1Prevalence of Autism Spectrum Disorder in China:A Nationwide Multi-center Population-based Study Among Children Aged 6 to 12 Years显示文摘This study aimed to obtain the first national estimate of the prevalence of autism spectrum disorder(ASD) in Chinese children.We targeted the population of 6 to 12-year-old children for this prevalence study by multistage convenient cluster sampling.The Modified Chinese Autism Spectrum Rating Scale was used for the screening process.Of the target population of 142,086 children,88.5%(n=125,806) participated in the study.A total of 363 children were confirmed as having ASD.The observed ASD prevalence rate was 0.29%(95% CI:0.26%-0.32%) for the overall population.After adjustment for response rates,the estimated number of ASD cases was867 in the target population sample,thereby achieving an estimated prevalence of 0.70%(95% CI:0.64%-0.74%).The prevalence was significantly higher in boys than in girls(0.95%;95% CI:0.87%-1.02% versus 0.30%;95%CI:0.26%-0.34%;P <0.001).Of the 363 confirmed ASD cases,43.3% were newly diagnosed,and most of those(90.4%) were attending regular schools,and 68.8% of the children with ASD had at least one neuropsychiatric comorbidity.Our findings provide reliable data on the estimated ASD prevalence and comorbidities in Chinese children.Hao Zhou Xiu Xu Weili Yan Xiaobing Zou Lijie Wu Xuerong Luo Tingyu Li Yi Huang Hongyan Guan Xiang Chen Meng Mao Kun Xia Lan Zhang Erzhen Li Xiaoling Ge Lili Zhang Chunpei Li Xudong Zhang Yuanfeng Zhou Ding Ding Andy Shih Eric Fombonne Yi Zheng Jisheng Han Zhongsheng Sun Yong-hui Jiang Yi Wang LATENT-NHC Study Team 2020Neuroscience Bulletin2020,36,9:158
2Evaluating effective swath width and droplet distribution of aerial spraying systems on M-18B and Thrush 510G airplanes显示文摘Aerial spraying plays an important role in promoting agricultural production and protecting the biological environment due to its flexibility,high effectiveness,and large operational area per unit of time.In order to evaluate the performance parameters of the spraying systems on two fixed wing airplanes M-18B and Thrush 510G,the effective swath width and uniformity of droplet deposition under headwind flight were tested while the planes operated at the altitudes of 5 m and 4 m.The results showed that although wind velocities varied from 0.9 m/s to 4.6 m/s,and the directions of the atomizer switched upward and downward in eight flights,the effective swath widths were kept approximately at 27 m and 15 m for the M-18B and Thrush 510G,respectively,and the latter was more stable.In addition,through analyzing the coefficients of variation(CVs)of droplet distribution,it was found that the CVs of the M-18B were 39.57%,33.54%,47.95%,and 59.04% at wind velocities of 0.9,1.1,1.4 and 4.6 m/s,respectively,gradually enhancing with the increasing of wind speed;the CVs of Thrush 510G were 79.12%,46.19%,14.90%,and 48.69% at wind velocities of 1.3,2.3,3.0 and 3.4 m/s,respectively,which displayed the irregularity maybe due to change of instantaneous wind direction.Moreover,in terms of the CVs and features of droplet distribution uniformity for both airplanes in the spray swath,choosing smaller CV(20%-45%)as the standard of estimation,it was found that the Thrush 510G had a better uniform droplet distribution than the M-18B.The results provide a research foundation for promoting the development of aerial spraying in China.Zhang Dongyan Chen Liping Zhang Ruirui Xu Gang Lan Yubin Wesley Clint Hoffmann Wang Xiu Xu Min 2015International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2015,8,2:18
3Dynamic and Static Recrystallization Behavior of Low Carbon High Niobium Microalloyed Steel显示文摘The recrystallization behavior of a low carbon high niobium microalloyed steel was investigated using continuous and interrupted hot compression tests.The results showed that the initiation of dynamic recrystallization(DRX)could be detected from inflection in the plot of the strain hardening rate against stress regardless of the stress peak appearance.According to the Zener-Hollomon parameter equation,the activity energy of DRX(Qdef)was obtained and a new modified expression calculating Qdef was proposed in consideration of the chemical composition of experimental steel.Applying the 2% offset method,the static softening fraction was determined.The graphic representation of the softening fraction vs interruption time gave the information about the non-static recrystallization temperature(about 1000 ℃)and the relationship of precipitation-time-temperature.Static recrystallization kinetics followed the Avrami's law at high deformation temperature,and different values of the exponent m were given to illustrate the effect of niobium element on static recrystallization at different deformation temperatures.LAN Liang yun QIU Chun lin ZHAO De-wen GAO Xiu hua DU Lin-xiu 2011Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)2011,18,1:16

6The molecular characterization of maize B chromosome specific AFLPs显示文摘The origin and evolution of B chromosomes could be explained by the specific DNA sequence on them. But the specific sequences known were quite limited. To investigate maize B chromosome sqicific DNA sequeces, maize genomes with and without B chromosomes were analyzed by AFLP. Only 5 markers were found specific to genomes with B chromosomes among about 2000 AFLP markers. Southern hybridization and sequence analysis revealed that only the sequence of M8-2D was a B chromosome specific sequence. This sequence contained the telomeric repeat unit AGGGTTT conserved in plant chromosome telomeres. In addition, the sequence of M8-2D shared low homology to clones from maize chromosome 4 centromere as well. 8Effects of Outdoor Temperature on Blood Pressure in a Prospective Cohort of Northwest China显示文摘Objective The relationship between outdoor temperature and blood pressure(BP) has been inconclusive. We analyzed data from a prospective cohort study in northwestern China to investigate the effect of outdoor temperature on BP and effect modification by season.Methods A total of 32,710 individuals who participated in both the baseline survey and the first follow-up in 2011–2015 were included in the study. A linear mixed-effect model and generalized additive mixed model(GAMM) were applied to estimate the association between outdoor temperature and BP after adjusting for confounding variables.Results The mean differences in systolic blood pressure(SBP) and diastolic blood pressure(DBP)between summer and winter were 3.5 mm Hg and 2.75 mm Hg, respectively. After adjusting for individual characteristics, meteorological factors and air pollutants, a significant increase in SBP and DBP was observed for lag 06 day and lag 04 day, a 0.28 mm Hg(95% CI: 0.27–0.30) per 1 °C decrease in average temperature for SBP and a 0.16 mm Hg(95% CI: 0.15–0.17) per 1 °C decrease in average temperature for DBP, respectively. The effects of the average temperature on both SBP and DBP were stronger in summer than in other seasons. The effects of the average temperature on BP were also greater if individuals were older, male, overweight or obese, a smoker or drinker, or had cardiovascular diseases(CVDs), hypertension, and diabetes.Conclusions This study demonstrated a significant negative association between outdoor temperature and BP in a high-altitude environment of northwest China. Moreover, BP showed a significant seasonal variation. 10Grade classification of neuroepithelial tumors using high-resolution magic-angle spinning proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and pattern recognition显示文摘Clinical data have shown that survival rates vary considerably among brain tumor patients,according to the type and grade of the tumor.Metabolite profiles of intact tumor tissues measured with high-resolution magic-angle spinning proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (HRMAS 1H NMRS) can provide important information on tumor biology and metabolism.These metabolic fingerprints can then be used for tumor classification and grading,with great potential value for tumor diagnosis.We studied the metabolic characteristics of 30 neuroepithelial tumor biopsies,including two astrocytomas (grade I),12 astrocytomas (grade II),eight anaplastic astrocytomas (grade III),three glioblastomas (grade IV) and five medulloblastomas (grade IV) from 30 patients using HRMAS 1H NMRS.The results were correlated with pathological features using multivariate data analysis,including principal component analysis (PCA).There were significant differences in the levels of N-acetyl-aspartate (NAA),creatine,myo-inositol,glycine and lactate between tumors of different grades (P<0.05).There were also significant differences in the ratios of NAA/creatine,lactate/creatine,myo-inositol/creatine,glycine/creatine,scyllo-inositol/creatine and alanine/creatine (P<0.05).A soft independent modeling of class analogy model produced a predictive accuracy of 87% for high-grade (grade III-IV) brain tumors with a sensitivity of 87% and a specificity of 93%.HRMAS 1H NMR spectroscopy in conjunction with pattern recognition thus provides a potentially useful tool for the rapid and accurate classification of human brain tumor grades.CHEN WenXue LOU HaiYan ZHANG HongPing NIE Xiu LAN WenXian YANG YongXia XIANG Yun QI JianPin LEI Hao TANG HuiRu CHEN FenEr DENG Feng 2011Science China(Life Sciences)2011,54,7:5

This paper made a brief introduction to the causes and hazards of agricultural non-point source pollution and the current situation of agricultural non-point source pollution prevention and control in China. 12Utility of Droplet Digital PCR Assay for Quantitative Detection of Norovirus in Shellfish, from Production to Consumption in Guangxi, China显示文摘Objective Shellfish are recognized as important vehicles of norovirus-associated gastroenteritis. The present study aimed to monitor norovirus contamination in oysters along the farm-to-fork continuum in Guangxi, a major oyster production area in Southwestern China. Methods Oyster samples were collected monthly from farms, markets, and restaurants, from January to December 2016. Norovirus was detected and quantified by one-step reverse transcription-droplet digital polymerase chain reaction(RT-ddPCR). Results A total of 480 oyster samples were collected and tested for norovirus genogroups I and II. Norovirus was detected in 20.7% of samples, with genogroup II predominating. No significant difference was observed in norovirus prevalence among different sampling sites. The norovirus levels varied widely, with a geometric mean of 19,300 copies/g in digestive glands. Both norovirus prevalence and viral loads showed obvious seasonality, with a strong winter bias. Conclusion This study provides a systematic analysis of norovirus contamination ‘from the farm to the fork' in Guangxi. RT-ddPCR can be a useful tool for detection and quantification of low amounts of norovirus in the presence of inhibitors found particularly in foodstuffs. 16Construction of a DNA library from chromosome 4 of rice(Oryza sativa)by microdissection显示文摘A simple method to create a chromosome-specific DNA library of rice, including microdissection, amplification,characterization and cloning, is described. Rice chromosome 4 from a metaphase cell has been isolated and amplified by the Linker Adapter PCR (LA-PCR). The PCR products were labeled as probes with DIG-11-dUTP using the random priming method.Southern blot analysis with rice genomic DNA and specific RFLP markers demonstrated that the PCR products were derived from rice chromosome 4. A large library comprising over 100,000recombinant plasmid microclones from rice chromosome 4was constructed. Colony hybridization showed that 58% of the clones contained single or low-copy sequences and 42%contained repetitive sequences. 18Status of the neonatal follow‑up system in China:survey and analysis显示文摘Background There is little information about neonatal follow-up programs(NFUPs)in China.This study aimed to conduct a survey of hospitals participating in the Chinese Neonatal Network(CHNN)to determine the status of NFUPs,including resources available,criteria for enrollment,neurodevelopmental assessments,and duration of follow-up.Methods We conducted a descriptive study using an online survey of all 72 hospitals participating in CHNN in 2020.The survey included 15 questions that were developed based on the current literature and investigators’knowledge about followup practices in China.Results Sixty-four(89%)of the 72 hospitals responded to the survey,with an even distribution of children’s(31%),maternity(33%)and general(36%)hospitals.All but one(98%)hospital had NFUPs,with 44(70%)being established after 2010.Eligibility criteria for follow-up were variable,but common criteria included very preterm infants<32 weeks or<2000 g birth weight(100%),small for gestational age(97%),hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy(98%)and postsurgery(90%).The average follow-up rate was 70%(range:7.5%–100%).Only 12%of hospitals followed up with patients for more than 24 months.There was significant variation in neurodevelopmental assessments,follow-up schedule,composition of staff,and clinic facilities and resources.None of the staff had received formal training,and only four hospitals had sent staff to foreign hospitals as observers.Conclusions There is significant variation in eligibility criteria,duration of follow-up,types of assessments,staffing,training and facilities available.Coordination and standardization are urgently needed.Qi Zhou Yun Cao Lan Zhang Nurya Erejep Wen‑Long Xiu Jing‑Yun Shi Rui Cheng Wen‑Hao Zhou Shoo KLee 2023World Journal of Pediatrics2023,19,11:2

20The expression of c-src gene in the carcinogenesis process of human cardia adenocarcinoma显示文摘AIM To investigate the activation, expression of c src gene and its role in the carcinogenetic process of human cardia adenocarcinoma (CA). METHODS Fifty six cases of CA, 34 cases of normal, 36 cases of protiferative epithelia adjacent to carcinoma, and 20 cases of lymph node metastases of CA were studied for PP60 c src , the expression product of c src gene immunohistochemically by using the specific monoclonal antibody, Mab327. RESULTS The positive rates of PP60 c src in the normal epithelia, protiferative epithelia, CA and lymph node metastases were 29 4% (10/*!34), 94 4% (34/*!36), 71 4% (40/*!56) and 60 0% (12/*!20) , respectively, among them, the differences of the positive rates were statistically significant ( P <0 01) . The expression levels of PP60 c src in CA and proliferative epithelia were significantly higher than that in the normal epithelia ( P <0 01) . The PP60 c src positive rates in the papillary, tubular, poorly differentiated and mucous adenocarcinoma were 75 0% (6/*!8) , 81 8% (18/*!22) , 50 0% (10/*!20) and 100 0% (6/*!6) , respectively, whereas those of tubular and mucous adenocarcinomas were significantly higher than those of papillary and poorly differentiated adenocarcinomas ( P <0 05) , and the PP60 c src expression levels of tubular and mucous adenocarcinomas were also significantly higher than those of papillary and poorly differentiated adenocarcinomas ( P <0 01) .
