2Deep learning for P-wave arrival picking in earthquake early warning显示文摘Fast and accurate P-wave arrival picking significantly affects the performance of earthquake early warning(EEW)systems.Automated P-wave picking algorithms used in EEW have encountered problems of falsely picking up noise,missing P-waves and inaccurate P-wave arrival estimation.To address these issues,an automatic algorithm based on the convolution neural network(DPick)was developed,and trained with a moderate number of data sets of 17,717 accelerograms.Compared to the widely used approach of the short-term average/long-term average of signal characteristic function(STA/LTA),DPick is 1.6 times less likely to detect noise as a P-wave,and 76 times less likely to miss P-waves.In terms of estimating P-wave arrival time,when the detection task is completed within 1 s,DPick′s detection occurrence is 7.4 times that of STA/LTA in the 0.05 s error band,and 1.6 times when the error band is 0.10 s.This verified that the proposed method has the potential for wide applications in EEW.Wang Yanwei Li Xiaojun Wang Zifa Shi Jianping Bao Enhe 2021Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2021,20,2:3

4RGF1-RGI1,a Peptide-Receptor Complex,Regulates Arabidopsis Root Meristem Development via a MAPK Signaling Cascade显示文摘Root growth is maintained by the continuous division of cells in the apical meristem.ROOT MERISTEM GROWTH FACTOR 1(RGF1)is a critical peptide hormone regulating root stem cell niche maintenance.Previous studies discovered that five closely related leucine-rich repeat receptor-like protein kinases(LRRRLKs),named RGF1 INSENSITIVES(RGIs)or RGF1 RECEPTORS(RGFRs),are able to perceive the RGF1 signal and redundantly control root stem cell niche maintenance.RGF1 regulates root meristem activity mainly via two downstream transcription factors,PLETHORA 1(PLT1)and PLT2.Regulatory proteins connecting cell surface RGF1-RGI1 and nuclear PLTs,however,were not identified.Here,we report that the mitogen-activated protein(MAP)kinase kinase 4(MKK4)and MAP kinase 3(MPK3)were coimmunoprecipitated with RGI1-FLAG after Arabidopsis seedlings were treated with RGF1.Genetic and biochemical assays confirmed that MKK4 and MKK5,and their downstream targets MPK3 and MPK6,are essential RG卜dependent regulators of root meristem development.In addition,we found that the MKK4/MKK5-MPK3/MPK6 module functions downstream of YDA,a MAPKKK.Our results demonstrate that RGF1-RGI1 regulate the expression of PLT1/PLT2 via a YDA-MKK4/MKK5-MPK3/MPK6 signaling cascade.Xiaoting Lu Hongyong Shi Yang Ou Yanwei Cui Jinke Chang Liang Peng Xiaoping Gou Kai He Jia Li 2020Molecular Plant2020,13,11:3
5Violent offences of methamphetamine users and dilemmas of forensic psychiatric assessment显示文摘Methamphetamine(MA),an extremely addictive synthetic stimulant,has quickly spread to become the most frequently used illicit drug in China.People with a history of chronic and heavy MA use have a high possibility of exhibiting schizophrenia-like psychotic symptoms,mainly delusions of reference,auditory hallucinations and cognitive deficits.These emerging findings suggest MA use increases aggression and violence and that there is a correlation between MA use and violence.However,it is unclear how to assess the capacity of criminal responsibility in“MA-induced”psychosis and how to set clear boundaries between schizophrenia and MA-induced psychosis when only limited and inconsistent evidence is available.Furthermore,a final persuasive differential diagnostic method based on improved understanding of schizophrenia and MA-induced psychotic disorders has yet to be developed.This paper will evaluate the epidemiology,social harm,and forensic psychiatric assessment of MA users,propose a future direction for the differential diagnosis between MA-induced psychotic disorders and schizophrenia,and put forward some practical solutions to assess the capacity of criminal responsibility of defendants with drug-induced psychotic disorder.Yi Liu Bo Hao Yanwei Shi Li Xue Xiaoguang Wang Yefei Chen Hu Zhao 2017Forensic Sciences Research2017,2,1:3

7Personality Openness Predicts Driver Trust in Automated Driving显示文摘Maintaining an appropriate level of trust in automated driving(AD)is critical to safe driving.However,few studies have explored factors affecting trust in AD in general,and no study,as far as is known,has directly investigated whether driver personality influences driver trust in an AD system.The current study investigates the relation between driver personality and driver trust in AD,focusing on Level 2 AD.Participants were required to perform a period of AD in a driving simulator,during which their gaze and driving behavior were recorded,as well as their subjective trust scores after driving.In three distinct measures,a significant correlation between Openness and driver trust in the AD system is found:participants with higher Openness traits tend to have less trust in the AD system.No significant correlations between driver trust in AD and other personality traits are found.The findings suggest that driver personality has an impact on driver trust in AD.Theoretical and practical implications of this finding are discussed.Wenmin Li Nailang Yao Yanwei Shi Weiran Nie Yuhai Zhang Xiangrong Li Jiawen Liang Fang Chen Zaifeng Gao 2020Automotive Innovation2020,3,1:2

16Neuron-inspired design of hierarchically porous carbon networks embedded with single-iron sites for efficient oxygen reduction显示文摘The rational structure design and active-site regulation of catalysts is crucial for high energy output. Herein, B, F co-doped Fe–N–C embedded in a flexible and free-standing hierarchical porous carbon framework(Fe–SA–FPCS) was reported. Owing to the synergism of optimized intrinsic activity, fast mass transfer and well exposed active sites, the Fe–SA–FPCS exhibits a high halfwave potential(E1/2=0.89 V vs. RHE) and small Tafel slope(66 m V dec^(-1)). Theoretical calculations uncover that B, F co-doping could accelerate the desorption of OH* on Fe sites, which can effectively increase oxygen reduction reaction activity. As the cathode for Zn–air batteries(ZABs), Fe–SA–FPCS demonstrates a high open-circuit voltage(1.51 V), large peak power density(168.4 m W cm^(-2)) and excellent stability. The assembled flexible solid-state ZAB exhibits excellent stability during charge and discharge cycling in the flat/bent state, and is promising for the application of portable and flexible devices. 17Synthesis of size-controlled hollow Fe3O4 nanospheres and their growth mechanism显示文摘Size-controlled hollow Fe3O4 nanospheres were synthesized via a one-pot hydrothermal method as a function of reaction time and sodium citrate,polyacrylamide,and urea content.Multiple characterization techniques such as scanning and transmission electron microscopy and Raman spectroscopy were employed to investigate the crystal structure and morphology of the obtained nanospheres.The Fe3O4 nanosphere formation mechanism was elucidated from analyzing the characterization data.High levels of sodium citrate and longer reaction times were observed to increase the diameter of the nanospheres until hollow structures formed.Furthermore,polyacrylamide and urea promoted the formation of hollow structures.The hollow-structured Fe3O4 nanospheres exhibited high magnetization saturation values in the range of 48.8-58.7 emu/g.The facile synthesis method described herein,to generate size-controlled Fe3O4 nanospheres with tailored properties,demonstrates potential across a wide range of fields from drug-delivery and stealth devices,to environmental and energy applications.Lei Shi Yurong He Yanwei Hu Xinzhi Wang Baocheng Jiang Yimin Huang 2020Particuology2020,18,2:0
18Bio-inspired Recyclable Carbon Interface for Solar Steam Generation显示文摘Solar power,as one of renewable energy,holds potential application for producing steam which relies on high-temperature liquid by traditional methods.Herein,steam was generated by a bio-inspired strategy derived from the plants transpiration using a Printed Recyclable Carbon Membrane(PRCM).The membrane structure facilitated the concentration of carbon particles for the photoreaction and the heat generation for water evaporation,thereby improving the photo-thermal conversion efficiency.The PRCM achieved the best steady evaporation efficiency of 51.9%,which was 5.6 times higher than the value for water and recycling tests were demonstrated.The carbon particles were separated from the water under the magnetism action,a convenient approach that avoided secondary pollution resulting from the disintegration of the PRCM.Rapid preparation,low cost,and reusability of the printed carbon membrane allow for photo-thermal applications such as solar steam generation and seawater desalination.Lei Shi Xinzhi Wang Yanwei Hu Yurong He Yuying Yan 2020Journal of Bionic Engineering2020,17,2:0
19Understanding the surface segregation behavior of bimetallic CoCu toward HMF oxidation reaction显示文摘Surface segregation is ubiquitous in multi-component materials and is of great important for catalysis but little is known on the surface structure under graphene encapsulation.Here,we show that the graphene encapsulated CoCu performs well for the electrocatalytic oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural(HMF)to2,5-furandicarboxylic acid(FDCA)with the onset potential before 1.23 VRHEand a nearly 100%selectivity of FDCA under 1.4 VRHE.From the experimental results,the unprecedented catalytic performance was attributed to local structural distortion and sub-nanometer lattice composition of the CoCu surface.We accurately show the dispersed Cu doped Co_(3)O_(4) nano-islands with a lot of edge sites on the bimetallic Co-Cu surface.While,the gradient components effectively facilitate the establishment of built-in electric field and accelerate the charge transfer.Theoretical and experimental results reveal that the surface Co and neighbouring Cu atoms in sub-nanometer lattice synergistically promote the catalysis of HMF.This work offers new insights into surface segregation in tuning the element spatial distribution for catalysis.Yanwei Zhu Jianqiao Shi Yingying Li Yuxuan Lu Bo Zhou Shuangyin Wang Yuqin Zou 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,11:0
