan Liu Wanlin Zhou Yuanli Li Fengchun Hu Qinghua Liu Hui Su 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,3:0
14One-dimensional Incremental Constitutive Relation of SMA Wire Reinforced Smart Composites with Damages显示文摘A new Martensitic transformation kinetic model for shape memory alloy(SMA)is proposed based on the phenomenological description of the Martensitic transformation heat flow-temperature curve and on the linear relationship between the partial derivatives of Martensite fraction and of Gbbis free energy with respect to the temperature.A meso-mechanical model is developed to describe the longitudinal stiffness reduction and thermo-dilatation variation of the composites caused by fiber breaking or fiber peeling off the base material. 18The effect of traditional Chinese medicine rehabilitation exercise(pulmonary Daoyin)in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease:A systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘Objective:Previous research has demonstrated that pulmonary Daoyin could be an efficacious way to ameliorate the physical and psychological state of sufferers with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)and bolster the quality of life.However,the results are not consistent.Thus,the objective of this research is to assess the impacts of pulmonary Daoyin in individuals with COPD.Methods:Relevant articles were searched in Web of Science,Cochrane Library,PubMed,EMBASE,SinoMed,CNKI,Wanfang,and VIP from database inception to January 2024.Results:There were a total of 15 randomized controlled trials(RCTs)included in this meta-analysis involving 1732 patients,of which 864 participated in the intervention group and 868 in the control group.When comparing with the control group,the COPD patients practicing pulmonary Daoyin demonstrated a significant improvement in 6 min walking distance(mean difference[MD]=24.53,95%confidence interval[CI][18.55,30.52],P<0.00001),forced expiratory volume in the 1 s(FEV_(1))(MD=0.39,95%CI[0.18,0.59],P=0.0002),percentage of FEV_(1)to the predicted value(FEV_(1)%)(MD=5.35,95%CI[3.22,7.48],P<0.0001),the forced vital capacity(FVC)(MD=0.39,95%CI[0.06,0.73],P=0.02),percentage of FVC to the predicted value(FVC%)(MD=7.52,95%CI[4.91,10.13],P<0.00001),the ratio of FEV_(1)/FVC(MD=4.95,95%CI[0.91,8.99],P=0.02),peak expiratory flow rate(standardized MD=0.98,95%CI[0.74,1.22],P<0.00001),modified Medical Research Council(mMRC)scale(MD=-0.47,95%CI[-0.89,-0.04],P=0.03),and Borg scale(MD=-0.65,95%CI[-0.75,-0.55],P<0.00001).Conclusions:Our findings may illuminate the influence of pulmonary Daoyin on exercise ability,breathlessness,and pulmonary function in COPD patients.More rigorous RCTs with larger samples and longer-term interventions will be required moving forward.Yuyin CHEN Yuhua QIU Kaimin ZHOU Ruyi TAN Wanlin PENG Xiuhong LONG Meijiang CHEN 2024Journal of Integrative Nursing2024,6,1:0
19In-Situ Synchrotron Radiation Infrared Spectroscopic Identification of Reactive Intermediates over Multiphase Electrocatalytic Interfaces显示文摘A comprehensive understanding of the microscopic reaction mechanisms at the gas-solid-liquid electrochemical interfaces is urgently required for the development of advanced electrocatalysts applied in burgeoning sustainable energy conversion systems. In-situ synchrotron radiation Fourier transform infrared(SR-FTIR) spectroscopy is one of the most powerful techniques for investigating the evolving dynamics of reactive intermediates during electrocatalytic reactions. In this review, we methodically summarize the recent progress in the research of dynamic mechanisms for valuable electrocatalytic reactions based on in-situ SR-FTIR methodology. Moreover, the merits and drawbacks of SRFTIR spectroscopy, the design principles of infrared beam setups and in-situ cells, as well as the in-situ measurement criteria are also discussed in detail. Lastly, the potential challenges and opportunities in this field are prudently stated.
