2Degradation of the antibiotic sulfamonomethoxine sodium in aqueous solution by photo-Fenton oxidation显示文摘In this study, photo-Fenton oxidation was applied to degradation of sulfamonomethoxine sodium (SMMS) in aqueous solution. The operation parameters of pH, temperature, and concentrations of H2O2, Fe2+ and SMMS were investigated. The optimum conditions for the photo-Fenton process were determined as follows: [SMMS]=4.53 mg/L, pH 4.0, [H2O2]=0.49 mmol/L, [Fe2+]= 19.51 μmol/L and T=25°C. Under these conditions 98.5% of the SMMS degraded. The kinetics were also studied, and degradation of SMMS by the photo-Fenton process could be described by first-order kinetics. The apparent activation energy was calculated as 23.95 kJ/mol. Mineralization of the process was investigated by measuring the chemical oxygen demand (COD), and the COD decreased by 99% after 120 min. 3The Gravitational-wave physics Ⅱ: Progress显示文摘It has been a half-decade since the first direct detection of gravitational waves, which signifies the coming of the era of the gravitational-wave astronomy and gravitational-wave cosmology. The increasing number of the detected gravitational-wave events has revealed the promising capability of constraining various aspects of cosmology, astronomy, and gravity. Due to the limited space in this review article, we will briefly summarize the recent progress over the past five years, but with a special focus on some of our own work for the Key Project 'Physics associated with the gravitational waves' supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. 6Synthesis and optical properties of Cu_2SnZnS_4 films under different sulfur atmospheres显示文摘The electrodeposited precursor is a mixture of Cu, Sn, and Zn alloys, these elements form Cu6Sn5 and CuZn binary phases, and subsequently these phases transform into many binary and ternary intermediates, such as CuS, ZnS, Cu_2SnS_3, and Cu_2ZnSnS_4 (CZTS) at low annealing temperature in pure sulfur and H_2S atmospheres.Finally, CZTS films can be completely formed by sulfidizing at 550℃for 1 h in pure sulfur and H_2S atmospheres. However, the initial temperature of synthesizing CZTS in H_2S atmosphere is higher than that in pure sulfur atmosphere, but the highest temperature of synthesizing CZTS in H_2S atmosphere is lower than that in pure sulfur atmosphere. 8TGFβR-1/ALK5 inhibitor RepSox induces enteric glia-to-neuron transition and influences gastrointestinal mobility in adult mice显示文摘Promoting adult neurogenesis in the enteric nervous system(ENS)may be a potential therapeutic approach to cure enteric neuropathies.Enteric glial cells(EGCs)are the most abundant glial cells in the ENS.Accumulating evidence suggests that EGCs can be a complementary source to supply new neurons during adult neurogenesis in the ENS.In the brain,astrocytes have been intensively studied for their neuronal conversion properties,and small molecules have been successfully used to induce the astrocyte-to-neuron transition.However,research on glia-to-neuron conversion in the ENS is still lacking.In this study,we used GFAP-Cre:Rosa-tdTomato mice to trace glia-to-neuron transdifferentiation in the ENS in vivo and in vitro.We showed that GFAP promoter-driven tdTomato exclusively labelled EGCs and was a suitable marker to trace EGCs and their progeny cells in the ENS of adult mice.Interestingly,we discovered that RepSox or other ALK5 inhibitors alone induced efficient transdifferentiation of EGCs into neurons in vitro.Knockdown of ALK5 further confirmed that the TGFβR-1/ALK5 signalling pathway played an essential role in the transition of EGCs to neurons.RepSox-induced neurons were Calbindin-and nNOS-positive and displayed typical neuronal electrophysiological properties.Finally,we showed that administration of RepSox(3,10 mg·kg^(−1)·d^(−1),i.g.)for 2 weeks significantly promoted the conversion of EGCs to neurons in the ENS and influenced gastrointestinal motility in adult mice.This study provides a method for efficiently converting adult mouse EGCs into neurons by small-molecule compounds,which might be a promising therapeutic strategy for gastrointestinal neuropathy.Chang-jie Shi Jun-jiang Lian Bo-wen Zhang Jia-xue Cha Qiu-hong Hua Xiao-ping Pi Yu-jun Hou Xin Xie Ru Zhang 2023Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2023,44,1:1

15Data-Driven Synthetic Cell Factories Development for Industrial Biomanufacturing显示文摘Revolutionary breakthroughs in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) have had a profound impact on a widerange of scientific disciplines, including the development of artificial cell factories for biomanufacturing. In this paper, wereview the latest studies on the application of data-driven methods for the design of new proteins, pathways, and strains. Wefirst briefly introduce the various types of data and databases relevant to industrial biomanufacturing, which are the basis fordata-driven research. Different types of algorithms, including traditional ML and more recent deep learning methods, are alsopresented. 18Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector.Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements,such as its low-energy threshold,high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors,and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors.In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable,assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition,approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected.This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter,which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle.Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better,depending on the central value,and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND 19Micro/nano metal–organic frameworks meet energy chemistry: A review of materials synthesis and applications显示文摘Micro/nano metal–organic frameworks(MOFs)have attracted significant attention in recent years due to their numerous unique properties,with many synthetic methods and strategies being reported for constructing MOFs with specific micro/nano structures.In addition,the design of micro/nano MOFs for energy storage and conversion applications and the study of the structure–activity relationship have also become research hotspots.Herein,a comprehensive overview of the recent progress on micro/nano MOFs is presented.We begin with a brief introduction to the various synthesis methods for controlling the morphology of micro/nano MOFs.Subsequently,the structure-dependent properties of micro/nano MOFs as electrode materials or catalysts in terms of batteries,supercapacitors,and catalysis are discussed.Finally,the remaining challenges and future perspectives in this field are presented.Overall,this review is expected to inspire the design of advanced micro/nano MOFs for efficient energy storage and conversion technologies.Zhenyang Meng Ziming Qiu Yuxin Shi Shixian Wang Guangxun Zhang Yecan Pi Huan Pang 2023eScience2023,3,2:0
20Chlorophyll-a concentrations in 82 large alpine lakes on the Tibetan Plateau during 2003–2017: temporal–spatial variations and influencing factors显示文摘As essential parts of the unique ecosystem of Tibetan Plateau(TP),the sizes and associated physical properties of alpine lakes have long been investigated.However,little is known about one of the most critical biogeochemical properties,i.e.the Chlorophyll-a(Chl-a)concentrations.Here,for the first time,we presented a comprehensive investigation of the temporal–spatial variations in Chl-a in 82 lakes(>50 km^(2))across the entire TP region,based on MODIS observations in the period of 2003–2017.The results showed that the 82 lakes exhibited an average longterm mean Chl-a of 3.3±4.3 mg m^(−3),with high Chl-a lakes concentrated in the eastern and southern inner TP basin and northeastern parts of the TP.An interannual trend analysis revealed that lakes exhibiting(significantly)decreasing Chl-a trends and(significantly)increasing Chl-a trends were comparable in numbers but differed in distribution patterns.A correlation analysis indicated that at least 70%of the interannual variability in Chl-a values of lakes was significantly correlated with one of the four environmental factors(wind speed,ice cover duration,lake water surface temperature and surface runoff)and lake size.In addition,glacier meltwater tended to reduce lake Chl-a while salinity levels showed minor influences.Xuehui Pi Lian Feng Weifeng Li Junguo Liu Xingxing Kuang Kun Shi Wei Qi Deliang Chen Jing Tang 2021International Journal of Digital Earth2021,14,6:0
