| 1 | Electrode materials derived from plastic wastes and other industrial wastes for supercapacitors显示文摘The present review not only devotes on the environmental consequences of plastic bag wastes and other industrial wastes observable in the landfills,in the oceans or elsewhere but also gives a new insight idea on conversion of them into worth material,carbon,for the best electrochemical supercapacitor.Transformation of plastic wastes into high-value materials is the incentive for plastic recycling,end-oflife handling case for plastic bag wastes in practice quite limited.The plastic recycling waste for reuse saves energy compared with manufacturing virgin materials.Herein,we identified several synthetic methods to convert plastic waste and other industrial wastes into carbon material for supercapacitor.Different kinds of carbon materials,including nanofiber,nanotube,graphene,mesoporous carbon,etc.,have been derived from plastic waste,and thus give a superior potential for transforming trash into a'gold capacitor'.Finally,conclusions and future trends of high-voltage supercapacitors were made as well as the easy and mass production of high-performance electrode materials for supercapacitors.Our work offers a promising sustainable approach to handle plastic bags,waste,and other industrial wastes and provides a new avenue in supercapacitor applications and other areas. | Wellars Utetiwabo Le Yang Muhammad Khurram Tufail Lei Zhou Renjie Chen Yimeng Lian Wen Yang | 2020 | Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,6: | 5 |
| 2 | Stem taper functions for Betula platyphylla in the Daxing’an Mountains,northeast China显示文摘Accurate prediction of stem diameter is an important prerequisite of forest management.In this study,an appropriate stem taper function was developed for upper stem diameter estimation of white birch(Betula platyphylla Sukaczev)in ten sub-regions of the Daxing’an Mountains,northeast China.Three commonly used taper functions were assessed using a diameter and height dataset comprising 1344 trees.A first-order continuous-time error structure accounted for the inherent autocorrelation.The segmented model of Max and Burkhart(For Sci 22:283–289,1976.http://gffzzd3cc09b8251d45dfsufoxnbqxu6bx60pu.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/10.1093/fores tscie nce/22.3.283)and the variable exponent taper function of Kozak(For Chron 80:507–515,2004.http://gffzzd3cc09b8251d45dfsufoxnbqxu6bx60pu.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/10.5558/tfc80507-4)described the data accurately.Owing to its lower multicollinearity,the Max and Burkhart(1976)model is recommended for diameter estimation at specific heights along the stem for the ten sub-regions.After comparison,the Max and Burkhart(1976)model was refitted using nonlinear mixed-effects techniques.Mixed-effects models would be used only when additional upper stem diameter measurements are available for calibration.Differences in region-specific taper functions were indicated by the method of the non-linear extra sum of squares.Therefore,the particular taper function should be adjusted accordingly for each sub-region in the Daxing’an Mountains. | Muhammad Khurram Shahzad Amna Hussain Harold EBurkhart Fengri Li Lichun Jiang | 2021 | Journal of Forestry Research2021,32,2: | 4 |

| 4 | Effect of rare earth and transition metal La-Mn substitution on electrical properties of co-precipitated M-type Ba-ferrites nanoparticles显示文摘In the current research work Ba_(1-x)La)xMn)yFe_(12-y)O_(19) hexa-ferrite nanoparticles of different compositions were synthesized using chemical co-precipitation technique. The structural properties were explored using X-ray diffractions(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and Fourier transmission infrared spectroscopy(FTIR). XRD indexed pattern confirms the formation of M-type hexagonal phase. The crystallite size of synthesized samples ranges from 13 to 34 ± 2 nm. FTIR peaks observe also confirmed the presence of metaloxygen bond of the desired product. The position of peak at 467 cm^(-1) corresponds to A_2 u vibration for octahedral Fe(4+)-O and peak position E1 u corresponds to vibration of Fe(3+)O4 octahedral bonds. The band v_1 in range(677-559 cm^(-1)) and v_2 in frequency range(356-419 cm^(-1)) are associated to A and B sites.Dielectric properties of all compositions were measured with frequency. The dielectric constant, loss and tangent loss decrease from 26 to 9, 25 to 2 and 0.94 to 0.14, respectively with frequency. | 7 | Loan growth and bank solvency:evidence from the Pakistani banking sector显示文摘Background:The dramatic loan growth and changes in the Pakistani banking system in mid-2000s have led to significant research attention on borrowers and lenders.This expansion and diversification in financial sector was driven by structural reforms,political stability and significant economic growth.Against this background,this study investigates the loan growth and risk-taking behavior of the banks during the expansionary periods of lending.Method:This study used dynamic two-step system generalized method of moment’s estimation technique,based on data taken from 32 banks in Pakistan over 2006-2014.Result:Loan growth has a significant effect on bank-specific and macroeconomicspecific variables.Loan growth in the previous year raises non-performing loans and decreases the solvency of banks with a time lag of many years.The driving force behind this phenomenon is weak prudential regulation among competitors,the asymmetric information of the borrowers,and,most importantly,that banks underestimate the risk of lending during credit booms.Conclusion:More regulatory measures are required to ensure a strong financial system when the volume of non-performing loan grows significantly.An increase in the capital requirement policy for rapidly growing banks is also needed because the problem of abnormal loan growth cannot be detected at the current time.At the same time,strong supervision is necessary to avoid the adverse consequences of borrower selection. | Muhammad Kashif Syed Faizan Iftikhar Khurram Iftikhar | 2016 | Financial Innovation2016,2,1: | 2 |

| 20 | A Novel Auto-Annotation Technique for Aspect Level Sentiment Analysis显示文摘In machine learning,sentiment analysis is a technique to find and analyze the sentiments hidden in the text.For sentiment analysis,annotated data is a basic requirement.Generally,this data is manually annotated.Manual annotation is time consuming,costly and laborious process.To overcome these resource constraints this research has proposed a fully automated annotation technique for aspect level sentiment analysis.Dataset is created from the reviews of ten most popular songs on YouTube.Reviews of five aspects—voice,video,music,lyrics and song,are extracted.An N-Gram based technique is proposed.Complete dataset consists of 369436 reviews that took 173.53 s to annotate using the proposed technique while this dataset might have taken approximately 2.07 million seconds(575 h)if it was annotated manually.For the validation of the proposed technique,a sub-dataset—Voice,is annotated manually as well as with the proposed technique.Cohen’s Kappa statistics is used to evaluate the degree of agreement between the two annotations.The high Kappa value(i.e.,0.9571%)shows the high level of agreement between the two.This validates that the quality of annotation of the proposed technique is as good as manual annotation even with far less computational cost.This research also contributes in consolidating the guidelines for the manual annotation process. | Muhammad Aasim Qureshi Muhammad Asif Mohd Fadzil Hassan Ghulam Mustafa Muhammad Khurram Ehsan Aasim Ali Unaza Sajid | 2022 | Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,3: | 0 |
