| 1 | Airborne bioaerosols and their impact on human health显示文摘Bioaerosols consist of aerosols originated biologically such as metabolites, toxins, or fragments of microorganisms that are present ubiquitously in the environment. International interests in bioaerosols have increased rapidly to broaden the pool of knowledge on their identification,quantification, distribution, and health impacts(e.g., infectious and respiratory diseases,allergies, and cancer). However, risk assessment of bioaerosols based on conventional culture methods has been hampered further by several factors such as:(1) the complexity of microorganisms or derivatives to be investigated;(2) the purpose, techniques, and locations of sampling; and(3) the lack of valid quantitative criteria(e.g., exposure standards and dose/effect relationships). | 3 | Hepatogenic differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells induced by insulin like growth factor-Ⅰ显示文摘AIM:To improve hepatic differentiation of human mesenchymal stem cell(MSC)using insulin growth factor 1(IGF-Ⅰ),which has important role in liver development,hepatocyte differentiation and function.METHODS:Bone marrow of healthy donors was aspirated from the iliac crest.The adherent cells expanded rapidly and were maintained with periodic passages until a relatively homogeneous population was established.The identification of these cells was carried out by immunophenotype analysis and differentiation potential into osteocytes and adipocytes.To effectively induce hepatic differentiation,we designed a protocol based on a combination of IGF-Ⅰ and liver specificfactors(hepatocyte growth factor,oncostatin M and dexamethasone).Morphological features,hepatic functions and cytological staining were assessed to evaluate transdifferentiation of human marrow-derived MSCs.RESULTS:Flow cytometric analysis and the differentiation potential into osteoblasts and adipocytes showed that more than 90% of human MSCs which were isolated and expanded were positive by specif ic markers and functional tests.Morphological assessment and evaluation of glycogen storage,albumin and α-feto protein expression,as well as albumin and urea secretion revealed a statistically signif icant difference between the experimental groups and control.CONCLUSION:In vitro differentiated MSCs using IGF-Ⅰwere able to display advanced liver metabolic functions,supporting the possibility of developing them as potential alternatives to primary hepatocytes. | Maryam Ayatollahi Masoud Soleimani Seyed Ziaadin Tabei Maryam Kabir Salmani | 2011 | World Journal of Stem Cells2011,3,12: | 10 |
| 4 | 一个矮秆多分蘖水稻突变体的植物激素动态特性分析显示文摘【目的】比较水稻矮秆多分蘖突变体与野生型材料间的植物激素含量差异,并分析不同生长调节剂处理对其株高、分蘖的影响,探析植物激素在突变体形态发育过程中的生理功能。【方法】以T-DNA插入引起的矮秆多分蘖突变体(CA648)及对照中花11(ZH11)为供试材料,采用高效液相色谱法(HPLC)分析三叶期、五叶期、分蘖盛期、拔节孕穗期的根、假茎(或茎)、叶中的赤霉素(GA1,GA4)、生长素(IAA)、玉米素(Z)和脱落酸(ABA)的含量,进行CA648与ZH11在不同生长发育时期的不同器官中的植物激素含量差异比较分析;利用液相色谱-串联质谱联用法(HPLC-MS/MS)测定拔节孕穗期根、基部、茎秆及叶片中的IAA、Z及玉米素核苷(ZR)的含量并进行根、茎、叶等不同器官中IAA与Z+ZR含量间的比值差异分析;在CA648与ZH11的不同生长发育时期喷施不同浓度的GA3、IAA、Z及多效唑处理后统计株高、分蘖的变化特性,并比较分析CA648与ZH11对不同生长调节剂处理的反应敏感性差异。【结果】不同生长发育时期的CA648与ZH11的不同器官中的植物激素存在不同变化趋势。GA1+4含量变化情况为在三叶期和五叶期的叶片中两者相差不大,而根和假茎中的含量则是CA648高于ZH11;从五叶期至拔节期,随着生育期延长,ZH11的假茎和根中GA1+4含量升高而叶片中含量降低,但CA648却表现出相反的变化趋势,假茎和根中的GA1+4含量降低但叶片中含量却升高。IAA含量变化情况为五叶期、分蘖盛期时CA648叶片中的IAA含量低于ZH11,而假茎中的IAA含量却高于ZH11;拔节期时,CA648的根、茎、叶中IAA含量均与ZH11对应器官中的IAA含量相差不大。Z、ZR含量变化情况为三叶期CA648的根与假茎中的Z含量都低于ZH11;在拔节期,分蘖部位的基部和茎中的Z+ZR含量为CA648高于ZH11,而叶片中的Z+ZR含量却是CA648略低于ZH11。ABA含量变化情况为在三叶期、五叶期时CA648的ABA含量高于ZH11,而拔节期却显著低于ZH11。IAA与Z+ZR的比值情况为在顶叶、茎秆中是CA648大于ZH11,而在基部和根中则是CA648中的比值小于ZH11。不同浓度GA3、IAA、Z和多效唑喷施处理表明CA648的株高易受生长调节剂的影响。与喷水对照相比,喷施GA3、IAA、Z均能增加CA648的株高,其敏感性依次为GA3处理>IAA处理>Z处理;喷施多效唑后CA648与ZH11的株高均明显降低;虽然CA648与ZH11的株高均受GA3、多效唑等生长调节剂的影响,但CA648更敏感,当喷施的GA3浓度≥288μmol·L-1时,CA648的株高能够达到或超过ZH11的株高;与株高易受生长调节剂的影响不同,CA648的多分蘖特性几乎不受长调节剂处理的影响,无论是否喷施生长调节剂,CA648的分蘖数均远远多于ZH11。【结论】与对照相比,CA648体内的GA1、GA4、IAA、Z、ZR含量及其IAA与Z+ZR的比值有利于矮秆多分蘖性状的形成,即植物激素含量与比例能够反映CA648的生理特性;生长调节剂对CA648的分蘖与株高具有不同调控效果,喷施GA3、IAA、Z和多效唑能够显著改变株高,但其多分蘖特性不受株高改变的影响。 | 刘清 童建华 史齐 彭克勤 王若仲 蔺万煌 Mohammed Humayun Kabir 沈革志 萧浪涛 | 2014 | 中国农业科学2014,47,13: | 8 |
| 5 | 在孟加拉国的不含酒精的脂肪肝疾病病人的不含酒精的 steatohepatitis显示文摘 AIM: To explore the prevalence and risk factors for nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) patients. METHODS: We have included 493 patients with sonographic evidence of a fatty change, and 177 of these individuals were evaluated and confirmed after liver biopsy. The exclusion criteria consisted of significant alcohol abuse (< 20 g daily), evidence of hepatitis B and C, evidence of drug-induced fatty liver disease and other specific liver diseases such as hemochromatosis, Wilson’s disease or autoimmune liver disease. The patients were assessed for metabolic syndrome, and biochemical, anthropometric and histopathological evaluations were carried out. The degree of disease activity in the NAFLD patients was evaluated using the NAFLD Activity Score. The data were analyzed by SPSS, version 16.0. RESULTS: Females predominated among the study participants (250, 57.0%), and the mean age was 40.8 ± 10.2 years. The numbers of overweight, obeseⅠ and obese Ⅱ patients were 58 (13.2%), 237 (53.9%) and 93 (21.2%), respectively. However, there were 422 (96.2%) centrally obese patients. NASH was absent in 10 (5.6%) cases, borderline in 92 (52.6%) cases and present in 75 (42.4%) cases. The presence of diabetes could significantly (P = 0.001) differentiate NASH from simple steatosis. The following parameters did not influence the development of NASH: age, sex, basal metabolic index, waist circumference, serum high-density lipoprotein, triglyceride, insulin resistance index, hypertension and metabolic syndrome. The serum gammaglutamyl transpeptidase (GGT) level was significantly higher (P = 0.05, 51.7 ± 32.8 and 40.4 ± 22.6 U/L) in the NASH patients, with a sensitivity of 45% and a specificity of only 68%. The serum alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase levels were not able to predict NASH. CONCLUSION: Females were the predominant sufferers of NAFLD in Bangladesh. The prevalence of NASH was high. Diabetes was found to be the main culprit in developing NASH. GGT was the only biochemical marker of NASH. | 6 | Designing multilayer diamond like carbon coatings for improved mechanical properties显示文摘New multilayer coatings were produced by incorporating alternating soft and hard DLC layers enabled by varying the bias voltage during deposition process while maintaining a constant hard-to-soft layer thickness ratio.These coatings were deposited onto a Cr/Cr Cxgraded layer by closed field unbalanced magnetron sputtering(CFUBMS).The cross-sectional analysis of the coatings showed that the multilayer coatings possess sharp interfaces between the soft and hard layers with the hard to soft layer thickness ratio(1:1.33)constant in all the coatings.Raman analysis uncovered the increasing sp^(3)character of the DLC coatings as a result of decreasing ID/IGratio and increasing full width at half maximum(FWHM)values of the G band peak induced supposedly by an increase in bias voltage during hard layer deposition.Nanoindentation tests showed an increase in hardness of the DLC coatings which can be correlated with the increase in the sp^(3)content of the coatings as well as decreasing sp^(2)-C cluster size,as calculated from the ID/IGratio.Furthermore,the coatings exhibited excellent plastic deformation resistance and adhesion strength upon microindentation and scratch testing,respectively.Although further investigations are required to assess coating durability,the multilayer design could offer the DLC coatings with a rare opportunity to combine the high hardness with damage resistance with a constant bilayer thickness and without the need to introduce complex multilayer system. | Mohammad Sharear Kabir Zhifeng Zhou Zonghan Xie Paul Munroe | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,6: | 6 |

| 8 | The alteration in the architecture of a T-DNA insertion rice mutant osmtd1 is caused by up-regulation of Micro RNA156f显示文摘Plant architecture is an important factor for crop production. Some members of micro RNA156(mi R156) and their target genes SQUAMOSA Promoter-Binding Protein-Like(SPL) were identi fi ed to play essential roles in the establishment of plant architecture. However, the roles and regulation of mi R156 is not well understood yet. Here, we identi fi ed a T-DNA insertion mutant Osmtd1(Oryza sativa multi-tillering and dwarf mutant). Osmtd1 produced more tillers and displayed short stature phenotype. We determined that the dramatic morphological changes were caused by a single T-DNA insertion in Osmtd1. Further analysis revealed that the T-DNA insertion was located in the gene Os08g34258 encoding a putative inhibitor I family protein. Os08g34258 was knocked out and Osmi R156 f was signi fi cantly upregulated in Osmtd1. Overexpression of Os08g34258 in Osmtd1 complemented the defects of the mutant architecture, while overexpression of Osmi R156 f in wild-type rice phenocopied Osmtd1. We showed that the expression of Os SPL3, Os SPL12,and Os SPL14 were signi fi cantly downregulated in Osmtd1 or Osmi R156 f overexpressed lines, indicating that Os SPL3,Os SPL12, and Os SPL14 were possibly direct target genes of Osmi R156 f. | 10 | 调节基于老鼠样品改进人的间充质的干细胞的扩大显示文摘 AIM: To improve the isolation and expansion of human marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) based on rat samples. METHODS: Based on the fact that rat MSCs are relatively easy to obtain from a small aspirate, bone marrow-derived MSCs from rat were cultured and characterized to set up the different protocols used in this study. Then, accordingly, almost the same protocols were performed on human healthy bone marrow samples, after obtaining approval of the ethics committee and gaining informed consent. We used different protocols and culture conditions, including the type of basal media and the culture composition. The MSCs were characterized by immunophenotyping and differentiation. RESULTS: There was no difference in morphology and proliferation capacity between different culture media at the first passage. During the 5-7th passages, the cells gradually lost their morphology and proliferation potential on Dulbecco’s modified Eagle’s medium (DMEM) high glucose and α modified Eagle’s medium. Although the cells expanded rapidly for up to 10 passages on DMEM low glucose containing 10% to 15% fetal calf serum (FCS), their proliferation was arrested without change in morphology and differentiation capacity at the third passage on 5% FCS. Flow cytometric analysis and functional tests confirmed that more than 90% of marrow cells which were isolated and expanded by our selective protocols were MSCs. | 16 | Metal-organic framework(MOF)-derived catalysts for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis: Recent progress and future perspectives显示文摘Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis(FTS) is an important catalytic chemical reaction that converts a mixture of CO and H2(syngas) derived from biomass, coal or natural gas into ultra-clean fuels or value-added chemicals. However, most traditional catalysts used in the Fischer-Tropsch process are faced with the problems of high deactivation rate triggered by sintering, phase changes and oxidation which hamper their catalytic performance. Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)-derived materials have been a promising alternative in addressing the catalyst deactivation problems in FTS because of the encapsulation of their metal nanoparticles in carbon matrix and absence of large particle size, among other reasons. Therefore, this review emphasizes the most recent research headway in the investigation of MOFs as precursors to achieve high-performance FTS catalysts. Precisely, the design of iron and cobalt-based FTS catalysts from parent MOFs via MOF-mediated synthesis, the catalytic activity of the MOF-derived materials and the promoter effects under FTS operation were outlined and discussed. We have also evaluated the influence of MOF structures on the FTS performance and compared them with traditional/commercially available catalysts to show the importance of this approach. | 17 | Evolving screening and surveillance techniques for Barrett's esophagus显示文摘Barrett's esophagus(BE) is a change in the esophageal lining and is known to be the major precursor lesion for most cases of esophageal adenocarcinoma(EAC).Despite an understanding of its association with BE for many years and the falling incidence rates of squamous cell carcinoma of the esophagus, the incidence for EAC continues to rise exponentially. In association with this rising incidence, if the delay in diagnosis of EAC occurs after the onset of symptoms,then the mortality at 5 years is greater than 80%. Appropriate diagnosis and surveillance strategies are therefore vital for BE. Multiple novel optical technologies and other advanced approaches are being utilized to assist in making screening and surveillance more cost effective. The surface architectures and functionalities of the seeds were found to modify due to plasma treatments. 6 min treatment was provided 95%–100% germination rate.For the treatment duration of 3 and 9 min the growth activity, dry matter accumulation, leaves chlorophyll contents, longest spikes, number of spikes/spikelet and total soluble protein content in shoots were improved.
