1Tagetes erecta Linn.and its mosquitocidal potency against Culex quinquefasciatus显示文摘Objective:To investigate mosquitocidal effects of ethanolic extract of(lowers of Tagetes erecta(T.erecta) and its chloroform and petroleum ether soluble fractions against the larvae of Culex quinquefasciatus(Cx.quinquefasciatus).Methods:The fresh flowers of T.erecta were extracted in cold with ethanol(5.0 L) and after concentration,the ethanol extract was fractionated with chloroform and petroleum ether to afford a brownish syrupy suspension of ethanol extract(50.0 g),petroleum ether soluble fraction(18.6 g) and chloroform soluble fraction(23.8 g).The larvicidal effect of ethanol extract and their solvent fractions were determined by the standard procedure of WHO against different instars of Cx.quinquefasciatus.Results:Among the tested samples the chloroform soluble fractions showed the highest toxicity and consequently,the lowest LC_(50) values(14.14 μ g/mL,17.06 μ g/mL.36.88 μ g/mL and 75.48 μ g/mL) for all the instars larvae of Cx.quinquefasciatus.The larvae showed comparative tolerance in the course of increasing age and time.Conclusions:It can be concluded that the flowers of T.erecta are very effective natural larvicide and could be useful against Cx.quinquefasciatus.Farjana Nikkon M Rowshanul Habib Zahangir Alam Saud M Rezaul Karim 2011Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2011,1,3:10
2Inhibition of Ehrlich ascites carcinoma by Manilkara zapota L.stem bark in Swiss albino mice显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the antitumor activity of Manilkara zapota(M.zapota) L.stem bark against Ehrlich ascites carcinoma(EAC) in Swiss albino mice.Methods:The in vivo antitumour activity of the ethyl acetate extract of stem bark of M.zapota L.(EASM) was evaluated at 50,100 and 200 mg/kg bw against EAC using mean survival time.After administration of the extract of M.zapota,viable EAC cell count and body weight in the EAC tumour hosts were observed.The animal was also observed for improvement in the haematological parameters(e.g.,heamoglobin content,red and white blood cells count and differential cell count) after EASM treatment. 3重症肌无力患者调节性T细胞线粒体自噬状态与其代谢的相关性研究显示文摘目的探讨外周血调节性T细胞(regulatory T cell,Tregs)线粒体自噬异常参与重症肌无力(myasthenia gravis,MG)发病的细胞代谢机制。方法选择2016年10月至2018年4月作者医院收治的MG患者15例,另选择同期体检的15名健康成年人作为对照组。采用Ficoll密度梯度离心法分离出人外周血单个核细胞(PBMC),选用基于分离柱的人CD4+CD25+Tregs分选试剂盒分离得到Tregs,以健康人群的Tregs作为对照组(health control,HCs),将MG患者的Tregs分为MG组、MG经羰基氰化物间氯苯腙(CCCP)诱导组(MGCCCP)、MG经环孢素(CsA)诱导组(MG-CsA)。采用流式细胞仪检测各组Tregs线粒体质量、活性氧(reactive oxygen species,ROS)、细胞凋亡水平,采用酶标仪检测各组Tregs乳酸水平。结果与对照组比较,MG组线粒体受损比例、细胞凋亡比例、平均ROS水平、乳酸水平升高(P<0.05),ROS正常细胞比例降低(P<0.05);与MG组比较,MG-CCCP组线粒体受损比例、细胞凋亡比例、乳酸水平降低(P<0.05),平均ROS水平、ROS正常细胞比例升高(P<0.05);与MG组比较,MG-CsA组线粒体受损比例、细胞凋亡比例、乳酸水平、平均ROS水平升高(P<0.05),而ROS正常细胞比例降低(P<0.05)。结论 MG患者Tregs线粒体质量下降,导致其ROS释放增加,ROS正常细胞比例减少,糖酵解生成的乳酸增多,细胞凋亡增加,CCCP通过促进MG患者Tregs线粒体自噬,可清除部分受损线粒体,缓解代谢压力,减少细胞凋亡,而CsA可通过抑制MG患者Tregs线粒体自噬,加剧代谢紊乱,使细胞凋亡增加。阳玉洁 袁江 彭小倩 曾佩 徐勇 邹利 卢祖能 Md Rezaul Karim 王云甫 2019中国神经免疫学和神经病学杂志2019,26,1:5
4WISE USE OF WETLAND FOR SUSTAINABLE LIVELIHOOD THROUGH PARTICIPATORY APPROACH:A CASE OF ADAPTING TO CLIMATE CHANGE显示文摘The facts showed that the number of unemployment people is increasing and a large part of them live in the low-lying areas to be facing the challenge from impacts of climate change. So adaptive capacity of the poverty level for sustainable livelihood in vulnerable wetlands is related to coping with local climate change. This paper focuses on soil-less agriculture (Hydroponics) as an alternative source of livelihood means for the communities having no lands for cultivation. Approximately half of Bangladesh is covered with wetlands. The prospect of enormous productivity lies in the development of wetland resources. The soil-less agriculture is an indigenous practice in the middle of southwestern part of Bangladesh. The people who lives within the wetland ecosystems uses locally available paddy straws, water hyacinths and various invasively aquatic plants for making the floating mat or organic bed on which crops, vegetables and seedlings are grown. The productivity of this farming system is much higher than that of terrestrials agricultural and the system can support fisheries of open water. The compost generated from organic refuse bed is a kind of enriched nutrient and can act as a soil conditioner. It would be a major source of nutrients in aquaculture as well. The system is capable to ensure more agriculture production by restoring wetlands from aquatic invasive plant. 5“稻清”减轻水稻穗期高温伤害的原因分析显示文摘以粳型杂交稻品种常优1号为供试材料,于抽穗开花期进行高温处理,同时设置稻清不同药剂浓度处理,研究了高温条件下喷施该药剂后水稻产量及其构成的变化,并分析了其影响机理。结果表明,高温胁迫显著降低了水稻结实率和千粒重,因而显著降低产量。无论是高温胁迫还是在常温条件下,喷施稻清均显著增加了水稻结实率和千粒重,显著增加产量。稻清处理主要通过降低穗部温度,提高颖花中抗氧化酶类活性,进而有效清除活性氧自由基等过氧化物,提高花粉粒育性、促进花药开裂和花粉粒萌发,最终提高受精结实率和粒重,显著降低高温带来的减产效应。Mohammad Rezaul Islam 符冠富 奉保华 陶龙兴 金丽华 陈婷婷 2018中国稻米2018,24,3:3
6Evaluation of antitumour activity of Calotropis gigantea L.root bark against Ehrlich ascites carcinoma in Swiss albino mice显示文摘Objective:To investigate experimentally the possible antitumor effect of methanol extract(ME) of Calotropis gigantea L.(C.gigantean) root bark and its petroleum ether(PEF) and chloroform(CF) soluble fractions against Ehrlich ascites carcinoma(EAC) in Swiss albino mice.Methods:The effects of ME(10 and 20 mg/kg),PEF(40 and 80 mg/kg) and CF(20 and 40 mg/kg) on the growth of EAC and life span of EAC bearing mice were studied.Hematological profile and biochemical parameters(SAI.P,SGPT and SCOT) were also estimated.Results:Results of in vivo study showed a significant decrease in viable tumor cell count and a significant increase of life span in the ME and CF treated group compared to untreated one.The life span of ME and CF treated animals was significandy(P<0.05) increased by 43.90%(20 mg ME/kg) and 57.07%(40 mg CF/kg).ME and CF brought back the hematological parameter more or less normal level.ME and CF also restored the altered levels of serum alkaline phosphatase(SALP) and serum glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase(SGOT).Conclusions:Methanol extract(ME) of C.gigantea root bark and its chloroform soluble fraction(CF) possesses significant antitumor activity.M Rowshahul Habib M Rezaul karim 2011Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2011,4,10:2

9Allometric relationship for estimating above-ground biomass of Aegialitis rotundifolia Roxb. of Sundarbans mangrove forest, in Bangladesh显示文摘Tree biomass plays a key role in sustainable management by providing different aspects of ecosystem. Estimation of above ground biomass by non-destructive means requires the development of allometric equations. Most researchers used DBH (diameter at breast height) and TH (total height) to develop allometric equation for a tree. Very few species-specific allometric equations are currently available for shrubs to estimate of biomass from measured plant attributes. Therefore, we used some of readily measurable variables to develop allometric equations such as girth at collar-height (GCH) and height of girth measuring point (GMH) with total height (TH) for A. rotundifolia, a mangrove species of Sundarbans of Bangladesh, as it is too dwarf to take DBH and too irregular in base to take Girth at a fixed height. Linear, non-linear and logarithmic regression techniques were tried to determine the best regression model to estimate the above-ground biomass of stem, branch and leaf. A total of 186 regression equations were generated from the combination of independent variables. Best fit regression equations were determined by examining co-efficient of determination (R2), co-efficient of variation (CV), mean-square of the error (MSerror), residual mean error (Rsme), and F-value. Multiple linear regression models showed more efficient over other types of regression equation. 13Government ownership and the capital structure of firms:Analysis of an institutional context from China显示文摘Emerging economies provide interesting scenarios for examining how institutional context influences the financing behavior of firms. In this study, we examine the capital structure of Chinese listed firms following the SplitShare Structure Reform of 2005. This reform allowed a reduction of government ownership by making government shares tradable. We find that the impact of government ownership on leverage is dependent on whether the government is the largest shareholder in a firm and whether the government ownership is through a parent state-owned enterprise.
