3Efficacy and safety of Yinchenwuling powder for hyperlipidemia: a systematic review and Meta-analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To assess the clinical effectiveness and adverse effects of Yinchenwuling powder(YCWLP)in the treatment of hyperlipidemia using Meta-analysis.METHODS:Seven electronic databases were searched for randomized controlled trials designed to evaluate the clinical effectiveness of YCWLP for hyperlipidemia published in any language prior to February 2015.Two reviewers independently identified articles,extracted data,assessed quality,and cross-checked the results.Revman 5.3 was used to analyze the data.RESULTS:Only five randomized controlled trials with poor methodology were included in the analy-sis.The five trials compared YCWLP with conventional lipid-lowering drugs.Meta-analysis indicated that YCWLP was more effective at the levels of total cholesterol and triglycerides,while increasing the level of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol without serious adverse effects.However,it was not more effective than lipid-lowering drugs in reducing low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and improving hemorheology.CONCLUSION:YCWLP appeared to improve lipid levels.However,given the high risk of bias among the trials,we could not conclude that YCWLP was beneficial to patients with hyperlipidemia.More rigorous trials are required to provide stronger evidence for the conclusion.Yao Haiqiang Zhang Zengliang Wang Ji Zuo Jiacheng Chen Yu Zhu Libing Li Xiaoke Yang Zheng Wang Zisong Sun Ranran Xu Xuanxuan Li Changming Wu Yanling Li Lingru Wang Qi 2016Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2016,36,2:11

5Effect of non-solvent additives on the morphology,pore structure, and direct contact membrane distillation performance of PVDF-CTFE hydrophobic membranes显示文摘Four common types of additives for polymer membrane preparation including organic macromolecule and micromolecule additives, inorganic salts and acids, and the strong non-solvent H2 O were used to prepare poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-chlorotrifluoroethylene)(PVDF-CTFE) hydrophobic flat-sheet membranes. Membrane properties including morphology, porosity, hydrophobicity, pore size and pore distribution were investigated, and the permeability was evaluated via direct contact membrane distillation(DCMD) of 3.5 g/L Na Cl solution in a DCMD configuration. Both inorganic and organic micromolecule additives were found to slightly influence membrane hydrophobicity. Polyethylene glycol(PEG),organic acids, Li Cl, Mg Cl2, and Li Cl/H2 O mixtures were proved to be effective additives to PVDF-CTFE membranes due to their pore-controlling effects and the capacity to improve the properties and performance of the resultant membranes. The occurrence of a pre-gelation process showed that when organic and inorganic micromolecules were added to PVDF-CTFE solution, the resultant membranes presented a high interconnectivity structure. The membrane prepared with dibutyl phthalate(DBP) showed a nonporous surface and symmetrical cross-section. When H2 O and Li Cl/H2 O mixtures were also used as additives, they were beneficial for solid–liquid demixing, especially when Li Cl/H2 O mixed additives were used. The membrane prepared with 5% Li Cl + 2% H2 O achieved a flux of24.53 kg/(m2·hr) with 99.98% salt rejection. 6An Efficient Multi-hop Broadcast Protocol for Emergency Messages Dissemination in VANETs显示文摘Black-burst based multi-hop broadcast protocols are effective means to disseminate Emergency messages(EMs)in Vehicular ad hoc networks(VANETs).However,Clear to broadcast(CTB)collision will happen and reduce propagation speed.Aiming at this problem,we propose a Black-burst and multi-channel based multihop broadcast(BMMB)protocol.Vehicles with multiple antennas can transmit and sense black-burst at different channels simultaneously based on multi-channel technology.Compared with existing black-burst based methods,BMMB shortens the iterative procedure to find out the optimal segment.Only one relay vehicle can be rapidly selected within the optimal segment without CTB collision.BMMB enables alternative broadcast methods,i.e.,unidirectional broadcast and multi-directional broadcast for straight roads and intersections respectively.Theoretical analysis is done for performance evaluation of BMMB,and simulation results demonstrate that BMMB performs better in terms of average one-hop delay and propagation speed.WU Libing NIE Lei FAN Jing HE Yanxiang LIU Qin WU Dan 2017Chinese Journal of Electronics2017,26,3:4
7Exploration of Multifocal Rod Electroretinograms Recording in Human显示文摘Purpose:To test the feasibility of recording rod multifocal electroretinograms (ERG) in humans and observe appropriate recording conditions.Methods: Multifocal rod ERG were recorded using a stimulus array of 61 equalsized hexagons in two normal subjects after the dark adaptation. Flashes were blue (W47B). Blank frames between two successive flashes of hexagons varied from 0 to 14. Length of the m-sequence, bandwidth, flash frequency, flash intensities and background intensities were changed to obtain appropriate recording conditions for the clinical use.Results:Multifocal rod ERG were clearly recordable and well formed. They had an early implicit time, very small negative wave and a late implicit time, large positive wave. The positive wave was bimodal, whose timing and waveform were similar to the full-field rod ERG. 8Single-cell transcriptomes reveal molecular specializations of neuronal cell types in the developing cerebellum显示文摘The cerebellum is critical for controlling motor and non-motor functions via cerebellar circuit that is composed of defined cell types, which approximately account for more than half of neurons in mammalsThe molecular mechanisms controlling developmental progression and maturation processes of various cerebellar cell types need systematic investigationHere, we analyzed transcriptome profiles of 21119 single cells of the postnatal mouse cerebellum and identified eight main cell clusters. Functional annotation of differentially expressed genes revealed trajectory hierarchies of granule cells (GCs) at various states and implied roles of mitochondrion and ATPases in the maturation of Purkinje cells (PCs), the sole output cells of the cerebellar cortexFurthermore, we analyzed gene expression patterns and co-expression networks of 28 ataxia risk genes, and found that most of them are related with biological process of mitochondrion and around half of them are enriched in PCs. 11A V2I communication-based pipeline model for adaptive urban traffic light scheduling显示文摘Adaptive traffic light scheduling based on realtime traffic information processing has proven effective for urban traffic congestion management. However, fine-grained information regarding individual vehicles is difficult to acquire through traditional data collection techniques and its accuracy cannot be guaranteed because of congestion and harsh environments. In this study, we first build a pipeline model based on vehicle-to-infrastructure communication, which is a salient technique in vehicular adhoc networks. This model enables the acquisition of fine-grained and accurate traffic information in real time via message exchange between vehicles and roadside units. We then propose an intelligent traffic light scheduling method (ITLM) based on a “demand assignment” principle by considering the types and turning intentions of vehicles. In the context of this principle, a signal phase with more vehicles will be assigned a longer green time. Furthermore, a green-way traffic light scheduling method (GTLM) is investigated for special vehicles (e.g., ambulances and fire engines) in emergency scenarios. Signal states will be adjusted or maintained by the traffic light control system to keep special vehicles moving along smoothly. Comparative experiments demonstrate that the ITLM reduces average wait time by 34%-78% and average stop frequency by 12%-34% in the context of traffic management. The GTLM reduces travel time by 22%^44% and 30%-55% under two types of traffic conditions and achieves optimal performance in congested scenarios.Libing WU Lei NIE Samee U. 15A mobile edge computing-based applications execution framework for Internet of Vehicles显示文摘Mobile edge computing(MEC)is a promising technology for the Internet of Vehicles,especially in terms of application offloading and resource allocation.Most existing offloading schemes are sub-optimal,since these offloading strategies consider an application as a whole.In comparison,in this paper we propose an application-centric framework and build a finer-grained offloading scheme based on application partitioning.In our framework,each application is modelled as a directed acyclic graph,where each node represents a subtask and each edge represents the data flow dependency between a pair of subtasks.Both vehicles and MEC server within the communication range can be used as candidate offloading nodes.Then,the offloading involves assigning these computing nodes to subtasks.In addition,the proposed offloading scheme deal with the delay constraint of each subtask.The experimental evaluation show that,compared to existing non-partitioning offloading schemes,this proposed one effectively improves the performance of the application in terms of execution time and throughput.Libing WU Rui ZHANG Qingan LI Chao MA Xiaochuan SHI 2022Frontiers of Computer Science2022,16,5:1

19Pre-judgment and Incomplete Allocation Approach for Query Result Cache显示文摘Query result caching is a crucial technique employed in search engines, reducing the response time and load of the search engines. As search engines continuously update their indexes, the query results in long-lived cache entries may become stale. It is important to provide the refresh mechanism to enhance the degree of freshness of cached results. We present a pre-judgment approach to improve the freshness of the result cache and design an incomplete allocation algorithm. We introduce the queryTime-to-live(TTL) and term-TTL structure to pre-judge the result cache. The query-TTL is used to pre-check the likelihood of a cache hit and term-TTL is applied to maintain all terms of the latest posting list. For the cache structure, we design a Queue-Hash structure and develop the corresponding incomplete allocation algorithm.
