2EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION AND THERMODYNAMIC CALCULATION ON PHASE PRECIPITATION OF INCONEL 740显示文摘A novel nickel-based superalloy INCONEL 740 was under development for application in ultra-supercritical superheater tubers above 750℃. The precipitation behaviors of η phase and γ’ particles of the alloy were investigated through experimental study and phase computation. Experimental results showed that η phase formed a Widmanst?tten pattern structure following long-term exposure at elevated temperatures and that the coarsening of γ’ particle follows a cube rate law:r-3 ∝ t. Thermodynamic calculation results showed that Al and Ti had an important effect on the precipitation behavior of γ’ andη phases. Two suggested novel modified alloys, wherein the Al and Ti contents were modified, were designed and melted for the experimental study. The preliminary results indicated that the modified alloys exhibited higher structural stability following long-term exposure at 750℃ till 5000h.S.Q. 3Engineering complex systems applied to risk management in the mining industry显示文摘Related to complexity, there is a wide diversity of concepts, ranging from ‘‘systemic' to ‘‘complex', implying a need for a unified terminology. Per different authors, the main drivers of complexity can be found in human behaviour and uncertainty. This complexity, structural or dynamic can be organizational, technological, or nested in their relationship. ISO international standard 31000:2009 definition of risk management ‘‘coordinated activities to direct and control an organization with regard to risk', when applied to economic sectors, industry, services, project, or activity, it requires the use of models or theories as guidelines. Therefore, as its basic elements comprehend human behaviour and/or uncertainty, risk management to be effective and adapted as much as possible to reality, must be operational within complex systems, as already demonstrated in different R&D environments. Risk management faces demanding challenges when approaching specific and endogenous needs, such as the mining sector. This paper presents a multivariable function analysis methodology approach based on complex system modelling and through real data corresponding to a risk management tool in the mining sector.Domingues Maria S.Q. 4CORROSION OF 1Cr13 STAINLESS STEEL IN SOILS显示文摘The network of soil corrosion of China, initiated in 1989 a soil burial program in representative corrosive soils utilizing 2 stainless steels(1Cr13 and 1Cr18Ni9Ti), The test soil sites contained acid, neutral, and alkaline soils. This report contains the results of 1Cr13 stainless steel obtained for specimens buried in the soils for up to 1,3,5 years.The results shown, there is slight corrosion of 1Cr13 stainless steel in acid or neutral soils and severe pitting corrosion in alkaline soils. The total contents of Cl and SO 4 2 in soils was the most important factor determining the corrosion behavior of 1Cr13 stainless steel in soils. 5A NOVEL PARAMETER FOR EVALUATING THE FATIGUE CRACK GROWTH RATE IN CARBON STEELS显示文摘A novel parameter is suggested for evaluating the fatigue crack growth rate in carbon steels. Fatigue crack propagation tests of an annealed O.42% carbon steel were carried out under different conditions to investigate the relationship between this dominating parameter and the crack opening displacement (COD). A new equation of fatigue crack growth rate is formulated in terms of the suggested parameter. The physical meanings of the material parameters in this equation are explored experimentally. Considering the relation of crack growth and deformation properties, a simple and applicable method is proposed to evaluate the fatigue crack growth rate. It is also observed that the material parameters in the fatigue crack growth rate equation of carbon steels are related linearly to the material strength. 6Template-free Fabrication and Luminescent Characterization of Highly Uniform and Monodisperse Y_2O_2S:Sm^(3+) Hollow Submicrospheres显示文摘Well dispersed and homogeneous Y2O2S:Sm3+ hollow submicrospheres were successfully achieved by a templatefree solvothermal method combining with a postcalcining process.The crystalstructure and particle morphology were investigated by the X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR) spectra,scanning and transmission electron microscopy(SEM and TEM),respectively.A possible growth mechanism was proposed to reveal the formation process.Luminescence properties of the Y2O2S:Sm3+ long-lasting phosphor were analyzed by measuring the excitation spectra,emission spectra,afterglow decay curve and thermoluminescence curve.The excitation spectra indicated that the phosphor could be excited effectively by the ultraviolet-light emitting diode(UV-LED) or blue LED,and the emission spectra showed that the phosphor could emit red light from 600 to 650 nm.S.Q.
