| 1 | The enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP显示文摘In this paper we present the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP. eXTP is a space science mission designed to study fundamental physics under extreme conditions of density, gravity and magnetism. The mission aims at determining the equation of state of matter at supra-nuclear density, measuring effects of QED, and understanding the dynamics of matter in strong-field gravity. In addition to investigating fundamental physics, eXTP will be a very powerful observatory for astrophysics that will provide observations of unprecedented quality on a variety of galactic and extragalactic objects. | 4 | The essence of bidirectional programming显示文摘Bidirectional transformations(BXs), programs with a forward transformation and a backward transformation that maintain consistency between input and output, are routinely written in ways that do not let programmers specify their behavior completely. Several bidirectional programming languages exist to aid programmers in writing BXs with increased maintainability but decreased expressiveness. Such languages allow programmers to write BXs as one program for both directions, which is easier to maintain than separate programs for each direction. However, the maintainability provided by existing bidirectional languages comes at the cost of expressiveness because the ambiguity of synchronization is solved by default strategies which are hidden from programmers. The programmers' inability to influence synchronization strategies has led to the proposal of a vast number of approaches that consider tailor-made synchronization strategies for particular applications.In this paper, we argue that such ambiguity is essential for BX and advocate that the synchronization strategy should not be hidden from programmers but considered from the start. We propose a novel approach to specifying so-called well-behaved bidirectional programs by their backward transformations, capable of expressing all aspects of a BX while retaining maintainability. Soundness of our approach results from a systematic analysis, based on existing mathematical concepts, of the instrumental laws of well-behaved BXs. | 7 | The debris disk candidates:eleven 24μm excess stars in the Spitzer SWIRE fields显示文摘We present the optical to mid-infrared SEDs of 11 debris disk candidates from Spitzer SWIRE fields.All the candidates are selected from SWIRE 24μm sources matched with both the SDSS star catalog and the 2MASS point source catalog. They show an excess in the mid-infrared at 24μm(KS-[24]Vega≥0.44),indicating the presence of a circumstellar dust disk.The observed optical spectra show that they are all late-type main-sequence stars covering the spectral types of FGKM.Their fractional luminosities are well above 5×10-5,even up to the high fractional luminosity of 1×10-3.The high galactic latitudes of SWIRE fields indicate that most of these candidates could belong to the oldest stars in the thick disk.Our results indicate that high fractional luminosity debris disks could exist in old solar-like star systems,though they are still quite rare.Their discovery at high galactic latitudes also provides an excellent opportunity for further study of the properties and evolution of debris disks in regions of the Galaxy with low densities of ISM,called ISM poor environments. | Hong Wu Chao-Jian Wu Chen Cao Sebastian Wolf Jing-Yao Hu | 2012 | Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics2012,12,5: | 0 |
