| 17 | Design of mesoporous ZnCoSiOx hollow nanoreactors with specific spatial distribution of metal species for selective CO_(2)hydrogenation显示文摘In heterogeneous catalysis,the precise placement of active components to perform unique functions in cooperation with each other is a tremendous challenge.The migration of matter on micro/nano-scale caused by diffusion is a promising pathway for design of catalytic nanoreactors with precise active sites location and controllable microenvironment through compartmentalization and confinement effects.Herein,we report two categories of mesoporous ZnCoSiOx hollow nanoreactors with different metal distributions and microenvironment engineered by the diffusion behavior of metal species in confined nanospace.Double-shelled hollow structures with well-distributed metal species were obtained by adopting core@shell structured ZnCo-zeolitic imidazolate framework(ZIF)@SiO2 as a template and employing three stages of hydrothermal treatment including the decomposition of ZIF,diffusion of metal species into the silica shell,and Ostwald ripening.Additionally,the formation of yolk@shell structure with a collective(Zn-Co)metal oxide as the yolk was achieved by direct pyrolysis of ZnCo-ZIF@SiO2.In CO_(2)hydrogenation,ZnCoSiOx with double-shelled hollow structures and yolk@shell structures respectively afford CO and CH_(4)as main product,which is related with different dispersion and location of active sites in the two catalysts.This study provides an efficient method for the synthesis of catalytic nanoreactors on the basis of insights of the atomic diffusion in confined space at the mesoscale. | Xinyao Wang Runping Ye Melis S.Duyar Cameron Alexander Hurd Price Hao Tian Yanping Chen Na Ta Hao Liu Jian Liu | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,4: | 0 |
| 18 | A novel Ag/ZnO core-shell structure for efficient sterilization synergizing antibiotics and subsequently removing residuals显示文摘The massive use of antibiotics has led to the aggravation of bacterial resistance and also brought environmental pollution problems.This poses a great threat to human health.If the dosage of antibiotics is reduced by increasing its bactericidal performance,the emergence of drug resistance is certainly delayed,so that there's not enough time for developing drug resistance during treatment.Therefore,we selected typical representative materials of metal Ag and semiconductor ZnO nano-bactericides to design and synthesize Ag/ZnO hollow core-shell structures(AZ for short).Antibiotics are grafted on the surface of AZ through rational modification to form a composite sterilization system.The research results show that the antibacterial efficiency of the composite system is significantly increased,from the sum(34.7%+22.8%-57.5%)of the antibacterial efficiency of AZ and gentamicin to 80.2%,net synergizes 22.7%,which fully reflects the effect of 1+1>2.Therefore,the dosage of antibiotics can be drastically reduced in this way,which makes both the possibility of bacterial resistance and medical expenses remarkably decrease.Subsequently,residual antibiotics can be degraded under simple illumination using AZ-self as a photocatalyst,which cuts off the path of environmental pollution.In short,such an innovative route has guiding significance for drug resistance. | Wenmei Han Wenli Wang Jie Fan Runping Jia Xuchun Yang Tong Wu Qingsheng Wu | 2024 | Green Energy & Environment2024,9,2: | 0 |
| 19 | Enhanced cold active lipase production by metagenomic library recombinant clone CALIP3 with a step-wise temperature and dissolved oxygen level control strategy显示文摘A metagenomic library recombinant clone CAPL3, an Escherichia coli strain generated by transformed with metagenomic library from deep-sea sediments, can efficiently produce cold active lipase. The effects of both temperature and dissolved oxygen(DO) on cold active lipase production by batch culture of metagenomic library recombinant clone(CAPL3) from deep-sea sediment were investigated. First, a two-stage temperature control strategy was developed, in which the temperature was kept at 34 °C for the first 15 h, and then switched to30 °C. The cold active lipase activity and productivity reached 315.2 U·ml^(-1)and 8.08 U·ml^(-1)·h^(-1), respectively,increased by both 14.5% compared to the results obtained with temperature controlled at 30°C. In addition, different DO control modes were conducted, based on the data obtained from the different DO control strategies and analysis of kinetics parameters at different DO levels. A step-wise temperature and DO control strategy were developed to improve lipase production, i.e., temperature and DO level were controlled at 34 °C, 30% during 0–15 h;30 °C, 30% during 15–18 h, and 30 °C, 20% during 18–39 h. | 20 | Waist circumference cutoff points for Chinese adults with metabolic syndrome defined by the International Diabetes Federation显示文摘Objective To investigate the appropriate waist circumference (WC) cutoff points for central obesity in the middle-aged and elderly Beijing residents by the metabolic syndrome definition of the International Diabetes Federation (IDF). Methods A total of 2,344 Beijing residents aged ≥40 years were investigated. They answered questionnaires, received physical examinations, and underwent plasma glucose and lipid profile measurement. Those non-diabetic subjects underwent a 75g oral glucose tolerance test. All data were analyzed to calculate the appropriate WC cutoff points for central obesity reaching the diagonsis of MS. Results 1) Both in males and females, the triglyceride (TG), systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and fasting plasma glucose (FPG) increased linearly with WC, and the high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) decreased linearly with WC (P<0.05). 2)The prevalence of elevated TG, reduced HDL-C, elevated blood pressure, elevated FBG, or ≥ 2 of these factors increased with WC (P<0.05). 3) Based on the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis and Youden index, the WC values for central obesity and for detecting BMI ≥ 25 kg/m2 were about 90 cm for men and 80 cm for women. 4) The odds ratio for the presence of two or more metabolic risk factors increased abruptly in men with WC ≥ 90 cm and in women with WC ≥ 80 cm.
