1Liquid-Liquid Equilibria of Water + Butyric Acid + Nonanol Ternary System显示文摘Liquid-liquid equilibrium (LLE) data for the water + butyric acid + nonanol system have been determined experimentally at the temperatures of 298.15 K, 308.15 K and 318.15 K. Tie-line compositions were correlated by Othmer-Tobias method. The universal quasichemical functional group activity coefficient (UNIFAC) and modified UNIFAC methods were used to predict the phase equilibrium in the system using the interaction parameters between CH3, CH2, COOH, OH and H2O functional groups. 2Comparison of the clinical efficacy of two different types of post systems which were restored with composite restorations显示文摘AIM To compare the efficacy of resin composite restorations, retained with either polyethylene or zirconia-rich glass fiber posts. METHODS Sixty-two single rooted maxillary and mandibularcentral incisor teeth in forty-four patients (15 males and 29 females; age range 15-32 years) were restored either with an ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene(UHMWP) fiber post (Bondable Reinforcement Ribbon, DENSE, Ribbond, Seattle, WA, United States) or a zircon-rich glass fiber post (Snowpost, Lot H 040; Carbotech, Ganges, France). Then, direct resin composite restoration (Clearfil AP-X, Kuraray) was performed for both post systems in tooth color suitable. Patients were recalled for routine inspections at 6 mo, 1, 2 and 3 years.RESULTS The restorations were assessed during each recall evaluation according to predetermined clinical and radiographic criteria (periapical lesion; marginal leakage and integrity; color stability; surface stain and loss of retention of the post or the composite buildup material). 14Role of magnesium and aluminum substitution on the structural properties and bioactivity of bioglasses synthesized from biogenic silica显示文摘The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of magnesium(1 wt%)and aluminum(1 wt%)incorporation on the in vitro bioactivity and biodegradation behavior of 45S5 bioactive glasses synthesized from rice husk biogenic silica.The performance of biogenic silica-based samples was compared well with commercial silica-based counterparts.The in vitro biodegradation behavior of bioactive glasses was evaluated by the weight loss of samples and pH variation in the Tris buffer solution.Based on composition,bioglasses possessed different properties before and after simulated body fluid(SBF)immersion.The incorporation of magnesium(Mg)and aluminum(Al)enhanced the Vickers hardness of bioglasses.All the bioglasses showed the hydroxyapatite layer formation after SBF treatment as confirmed by the dissolution,FTIR,SEM and XRD analysis,however it was more prominent in the rice husk silica-based 45S5 bioglass.The biogenic silica seems to be a promising starting material for bioglass systems to be used in bone tissue engineering applications.Burcu Karakuzu-Ikizler Pınar Terzioğlu Yeliz Basaran-Elalmis Bilge Sema Tekerek Sevil Yücel 2020Bioactive Materials2020,5,1:0
