| 1 | INFORMATION STRUCTURES AND PRICING DECISIONS IN COMPETING SUPPLY CHAINS显示文摘The paper investigates the pricing decisions of two competing supply chains under the different information structures. Each retailer has private information about the market demand and has the right to decide whether or not to share the information with the manufacturer. Three demand-information structures, i.e., information sharing in both supply chains, information sharing in only one supply chain and information sharing in neither supply chain, are considered. We investigate the value of information by comparing the information structures, and find that the information value not only works in the channel directly, but also does in the competing channel indirectly. Information sharing in a supply chain always benefits its manufacturer, but hurts its retailer; while it benefits both the manufacturer and the retailer of competing supply chain, regardless of whether this competing supply chain has information sharing. From the perspective of channel, when the competition is more intense, information sharing in a supply chain makes this supply chain better off, and when the competition is less intense, the information sharing in a supply chain makes this supply chain worse off. | 2 | Comprehensive Marine Observing Experiment Based on High-Altitude Large Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(South China Sea Experiment2020 of the “Petrel Project”)显示文摘In collaboration with 12 other institutions, the Meteorological Observation Center of the China Meteorological Administration undertook a comprehensive marine observation experiment in the South China Sea using the Yilong-10 high-altitude large unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV). The Yilong-10 UAV carried a self-developed dropsonde system and a millimeter-wave cloud radar system. In addition, a solar-powered unmanned surface vessel and two drifting buoys were used. The experiment was further supported by an intelligent, reciprocating horizontal drifting radiosonde system that was deployed from the Sansha Meteorological Observing Station, with the intent of producing a stereoscopic observation over the South China Sea. Comprehensive three-dimensional observations were collected using the system from 31 July to2 August, 2020. This information was used to investigate the formation and development processes of Typhoon Sinlaku(2020). The data contain measurements of 21 oceanic and meteorological parameters acquired by the five devices, along with video footage from the UAV. The data proved very helpful in determining the actual location and intensity of Typhoon Sinlaku(2020). The experiment demonstrates the feasibility of using a high-altitude, large UAV to fill in the gaps between operational meteorological observations of marine areas and typhoons near China, and marks a milestone for the use of such data for analyzing the structure and impact of a typhoon in the South China Sea. | 4 | Preparation of phospholipid-based polycarbonate urethanes for potential applications of blood-contacting implants显示文摘Polyurethanes are widely used in interventional devices due to the excellent physicochemical property.However,non-specific adhesion and severe inflammatory response of ordinary polyurethanes may lead to severe complications of intravenous devices.Herein,a novel phospholipid-based polycarbonate urethanes(PCUs)were developed via two-step solution polymerization by direct synthesis based on functional raw materials.Furthermore,PCUs were coated on biomedical metal sheets to construct biomimetic anti-fouling surface.The results of stress–strain curves exhibited excellent tensile properties of PCUs films.Differential scanning calorimetry results indicated that the microphase separation of such PCUs polymers could be well regulated by adjusting the formulation of chain extender,leading to different biological response.In vitro blood compatibility tests including bovine serum albumin adsorption,fibrinogen adsorption and denaturation,platelet adhesion and whole-blood experiment showed superior performance in inhibition non-specific adhesion of PCUs samples.Endothelial cells and smooth muscle cells culture tests further revealed a good anti-cell adhesion ability.Finally,animal experiments including ex vivo blood circulation and subcutaneous inflammation animal experiments indicated a strong ability in anti-thrombosis and histocompatibility.These results high light the strong anti-adhesion property of phospholipid-based PCUs films,which may be applied to the blood-contacting implants such as intravenous catheter or antithrombotic surface in the future. | Peichuang Li Wanhao Cai Xin Li Kebing Wang Lei Zhou Tianxue You Rui Wang Hang Chen Yuancong Zhao Jin Wang Nan Huang | 2020 | Regenerative Biomaterials2020,7,5: | 1 |
| 5 | Downside Risk-Aversion Analysis for a Single-Stage Newsvendor Problem显示文摘We extend the classical newsvendor problem by introducing a downside risk constraint from the perspective of inventory control. At the beginning of a replenishment period the newsvendor will place an order, then he will review the inventory level at the end of the period. If the inventory level is positive then he will bear the holding cost and if the inventory level is negative then he will bear the backorder cost. The optimal order quantity has a simple form. We analyze the form of the optimal order quan-tity when we restrict that the probability that the cost level is larger than or equal to a fixed cost constant is less than a fixed value of probability. | 9 | Adhesive and Self-Healing Polyurethanes with Tunable Multifunctionality显示文摘Many polyurethanes(PUs)are blood-contacting materials due to their good mechanical properties,fatigue resistance,cytocompatibility,biosafety,and relatively good hemocompatibility.Further functionalization of the PUs using chemical synthetic methods is especially attractive for expanding their applications.Herein,a series of catechol functionalized PU(CPU-PTMEG)elastomers containing variable molecular weight of polytetramethylene ether glycol(PTMEG)soft segment are reported by stepwise polymerization and further introduction of catechol.Tailoring the molecular weight of PTMEG fragment enables a regulable catechol content,mobility of the chain segment,hydrogen bond and microphase separation of the C-PUPTMEG elastomers,thus offering tunability of mechanical strength(such as breaking strength from 1.3 MPa to 5.7 MPa),adhesion,self-healing eficiency(from 14.9%to 96.7%within 2 hours),anticoagulant,antioxidation,anti-inflammatory properties and cellular growth behavior.As cardiovascular stent coatings,the C-PU-PTMEGs demonstrate enough flexibility to withstand deformation during the balloon dilation procedure.Of special importance is that the C-PU-PTMEG-coated surfaces show the ability to rapidly scavenge free radicals to maintain normal growth of endothelial cells,inhibit smooth muscle cell proliferation,mediate inflammatory response,and reduce thrombus formation.With the universality of surface adhesion and tunable multifunctionality,these novel C-PU-PTMEG elastomers should find potential usage in artificial heart valves and surface engineering of stents. | Lei Zhou Lu Zhang Peichuang Li Manfred F.Maitz Kebing Wang Tengda Shang Sheng Dai Yudie Fu Yuancong Zhao Zhilu Yang Jin Wang Xin Li | 2023 | Research2023,,1: | 0 |
| 10 | Polyphenol-based hydrogels: Pyramid evolution from crosslinked structures to biomedical applications and the reverse design显示文摘As a kind of nature-derived bioactive materials, polyphenol-based hydrogels possess many unique and outstanding properties such as adhesion, toughness, and self-healing due to their specific crosslinking structures, which have been widely used in biomedical fields including wound healing, antitumor, treatment of motor system injury, digestive system disease, oculopathy, and bioelectronics. In this review, starting with the classi-fication of common polyphenol-based hydrogels, the pyramid evolution process of polyphenol-based hydrogels from crosslinking structures to derived properties and then to biomedical applications is elaborated, as well as the efficient reverse design considerations of polyphenol-based hydrogel systems are proposed. Finally, the existing problems and development prospects of these hydrogel materials are discussed.
