1Effects of sediment dredging on water quality and zooplankton community structure in a shallow of eutrophic lake显示文摘Effects of suction dredging on water quality and zooplankton community structure in a shallow of eutrophic lake,were evaluated.The results showed that a decreasing trend for levels of phosphorus,organic matter,total suspended solids,Chlorophyll a and Secchi transparency in the water column was found,while levels of water depth,electrical conductivity,total dissolved solids and NO 3--N concentration increased markedly post-dredging.The effects of dredging on dissolved oxygen,pH value and temperature were almost negligible.The zooplankton community structure responded rapidly to the environmental changes caused mainly by dredging.As a result,the abundance of rotifers decreased,while the density of zooplanktonic crustaceans increased markedly.The representative taxa were Brachionus angularis,B.budapestinensis,B.diversicornis,Synchaeta spp.and Neodiaptomus schmackeri.A distinct relationship between zooplankton taxa composition and their environment,unraveled by a redundancy analysis,indicating that the measured environment contributed to the variations in the zooplankton community structure to some extent.The first four synthetic environmental variables explained 51.7% of the taxonomic structure.Therefore,with the reduction of internal nutrient load and a shift in dominance by less eutrophic species,it inferred that dredging might be one of effective measures for environmental improvements of such lakes.Shiyang Zhang Qiaohong Zhou Dong Xu Jidong Lin Shuiping Cheng Zhenbin Wu 2010Journal of Environmental Sciences2010,22,2:41

3The prognostic and therapeutic implications of circulating tumor cell phenotype detection based on epithelial-mesenchymal transition markers in the first-line chemotherapy of HER2-negative metastatic breast cancer显示文摘Background:Epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)is implicated in the metastatic process and presents a chal-lenge to epithelial cell adhesion molecule-based detection of circulating tumor cells(CTCs),which have been demon-strated to be a prognostic indicator in metastatic breast cancer.Although evidence has indicated that heterogeneity of CTCs based on EMT markers is associated with disease progression,no standard recommendations have been established for clinical practice.This study aimed to evaluate the prognostic significance of dynamic CTC detection based on EMT for metastatic breast cancer patients.Methods:We enrolled 108 human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative metastatic breast cancer patients from the prospective phase III CAMELLIA study and applied the CanPatrol CTC enrichment technique to identify CTC phenotypes(including epithelial CTCs,biphenotypic epithelial/mesenchymal CTCs,and mesenchymal CTCs)in peripheral blood samples.Receiver operating characteristic curve analyses of total CTC count and the proportion of mesenchymal CTCs for predicting the 1-year progression-free survival(PFS)rate were conducted to determine the optimal cut-off values,and Kaplan-Meier analysis and Cox proportional hazards regression analysis were performed to investigate the prognostic value of the cut-off values of both total CTC count and the proportion of mesenchymal CTCs in combination.Results:For predicting the 1-year PFS rate,the optimal cut-off value of total CTC count was 9.5(Area under the curve[AUC]=0.538,95%confidence interval[CI]=0.418-0.657),and that of the proportion of mesenchymal CTCs was 10.7%(AUC=0.581,95%CI=0.463-0.699).We used the two cut-off values in combination to forecast PFS in which the total CTC count was equaled to or exceeded 10/5 mL with the proportion of mesenchymal CTCs surpassed 10.7%.Patients who met the combined criteria had significantly shorter median PFS than did those who did not meet the criteria(6.2 vs.9.9 months,P=0.010).A nomogram was constructed based on the criteria and significant clinicopatho-logical characteristics with a C-index of 0.613(P=0.010).Conclusions: The criteria, which combine the total CTC count and the proportion of mesenchymal CTCs, may be used to monitor therapeutic resistance and predict prognosis in patients with metastatic breast cancer.Xiuwen Guan Fei Ma Chunxiao Li Shiyang Wu Shangying Hu Jiefen Huang Xiaoying Sun Jiayu Wang Yang Luo Ruigang Cai Ying Fan Qiao Li Shanshan Chen Pin Zhang Qing Li Binghe Xu 2019Cancer Communications2019,39,1:15

5Spatial Heterogeneity of Soil Mineral Oxide Components in Depression Between Karst Hills,Southwest China显示文摘In karst regions,the spatial heterogeneity of soil mineral oxides and environmental variables is still not clear.We investigated the spatial heterogeneity of SiO2,Al2O3,Fe2O3,CaO,MgO,P2O5,K2O,and MnO contents in the soils of slope land,plantation forest,secondary forest,and primary forest,as well as their relationships with environmental variables in a karst region of Southwest China.Geostatistics,principal component analysis(PCA),and canonical correlation analysis(CCA)were applied to analyze the field data.The results show that SiO2was the predominant mineral in the soils(45.02%–67.33%),followed by Al2O3and Fe2O3.Most soil mineral oxide components had a strong spatial dependence,except for CaO,MgO,and P2O5in the plantation forest,MgO and P2O5in the secondary forest,and CaO in the slope land.Dimensionality reduction in PCA was not appropriate due to the strong spatial heterogeneity in the ecosystems.Soil mineral oxide components,the main factors in all ecosystems,had greater influences on vegetation than those of conventional soil properties.There were close relationships between soil mineral oxide components and vegetation,topography,and conventional soil properties.Mineral oxide components affected species diversity,organic matter and nitrogen levels.DU Hu WANG Kelin PENG Wanxia ZENG Fuping SONG Tongqing ZHANG Hao LU Shiyang 2014Chinese Geographical Science2014,24,2:9

7Development and validation of a nomogram for predicting the survival of patients with non-metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma after curative treatment显示文摘Background: The TNM staging system is far from perfect in predicting the survival of individual cancer patients because only the gross anatomy is considered. The survival rates of the patients who have the same TNM stage disease vary across a wide spectrum. This study aimed to develop a nomogram that incorporates other clinicopathologic factors for predicting the overall survival(OS) of non-metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC) patients after curative treatments.Methods: We retrospectively collected the clinical data of 1520 NPC patients who were diagnosed histologically between November 2000 and September 2003. The clinical data of a separate cohort of 464 patients who received intensity-modulated radiation therapy(IMRT) between 2001 and 2010 were also retrieved to examine the extensibility of the model. Cox regression analysis was used to identify the prognostic factors for building the nomogram. The predictive accuracy and discriminative ability were measured using the concordance index(c-index).Results: We identiied and incorporated 12 independent clinical factors into the nomogram. The calibration curves showed that the prediction of OS was in good agreement with the actual observation in the internal validation set and IMRT cohort. 8A Decision-Making Method for Air Combat Maneuver Based on Hybrid Deep Learning Network显示文摘In this paper, a hybrid deep learning network-based model is proposed and implemented for maneuver decision-making in an air combat environment.The model consists of stacked sparse auto-encoder network for dimensionality reduction of high-dimensional,dynamic time series combat-related data and long shortterm memory network for capturing the quantitative relationship between maneuver control variables and the time series combat-related data after dimensionality reduction.This model features: using time series data as the basis of decision-making, which is more in line with the actual decision-making process;using stacked sparse auto-encoder network to reduce the dimension of time series data to predict the result more accurately;in addition, taking the maneuver control variables as the output to control the maneuver, which makes the maneuver process more flexible. 10The simulation and error analysis of raindrop size distribution obtained by micro rain radar显示文摘Observation of raindrop size distribution( DSD) with a vertically pointing micro rain radar( MRR) has important significance in the precipitation measurement field. The Mie scattering of large particle,vertical wind and air turbulence have great influences on the retrieval of DSD measured by MRR. This paper simulates the process of how three factors affect the inversion of DSD and the calculation of other precipitation parameters,then makes the errors analysis. Because the wavelength of MRR is 12.5mm,M ie theory is more suitable for the precipitation particle than Rayleigh approximation,w hich may cause the underestimation of number density of small droplets and the overestimation of that in middle field. The vertical wind results in inaccurate estimation of particle terminal velocity,so the diameter is measured with some errors by empirical relationship,w hich affects the calculating accuracy of radar reflectivity and rain rate. Air turbulence can broaden the pow er spectral density,of which the impact on the inversion of DSD are concentrated in small droplets field. Then the measured data from MRR is analyzed and the results prove the impacts of those factors. 13High Thermoelectric Performance of Cu-Doped PbSe-PbS System Enabled by High-Throughput Experimental Screening显示文摘Recent advances in high-throughput(HTP)computational power and machine learning have led to great achievements in exploration of new thermoelectric materials.However,experimental discovery and optimization of thermoelectric materials have long relied on the traditional Edisonian trial and error approach.Herein,we demonstrate that ultrahigh thermoelectric performance in a Cu-doped PbSe-PbS system can be realized by HTP experimental screening and precise property modulation.Combining the HTP experimental technique with transport model analysis,an optimal Se/S ratio showing high thermoelectric performance has been efficiently screened out.Subsequently,based on the screened Se/S ratio,the doping content of Cu has been subtly adjusted to reach the optimum carrier concentration.As a result,an outstanding peak zT~1:6 is achieved at 873 K for a 1.8 at%Cu-doped PbSe_(0.6)S_(0.4) sample,which is the superior value among the n-type Te-free lead chalcogenides.We anticipate that current work will stimulate large-scale unitization of the HTP experimental technique in the thermoelectric field,which can greatly accelerate the research and development of new high-performance thermoelectric materials.Li You Zhili Li Quanying Ma Shiyang He Qidong Zhang Feng Wang Guoqiang Wu Qingyi Li Pengfei Luo Jiye Zhang Jun Luo 2020Research2020,,1:4
14An adaptive dwell time scheduling model for phased array radar based on three-way decision显示文摘Real-time resource allocation is crucial for phased array radar to undertake multi-task with limited resources,such as the situation of multi-target tracking,in which targets need to be prioritized so that resources can be allocated accordingly and effectively.A three-way decision-based model is proposed for adaptive scheduling of phased radar dwell time.Using the model,the threat posed by a target is measured by an evaluation function,and therefore,a target is assigned to one of the three possible decision regions,i.e.,positive region,negative region,and boundary region.A different region has a various priority in terms of resource demand,and as such,a different radar resource allocation decision is applied to each region to satisfy different tracking accuracies of multi-target.In addition,the dwell time scheduling model can be further optimized by implementing a strategy for determining a proper threshold of three-way decision making to optimize the thresholds adaptively in real-time.The advantages and the performance of the proposed model have been verified by experimental simulations with comparison to the traditional twoway decision model and the three-way decision model without threshold optimization.The experiential results demonstrate that the performance of the proposed model has a certain advantage in detecting high threat targets.LI Bo TIAN Linyu CHEN Daqing LIANG Shiyang 2020Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2020,31,3:3

16Prevalence and trends of aminoglycoside resistance in Shigella worldwide, 1999-2010显示文摘Shigellosis causes diarrheal disease in humans in both developed and developing countries, and multi-drug resistance in Shigella is an emerging problem. Understanding changing resistance patterns is important in determining appropriate antibiotic treatments. This meta-analysis systematically evaluated aminoglycoside resist-ance in Shigella. A systematic review was constructed based on MEDLINE and EMBASE databases. Randomeffect models or fixed-effect models were used based on P value considering the possibility of heterogeneity between studies for meta-analysis. Data manipulation and statistical analyses were performed using software STATA 11.0. By means of meta-analysis, we found a lower resistance to three kinds of aminoglycosides in the Europe-America areas during the 12 year study period than that of the Asia-Africa areas. Kanamycin resistance was observed to be the most common drug resistance among Shigella isolates with a prevalence of 6.88% (95%CI: 6.36%-7.43%). Comparison of data from Europe-America and Asia-Africa areas revealed that Shigella flexneri resistance was greater than the resistance calculated for Shigella sonnei. Importantly,Shigella sonnei has played a significant role in aminoglycoside-resistance in recent years. Similarly, data showed that resistance to these drugs in children was higher than the corresponding data of adults. In conclusion, aminoglycoside-resistant Shigella is not an unusual phenomenon worldwide. Distribution in Shigella resistance differs sharply based on geographic areas, periods of time and subtypes. 17Can arbuscular mycorrhiza and fertilizer management reduce phosphorus runoff from paddy fields?显示文摘Our study sought to assess how much phosphorus(P) runoff from paddy fields could be cut down by fertilizer management and inoculation with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi. A field experiment was conducted in Lalin River basin, in the northeast China: six nitrogen–phosphorus–potassium fertilizer levels were provided(0, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, and 100% of the recommended fertilizer supply), with or without inoculation with Glomus mosseae. The volume and concentrations of particle P(PP) and dissolved P(DP) were measured for each runoff during the rice growing season. It was found that the seasonal P runoff, including DP and PP, under the local fertilization was 3.7 kg/ha, with PP, rather than DP, being the main form of P in runoff water. Additionally, the seasonal P runoff dropped only by 8.9% when fertilization decreased by 20%; rice yields decreased with declining fertilization. We also found that inoculation increased rice yields and decreased P runoff at each fertilizer level and these effects were lower under higher fertilization. 18Study of Shaking Table Test on Dynamic Response Characteristics and Failure Mechanism of the Loess Slope显示文摘The natural loess that covers the ground surface has good stability due to its low water content.However,when violent earthquakes occur,the strong dynamic stress generated in the slope may induce landslide disasters with different sizes.In this paper,a large-scale shaking table model test is used to reveal the dynamic response and instability failure process of the loess slope.The test results show that different parts of the slope have different vibration characteristics and the first natural frequency in the model increases with the increase of the slope height.The response acceleration of different parts may change due to the coupling relationship between the spectral characteristics of input wave and the natural frequencies of different parts of slope,suggesting the characteristics of regional differential dynamic response.Under the condition of different dynamic response,stress state and boundary conditions of different parts of slope,a rapid microstructural damage,cumulative residual deformation evolution,and tension-shear coupling instability failure process may appear at the top of the slope with the strong dynamic response associated with the increase of dynamic loading intensity.The Sd values presented in this paper may reflect soil damage and slope instability and failure.PU Xiaowu WANG Lanmin WANG Ping CHAI Shaofeng XU Shiyang 2020Earthquake Research in China2020,34,1:3

20Metasurface-based subtractive color filter fabricated on a 12-inch glass wafer using a CMOS platform显示文摘Optical color filters are widely applied in many areas including display,imaging,sensing,holography,energy harvest,and measurement.Traditional dye-based color filters have drawbacks such as environmental hazards and instability under high temperature and ultraviolet radiation.With advances in nanotechnology,structural color filters,which are based on the interaction of light with designed nanostructures,are able to overcome the drawbacks.Also,it is possible to fabricate structural color filters using standard complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor(CMOS)fabrication facilities with low cost and high volume.In this work,metasurface-based subtractive color filters(SCFs)are demonstrated on 12-inch(300-mm)glass wafers using a CMOS-compatible fabrication process.In order to make the transmissive-type SCF on a transparent glass wafer,an in-house developed layer transfer process is used to solve the glass wafer handling issue in fabrication tools.Three different heights of embedded silicon nanopillars(110,170,and 230 nm)are found to support magnetic dipole resonances.With pillar height and pitch variation,SCFs with different displayed colors are achieved.Based on the resonance wavelength,the displayed color of the metasurface is verified within the red-yellow-blue color wheel.The simulation and measurement results are compared and discussed.The work provides an alternative design for high efficiency color filters on a CMOS-compatible platform,and paves the way towards mass-producible large-area metasurfaces.ZHENGJI XU NANXI LI YUAN DONG YUAN HSING FU TING HU QIZE ZHONG YANYAN ZHOU DONGDONG Li SHIYANG ZHU NAVAB SINGH 2021Photonics Research2021,9,1:3
