| 1 | Endoscopic ultrasound in the diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic disease显示文摘Endoscopic ultrasound(EUS)is an important part of modern gastrointestinal endoscopy and now has an integral role in the diagnostic evaluation of pancreatic diseases.Furthermore,as EUS technology has advanced,it has increasingly become a therapeutic procedure,and the prospect of multiple applications of interventional EUS for the pancreas is truly on the near horizon.However,this review focuses on the established diagnostic and therapeutic roles of EUS that are used in current clinical practice.In particular,the diagnostic evaluation of acute pancreatitis,chronic pancreatitis,cystic pancreatic lesions and solid masses of the pancreas are discussed.The newer enhanced imaging modalities of elastography and contrast enhancement are evaluated in this context.The main therapeutic aspects of pancreatic EUS are then considered,namely celiac plexus block and celiac plexus neurolysis for pain control in chronic pancreatitis and pancreas cancer,and EUS-guided drainage of pancreatic fluid collections. | Christopher W Teshima Gurpal S Sandha | 2014 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2014，20，29： | 9 |
| 2 | FTY720,Sphingosine 1-Phosphate Receptor Modulator,Ameliorates Experimental Autoimmune Encephalomyelitis by Inhibition of T Cell Infiltration显示文摘FTY720, a sphingosine 1-phosphate receptor modulator, induces a marked decrease in the number of peripheral blood lymphocytes and exerts immunomodulating activity in various experimental allograft and autoimmune disease models. In this study, we evaluated the effect of FTY720 and its active metabolite, (S)-enantiomer of FTY720-phosphate [(S)-FTY720-P] on experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) in rats and mice.Prophylactic administration of FTY720 at 0.1 to 1 mg/kg almost completely prevented the development of EAE,and therapeutic treatment with FTY720 significantly inhibited the progression of EAE and EAE-associated histological change in the spinal cords of LEW rats induced by immunization with myelin basic protein. Consistent with rat EAE, the development of proteolipid protein-induced EAE in SJL/J mice was almost completely prevented and infiltration of CD4+ T cells into spinal cord was decreased by prophylactic treatment with FTY720 and (S)-FTY720-P. When FTY720 or (S)-FTY720-P was given after establishment of EAE in SJL/J mice, the relapse of EAE was markedly inhibited as compared with interferon-β, and the area of demyelination and the infiltration of CD4+ T cells were decreased in spinal cords of EAE mice. Similar therapeutic effect by FTY720 was obtained in myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein-induced EAE in C57BL/6 mice. Due to rituximab's widespread use, great progress has been made regarding research into complications that arise from its use, one of the most serious being the reactivation of hepatitis B virus(HBV), and efforts continue to establish guidelines for preventive treatment against this occurrence. | 8 | PCA-based 3D Shape Reconstruction of Human Foot Using Multiple Viewpoint Cameras显示文摘This paper describes a multiple camera-based method to reconstruct the 3D shape of a human foot.From a foot database,an initial 3D model of the foot represented by a cloud of points is built.The shape parameters,which can characterize more than 92% of a foot,are defined by using the principal component analysis method.Then,using 'active shape models',the initial 3D model is adapted to the real foot captured in multiple images by applying some constraints(edge points distance and color variance).We insist here on the experiment part where we demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed method on a plastic foot model,and also on real human feet with various shapes.We propose and compare different ways of texturing the foot which is needed for reconstruction.We present an experiment performed on the plastic foot model and on human feet and propose two different ways to improve the final 3D shape's accuracy according to the previous experiments results.The first improvement proposed is the densification of the cloud of points used to represent the initial model and the foot database.The second improvement concerns the projected patterns used to texture the foot.We conclude by showing the obtained results for a human foot with the average computed shape error being only 1.06 mm. | Edmée Amstutz Tomoaki Teshima Makoto Kimura Masaaki Mochimaru Hideo Saito | 2008 | International Journal of Automation and computing2008，5，3： | 2 |
