1Comparison of dynamic adsorption/desorption characteristics of toluene on different porous materials显示文摘Four different types of adsorbents, SBA-15, MCM-41, NaY and SiO2, were used to study the dynamic adsorption/desorption of toluene. To further investigate the influence of pore structure on its adsorption performance, two SBA-15 samples with different microspores were also selected. It is shown that microporous material NaY has the largest adsorption capacity of 0.2873 mL/g, and the amorphous SiO2 exhibits the least capacity of 0.1003 mL/g. MCM-41 also shows a lower break through capacity in spite of the relatively small pore diameter, because it can not provide the necessary small geometric confinement for the tiny adsorbates. However, the mesoporous SBA-15 silica with certain micropore volume shows relatively higher adsorption capacity than that of MCM-41 silica. The presence of micropores directly leads to an increase in the dynamic adsorption capacity of toluene. Although NaY has the highest adsorption capacity for toluene, its complete desorption temperature for toluene is high (> 350°C), which limits its wide application. On the contrary, mesoporous silica materials exhibits a good desorption performance for volatile organic compounds at lower temperatures. Among these materials mesoporous SBA-15 samples, with a larger amount micropores and a lower desorption temperature, are a potentially interesting adsorbent for the removal of volatile organic compounds. 2Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. 3The enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP显示文摘In this paper we present the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP. eXTP is a space science mission designed to study fundamental physics under extreme conditions of density, gravity and magnetism. The mission aims at determining the equation of state of matter at supra-nuclear density, measuring effects of QED, and understanding the dynamics of matter in strong-field gravity. In addition to investigating fundamental physics, eXTP will be a very powerful observatory for astrophysics that will provide observations of unprecedented quality on a variety of galactic and extragalactic objects. 4CO2 hydrogenation to methanol over Cu/CeO2 and Cu/ZrO2 catalysts:Tuning methanol selectivity via metal-support interaction显示文摘Copper-based catalysts for CO2 hydrogenation to methanol are supported on ZrO2 and CeO2,respectively.Reaction results at 3.0 MPa and temperatures between 200 and 300°C reveal that Cu catalysts supported on ZrO2 and CeO2 exhibit better activity and selectivity than pure Cu catalyst due to Cu-support(ZrO2 and CeO2)interaction.Combining the structural characterizations with in-situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy(in-situ DRIFTS),Cu/CeO2 shows the higher methanol selectivity due to the formation of main carbonates intermediates,which are closely related with the oxygen vacancies over Cu/CeO2.In contrast,bicarbonate and carboxyl species are observed on Cu/ZrO2,which originates from the hydroxyl groups presented on catalyst surfaces.Difference in CO2 adsorption intermediates results in the distinct methanol selectivity over the two catalysts.Weiwei Wang Zhenping Qu Lixin Song Qiang Fu 2020Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,1:11
5Adsorption behavior of sulfamethazine in an activated sludge process treating swine wastewater显示文摘Swine wastewater is an important pollution source of antibiotics entering the aquatic environment. In this work,the adsorption behavior of sulfamethazine(SMN),a commonlyused sulfonamide antibiotic,on activated sludge from a sequencing batch reactor treating swine wastewater was investigated. The results show that the adsorption of SMN on activated sludge was an initially rapid process and reached equilibrium after 6 hr. The removal efficiency of SMN from the water phase increased with an increasing concentration of mixed liquor suspended solids,while the adsorbed concentration of SMN decreased. Solution pH influenced both the speciation of SMN and the surface properties of activated sludge,thus significantly impacting the adsorption process. A linear partition model could give a good fit for the equilibrium concentrations of SMN at the test temperatures(i.e.,10,20 and 30°C). The partition coefficient(Kd) was determined to be 100.5 L/kg at 20°C,indicating a quite high adsorption capacity for SMN. Thermodynamic analysis revealed that SMN adsorption on activated sludge was an exothermic process. 6Variation and selection analysis of Pinus koraiensis clones in northeast China显示文摘Understanding genetic variation is important for efficiently selecting excellent clones and utilizing genetic resources during tree breeding. We investigated 16 growth traits of 50 32-year-old Pinus koraiensis clones. Analyses of variance showed that all the test traits differed significantly among clones. Average height, diameter at breast height(DBH), and volume of all clones were 10.41 m, 21.30 cm,and 0.148 m3, respectively. Phenotypic coefficients of variation and repeatabilities of traits ranged from 4.37 to48.03% and from 0.013 to 0.900, respectively. There exists significant positive correlations among heights, diameter at different heights(1.3, 3.0, 5.0 m), and volumes; genetic correlation was close to phenotype correlation. Using four growth traits(height, DBH, volume, average crown width)as indices for a comprehensive evaluation, five clones(PK11, PK 19, PK 04, PK 14, and PK 28), whose traits scored in the top 10%, were selected as elite clones. For these clones,genetic gains in height, DBH, volume and crown height were 8.58, 13.02, 32.72 and 3.83%, respectively. 7Synthesis of carbon-coated magnetic nanocomposite(Fe_3O_4@C) and its application for sulfonamide antibiotics removal from water显示文摘The occurrence of antibiotics in the environment has recently raised serious concerns regarding their potential threat to human health and aquatic ecosystem. A new magnetic nanocomposite, Fe3O4@C(Fe3O4 coated with carbon), was synthesized, characterized, and then applied to remove five commonly-used sulfonamides(SAs) from water. Due to its combinational merits of the outer functionalized carbon shell and the inner magnetite core, Fe3O4@C exhibited a high adsorption affinity for selected SAs and a fast magnetic separability. The adsorption kinetics of SAs on Fe3O4@C could be expressed by the pseudo second-order model. The adsorption isotherms were fitted well with the Dual-mode model, revealing that the adsorption process consisted of an initial partitioning stage and a subsequent hole-filling stage. Solution pH exerted a strong impact on the adsorption process with the maximum removal efficiencies(74% to 96%) obtained at pH 4.8 for all selected SAs. Electrostatic force and hydrogen bonding were two major driving forces for adsorption, and electron-donor-acceptor interactions may also make a certain contribution. 8Deficient Rnf43 potentiates hyperactive Kras-mediated pancreatic preneoplasia initiation and malignant transformation显示文摘Background:Largely due to incidental detection,asymptomatic pancreatic cystic le-sions(PCLs)have become prevalent in recent years.Among them,intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm(IPMN)infrequently advances to pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC).Conservative surveillance versus surgical intervention is a difficult clinical decision for both caregivers and PCL patients.Because RNF43 loss-of-function mutations and KRAS gain-of-function mutations concur in a subset of IPMN and PDAC,their biological significance and therapeutic potential should be elucidated.Methods:Pancreatic Rnf43 knockout and Kras activated mice(Rnf43^(−/−);Kras^(G12D))were generated to evaluate their clinical significance in pancreatic pre-neoplastic initiation and malignant transformation.Results:Loss of Rnf43 potentiated the occurrence and severity of IPMN and PDAC in oncogenic Kras mice.The Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway was activated in pan-creatic Kras^(G12D)and Rnf43 knockout mice and the PORCN inhibitor LGK974 blocked pancreatic IPMN initiation and progression to PDAC accordingly.Conclusions:Rnf43 is a tumor suppressor in the prevention of pancreatic malignant transformation.This genetically reconstituted autochthonous pancreatic Rnf43^(−/−);Kras^(G12D)preclinical cancer model recapitulates the pathological process from pancreatic cyst to cancer in humans and can be treated with inhibitors of Wnt/β-catenin signaling.Since the presence of RNF43 and KRAS mutations in IPMNs predicts future development of advanced neoplasia from PCLs,patients with these genetic anomalies warrant surveillance,surgery,and/or targeted therapeutics such as Wnt/β-catenin inhibitors.Xian Zhou Zhichao Sun Mengdi Zhang Xiaoyu Qu Shuhui Yang Lianmei Wang Yanling Jing Li Li Weiwei Deng Fangming Liu Jin Di Jie Chen Jian Wu Hongbing Zhang 2022Animal Models and Experimental Medicine2022,5,1:3

10The prior rules of designing Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) MXene-based gas sensors显示文摘Working temperature,sensitivity,and selectivity are some of the characteristics of the applied gas sensors.How to design and fabricate an ideal gas sensor working at room temperature is still challenging and attracting lots of interest.Two-dimensional(2D)materials with ultra-thin structure have been demonstrated as a family of ideal candidates to achieve this goal.Among them,Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) MXene,a kind of layered sheet synthesized by selectively etching MAX phases materials,shows remarkable potential to be the sensitive materials solely or in a composite.However,their designing rules are still lacking critical thinking from the viewpoint of the intrinsic property of Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) MXene based materials.In this article,two critical features,i.e.,the thickness of the sensitive materials,and the scope of the analytes,are elaborated towards Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) MXene based gas sensors after characterizing the performance of sensing reducing gases(NH3 and CO)and oxidizing gas(NO2).First,the thinner the Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) MXene sensitive layer,the better the sensitivity.Second,the Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) MXene based gas sensor is not suitable for strong and moderate oxidation gas due to its ease of oxidation.These two rules are demonstrated,and could be considered with priority both in the future researches and practical applications.Yingying Jian Danyao Qu Lihao Guo Yujin Zhu Chen Su Huanran Feng Guangjian Zhang Jia Zhang Weiwei Wu Ming-Shui Yao 2021Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2021,15,3:3

12Overview to the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (Insight-HXMT) Satellite显示文摘As China’s first X-ray astronomical satellite, the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (HXMT), which was dubbed as Insight-HXMT after the launch on June 15, 2017, is a wide-band(1-250 ke V) slat-collimator-based X-ray astronomy satellite with the capability of all-sky monitoring in 0.2-3 Me V. 14Pt/Mo2C heteronanosheets for superior hydrogen evolution reaction显示文摘One of the most primary challenges to achieve large-scale hydrogen generation from water electrolysis is the sluggish kinetics and noble metal dependence of cathodic hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).By considering the excellent water dissociation catalytic activity of Mo2C, abundant Pt/Mo2C interfaces were facilely engineered via galvanic replacement(gr) by using Mo/Mo2C nanosheets as self-sacrificed templates to alter the alkaline HER mechanism on Pt based catalyst. The rational designed interface-rich gr-Pt/Mo2C catalyst exhibited excellent activity with the overpotential to drive 10 mA/cm2 current density decreased by 18.5 mV compared with the commercial Pt/C catalyst. 34.3 mV/dec Tafel slope confirms the Volmer-Tafel HER route on gr-Pt/Mo2C in alkaline condition. Platinum utilization is calculated to be improved by 9.7 times by considered the low Pt loading in the gr-Pt/Mo2C catalyst. 15Rapid phenotypic evolution with shallow genomic differentiation during early stages of high elevation adaptation in Eurasian Tree Sparrows显示文摘Known as the‘third polar region’,the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau represents one of the harshest highland environments in the world and yet a number of organisms thrive there.Previous studies of birds,animals and humans have focused on well-differentiated populations in later stages of phenotypic divergence.The adaptive processes during the initial phase of highland adaptation remain poorly understood.We studied a human commensal,the Eurasian Tree Sparrow,which has followed human agriculture to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.Despite strong phenotypic differentiation at multiple levels,in particular in muscle-related phenotypes,highland and lowland populations show shallow genomic divergence and the colonization event occurred within the past few thousand years.In a one-month acclimation experiment investigating phenotypic plasticity,we exposed adult lowland tree sparrows to a hypoxic environment and did not observe muscle changes.Through population genetic analyses,we identified a signature of polygenic adaptation,whereby shifts in allele frequencies are spread across multiple loci,many of which are associated with muscle-related processes.Our results reveal a case of positive selection in which polygenic adaptation appears to drive rapid phenotypic evolution,shedding light on early stages of adaptive evolution to a novel environment.Yanhua Qu Chunhai Chen Ying Xiong Huishang She Yong E Zhang Yalin Cheng Shane DuBay Dongming Li Per G P Ericson Yan Hao Hongyuan Wang Hongfeng Zhao Gang Song Hailin Zhang Ting Yang Chi Zhang Liping Liang Tianyu Wu Jinyang Zhao Qiang Gao Weiwei Zhai Fumin Lei 2020National Science Review2020,7,1:2
16An investigation of Zr/Ce ratio influencing the catalytic performance of CuO/Ce1-xZrxO2 catalyst for CO2 hydrogenation to CH3OH显示文摘A series of CuO/Ce1-xZrxO2 catalysts(x=0.2,0.4,0.6 and 0.8)are applied to elaborate the effect of the Zr/Ce ratio on the catalytic performance of CO2 hydrogenation to CH3OH.The best catalytic performance is achieved with CuO/Ce0.4Zr0.6O2,exhibiting XCO2=13.2%and YCH3OH=9.47%(T=280℃,P=3 MPa).The formation of dispersed surface CuO species and larger number of oxygen vacancies are detected over CuO/Ce0.4Zr0.6O2 due to stronger interaction between CuO and Ce0.4Zr0.6O2,resulting in the superior activation ability for H2 and CO2 respectively.Additionally,the evidence is provided by in situ DRIFTS under the activity test pressure(3 MPa)that bi/m-HCOO* species are preferable for accumulating over ceria-rich(CuO/Ce0.6Zr0.4O2 and CuO/Ce0.8Zr0.2O2)catalysts while zirconia-rich(CuO/Ce0.4Zr0.6O2 and CuO/Ce0.2Zr0.8O2)catalysts are benefit to encourage the transformation of bi/m-HCOO* species to CH3OH.The abundant population and high activity of intermediate species over CuO/Ce0.4Zr0.6O2 give a strong positive effect on the catalytic performance.Weiwei Wang Zhenping Qu Lixin Song Qiang Fu 2020Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,8:2
17CO_(2)hydrogenation to methanol promoted by Cu and metastable tetragonal Ce_(x)Zr_(y)O_(z) interface显示文摘Designing effective catalyst to improve the activity of CO_(2) hydrogenation to methanol is a potential avenue to realize the utilization of CO_(2) resources. Herein we construct three kinds of Cu/Ce_(x)Zr_(y)O_(z)(CCZ) catalysts with different crystal phases of Ce_(x)Zr_(y)O_(z)solid solutions, which demonstrate distinct activity and methanol selectivity in the order of metastable tetragonal-CCZ(CCZ-t’’, parts of oxygen in Ce_(x)Zr_(y)O_(z) were replaced by tetragonal phase from cubic fluorite phase) > tetragonal-CCZ(CCZ-t) > cubic-CCZ(CCZ-c) for CO_(2) hydrogenation to methanol. Structural analysis reveals that oxygen vacancies, surface hydroxyls and unsaturated Cu species of CCZ all follow the same sequence as that of activity and methanol selectivity,indicating that the above features are beneficial to improve the catalytic reaction performance.Temperature programmed experiments and mechanism studies show that the interface between Cu and tetragonal(t and t’’) Ce_(x)Zr_(y)O_(z) can promote CO_(2) adsorption, and the adsorbed CO_(2) is more reactive and can generate active bidentate carbonate species, which can be hydrogenated to form active monodentate and bidentate formate species under CO_(2) and H_(2) atmosphere. These intermediates should be crucial to the formation of methanol product. CCZ-t’’has stronger H_(2) activation ability than CCZ-t, which makes the former catalyst have more intermediates and higher methanol selectivity. In contrast, CO_(2) mainly adsorbs on cubic Ce_(x)Zr_(y)O_(z) support of CCZ-c, but its H_(2) spillover ability is low, which hinders the reaction process. In addition, the strong adsorption of surface intermediates on CCZ-c is also not conducive to methanol formation.
